Rob and Michele Reiner funeral update as devastated children speak out

After their brother was charged with the murders of their parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s children have spoken out.

The couple’s 32-year-old son Nick, who had battled addiction and was reportedly receiving schizophrenia, has been charged with their deaths after their deaths were discovered in their Los Angeles home on December 14. Jake, 34, and Romy, 27, the other children of Rob and Michele, have expressed their gratitude for their support, as well as confirm that details for a service of remembrance will follow in due course.

The two then described their parents as their “best friends,” not just their parents.

(Evan Agostini/Invision/AP) Rob Reiner and his wife Michele have three children: Jake, Romy, and Nick.

The siblings’ representatives stated in a new statement that they are forever grateful for the love and support they have received.

They will inform people about a memorial service in their parents’ honor at a later time.

Romy and Jake claimed last week that they had endured “unimaginable pain” daily.

Words cannot even begin to describe the unbearable pain we are going through each day, according to a statement from last week. No one should ever go through the horrifying and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. They were our best friends, not just our parents.

When discussing the circumstances surrounding their deaths, the siblings continued to thank and thank people for their love and support.

We are appreciative of the kindness, condolences, and support we have received from people of all kinds, not just from our own families and friends.

We now request respect and privacy, tolerance for speculation and compassion for humanity, and the memorialization of our parents for the extraordinary lives they led and the love they shared.

After being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, their brother made his first court appearance last Wednesday (17.12.25).

During his appearance at Los Angeles Superior Court, Nick wore a blue anti-suicide smock and shackles despite having battled addiction and homelessness for years.

His lawyer, Alan Jackson, declined to offer a plea for his client. Nick did have a brief speech at the hearing, though.

When asked if he would consent to a swift trial, he responded, “Yes, your honor.” The date of Nick’s arraignment is currently January 7, 2026.

After being alerted when Rob and Michele didn’t respond to a scheduled visitor on their home’s security buzzer, Romy and a friend alerted them to the bodies of their parents in their bedroom.

Police and medical assistance arrived at the address after around 3.38 p.m. when the couple were already dead.

‘A step ahead’ – why Wharton holds key for Palace

Adam Wharton may be in the mix when Crystal Palace attempts to win more silverware on Tuesday at Emirates Stadium.

The Eagles won the FA Cup earlier this year, and the midfielder, age 21, won it with Liverpool.

The EFL Cup’s second round’s winner must first defeat Premier League leaders Arsenal in the quarter-finals before Oliver Glasner’s side can move on.

Keep Wharton at the helm of the looming transfer window for January could be crucial if Palace are to continue to improve their recent success and establish a consistent presence in European competition.

According to Match of the Day pundit Thomas Hitzlsperger, “He is still a young player, but the way he moves around the pitch looks so calm and he hasn’t even played 50 Premier League games yet.”

Being so central and inexperienced while still having such an impact on this team is really impressive. A contemporary number six who both wins and passes the ball.

His focus is always on the pitch, he says. He is aware of where his teammates are and where he is. He occasionally jogs around and doesn’t really get sweaty, but he is aware of where his needs are in his current situation. “No one can get the ball off of him.”

After falling to Leeds on Saturday, Palace moved up to eighth place in the Premier League, only three points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea.

They will need Wharton’s best performance in the Conference League’s two-legged play-off if they want to advance and maintain their European dream.

According to BBC Sport’s head football correspondent Phil McNulty, the “classy, fiercely competitive midfielder” has been “running games with his” loping, languid style.”

It should come as no surprise that he has connections to numerous Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, and both Manchester teams.

 Adam Wharton open-play touch mapOpta

What are his rivals in the Premier League?

Wharton made an impressive display in the middle of the park despite losing to Manchester City by 3-0 in December.

No player in the game made more tackles than his four, which should surprise Opta, who averages 2.2 tackles per game.

He plays defensively strong, and he averages 2.1% of his passes per game, which highlights game intelligence and judgment.

Wharton has made 15 appearances in the Premier League this season and has played 1, 213 minutes so far.

He averages 4.9 progressive passes per match and 0.7 open-play chances.

He leads his team-mates in terms of attempted passes in the final third (170), second in terms of through balls (82), and one behind Yeremy Pino, who has the most chances created (211).

Wharton expands the conversation so that only Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson can average a 50% dribble completion while expanding the conversation to include other Premier League midfielders.

Rice leads with 11.3, followed by Anderson (9.8) and Bruno Guimaraes (6.5), who also holds the lead in progressive carries. Caicedo averages 6.1% while Wharton is 4.8%.

Wharton may be the worst pass- and pass-ahead midfielder out of those five, but he has the third-most forward passes under high-intensity pressure completed in 90 minutes, with a 6.53, which suggests he is more likely to try line-breaking passes.

He is being viewed as a future star and demonstrates his ability to engage with the best players in the Premier League right now.

Wharton himself knows that there is still work to be done, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The midfielder said, “I try to take bits from everyone,” after his team beat Wolves 2-0 last month. People come up in various positions, whether it’s the opposition or through training.

He continued, “I chat to them off the pitch as well as learn new things, even if it’s not necessarily about football but the mental side of things.”

“It’s tiny things,” I make an effort to take as much as possible, hoping it will improve.

Wharton is a member of Tuchel’s England team.

Shay Given, a pundit for Match of the Day, and former Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given, praised the England international’s intelligence.

He strikes me as a player who doesn’t need to be an overly coach, Given said. He is aware of the position.

He occasionally slows down and allows the play to whizz by. Before the pass even arrives, he is aware of it. His surroundings are also ahead of his own brains.

He is one of the Premier League’s most gifted midfielders, according to me. Does he play for the World Cup team?

Vogue Williams says ‘that was a make’ in I’m A Celebrity admission

Vogue Williams, an Irish actress, has spoken out about her time on ITV’s “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here”! and acknowledged that she entered the camp “first mistake” before making the admission.

Vogue Williams has confessed she made a “mistake” after signing up to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of here!. The Irish podcast star was a late entrant to ITV’s I’m A Celeb camp last month.

Tom Read Wilson, a favorite of Celebs Go Dating, and TV host, joined her on the program. Vogue, however, spent 13 days in the Australian wilderness, becoming the third celebrity to be voted off.

The 40-year-old has branded the hit programme as “mentally tough” and “physically tough”. Speaking on the S*****d, Married, Annoyed podcast, she disclosed one thing she would have approached differently given another opportunity.

She stated, “First mistake, I didn’t speak to anyone before entering.” It’s insanely difficult, even at first glance, and it’s so much harder than it looks on TV.

When Husband Spenny said, “Oh, I read an article where they weren’t being harsh enough on the celebrities,” I thought, “What? ” But I’ve made some good friends and it’s a lot of fun.

Vogue continued, claiming that after their brief exchange on the program, she had been messaging comedian Ruby Wax. Nine years after Spencer Matthews’ forced exodus from the series, the Irish television personality, remained a part of it.

Spencer had acknowledged using steroid medication “‘to look good in the shower” in preparation for a charity boxing bout. Discussing the incident with the BBC afterwards, the former Made in Chelsea star called it “one of the biggest mistakes”.

He stated, “I was just completely devastated when the reality emerged that I was going home on the third day.” I didn’t feel particularly anxious or depressed for someone who didn’t experience anxiety or depression. It was a little gloomy.

On her My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, Vogue delved into her experience in the jungle, saying, “You get in the car and they take your phone away.

Because you’re constantly covered up, you never know what time it’s or where you’re going, making up your mind and making up your mind. When you leave camp, your head is covered.

It kind of makes it that much more difficult, they say. Before I entered, I should have spoken with more people.

The mother-of-four has experience competing on television. She won the 2015 Bear Grylls: Mission Survive first season, and she was scheduled to participate in The Jump in 2017 but withdrew due to an injury.

Since then, she has featured on programmes including Vogue Williams – Wild Girls and Strictly Come Dancing’s 2024 Christmas special. She is also set to feature on Gladiators Celebrity Special on Christmas Day from 3.35pm on BBC One.

England will investigate reports of Ashes drinking

England will look into rumor reports of players drinking excessively while taking a break from the Ashes series on the beach in Noosa.

Between the second and third Tests, the England squad spent four nights on the coast of Queensland.

Some players were drinking a significant amount of their time in Noosa, as well as two days prior to the second Test in Brisbane, according to reports from a number of outlets, including the BBC.

England were defeated to prevent Australia from capturing the Ashes, despite their better performance in the third Test in Adelaide.

In just 11 days of cricket, the home team have a 3-0 lead over them.

England’s cricket director, Rob Key, said to BBC Sport, “Headlines can sometimes be misleading when it claims it’s a stag do and stuff like that.

Despite England falling 2-0 behind after two Tests, the Noosa break was planned ahead of the Ashes tour.

Key, a former England and Kent batter, was in another region of Queensland while the entire squad was present in Noosa.

Players were instructed to expect photos and videos of the media, and they were.

That included shots of some squad members drinking at a bar on the town’s main high street outside.

You need to know what’s happening when you see a picture of five or six men having lunch with a few of them, Key said.

    • ago, one hour ago

Key added that he had previously investigated rumours that white-ball players Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell had been having sex the night before a limited-overs tour of New Zealand that brought the Ashes to a close.

A video of Brook and Bethell, which was reported to have occurred in Wellington the night before the third one-day international on November 1, was shared on social media.

That was probably deserving of informal warnings, Key said, but I didn’t think that was appropriate.

There was no formal action, they claimed. There is a process we put in place for things like that for what you do if they are out of line, even though we have had none of these issues with any of the players for four years.

“That served as a little wake-up call for what they’re going through.” I prefer that players have dinner with wine. I find nothing if it’s more than that.

Key defended some players’ right to take a break from the Ashes despite questions about their behavior in Noosa.

Following the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in the new year, Brook, Bethell, Ben Duckett, Jofra Archer, and others, could spend almost six months away from home.

This winter, Key predicted that Harrison Brook would only be at home for six days.

Because they won’t play cricket at home, we must set aside a time for these players to relax.

We also live in a time when playing cricket is impossible to ignore. Every Instagram feature pops up as I type on my phone. Although some players claim they shouldn’t look at it, I’m sure they do.

‘It’s giving me goosebumps’ – Europe stars recall Ryder Cup triumph

Even though Europe’s golfers were already guaranteed victory at Bethpage, Bob MacIntyre was told that his Ryder Cup singles match could not be won.

Luke Donald’s team were desperate to triumph by more than a single point in last September’s match to prevent the United States citing the injury withdrawal of Viktor Hovland as a potentially decisive factor.

Harris English was substituted for the home side after declaring he could not play because of a neck complaint.

Europe won their first game in the US by 15 points to 13 in what was one of the year’s biggest sports stories.

But had MacIntyre lost to Sam Burns, with the American one up with one to play in the last match out on the course, then Europe would only have squeezed home by the narrowest margin.

Due to Hovland’s injury, English was unable to turn in a full-point performance for the home team that day.

‘ Where are we winning two and a half points? ‘

The home player was one up when the visiting celebrations started. MacIntyre and Burns then left the 17th green. Although the match was now academic, two nearby European vice-captains did not agree with the outcome.

“Thomas]Bjorn] and one of the Molinari brothers came up to me and said we need your half point”, MacIntyre told BBC Sport. We really require your half-point, he said.

And I didn’t really understand when we were playing 18. I wanted to give Sam the putt,]because] it’s over. However, I believe the entire team didn’t want to be bothered by the Hovland incident and that half-point removed that.

On the final green, Burns three-putted from a distance of three feet, holding his Scottish opponent’s nerve for a par-hole-winning par. It yielded the half point that created a margin that meant the victory could not be questioned.

When the US won five and a half points from the first seven singles, MacIntyre admitted earlier in the round that he “thought the world was ending.” The most powerful Ryder Cup comeback was on hold at the time.

‘ You’re getting shouted at from all angles ‘

After the first two days, Europe gained seven points. Even with Ludvig Aberg defeating Patrick Cantlay, it still required Europe to win the eighth singles competition in order to remain victorious.

Shane Lowry famously holed a birdie putt to snatch a half against Russell Henley. Prior to this, the Irishman had warned against complacency.

No matter what the outcome of a Ryder Cup is, he told BBC Sport, “I said it to the boys on Saturday night, there’s always an hour where things can dramatically change.”

” From the outside looking in or if you’re sitting at home on your couch watching it, it doesn’t look like that, but it certainly feels like that when you’re out on the course. I was already aware that Americans would start firing.

Rory McIlroy and Lowry had collaborated on the previous two afternoons, preventing the Masters champion from receiving hateful treatment from some American fans. I felt like no matter what happened, he could lean on me, “Lowry said.

“I believe it was Harry Diamond’s caddie, me, him, Darren [Lowry’s caddie], and me, him, you know, me, him, you know,” he said. Harry and Darren are very close. We’re all very close and I think that’s what you needed in an environment like that. “

Donald, who created virtual reality headsets to aid in his players’ preparation, had anticipated such hostility. Nothing was left to chance.

While the Irish pair withstood the worst of the crowd excesses, other Europeans revelled in the New York atmosphere”. You’re being yelled at from all directions, Matthew Fitzpatrick told me.

How you’re going to play this hole poorly, you’re a loser, and all of these crazy things, and you’ll just have to laugh right away.

Sheffield’s Fitzpatrick was taunted for his brand of footwear and for wearing braces in his teeth until relatively recently”. I really enjoyed it, and I think it’s hilarious, “he said.

They definitely crossed the line with Rory and Shane and some of the other boys, according to what I’ve heard. So I think that’s obviously the disappointing aspect of it.

“And, like we say, we were aware of what was about to happen, and I believe that’s one of the reasons our team did so well,” the boys said.

On Saturday’s final hole of a fourball session against Hatton, who had been a late call up for the injured Hovland, Fitzpatrick scored a crucial point. They beat Burns and Cantlay on the final green.

This resulted in unprecedented advantage for Europe going into the closing session. On that green, I interviewed both Europeans, and it was obvious Fitzpatrick was desperate to celebrate with exuberant fans.

“You’re walking up 18 and you see everyone leaving”, he recalled more than two months later. “Is there a fire drill? ” are the chants coming. And you’re like, “Hold on a minute,” you say. There are no Americans in that stand.

And you come in at 18 and everyone is green, I mean, it’s making me shiver now that everyone in that position is European.

‘ It’ll take a lot for me to top that week ‘

Fitzpatrick, who had a poor Ryder Cup record before Bethpage, was chosen as the captain’s pick and scored two and a half goals in four games. Only McIlroy and Hatton, who are four and a half, contributed more.

Fleetwood revelled in partnering the Masters champion in the morning alternate shot foursomes and after lunch with Justin Rose, the man McIlroy beat in April’s Augusta play-off.

Rose claimed that “it was in our heads.” People have been complaining about how difficult it will be for ten years.

” And to go there as a team and to be so perfect, almost, for the first two days. Really, we didn’t even permit them to enter.

“What transpired on Sunday demonstrates how excellent our Friday and Saturday performances were.”

Rose and McIlroy were two of only 37 Europeans to have previously tasted an away victory. The remaining ten team members had to work together to make number 37 turn into number 47.

They received the message that Bethpage would take their place and time last September, but it was repeatedly ignored. “We’re made so aware of what we’re doing and what we’re playing for and how special that is”, Fleetwood said.

“And that’s why we’re so proud of it. I believe that being on that team makes you the most authentic.

This year’s FedEx Cup champion added: “One Ryder Cup point just seems like it means so much and is so exhausting to finish”.

Lowry struggled with his voice the morning after the game ended. Because he was aware of how his rasping vocal chords might be interpreted, he cheerfully declined to participate in broadcast interviews.

And, yes, he had celebrated the night before. He felt that his moment of ensuring that Europe could not be overtaken was greater than the one he had when he won the 2019 Open at Royal Portrush.

It was well worth the raucous singalong on the team bus because Hatton and MacIntyre’s subsequent efforts made sure this was a win without caveat.

Champagne was more sprayed than drunk, though there were celebratory libations later at the team hotel. Lowry, however, maintained his innocence. He preferred to enjoy one of the best weeks of golf in Europe.

“At one stage during the night, I just took myself off to the corner of the room and just sat there watching people celebrating for a half an hour, 40 minutes”, Lowry said.

“And attempting to absorb everything.” Because I believe that I must do a lot to top that particular evening or week.

” You know, Ryder Cups are the best weeks ever, but that week in general, I think would be tough to beat. “
