Love Island only just ended on Monday night, with Toni and Cach coming out on top as winners after a tough few weeks. Shakira and Harry were runners-up and Yas and Jamie came in third place, much to the delight of fans at home who insisted they ‘voted for the right people’.

Shakira and Harry had a tumultuous time in the villa, with the two gravitating towards each other before his head was turned by Helena. However, they soon found their way back to each other and quickly became a fan-favourite couple despite his ‘bad boy’ antics that resulted in many rows.

While he insisted he would gladly move to Burnley to be with the gorgeous star, some fear their romance might already be on the rocks after she shared a snap of Harry as a cockroach. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

On her Instagram Stories, she re-posted a meme made by Love Island, which featured two cartoon cockroaches with Harrison ad Harry’s heads superimposed onto it, with a first prize medal on Harrison and a second place medal on Harry.

The edit comes after Shakira cried about them in an emotional moment in the villa. The moment was shared in the same cockroach post and saw her in tears as she yelled out: “That absolute little ant. Like, he stood up there a f***ing cockroach and cockroach number two’s stood next to him”, referring to Harry.

Shakira shared the picture of the cockroaches and joked: “Second place suits you”. In the original post, which was shared two weeks ago, fans rushed to side with Shakira.

“We are with you Shakira”, one person wrote, and another posted: “Toni and Shakira are the best couple in there”. One fan commented: “I wish she knew how loved she is on the outside!!! “!

During the live final, host Maya Jama wasted no time in telling runners-up Shakira and Harry what she really thought of their romance.

The presenter gave her true thoughts on the pair, having called out Harry for his behaviour towards Helena and others in a previous episode.

Harry shared his shock though, as Maya admitted this time it felt different between them. Having seen clips of them together for the final week and the final day, she said watching them she could see it was genuine.

She shared: “Well you both look very happy with each other. It’s nice to see you two together in the final.

” You both look really… I dunno. The last couple of days I’ve been watching you like, this is cute. This is cute. “

Banned fan cheers on non-league team from tree

To play this video you need to enable JavaScript in your browser.

A lifelong fan of a non-league football club has resorted to cheering on his team from the branches of a nearby tree after being served with what he describes as an “unwarranted” lifetime stadium ban by the club.

Richard Lambert, 58, who has followed ninth tier Epsom & Ewell FC for almost 44 years, has been refused entry to the ground since January following a long-running series of disputes with the committee that runs the club.

He claims the suspension was ultimately issued after he upset the committee by changing the name of his personal X account to appear as though it was the official club account.

Mr Lambert has been highly critical of the club, which plays in the Combined Counties Premier Division South, from his own social media feed and website with some of that criticism personal in nature against named committee members.

Since April, BBC London has asked Epsom & Ewell on three separate occasions why Mr Lambert has been banned for life.

The club has declined to provide details, saying only: “We have had a number of issues with this supporter over the years. We do not want to discuss this any further. The matter has been dealt with.”

BBC London has seen the letter the club sent to Mr Lambert notifying him of his ban. It gives the sole reason for the punishment as being his breaking of a previous agreement not to use his social media account in such a way.

The letter also refers to it as an “indefinite” ban.

After BBC London’s most recent approach to the club this week, they again declined to give details but said: “The ban is now for life and that will never change.”

‘All I want to do is see my team play’

It was as a 15-year-old in 1981 that Mr Lambert watched his first Epsom & Ewell game.

He describes himself as “being bitten by the football bug” and has barely missed a match since.

Mr Lambert has acted as club historian for 20 years and writes match reports for nearly every game, something he is still doing from his new position in the trees.

“I only miss one or two games a season,” he said. “All I want to do is see my team play, but I also want to see the culture at our club change towards valuing its supporters.”

Lifetime stadium bans in football are rare and are usually only handed out for the most serious offences or where a supporter has broken the law, which is not the case here.

However, any football club is within its rights to ban anyone from their premises for any length of time and does not necessarily have to give a reason.

‘The club are missing a valuable supporter’

The Football Supporters’ Association – which works on behalf of fans – says it has been attempting to mediate but that the club has ignored its approaches.

“We quite often come in to act as the middleman to try and broker solutions between clubs and supporters where relationships have broken down,” Garreth Cummins from the FSA told BBC London.

“Unfortunately, in this case, Epsom & Ewell have not engaged at all with that process, despite our repeated attempts and Richard’s repeated attempts.

“We will always do what we can to help get the football supporter back in the ground, because, particularly at non-league level fans are the lifeblood of the game, and in a situation like this we don’t see that either side is winning.

“Richard is left on the outside looking in, and the club are missing a valuable and long-serving supporter.”

Epsom & Ewell is a members’ club which is run by committee. Mel Tough has served as chairman and Barry Gartell as vice chairman since both being elected to their roles in August 2020.

Immediately after his ban, Mr Lambert watched matches from just outside the perimeter fence of the stadium. But in March, he says the club hired a security guard to prevent him standing there so he took to climbing a nearby tree instead.

He viewed the final games of last season from a height of around 30ft overlooking King George’s Field in Surbiton, which Epsom were ground sharing with Corinthian Casuals.

This summer, Epsom returned to one of their former homes – Leg O’Mutton Field in Cobham, which they share with Cobham FC.

‘I’ll climb this tree for life’

“If the ban stays in place for life, then I’ll be climbing this tree for the rest of my life,” Mr Lambert added. “Or at least for as long as I’m physically able to.

“Every football fan understands that you never desert your team. Whatever it takes to see Epsom play, I’ll continue to do it.”

The Salts averaged home crowds of around 90 for league matches last season.

Founded in 1918 as Epsom Juniors, their greatest achievement was finishing as runners-up to Hoddesdon Town at Wembley in the first ever FA Vase final in 1975.

More recently they won last season’s Southern Combination Challenge Cup.

They beat Abbey Rangers 1-0 in the final which took place in April at their then home ground of King George’s Field.

Four players, including the youngest, Lamine Yamal, who is just 18 years old, and the oldest, 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski, who represent Barcelona, who both won a league and cup double.

The Brazilian is one of three nominees for Real Madrid, who boycotted the ceremony last year and claimed to be upset that Rodri was chosen over Vinicius.

Scotland lose ‘exciting talent’ Scott to broken hand

SNS

A broken hand has denied “exciting talent” Lucia Scott what Scotland head coach Bryan Easson predicted would be “a huge” Women’s Rugby World Cup for the 21-year-old.

The Loughborough Lightning full-back is the most notable absentee from the final 32-strong squad named by Easson for the competition that kicks-off in England later this month.

The Scotland boss was “so disappointed” for Scott, revealing that she has undergone surgery for an injury picked up in Saturday’s defeat by Ireland.

But Lana Skeldon has been selected despite the Bristol hooker, who is the most-capped member of the squad on 81, leaving the field on a stretcher in the same game on Saturday.

“To get Lana Skeldon cleared after that injury is a huge relief as she is an exceptional player and is the most experienced player we’ve got here,” Easson said.

“When we saw her go down against Ireland, it was heart in the mouth stuff.”

Bristol Bears’ Elliann and Rhea Clarke have become the first set of Scottish sisters to be selected for the same Women’s Rugby World Cup.

Scrum-half Rhea has just one cap but joins prop Elliann, who has played for her country 22 times, in the party for the finals.

Edinburgh Rugby/University of Edinburgh winger Hannah Walker is the only uncapped player selected.

Trailfinders second row Emma Wassell has made her way back to international rugby after recovering from a benign tumour in her chest in September.

Captain Rachel Malcolm leads a selection comprising 18 forwards and 14 backs for a Pool B campaign against Wales, Fiji and Canada.

The flanker is one of 21 players to have appeared at the previous Rugby World Cup, played in 2022.

Easson is leaving his job at the end of the tournament and added: “To go to a rugby World Cup is the pinnacle for any player but also anyone in our management team as well, so real excitement to go to that, but the fact that it is the last dance, it does put that little bit of an edge on it.

BBC announce emotional tribute to The Vivienne – seven months after death

The BBC have announced that they are set to honour late Drag Race legend The Vivienne just months after the telly star tragically died aged 32

The Vivienne will be honoured in a special BBC programme, seven months after they died. The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK legend tragically died aged 32 in January this year, following a cardiac arrest due to ketamine use.

Now, seven months after the death of the Colwyn Bay-born star, the BBC have announced a special show, Dear Viv, to pay tribute. The Vivenne became the first star to win the UK edition of the programme in 2019, instantly becoming a fan favourite across the globe.

The project, which has the full backing of The Viv’s friends and family, will celebrate their journey from North Wales and Liverpool to the international stage. The film will delve into archive interviews, family photographs, family videos and unseen behind-the-scenes clips taken from the Drag Race archive.

Elsewhere, it will also follow The Vivenne, whose real name was James Lee Williams, as a young child and their rise to becoming one of the UK’s most famous drag queens, including their experience on Dancing On Ice and becoming the first-ever winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and their journey to West End fame as the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz.

James’ parents and sister also share a touching tribute, alongside friends including Baga Chipz, Danny Beard, Tia Kofi, Cheryl Hole, and Trinity Truck. In the project, The Vivenne was described as a “world-class entertainer” and “an inspiration, mentor, and a teacher.”

But it will also touch on The Vivienne’s struggles with ketamine addiction. Chanel Williams, James’ sister, has since become a campaigner and raises awareness around the dangers of the drug, which is a Class B substance in the UK.

Speaking about the production, Nasfim Haque, Head of Content for BBC Three, said: “Dear Viv is a fitting tribute to The Vivienne, who truly was a trailblazer in the world of drag. She showcased her artistry and talent brilliantly and paved the way for many to follow in her footsteps.”

Meanwhile, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, co-founders of production firm World of Wonder, which also produces Drag Race said: “We wanted to celebrate The Vivienne and not just mourn her. Although she left us far too soon, her life was defined by her breathtaking talent, scene-stealing charisma, and infinite kindness.

“We hope her vision and her voice shine through in Dear Viv and that it inspires everyone who watches it. Although producing it was bittersweet, we are so grateful to friends and family for trusting us to tell The Vivienne’s story. Above all, we hope Viv loves the film as much as we loved her.”

On January 6, officers from Cheshire Police said officers had been called to an address in Chorlton-by-Backford, near Chester, on the previous day following reports of a sudden death. A coroner ruled that on the balance of probabilities, it is likely that The Vivienne died on the Friday and was not found and pronounced until the Sunday.
