Robin Hood star Lauren McQueen’s life and where you have seen her before

Marian is portrayed by Lauren McQueen in Robin Hood, the most recent soap adaptation of the timeless tale. She has enjoyed great success in the soap industry in recent years.

The most recent adaptation follows Rob (portrayed by Jack Patten) and Marian during their early years, as has just been released on MGM+.

Before he became the infamous outlaw, Rob was a young 24 year old trying to find his way in life.

Marian is depicted similarly as a young, untrained girl who develops into a woman who finds her own voice.

The role of Marian is played by Lauren McQueen, a 29 year old actress hailing from Liverpool, whose acting debut was in the BBC miniseries, Good Cop.

Her career took off when she joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Lily Drinkwell in 2017 – a role which bagged her two British Soap Awards, reports the Express.

Her character had a relationship with Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer), and a self-harming plot that was based on a car accident.

The Mix, Mind, NSPCC, Samaritans, and Samaritans were the four charities that the show co-hosted the heartbreaking storyline, which then expanded to include group self-harm.

The plot won the British Soap Awards 2018 for Best Storyline and Best Single Episode, and Lauren made the decision to leave the soap to pursue new endeavors the following year.

Her character met a tragic end after her mental health deteriorated and she succumbed to sepsis following a self-harm relapse.

She appeared in Outlander: Blood of My Blood and Belgravia: The Next Chapter after Hollyoaks.

She shared her thoughts on working with her co-stars, including Sean Bean, as the Sheriff of Nottingham, as well as her most recent role in Robin Hood.

She expressed her excitement at working with him. He gives the Sheriff and the show an extra dimension. He is such a genuine, honest individual.

Celebrity Traitors star is unrecognisable in throwback picture ahead of show final

Claudia Winkleman, the host of Celebrity Traitors, has a distinctive appearance with light brunette hair and a makeup free appearance.

With shoulder length brunette hair flicked over to one side while sporting a make-up free complexion, this Celebrity Traitors star looks completely unrecognisable in a throwback picture taken during her time at Cambridge University.

But this is Claudia Winkleman. The TV presenter, who recently caused a stir following her announcement to quit Strictly Come Dancing alongside her co-host Tess Daly, is seen sat among her peers in a photo from her time at Murray Edwards College, in 1990.

The actress was only 18 when she started out, and she was wearing a knitted navy jumper and pair of white jeans, a far cry from her signature fringe and bold outfits.

Claudia, 53, has long been a fan favorite thanks to her sharp wit and extensive eye makeup.

In a heartfelt social media post, she made it known that she was leaving her Strictly role with Tess Daly.

She said at the time, “It’s very difficult to express what Strictly means to me in words. The best relationship I’ve ever had has been. It has been my life’s work since I started working on It Takes Two in 2004. I’m forever grateful for it.

She continued, “I will never forget Len Goodman’s attempt to explain what a cucaracha is (I still don’t know) and how incredible it was to work with Tess on the results show to co-host on Saturday nights.”

It’s been a privilege to be a tiny part of the magical, glittery, fake tanned train, she continued. The incredible talent of the dancers, the band, the hair and makeup, and costume teams, as well as the incredible production team and creatives are all truly amazing.

She ended her post by saying, “I know the new hosts will be wonderful, and I’ve always believed it’s best to leave a party before you’re fully prepared to go.”

The TV personality, who will host Celebrity Traitors’ highly anticipated finale in a few days, first appeared on Strictly in 2004 as the spin-off show It Takes Two.

Years on, she landed the role to co-host the main BBC show. Explaining how the phrase “right place, right time” worked for her , she revealed in her autobiography Quite : “Strictly has been (I don’t want your stomach to turn, so please be prepared) a gift to me. A barnstorming, stonking, thunderbolt of a present.”

She continued, “I started working on It Takes Two in 2004. My son was a baby when they said, “Look, can you talk about the Foxtrot every night live at 6:30 PM,” and there had already been one series. I could spend the morning with him before going to work. I am aware. I was incredibly lucky during the six-week run. After that, I continued to present the results, and when Sir Bruce left, I was given Tess’s job. Sometimes good fortune just slips your way. How did I, an orange, scruffy, short, and idiot, get to appear in one of the country’s favorite TV programs?

There hasn’t been a better example of right place, right time on earth, she continued, “all I can say is that.”

The state’s FIFA mini-stadium project was allegedly mishandled and poorly executed, according to the Kebbi Football Association.

Contrary to what some people had been saying on social media, the project was fully completed over two years ago and had since been put to use, according to Alhaji Abubakar Chika-Ladan, the chairman of the Kebbi Football Association.

There have been numerous allegations that the National Football Federation (NFF) misappropriated funds or that the project was not carried out properly.

He said, “We are here to let everyone know that the mini-stadium has been operational since then.”

The facility, according to Chika-Ladan, has hosted a number of local and national football competitions, including Kebbi United Football Club’s home ground, which it also hosted last year.

In addition, Kamfara United has moved to Kebbi to use the facility.

What people claim is just a figment of their imagination is what they say.

He claimed that those who spread such rumors are hostile toward Nigerian progress and progress.

FIFA Handled the Project.

The FIFA appointed both the contractor and the consultant through an international competitive bidding process won by Nigerian firms, according to the FA chairman.

Controversy

Following widespread criticism of its appearance and value, the Birnin Kebbi mini-stadium project, which was funded through FIFA’s Forward Programme, came under intense scrutiny.

FIFA’s use of the stadium’s image on its social media banner, which sparked outcry and inquiries into an investigation, led to the ensuing controversy.

However, Shehu Dikko, the NSC’s chairman, refuted claims that the $1 was allegedly squandered. $2 million is allocated to the state’s mini-stadium construction.

Sex Education star Aimee Lou Wood will play George Harrison’s wife Pattie Boyd, as Sam Mendes gets to work on a new series of films based on each member of The Beatles.

The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event will be retold by the Skyfall director in the ambitious project, which is currently being called The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event. Aimee, 31, is the cast of Paul McCartney’s beloved wife Linda, who later joined his post-Beatles band Wings. Saoirse Ronan, 31, is the Irish Oscar nominee for the role.

Yoko Ono will be played by Japanese actress Anna Sawai, 33, while British Tracy Beaker star Mia McKenna-Bruce, 28, will play Ringo Starr’s other half Maureen Cox.

Ringo Starr will be played by Saltburn actor Barry Keogan, 33, while George Harrison will be played by Joseph Quinn, a character from Stranger Things. McCartney will be played by Paul Mescal from The Normal Peoples, and Harris Dickinson, who plays John Lennon, will take the place of Harris Dickinson.

Mendes announced the female actors for his new project on Saturday, saying, “Four fascinating and distinctive figures in their own right, and I’m thrilled that we’ve persuaded four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure.”

All four films are currently slated for release in April 2028, with Deadline reporting that Mendes described The Beatles as the “most significant band” of all time. He told the outlet: “I had been trying to do a film for years, but I finally gave up.” He said he felt their “story was too big for one film”, adding that a TV series wasn’t right for it.

He remarked, “The epic story had to be told in a way that the whole generation could understand.” I can assure you that there is still room for exploration and that we have succeeded.

The screenplays will be written by Tony Award-winning actor Jack Thorne, Oscar-winning actor Peter Straughan, and BAFTA-winning actor Jez Butterworth. Whether they will collaborate on all of their movies or work on their own productions is not known as of yet.

Mendes stated in a statement that he was honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time and that he was excited to challenge the notion of what a movie vacation would be like. Four films told from four different perspectives, which tell a single story about the most renowned band of all time, are intended to be a uniquely thrilling and epic cinematic experience, according to Phillippa Harris, a partner of Neil Street Productions.

Ringo previously praised the Sam Mendes movie project on social media by saying, “We all support the project. Yes, indeed”.

Commenting on Keoghan being cast to play him in the biopic, Ringo also told Entertainment Tonight: “I think he’s great, I believe he’s somewhere taking drum lessons. I hope not too many.”

Nigeria ‘welcomes US assistance’ to fight ‘terrorism’ after Trump’s threats

After US President Donald Trump threatened military action in the West African nation over what he claimed was persecution of Christians there, Nigeria says it would welcome assistance from the US as long as its territorial integrity is upheld.

Trump claimed in a social media post on Saturday that he had asked the Defense Department to prepare for a potential “fast” military strike against Nigeria if the continent’s most populous nation doesn’t stop the “killing of Christians.”

Nigeria’s presidency’s representative, Daniel Bwala, stated to the Reuters news agency on Sunday that the nation would “welcome US assistance as long as it recognizes our territorial integrity.”

By the time these two leaders meet and convene, “our collective resolve to combat terrorism will have better outcomes,” Bwala continued.

Trump stated in his post that if the Nigerian government continues to permit the killing of Christians, the US would immediately stop providing any assistance to the nation.

Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, earlier rebuffed accusations of religious intolerance and supported his country’s efforts to defend religious freedom.

Our administration has engaged with Christian and Muslim leaders since 2023, and it continues to address security issues that affect people of all faiths and regions, according to a statement from Tinubu.

The government’s repeated and sincere efforts to protect the freedom of religion and beliefs of all Nigerians are not taken into account when describing Nigeria as being religiously intolerant, nor does it reflect our country’s reality.

Nigeria’s population, which is more than 200 million, is divided between the country’s north, which is largely Muslim, and the south, which is largely Christian.

Armed groups have been at odds with a conflict that has lasted for more than 15 years and has mostly lasted in the northeast of the nation. According to analysts, the majority of the victims were Muslims, compared to Christians.

No Christian genocide, please.

Experts claim that there has been no “Christian genocide” because human rights organizations have urged the government to do more to combat the country’s unrest. Boko Haram and other armed groups have carried out deadly attacks on the country, but they are simplistic and false.

According to Bulama Bukarti, a Nigerian humanitarian lawyer and analyst on conflict and development, “all the data reveals that there is no Christian genocide going on in Nigeria.” President Trump is “amplifying a dangerous far-right narrative that has been simmering for a long time.”

According to Bukarti, “It is divisive, and it will only make Nigeria more unstable,” adding that armed groups have targeted both Muslims and Christians in the country.

They “bomb” markets, They bomb churches. Everywhere they look for civilian targets are attacked by them, including mosques. They don’t treat Muslims or Christians differently.

The Trump administration should work with Nigerian authorities, according to Ebenezer Obadare, a senior fellow of Africa studies at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, DC.
