Adam Peaty issues apology to Holly Ramsay in ‘hard’ family confession

The wedding of Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty is scheduled for this Saturday at Bath Abbey, but the Olympic swimmer apologized to his soon-to-be wife shortly before the ceremony.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty, 30, has admitted he’s struggled to “get that balance” in his family life, while apologising to partner Holly Ramsay, 25, for having to “share the same space”.

During an appearance on the Live, Laugh, Luke… with Luke Hamnett podcast, just a couple of months before his wedding to TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter this weekend, the athlete was asked about the importance of his role as a father to his five-year-old son George, whom he shares with ex Eiri Munro.

Luke said: “Talk to me about how important it is for you to be a dad,” to which Olympian Adam replied: “It’s the most important job in the world for me.”

He continued, mentioning that his desire to have more children with Holly in the future, and that it is his top priority to do so. “And, as a father, to hopefully have future children and stuff, [it does not matter about anything else.

We have a very fair balance, a very good balance, and for me, that is the most important one, even though I don’t get to spend as much time with him as I do because of my job.

Adam thanked Holly for how she had to “share” his attention with his son, before going on to say that the influencer and model is very understanding.

He admitted, “And then we have husband… they kind of share the same space, I’m sorry, but she gets it.”

Adam’s 2021 Strictly appearance with Katya Jones, which he and his son performed in ninth place, was also included in his list of personal accolades, but he claimed that he “lights up” the most when he spends quality time with his son.

He continued, “But then it’s athlete, then it’s business owner, then it’s ninth on Strictly!”

Although I’m a very emotional person and a thinker, I love that my energy, love, and light shines most when I’m with him, so I love that.

Adam continued to say that despite having his priorities in order, it was challenging to strike a balance between everything in his busy life.

The gold medal winning swimmer has been in the midst of family drama recently, as his mum Caroline and dad Mark were noticeably absent from his wedding to Holly, after some of their relatives were said to have been uninvited from the ceremony.

Bethany, Adam’s sister, was reportedly the only family member on his side who was present at the wedding. After Adam’s mother was dissapointed for her hen party, tensions are thought to have gotten worse.

Caroline claimed to The Mail just hours before the wedding: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.

“This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding.”

Adam made a statement about the reported feud in the lead-up to the wedding, writing on Instagram: “For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.

Even in these trying times, I am continuing to learn about myself and how to become the man I want to be: a respectable partner, father, businessman, friend, and athlete.

We don’t ask for sympathy; Bethany, Holly, and I will get through this. Simply put, we need people to realize that every story has a different storyline. Thank you to those of you who have shown kindness and understanding. It is greatly appreciated.

The 2025 Welsh Grand National at Chepstow was won by Sean Bowen on a home voyage aboard Haiti Couleurs.

At 5-1, the Rebecca Curtis-trained horse won by three lengths.

The eight-year-old Haiti Couleurs won the Irish National in 2024, and he is most likely going to start competing in the March Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

2023 champion Nassalam came in late, along with Midlands Grand National Champion Mr. Vango, who had won the previous season, with 19 runners going post.

The 9-2 favorite Jubilee Express attempted to finish the race, but Kielan Woods put his jumping on hold in the second circuit and was pushed back five yards.

Last year, the Bowen-Curtis duo teamed up to win the Irish Grand National, and Bowen’s front-riding strategy has proven to be effective.

Trainer Curtis was pleased to put a line through the horse because he had been given a 16-day race turnaround, which might have been a little quicker, despite the fact that he had already been pulled up in his final start at Haydock.

He’s absolutely amazing, according to Curtis, “but I thought the weight would get him today.”

“We knew we had him bang-on today, but that performance was weak.”

On the cards for a gold cup?

With a 25% strike rate, champion jockey Bowen has won 162 races overall and has been competing at a high level all season.

Bowen remarked, “It’s incredible to win the Welsh race in my home country,”

I can’t quite believe Rebecca gave an incredible training performance to bring him back.

He has provided me and the entire team with incredible horses.

‘Excellent’ dehumidifier that costs 1p to run gets whopping 53% off in Boxing Day sale

An “excellent” dehumidifier that customers have hailed as the “replacement to damp” has been reduced by an impressive 53% off this Boxing Day sale.

A dehumidifier at a discount has been touted as “the solution to damp.” Debenhams is currently offering the Pro Breeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier for a staggering 53% off the list price.

The gadget’s price has been slashed from £79.99 down to £37.99 – a tidy saving of £42. Even this lowers the discounted price of £54.99 for Pro Breeze.

This mini-dehumidifier is praised for reducing humidity and moisture quickly and effectively. Its compact design makes it ideal for smaller spaces up to 200 cubic feet. This energy-efficient device runs for only 1p per hour, according to the energy calculator sust-it.

Kate Middleton re-wears a chic suede handbag on Christmas Day, which is still available.

This provides a practical way to combat condensation and damp as the winter gets warmer. According to Bristol Live, Pro Breeze claims that its Mini Dehumidifier can extract up to 500ml of water per day from its 1500ml tank.

It features Peltier technology, ensuring quiet operation, making it a great choice for bedrooms, living rooms or home offices. Its lightweight and portable design means it can be conveniently placed on desks, bedside tables or cabinets. A unique feature is its viewing portal, allowing users to quickly check the water level in the tank.

Additionally, the dehumidifier has an automatic shut-off feature that alerts users when it needs to empty its container via an LED light. The EasyAcc 1200ml Electric Dehumidifier, which is currently Amazon’s best-selling model, is in stark competition with this Pro Breeze model.

Despite having a lower price tag of £46.99 (reduced from £58.99), it has a smaller capacity and costs a little more to run.

This Dunelm 1L Dehumidifier, which is currently available for purchase for £25, is another affordable option to consider.

The EasyAcc is rated 4. 4 out of 5 stars, while the Pro Breeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier also has a higher review rating.

One Debenhams shopper remarked about the Pro Breeze as “the] answer to a damp room.” Really works, and one of my bedrooms has been transformed.

Another user expressed how “running seems very quiet and effective.” Used it when I had to dry a lot of towels inside and was surprised how much water it had gathered.

However, this customer had a different opinion of the dehumidifier’s noise levels, saying it was “not as quiet as expected.” Could not sleep in a room while it was on.

Pound-for-pound star Inoue cruises past Picasso

Naoya Inoue, a super-bantamweight champion from Japan, defeated Alan David Picasso Romero in a stylish display to win the title in Saudi Arabia.

Inoue, 32, is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing and excelled in 12 dominant rounds.

As the judges scored the contest 119-109, 120-108, and 117-111 in favor of the champion, Picasso, 25, was unable to live with Inoue’s speed and body shots in Riyadh.

Inoue, a four-division world champion and undisputed in two weight classes, expressed disappointment with his performance despite the one-sided nature of the victory.

He said, “I should have done better, but my performance tonight is not good enough.”

With the victory, Inoue extended his perfect record to 32 victories, including 27 by knockout, and sets up a potential showdown with Junto Nakatani in 2026.

In a close game marred by a contentious scorecard, Nakatani outscored Mexico’s Sebastian Hernandez Reyes on the undercard.

Picasso is left by Superstar Inoue.

Inoue and heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, both of whom were ringside, can be regarded as one of boxing’s top fighters now that Terence Crawford has retired.

Inoue smoothly maneuvered through the gears after evaluating Picasso in the opening rounds.

Inoue appeared largely unaffected by his opponent’s strength in the first half despite the taller, rangier Picasso’s success in the first half.

Gennady Golovkin, the current president of World Boxing, watched intently as Inoue upped the tempo, threw effective combinations, and carried the fight with confidence.

As the resultant results became more and more obvious, Picasso’s movement slowed as the resultant heavy right hands and repeated hooks to the body were combined.

A valiant, last-ditch attempt at an unlikely upset was made with a thudding left hook in the 12th, but the fight had since gone on to become a masterclass.

Arghboric scorecard, but Inoue-Nakatani hopes are still alive.

Inoue claimed in the lead-up that his playing career is “running out” but that he has other options.

While he has embraced the challenge of unified super-flyweight champion Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, there has been rumors about a move up to featherweight to face Liverpool’s WBA world champion Nick Ball.

However, Nakatani is the opponent who many fans and renowned Saudi Arabian boxing champion Turki Alalshikh is most interested in watching.

Nakatani, who vacated his WBC and IBF bantamweight titles to regain weight, was a strong favorite to take Hernandez’ place in the opening round with sharp uppercuts and potent bodywork.

Hernandez struggled to fade in the second half, pressing forward relentlessly and landing impactful shots.

The contentious 118-110 scorecard highlighted well-known judiciary issues in the sport.

The three-weight world champion, who is unbeaten, added 32 victories to his 32 overall record, 24 of which were by stoppage.

Inside Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s first Christmas with baby Palma

As Mark and Michelle celebrated with their baby girl, Jessica Wright gave her followers a sneak peek into the Wrights’ Christmas.

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan are celebrating their first Christmas as a family of three, and besides going all out with the decorations at their home in Essex, the pair also enjoyed festivities with the rest of the Wright family.

The couple, who welcomed their daughter Palma in March, wanted to make the milestone extra special for their nine-month-old. Former TOWIE star Jessica Wright shared a glimpse of the extended family’s celebrations on Instagram, including some heartwarming snaps of Palma enjoying her first Christmas.

The young child was pictured playing with the new dollhouse that she appeared to have received as a present in one photo while the young child was sitting with her three young boy cousins.

In a red velvet dress with a large bow at the back and a white headband, Palma looked adorable. Jessica was photographed touching Palma’s adorable Christmas tree in another sweet snap.

Christmas was all wrapped up in Jessica’s caption. I consider myself to be incredibly fortunate. Thinking of all those who haven’t seen this year or loved ones who have gone missing.

The Wright family’s Christmas dinner featured all the classics, including roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower, peas, carrots, and roast potatoes, accompanied by plenty of gravy and glasses of prosecco for the adults.

In the Wright family home, the kids had fun playing with their new toys together. Mark and Michelle’s holiday decorations included no expense.

They decorated the hallway with red velvet bows and twinkling lights, and they placed an enormous Christmas tree there. Along the staircase, they also adorned opulent garlands with red baubles and lights.

A source previously told OK! that Mark is particularly excited for his first Christmas as a parent. They shared: “Mark loves Christmas and he’s wanted a family for a long time, so for him it couldn’t get any better. He’s like an excited puppy dog and cherishing every minute of it. It means the world to him.”

Michelle, who has been busy filming crime thriller The Blame for ITV, is prioritising family time during the festive season. Her relatives from Manchester came to Essex to celebrate Christmas with her and Mark, and then the couple spent the rest of the festive season with the Wright family.

She’s been very busy, according to the insider source, but her family is first. It’s lovely to spend some time with someone special, especially since she and Mark once practically lived apart because of work.

The mum previously shared a glimpse of a festive outfit she got baby Palma that would match hers. Michelle posted an adorable snap of the tot in Christmas pyjamas, captioning it: “Matching with my girl,” complete with a white heart emoji.

The celebrity couple shared the exciting news with a black-and-white image of the newborn snuggled up in a crochet blanket along with the caption “Together we have a new love to share. Our newest member. Palma Elizabeth Wright, 06.03.25”.
