Tinubu Hosts Denmark’s Queen, Seeks Stronger Ties On Livestock, Education

With the country’s growing population, the dairy and livestock industry has a huge potential for job creation, rural development, and food security, according to President Bola Tinubu’s emphasis on the need to grow the nation’s dairy and livestock industry.

Queen Mary of Denmark, the president’s patron saintess, was in Nigeria as patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and he received her on Tuesday at the State House in Abuja. She made her first trip to Nigeria.

On June 24, 2025, President Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu presented Denmark’s Queen Mary Elizabeth in Abuja.

President Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s willingness to cooperate more with Denmark in terms of knowledge transfer, veterinary health, and sustainable agricultural practices, according to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.

One of Nigeria’s pressing security and development issues was identified as one of the conflicts between farmers and herders. He continued to say that he was confident that investment, education, and modernization would lead to economic opportunities.

We can turn that friction into structured economic opportunities and provide education options for farmers and herders, she said. He claimed that we can stabilize communities, improve our food systems, and end poverty for millions.

One of the pillars of Nigeria’s foreign policy, which is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda, was reiterated by President Tinubu.

He emphasized the importance of making wise investments in agriculture, education, healthcare, and employment in order to manage Nigeria’s projected 400 million-person population by 2050.

He urged foreign investment to boost local production and job creation while highlighting ongoing macroeconomic reforms.

President Tinubu applauded the contributions of businesses like A. P. Moller–Maersk and Grundfos to Nigeria’s infrastructure and food systems and acknowledged Danish investments in agriculture and maritime operations.

He applauded Denmark’s assistance to internally displaced people living in conflict-affected regions. He expressed hope that Denmark’s participation in the UN Security Council will increase as it assumes the presidency of the European Union in 2025-2026.

The partnership between Her Majesty and Nigeria’s First Lady, particularly in terms of initiatives like school feeding programs and the reduction of out-of-school children, was welcomed by the President on social front.

The First Lady emphasized the need for modernizing traditional Islamic schools in order for their offerings to be recognized as part of wider educational reforms.

Queen Mary expressed condolence for the reception and thanked President Tinubu and the First Lady for the occasion.

She stated that her intention is to strengthen ties with Nigeria and to look into potential investments in women’s trade and business development, child health, cultural and educational exchanges, and other fields.

She applauded the First Lady for her Renewed Hope Initiative Program support for women and families. She added that she would make a business trip to Lagos’ A. P. Moller–Maersk terminal.

This week, Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Following a successful loan spell at Bournemouth last summer, the 30-year-old added an additional year to his contract to earn a £5 million release clause.

The former Spain international will soon compete for the starting spot with compatriot David Raya at Arsenal.

After rejecting Neto’s permanent signing from Bournemouth last season on loan at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal chose to remain with the club.

Since joining Chelsea in 2018 for $ 72 million from the illustrious Athletic Bilbao, Kepa has remained the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

He represented Chelsea 163 times, earning four prestigious titles during a sour seven-year absence from Stamford Bridge.

Love Island fans ‘work out’ who Megan will pick amid game playing accusations

In the Love Island villa, Megan Forte Clarke and Tommy Bradley are currently paired up, but she also has a potential love triangle with her.

Fans are convinced that they know how things will play out in the love triangle involving Megan Forte Clarke, Tommy Bradley and Conor Phillips that’s developing on Love Island. Some viewers think they spotted a game plan underway.

Megan has been coupled-up with Tommy since the latest series of the ITV2 show launched two weeks ago. They are one of two original couples still together, though recent episodes have seen Megan express interest in someone else.

She’s been seen growing close to Conor Phillips, who is coupled-up with fellow bombshell Emily Moran at the moment. Megan recently teased to co-stars Shakira Khan and Yasmin Pettet that she’s now “in a bit of a pickle”.

In the episode from last night, Megan and Conor were seen discussing possible romance. In a scene, she said to him, “I think one thing that always attracted me to you was the fact that you were very vocal about what you wanted.”

Conor suggested to Emily that they “step back” after the final recoupling. And when asked who he would pick for the moment if there was a moment of recoupment, he said to Megan in the episode from last night.

In tonight’s episode, Shakira told Harry Cooksley that Megan has more “sexual chemistry” with Conor after being confided in by her co-star recently. Tommy later found out about the conversation and then confronted Megan.

Tommy responded, “Apparently you were saying you had much more sexual chemistry with Conor and that the idea of rekindling with him made you feel excited”? What, Megan asked? No”! She then claimed that because they haven’t been able to “explore anything,” Conor and her partner are experiencing “more sexual tension.”

She then inquired about Harry’s actions. Later, Megan claimed to have doubted her and that she was “p***ed off” that he had believed his friend. She claimed that Harry had “blown it out of proportion” the day after she told some of the other islanders that she was “raging” over it.

Later, Conor and Megan were spotted chatting on the terrace. When asked who she would pick for a recoupling there, Megan responded, “Tommy, but I’m f***ing raging with him, so it’s you [today].” She then continues, “I want to get to know you.”

Before giving a kiss, Megan teased that she wants to continue exploring her connection with Conor. She stated, “I want to get to know you, definitely, like and I think it would be unfortunate if we didn’t go for it.” There is no point in “half-joking” about it. Conor made the joke that “you might as well try to get to know someone, like,” Megan said: “Yeah”.

During the episode, fans on X shared their opinions on the situation in X-related posts. Some viewers are unsure whether Megan will end up with Conor, and others are wondering if she could use the circumstance as an excuse to get closer to him.

One person said, “Megan doesn’t want to be with Tommy anymore, but she doesn’t want to be the bad guy.” Another person said, “Irish Megan has been looking for any excuses to be pissed off at Tommy, and here it is.”

The third person claimed that Meghan is attempting to get Tommy to act like a bad person so she can leave Conor. Instead of trying to manipulate the situation, it would be better if she was honest. I worry that Megan will use the Harry situation as an excuse to leave Tommy, according to another user.

During the episode, a viewer wrote, “Megan trying to find any excuse to break up with Conor.” I’m aware of your game, “babes”. Someone wrote, “Megan, just say you don’t fancy Tommy and get on with Conor.” Another viewer remarked, “Ugh, can Megan just couple up with Connor already”

However, other people questioned Tommy’s suggestion that it was okay for Megan to get to know other people in the villa during the episode. One person wrote, “Tommy needs to stop making it seem like he doesn’t care about Megan getting to know the other boys because he’s FUMING af.” Another remarked, “Tommy is saying he has no problem with Megan getting to know people when he is completely at fault… like please be fr.” Someone else said, “Tommy needs to realize Megan’s single status.”

Tomorrow night, Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9 p.m.

Mohbad: Court Decides Application Challenging Naira Marley’s Release July 2

The father of late singer Mohbad, Mr. Joseph Aloba, requested permission to halt the DPP’s legal advice and court proceedings that had freed Naira Marley and Sam Larry on allegations that they were involved in Mohbad’s death. The Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has set the date for July 2, 2025.

Justice Taiwo Olatokun set the hearing date after hearing arguments from the respondents’ attorneys, Mr. Aloba, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu, and Joke Amachree, who represented the applicants, for and against the application.

The Aloba family is suing the applicant, Mr. Joseph Aloba, while the respondents are listed as the Attorney General of Lagos State and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Wahab Shittu, the senior advocate, cited a lack of fair hearing as one of the justifications for the application.

Mr. Aloba claimed in his application that the DPP’s legal advice, which had just finished its investigation into the late Mohbad’s cause of death, pre-empted the coroner’s inquest, which is still pending.

He noted that the DPP’s legal counsel allowed the coroner to release key suspects who were involved in the coroner’s investigation.

Ayinde Ibrahim, a legal assistant in the DPP’s office, claimed in their counter affidavit that the suspects who were released by the Legal Advice were not acquitted but were only released after being charged with a crime against Mohbad’s father.

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, is shown in a file photo.

The deponent claimed that one Mr. Akinde Oluwaseun, a Chlef State Counselor in the Directorate of Public Prosecution, gave him information about the circumstances surrounding the case.

Ibrahim states in the document that “the Respondents accept paragraphs 8 of the Affidavit-in-support of the Motion only in the circumstances where the Police Investigators have conducted an investigation into the death of the Deceased and where the Office of the 2nd Respondent (DPP) has received a duplicate case file for review and issuance of a Legal Advice.”

The suspects who were released by the second respondent’s Legal Advice were not acquitted but were only discharged, contrary to the deposition in Paragraph 4 and generally in the Applicant’s affidavits.

The Respondents dispute the deposition in the seventh paragraph of the Applicant’s supporting affidavit because the Presiding Coroner has not yet rendered a decision involving the suspects who have been released.

Also available are Bezos and Sanchez’s Whirlwind Romance in The Billionaire and The TV Anchor.

The respondents sought to dismiss Mr. Mohbad’s application in the name of justice, tracked the steps involved in getting the DPP’s legal advice, particularly the criminal case file, and came to the conclusion that there was no information that directly or indirectly linked Naira Marley, Sam Larry Prima Boy, and Opere Babatunde, who had no access to it, which served as the catalyst for the DPP’s decision to release them.

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, is shown in a file photo.

He claimed that Oluwaseun Akinde Esq., in contrast to the deposition in Paragraph 8 of the Applicant’s affidavit, was lying. According to his experience as a lawyer, the Police is required to provide the Respondents with the duplicate case file in all cases where a prima facie case of an offense, such as the one under reference, is disclosed, is disclosed.

The Respondent adds that in addition to the above, the Respondent asserts that there was no directive that the Presiding Coroner issued at the time of the Deceased’s death.
the respondents to inform it of the second respondent’s evaluation of the duplicate case file, which is the conclusion that the legal advice contained.
sought to have the applicant’s objection rejected.

The Honourable Presiding Coroner was not informed of the second respondent’s request to halt its statutory review of the casefile or the first respondent’s order to do so.
whenever the Legal Advice was ready to be released.

The respondents further assert that the Police investigators were the ones who presented the suspects to His Honour Mrs. A. O. Olatunbosun in remand proceedings while awaiting the Directorate of Public Prosecution’s and DPP’s advice.

The Police Investigators did not receive any instructions from His Honour, Mrs. A. O. Olatunbosun, or the First Respondent, nor did they have any statutory duty to inform the Presiding Coroner that the Duplicate casefile had been forwarded to the Office of the Respondents.

The Respondents and the Police are independent from the fact that they are investigating the death of the deceased.
Deputy Coroner in charge.

The Respondents are only able to answer the Presiding Magistrate, who was the recipient of the legal advice when it was sent.

According to a police case file, the Presiding Coroner’s intervention in the death of the Late Lloyola Oladimeji Aloba is different from the Respondents’ statutory duty to follow.

While the Presiding Coroner’s task is to determine who is the deceased, when the deceased died, where the deceased died, and how the deceased died, the respondents’ duties, particularly those of the second deceased, are as follows.
to check whether any of the suspects’ allegations of prima facie criminal inferences were made against them in the duplicate case file that was sent to it.

The Respondents vehemently rejects the motion’s paragraphs 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, and assert that the arguments therein are true.
The applicant’s imagination alone, putting him in the position of having the strongest evidence against the allegations, is what they are putting him to.

Further, “The Respondents assert that neither the Applicant nor the Presiding Coroner have access to the criminal case file to find and understand.”
the legal justification for the decision that the Respondents made in the legal advice.

“The Applicant did not personally conduct any searches or engaged private investigators to look into and discover incriminating evidence that supports the application.”
any of the people who received legal advice from the second respondent for the death of his son.

There was no fact that was made known that Mr. Abdulazeez Fashola a.k.a. a Naira Marley, Mr.
Directly or indirectly related to and for the decedent’s passing are Samson Balogun Eletu a.k.a. Sam Larry, Owoduni Ibrahim a.k.a. Prima Boy and Opere Babatunde.

The Respondent and the witnesses who gave testimony at the Inquest hearing into the deceased’s death did not provide any fresh, credible, and verifiable information in contrast to what was stated in the casefile that the Police investigators had sent to the second respondent and directly or indirectly connected Mr.
To the death, Owoduni Ibrahim a.k.a. a Prima Boy and Opere Babatunde, Abdulazeez Fashola a.k.a. a Naira Marley, Mr. Samson Balogun Eletu a.k.a. a Sam Larry, Mr.
