Field of Gold impressive in Irish 2,000 Guineas win

Inpho

Field of Gold won the Irish 2, 000 Guineas by a long shot, finishing three and a half lengths clear of Cosmic Year at the Curragh.

As Field of Gold matched the feat of his sire Kingman, who won the race in 2014, by placing second behind jockey Kieran Shoemark at the 2, 000 Guineas in Newmarket this month.

With a few furlongs to spare, the horse, trained by John and Thady Gosden, jumped out of the pack and sprinted past the rest of the field’s nine-strong field.

Cosmic Year (4-1) came home three-quarters of a length ahead of Hotazhell (10-1) in third.

According to Keane, “It was as good of a feel as I’ve had off a horse in a long time.”

He is very straightforward and powerful, he said.

He seems to be a horse going the right way, he said as I approached for today.

Before the race, Keane claimed to have spoken with Shoemark.

Kieran is a true gentleman.

Sunderland Promoted To Premier League After Late Winner Against Sheffield United

Tommy Watson’s stoppage-time winner against Sheffield United on Saturday secured a dramatic 2-1 win in the Championship play-off final, which Underland won after eight years of being unemployed.

Regis Le Bris’ side conceded a first-half goal to Tyrese Campbell at Wembley, but Eliezer Mayenda equalized in the closing stages before Watson delivered the priceless winner.

Sunderland’s recovery from a slow start led to an astonishing turnaround in the single richest game of football, which generated an estimated £200 million ($270 million) in increased revenue.

With the return of hostilities with vengeful rivals Newcastle next season, Watson’s champagne moment made things happen for Sunderland fans.

“This victory shows how resilient and disciplined we were this season,” the team said. Le Bris remarked, “We tried various options, and finally we came up with the solution.

Sunderland’s first-ever Premier League appearance since 2017 comes after a gloomy four-season break in the third tier.

The Black Cats advanced to the top of the standings in the most impressive way despite going through five straight defeats.

In the semi-final second leg against Coventry, Dan Ballard scored the last-gasp extra-time header just seconds after a penalty shootout.

With only 14 minutes left at Wembley before the stunning defeat, they looked down and out once more.

Le Bris, a 49-year-old Frenchman who left Ligue 1 with Lorient last year after enduring relegation, was promoted to the Stadium of Light, which was an impressive achievement.

United have lost four Championship final defeats in ten failed attempts to advance to the play-offs, including one win at Wembley in 100 years.

Farewell gift

In the second minute, Sunderland keeper Anthony Patterson deflected Kieffer Moore’s header past the post.

Sunderland captain Luke O’Nien was forced to leave with a dislocated shoulder that made him writhed in pain while attempting to stop Moore’s header.

Jim Montgomery’s incredible save helped Sunderland shock Leeds in the 1973 FA Cup final, which came to mind when Patterson’s stop was played.

However, United did not disappoint in the 25th minute when they won.

With a skillfully weighted pass to Campbell, who guided a composed finish over Patterson from 12 yards, Ben Hamer demonstrated why he won the title of Championship Player of the Year.

Nine minutes later, Harrison Burrows thought he had doubled United’s lead, but after a VAR check, his strike was flagged as offside against Vini Souza.

After the break, United’s substitute Andre Brooks drilled through on goal, but Patterson made a superb save.

With only their second shot on target in the 76th minute, Mayenda scored to bring Sunderland level.

Mayenda was hit with a fierce finish into the roof of the net by Patrick Roberts’ pin-point pass just inside the area.

O’Nien waved his only healthy arm in jubilation as he sprinted off the bench, shoulder in hand, and embraced Mayenda.

That joy only served as a prelude to the exuberant scenes that Watson sparked just five minutes into stoppage-time.

After squandering a loose pass from Moore, Watson headed toward the United States and curled a low shot past Michael Cooper’s fatally slow dive.

Watson’s thrilling winner, which was the perfect farewell gift, ensures Sunderland joins the 19-year-old among English football’s elite. Brighton will join Watson in the close-season.

“It’s unbelievable. When I left the bench, the story was written. Watson said, “I couldn’t have imagined it any better.”

“We’ll see each other again in a big way next year” promises the promise!

Bashir takes six to seal England win over Zimbabwe

Trent Bridge, the only test, is the third day of four.

England 565-6 dec (Pope 171, Duckett 140, Crawley 124, Muzarabani 3-143)

Zimbabwe 265 (Bennett 139, Bashir 3-62) &amp, 255 (Williams 88, Bashir 6-81)

England defeated them by 45 runs in an innings.

In the final three days of the one-off Test, Shoaib Bashir’s six-wicket haul overcame Zimbabwe’s feisty opposition and gave England a comfortable victory.

In their second innings of playing for 255, off-spinner Bashir claimed 6-81, one of his best Test results.

The home team’s performance was not particularly impressive as a tune-up for India’s challenge later this summer, particularly their third-day seam bowling.

England, on a lifeless surface, were frequently loose and lacking in penetration, allowing Sean Williams to score 88 from 82 balls.

He and fellow left-hander Ben Curran, who survived two catch attempts and overturned being given lbw in his 37, added 122 for the third wicket.

Both sides of lunch were removed by Bashir. Sikandar Raza scored 60, but England drew the other end.

Wesley Madhevere, Ben Stokes’ third wicket of the match, was unquestionably the highlight when Harry Brook made a spectacular catch at the second slip on his way back from hamstring surgery.

England will face bigger challenges in the future.

In a major test series against India and Australia, England had its first Test in five months.

There were still advantages for England, despite the fact that this stumbling like a pre-season friendly did.

Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope both needed centuries for England’s 565-5 first innings declaration. In the match, Bashir took a career-best nine wickets, and crucially, Stokes appeared fit enough to play an all-rounder role.

The pace bowlers occasionally struggled, but in pleasant circumstances. Sam Cook’s debut didn’t mean that England should have ignored Gus Atkinson’s unthreatening and strong domestic form for so long. Josh Tongue had a few moments of lively behavior during his first practice of almost two years.

With Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse returning, England can consider their pace options for India. Will it be more important to recall Jacob Bethell and decide who.

Pacers have a bad chance, but Bashir wins.

With a number of seamers absent, those on display made little progress in advancing their claims in a year where pace bowling will be so important for England’s hopes.

Cook, who has worked for Essex well, had the best chance. After one Test, it would be harsh to criticize someone, and it might be that he chose a bad time for a bad game. His average speed of 77.9 mph was unmatched by his accuracy, making it the slowest England seamer to record since 2006.

Tongue showed glimpses of why England gave him such high marks while Atkinson has credit in the bank with 52 wickets in 2024 and will undoubtedly improve. He is England’s second-fastest bowler behind Mark Wood in his three Test starts.

At least Stokes was able to survive three quick-fire innings of play, including Saturday’s first over bowling. When he returned in the afternoon, he discovered Madhevere’s extra bounce, and Brook clung to his one-hander while it was flying.

Before this Test, Bashir was being loaned from Somerset to Glamorgan because he was unprepared. He increased his bowling to a fuller length and straighter line in favor of his five-wicket haul last year against West Indies at this ground.

Although Curran was fortunate and gave in, Tafadwa Tsiga’s flight, which charged and was bowled, was enjoyable.

Zimbabwe makes a proud return.

With 11 matches in hand this year, Zimbabwe are making an effort to regain their reputation in test cricket. Despite their advancement, this would have been their biggest upset ever.

In their first Test match against England in 22 years, they faced a blatant defeat on the opening day before taking on England. The occasion was cheered up by their supporters, who continued to dance and sing throughout.

Brian Bennett’s 97-ball hundred, which was the fastest by a Zimbabwean in Test cricket, broke Williams’ record on Friday. Williams had a plan to recoup it on Saturday.

The left-hander tucked into a flat England pace attack by pulling his leg and slapping through the opponent. Bashir was swept over and reversed by him. The captain’s steady Curran was thrown down in his follow-through, survived a flying one-hander, and then overturned, being lbw to Bashir.

Williams’ review was not so fortunate. Bashir was attempting to paddle him, but he was given a ball that would have shaved the bails. Curran poked to cover immediately after lunch.

What they said about “Bashir comes of age”

Ben Stokes, England’s captain, said: “It was good to start off the summer winning.” We initially struggled to get back into the game, but we continued to excel from the final game of yesterday.

“I felt really, really good today; I felt in a good rhythm.” I wanted to work on something because it seemed to be moving along smoothly.

Another positive week for me to pass, because it gives me more self-assurance than what I had before.

Former England international Phil Tufnell: “Shoaib Bashir has just started to bowl in Tests.”

Ben Stokes, who makes the most of him, is responsible for a lot of that. Why he can’t compete against the county batsman is beyond me. He seems to adore the stage.

He could work on that consistency a little more. This summer, he has bigger fish to fry. He just needs to be able to develop and bowl a spell.

Bashir’s new attack strategy and analysis

By Soham Sarkhel, a CricViz analyst,

His release points are an interesting change in Shoaib Bashir’s action.

In this Test, he has moved about 5 cm closer to the stumps than he has in other home Tests when he bowls over the wicket. When he bowls almost 8 cm closer to the stumps, this change is even more noticeable.

Kim Kardashian was forced to relive the horrific moment she was held at gunpoint while a group of strangers robbed her while in Paris. The 44 year old mum of four endured the terrifying ordeal back in 2016 and now French authorities have been able to convict the suspects as guilty verdicts were handed out to all eight people involved.

The Kardashians star said in a statement, “The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, and it has had a lasting impact on both me and my family.”

She continued, “I believe in the power of growth and accountability, and pray for healing for all,” adding, “But I’ll never forget what happened.” I continue to fight for justice and for a fair legal system.

Kim’s attorneys, including Michael Rhodes, Léonor Hennerick, and Jonathan Mattou, also released their own statements.

They added that Kim “appreciates the Court’s decision and once more thanks the French authorities for treating her with great respect throughout the process.”

From that terrible night in 2016 to her courageously standing in a historic Paris courtroom to confront these criminals, they continued, “It has been a long journey.”

She continues to work to improve the criminal justice system on behalf of victims, the innocent, and those who are incarcerated and are attempting to redeem themselves, according to their statement’s conclusion.

Due to the fact that they had already served time while awaiting the trial, it is reported that the guilty parties will regrettably not receive additional prison time.

Judge David De Pas of CNN called the sentences “quite lenient.”

They were “considered a very far away from this significant event, which had an impact on the civil parties,” he said. If there isn’t any blood left in the blood, you have caused fear.

The terrified star, who claimed she also feared being attacked by the men involved, had been robbed of $ 10 million worth of jewelry by the armed robbers.

They claimed that “none of them will go back inside a cell due to the health, age, and the fact that they have already spent time in prison.” All of them have come home.

The majority of the jewelry taken is still unrecovered, according to Kim’s legal team. One of the suspects, named Aomar Ait Khedache, who was the ring leader, received an eight-year sentence.

He has been reported to be deaf and unable to speak after spending a lot of time with his illness.

He was given an eight-year prison sentence, but his defense attorney, Chloé Arnoux, said, “He has already served five years in prison. He won’t go.”

The remaining three years will also be suspended, they added, “He was found guilty in 2017 for another sentence concurrently with the most recent one handed down.”

Ms. Arnoux continued, “This decision is also proof that justice can truly correct the situation in ways other than prison.”

Nicola Peltz ‘behind Beckham brothers’ bitter feud’ after ‘appalling’ family snub

Insiders claim that Nicola Peltz contributed significantly to the straining relationship between Brooklyn and his younger brother Romeo.

After an ‘awful’ family snub, the Beckham brothers’ bitter feud was led by Nicola Peltz.

Allegations have surfaced that Nicola Peltz, who is the wife of Brooklyn Beckham, behaved poorly towards Romeo Beckham’s former girlfriend – a situation insiders say ignited a long-standing tension between the brothers.

Nicola, 30, and Brooklyn, 26, have reportedly been at odds with the Beckham clan after notably skipping David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month – a move that only intensified speculation of a family fallout.

Some claim that the seeds of conflict were sown much earlier than Romeo’s current partner Kim Turnbull, 24, who briefly dated Brooklyn in 2016).

According to sources, the issues date back to the extravagant wedding that Brooklyn and Nicola had planned in Miami in 2022. Despite the fact that she and Romeo had been together for three years at the time, Nicola is said to have completely ignored her then-girlfriend, Mia Regan, during the planning and even at the wedding itself.

The bride’s attitude, according to reports, left guests perplexed, and they called it “absolutely perplexing.” Romeo and Cruz, their younger brother, Cruz, both had 20s, making Romeo one of Brooklyn’s best men, which only made things awkward.

A source told the Daily Mail that “Brooklyn and Romeo have been fighting for a long time.” They “do not get on,” they say. David and Victoria have had to deal with a lot.

The brothers, who were once very close and well-known for hating on their 13-year-old siblings Cruz and Harper, have separated, according to the insider. “It’s been awful for a long time,” says the statement. Their parents have been so upset by it. A large, content family was everything they ever desired.

Brooklyn’s wedding marked a turning point, according to those with knowledge of the situation. Romeo reportedly thought that the rising tension was preventable and unnecessary.

Despite Brooklyn and Nicola consistently denying any breakup, there are still rumors that Brooklyn and Nicola have largely lost touch with Brooklyn’s family.

Brooklyn’s skepticism about Kim Turnbull’s “motives” in dating his younger brother is one contributing factor, according to previous reports. Brooklyn feels isolated because of this conflict, according to reports that Romeo and his family are arguing over him. According to sources, David has been “devastated” by the current state of affairs.

Brooklyn allegedly requested a private meeting with his parents during the birthday party to avoid a misunderstanding with Kim. However, it is said that David and Victoria rejected the proposal. Brooklyn and Kim’s relationship with Rocco Ritchie, Madonna’s son, was complicated even more by their past.

Speaking to the Mirror, a source close to Brooklyn and Nicola revealed the emotional toll the rift is taking on the couple. “Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family.

They are devastated as well. They are so upset that Victoria and David resisted coming to see them in person after making a special trip to London to repair the relationship.

It’s shocking that Victoria and David act in this manner as parents, the source continued, “Rather than having a private discussion about the issue. There is no way Victoria and David are interested in developing a workable solution.

Brooklyn not showing up was a real blow to David, according to a different insider who previously spoke to the Mirror. Although Brooks is married now, his father was a close relationship when he was a child. There is a separation between Brooklyn and his parents because his wife Nicola is older and more confident in her own right.

Because of the family’s use of social media, it has turned into a problem and is not something they can keep private. There is a very obvious rift that David and Victoria would be happy to heal because things have gotten worse in recent months.

The Mirror wants to speak with Nicola and Brooklyn’s representatives about this story.
