Olivia Attwood slams BBC host over ‘psychological assault’ in ‘horrible’ interview

Former Love Island star turned TV presenter Olivia Attwood has revealed a bad experience she suffered when she was interviewed by a BBC presenter about her show The Price of Perfection

Olivia Attwood has lifted the lid on a ‘horrible’ experience she suffered while being interviewed – after a BBC presenter made a cruel comment about her looks during the chat.

Love Island star turned TV presenter Olivia, 34, did not specifically name the presenter in question, but revealed details of the interview which appears to link to her chat with BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour host Emma Barnett. Olivia revealed the interview took place on a show that was meant to be ‘uplifting’ for women and revealed she appeared on the show alongside Jodie Comer, who she said greeted her warmly while the host of the programme didn’t get up to say goodbye to Olivia.

In January 2024, Olivia appeared on Woman’s Hour hosted by Emma to discuss the launch of her new TV documentary series Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection. During the interview, Emma was heard telling Olivia: “I think you look a bit older than 31”. Almost two years on, Olivia has spoken out about the interview, which she has branded as a “psychological assault”.

In the latest episode of her podcast, Olivia’s House, she was quizzed about the ‘top three w**kers’ she had met in her industry. She sighed and said: “People always ask this question and I understand it because I’d wanna know as well. I’ve been pretty lucky I’d have to say I’ve met people I’ve been slightly disappointed by.”

Olivia, who also opened up about her ‘really bad’ patch with husband Bradley Dack earlier this year, continued by recalling one particular interview, being careful not to name the host in question. She: “I saw something on Instagram the other day and it gave me a little PTSD trip down memory lane about something – I don’t think I’ve ever spoken about it before because I think I’ve been pretty lucky and also I’m really thick skinned as you guys know so it takes quite a lot for me to be ruffled – I’ve done GMB, I’ve been on with Piers Morgan.

“I’ve been on with people who are tough and given me… and I like an interviewer who is tough with me. But I had an experience for – I think it was the first series of the Price of Perfection I was promoting and I had an experience with a female host and it was really one of the worst experiences that I have probably had in an interview because I felt like she didn’t want me there. The question of… I don’t mind being put on the spot. I was meant to be promoting the documentary and everything I’ve learnt about the industry and she very much wanted to make it about me and what I looked like. She said, in her second question, she said, ‘So you, what have you had done’ and I was a bit like ‘woah’ and I’m open to it but that’s kind of not where… I wanted to talk about the cosmetic industry as a whole.

“And she was like, ‘can I say something to you” – this is live on air – she goes, ‘I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve but you look a lot older because of what you’ve done to yourself’. That was her second question. It felt very tonaly wrong for a show that is meant to be about a safe space for women and uplifting women and it was just a really horrible experience and it stayed with me for a while because, like I say, I’ve been on the spot, I’ve had tough interviews but when I left that studio I was like… I remember for 20 minutes I just sat in silence and I was like, ‘What actually happened’. My worst nightmares is for someone to be on one of my shows and to feel that way.”

However, Olivia revealed she was cheered up following the “15 minute psychological assault” by meeting actress Jodie Comer, who had also appeared on the same episode as Liv. “That was a bit of sweetness,” she said. “And this host had not got up to say goodbye to me but she got up to greet Jodie but it was probably in her ear shot so I thought, ‘Ok, well if I’m good enough for Jodie Comer I’m happy’.”

In the January 2024 interview on Woman’s Hour, Emma open by saying: “Can I start by asking, because you fronted this series and it’s a multi-part series, what treatments and surgeries you’ve had?“ Olivia answers the question, revealing she’s had two boobs and ‘several tweakments’.

Emma is then heard saying: “I’m going to say this as politely as I can, but I’m now known for mincing my words; I can see that you’ve had work in your face. Isn’t the point not to be able to see it?“ Elsewhere, Emma also asks: “Again, I don’t mean this disrespectfully, but because we live in this crazy world where there’s a look of how you look if you’ve had treatments and know this as well, the trend as well is this whole, ‘Don’t look like you’re really wearing makeup, don’t look like you’ve had things done. But we all know – because we’ve got a visual language between us when a face doesn’t look quite how it might have looked. You know, why don’t you stop?“ Olivia replied and insisted it “makes her feel good“ and she goes down the “correct paths“ when she has treatments.

Emma then says in the interview: “I think you look a bit older than 31,“ to which an astonished Olivia then says: “Thank you“ with an awkward laugh. Emma then says: “That’s going to sound… you know, you come across really mature. You don’t look old – in inverted commas, whatever that means – but you actually look… erm… because there’s now something associated with how people look, you definitely don’t look younger than 31 that’s what I’m saying, so what is that?“

Olivia responded: “I don’t think I’m trying to look younger than 31, I mean, I’m just…“ Emma interjected with: “Well you’re an incredibly beautiful woman…“ Olivia continued: “I’m just looking as a version of myself.“

PFL contract ends soon – Ngannou

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou says his contract with the PFL ends “soon” and “everything can happen” in 2026.

Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, the Cameroonian suggested potential fights against UFC legend Jon Jones and former boxing world champion Deontay Wilder, and did not rule out re-signing with the PFL.

Ngannou, 39, signed with the PFL in 2023 but has fought only once in the promotion, knocking out Renan Ferreira last year.

Ngannou did not specify when his PFL contract ends, but confirmed he would be a free agent in time for the UFC event at the White House in Washington DC on 4 July.

Asked about a fight with former champion Jones, Ngannou said: “That could happen. If I were you, I wouldn’t be that excited, that fight being so complicated.”

Ngannou left the UFC in January 2023, citing disagreements with UFC president Dana White.

While being signed to the PFL, Ngannou has had two boxing bouts, suffering defeats against British heavyweights Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Ngannou denies ‘pushing’ White in alleged row

If Ngannou leaves the PFL, the likelihood of him signing a deal with the UFC would largely depend on his relationship with White.

Ngannou said he left the promotion for “freedom” rather than money, citing frustrations at being bound by UFC contract rules.

Last month White described Ngannou as a “bad guy”, citing an alleged confrontation they had after one of Ngannou’s UFC fights.

White claimed Ngannou “pushed” him in his office after not being awarded a post-fight bonus, and later grabbed another UFC official by the shirt.

Asked about the allegations, Ngannou said: “Why am I not surprised?

“If Dana says this, then I’m out here to defend myself. Whatever he said, if he’s at peace with it, it’s OK.

Zelenskyy rallies key allies as Ukraine faces Russian and US pressure

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is holding urgent talks with leaders and officials from approximately 30 countries backing Kyiv’s efforts to secure more favourable terms in negotiations to end the war with Russia, deep into its fourth year.

Ukraine is facing mounting pressure from Russia on the battlefield in its eastern Donetsk region and on the diplomatic front from the United States.

The meeting on Thursday comes a day after US President Donald Trump held discussions with Zelenskyy, along with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

The group of Ukraine’s allies, known as the “coalition of the willing”, is scrambling to help steer peace negotiations as European governments warn their own security is at stake and to dilute Russian maximalist demands that the US has been leaning towards.

Trump has been pressing for a rapid settlement to the conflict he once boasted he would solve within 24 hours of retaking office, which has raged across a long front line in eastern Ukraine, with frequent attacks by Russia on the rest of the country. Ukraine has also carried out regular attacks in Russian territory.

Following Wednesday’s call, the US president said the group discussed proposals in “pretty strong terms”, adding that Zelenskyy “has to be realistic” about ceding Ukrainian territory to Russia.

Zelenskyy has said in recent days that Ukraine will not give up territory. The nation’s constitution also forbids it.

Merz described it as a “crucial moment” for Ukraine, saying “intensive work on the peace plan is to continue in the coming days”.

After meeting NATO chief Mark Rutte on Thursday, the German chancellor dismissed reports of tensions during the call with Trump, characterising it as “constructive” and noting discussions about “what territorial concessions Ukraine is prepared to make”.

Merz said territorial questions were matters “the Ukrainian president and the Ukrainian people must answer”.

The negotiations have exposed sharp divisions over how much land Ukraine should surrender. Russia has already seized control of all of Luhansk province and occupies large portions of Donetsk, the two regions make up the Donbas, as well as Zaporizhia and Kherson, forming a stretch along Ukraine’s Black Sea coast.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, a US-based monitoring group, Russia has gained just 0.77 percent of Ukraine’s territory so far in 2025, suggesting front lines have largely stabilised despite recent Russian momentum.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday that Russia has relayed “additional proposals” to the US regarding collective security guarantees, though he offered no details on what the Kremlin had suggested.

War rages in Ukraine’s east

The diplomatic push comes as Russian forces mount intense pressure on the strategic eastern city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk, where Moscow has amassed approximately 156,000 soldiers.

Ukraine reported an unusually large mechanised assault on Wednesday involving a 30-vehicle convoy attempting to breach the city’s defences, the largest such attack inside Pokrovsk to date, which Russian forces have been trying to seize for months.

Capturing the former logistics hub would represent Russia’s most significant territorial gain in nearly two years, adding urgency to Kyiv’s efforts to improve the terms of a peace proposal many view as tilted towards Moscow.

Russia has paid heavily for its Pokrovsk offensive, losing more than 1,000 armoured vehicles and over 500 tanks in the area since October 2023, according to Ukraine’s army.

Meanwhile, Ukraine demonstrated its strike capabilities overnight with one of the war’s largest drone attacks, forcing Moscow’s four airports to halt flights for seven hours.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said air defences intercepted 287 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions.

Trump’s peace drive has created tensions with the US Congress, which passed a sweeping defence bill this week that bolsters European security and restricts the president’s authority to reduce troop levels or withdraw equipment from the continent.

The bipartisan legislation sets aside $400m in security assistance for Ukraine and prevents US forces in Europe from dropping below 76,000 personnel.

‘I snitched on Bonnie Blue in Bali – cops were baffled by one disturbing detail’

Nottingham-born Bonnie Blue has discovered her fate after being arrested in Indonesia. And now the local who tipped the police off has spoken out

Bonnie Blue has finally discovered her fate after being arrested in Bali on suspicion of breaking strict ‘morality’ laws – and the furious local who tipped the cops off has spoken out.

The controversial adult star found herself in a jail cell last Thursday after members of the public told police that she had hired a truck to travel around the holiday island and film explicit content with “barely legal” students. As a Muslim-majority country, Indonesia takes a tough line on distributing, producing or publicly displaying adult content, and the star was potentially facing up to 15 years prison and a fine of about £270,000 if convicted of pornography offences.

Law enforcement raided her rental studio and found a slew of racy items, including “school Bonnie Blue” outfits, Viagra, condoms, cameras, flash drives and lubricant. Bonnie was arrested alongside 17 male tourists, but 14 of the men were released without charge while the adult star and three other men remained under investigation. The foursome were let out of jail but faced two days of questioning by immigration and had their passports seized.

And now the local who tipped police off has spoken out. They anonymously told Australian news outlet News.au that at first, the Balinese police apparently struggled to understand the nature of what Bonnie was allegedly doing.

The source claimed: “The cops, at first, they couldn’t even understand what [was happening]. We had to explain it to them, that there are about 20 guys [and Blue]. They just couldn’t comprehend it.”

The resident said they did it “not out of judgement” for her line of work, but because it’s “not where we want to be reputation-wise”. They claimed: “The business community doesn’t want it, the expat community doesn’t want it, and the local community can’t even comprehend it,” adding: “We don’t want Bonnie Blue’s Gang Bang from Bali being posted and shared around the world.”

But now major update has emerged as police have provided fresh details about their investigation. Yesterday, it was confirmed that officials found no evidence of pornographic content, meaning Bonnie and three other men have escaped a conviction.

Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, Acting Head of the Public Relations Sub-Division of the Badung Police, said: “When they were raided, they were making collab content about a game where the winner would sleep with Bonnie Blue. No pornographic activities or acts have been found in the collaborative content.”

But that doesn’t mean she’s come away from the whole saga scot-free. Today, at a press conference outside the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office on Thursday, Immigration chief Heru Winarko confirmed that the adult star had breached her travel visa privileges, and would therefore be deported, Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports.

He explained: “They have misused the visa they have to make content in Bali. They will be black-listed from entering Indonesia for at least 10 years (that) could be extended. Once police has finished with the investigation, after that we will deport them and put them (on) the blacklist.”

At the same conference, Badung Police said that Bonnie and the three other men are now facing trial over the purchase of her blue “Bang bus” over its alleged lack of vehicle registration, local publication detikBali reports.

“One of the two British men in Blue’s entourage are also accused of not having an international driving licence while driving the open-back vehicle, seen in a slew of videos online,” the publication claimed. “While in Bali, BB (Bonnie Blue) should have been travelling, but instead she was creating content,” Police Chief Arif Batubara said.
