Brooklyn Beckham snubs entire family from Nicola Peltz vow renewal in ‘upsetting’ move

EXCLUSIVE: Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz have renewed their wedding vows after three years of married with all of his family, including David and Victoria not invited

Brooklyn Beckham renews his wedding vows to Nicola Peltz – after inviting NONE of his extended family to the service in a brutal snub.

Not only were his parents David and Victoria in the dark, but so too were his three siblings Cruz, Harper and Romeo, as well as his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

None of Brooklyn’s UK-based friends were also invited to the Los Angeles-based service. It’s thought the first everyone knew about the service was when they read about it in media reports. It comes as the couple are at the centre of a feud with David and Victoria after they snubbed the former’s 50th birthday party.

Today Nicola posted a series of pictures of the event, including a family line-up. One picture appeared to show her dad Nelson officiating the service.

A source said: “It must have been very upsetting to find out this way.” Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, have only been married three years.

Speaking about the August 2 ceremony at the weekend, Brooklyn said: “We just wanted a really beautiful experience — a really cute memory.”

He added: “To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with her. I think the most important thing that someone can do is find that person that they’re going to spend the rest of their life with. It definitely shapes you as a person. Yeah, it was really, really cute. It was really fun.”

He said that he would have his vows tattooed on his body, like he did the first time around in 2022 too. He said he’s going to have to “find space”. “These ones were actually longer than my original ones,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Beckham family – minus eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola – are currently taking a trip around the coast of Italy on the £16million craft.

Victoria, 51, posted a handful of holiday snaps of herself and David, 50, soaking up the sun with Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14. When asked about married life with Nicola, Brooklyn told People magazine at the weekend it was like “a never-ending play date.”

“We don’t like to go out for dinner, really,” he said “We don’t like to party or anything like that. When we are together, which is a lot of the time, we just hang out with our four dogs, and drink wine at home.”

Sources close to Nicola have previously insisted there is no chance of reconciliation with David and Victoria at the moment given the “highly charged atmosphere.”

Her friends have previously said that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”.

The claims – described as “parently untrue and ludicrous” by friends of the Beckhams – marked the “nail in the coffin” of any future relationship, according to insiders.

The Mirror has told before how David and Victoria Beckham ’s pals were desperately worried about their son Brooklyn’s “unhealthy” relationship with wife Nicola.

Friends of the couple have said that they believe Nicola is “isolating” their son from not only them but his friends and extended family members.

It comes as Brooklyn this year pointedly pledged his loyalty to his wife in a social media post, saying: “I always choose you, baby.” Pals said it was “disappointing but unsurprising” if Brooklyn meant this as a dig at his family – as they laid the blame at his wife.

Strictly Come Dancing’s policy on past contestants returning after first 2025 star named

Strictly Come Dancing will return soon for its new series and we already know that at least one of the contestants has experience competing on the dancefloor of the BBC show

The line-up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing is now starting to be unveiled ahead of the launch. The first contestant was named this morning by the BBC amid much speculation over who will take to the dancefloor this year.

Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, who’s also known as Nitro, is the first celebrity confirmed for the next series of Strictly, which is expected to launch in the coming weeks. His dance partner has yet to be announced though.

It isn’t the first time that the former Olympic athlete has competed on the dancefloor though, with him having appeared in last year’s Christmas special, so we’ve taken a look at the show’s history of bringing back contestants. It comes amid reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Harry was on Strictly’s Christmas special in December last year. Partnered with Nancy Xu, he got one of the highest scores in the episode but lost to RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Tayce, who had danced with Kai Widdrington.

There’s also speculation that Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts, who appeared on a festival special back in 2022, could be on the main series this year too. She’s reportedly set to share some “news” on BBC Radio 2 tomorrow morning.

So what are the rules on past contestants returning? Strictly has allowed a number of celebrities who have appeared in specials to later compete on the main, with there seemingly no restrictions on previous contestants coming back.

Several celebrities who competed in Christmas specials have gone on to appear on the main show, including some who even won the festive spin-off. They include EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick won the special in 2023 with Nancy.

Last year, Jamie appeared on the main show but partnered with Michelle Tsiakkas. Although some pros have left by the time their former celebrity partner has returned, Nancy was still on the show when Jamie came back, with returning stars not guaranteed to be in the same partnership.

JLS member JB Gill won a Christmas special in 2012 alongside dance partner Ola Jordan. He returned last year but was partnered with Amy Dowden and then Lauren Oakley. Ola had left the show years before his second stint.

JB had competed against the likes of Helen Skelton during his first appearance. She later returned herself, with her back on the dancefloor as a contestant on the main show in 2022, a decade on from her debut on the spin-off.

They aren’t the only Christmas special stars to have later been on the main show. Former This Morning host Fern Britton competed in 2010 and then 2012, Blue member Simon Webbe appeared in 2011 and then 2014, whilst Bros’ Matt Goss was a contestant in 2013 and then 2022.

Although none of the contestants who returned after competing in a Christmas special have ever won the main show, some have reached the final. JB, Helen and Simon all became runners-up when they returned to the dancefloor.

It isn’t just the annual Christmas special has that opened the door for future contestants on the main show. Some celebrities have competed on other Strictly specials in the past before ending up in the line-up for the main show.

Alex Scott, for example, won a footballers special for Sport Relief in 2018 and returned for the main series in 2019. Susanna Reid was in a Children in Need newsreaders special in 2011 and later on the main show in 2013. Whilst Maisie Smith won an EastEnders special in 2019 and then placed as a runner-up on the main series of Strictly in 2020.

McFly’s Harry Judd and the Saturdays’ Rochelle Humes competed against each other in a Children In Need special in 2010, which was won by the former. He later returned for the main show in 2011, which he won, whilst Rochelle made a second appearance herself in a Christmas special in 2013.

Contestants have also been known to appear on the main show and then return for one of the spin-offs. EastEnders star Louisa Lytton competed on Strictly back in 2006 and then appeared in a Children In Need special in 2019.

There has even been specials dedicated to returning contestants over the years. A Christmas special in 2016, for example, saw six contestants who had once competed on the main show, including runner-up Frankie Bridge and Gethin Jones, with Melvin Odoom crowned the winner.

Additionally, reality TV star Jamie Laing had been unveiled as part of the line-up for Strictly in 2019 but later withdrew due to an injury before his first performance. He then got to return as a contestant on the show the following year.

Announcing his return for the new series, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey said: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got. I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let’s hope I’m as quick picking up the routines as I am on the track.”

Strictly star Alex Kingston’s heartbreaking split from Oscar nominee after affair

Actress Alex Kingston has had a turbulent love life before joining Strictly Come Dancing as her marriage to actor Ralph Fiennes came to a heartbreaking end amid an affair

Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Kingston has had a rocky love life before finding love with her husband. The Doctor Who actress, 62, has signed up to the latest series of the hit BBC dance competition as she prepares to strut her stuff on the dancefloor.

She became a firm favourite of Doctor Who fans after landing the role of River Song and her character was part of David Tenant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi’s stints on the sci-fi show. Her TV career has seen her star in US medical drama ER, period dramas The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders, Arrow and A Discovery of Witches.

Alex has made no secret of her love of Strictly as in 2019, she said: “Sarah Hadland and I talked about how much we’d like to do Strictly Come Dancing. Then I discovered she’s a trained ballet dancer. ‘Hang on a minute! That’s not fair!’ So, I can’t do it on a season when she is on it!” It comes after a Strictly Come Dancing star pulls out of show as he makes career announcement.

Away from screens, Alex has had her fair share of heartbreak. She met Oscar nominated actor Ralph Fiennes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art back in 1983.

They tied the knot a decade later, however their romance came to a disastrous end when Ralph fell for a woman 18 years his elder. Alex once: “We were like strangers – very fragile.

“His mother was dying and somehow we thought the wedding was going to heal everything. But that was crazy, of course.” In 1995, Ralph starred in Hamlet at Hackney Empire opposite Francesca Annis—who played Gertrude, his character’s mother.

Despite the age gap, their affair led to him leaving Alex and confessing his love for Francesca. Ralph, aged 32 at the time, embarked on a romance with Francesca, then 50.

Francesca, who has three kids with photographer Patrick Wiseman, reportedly left him for the actor. Alex revealed the depth of her emotional struggle post-divorce to the Daily Mail, saying: “I was feeling worthless, that I would never find anyone else as good as my husband, which is ridiculous, but I had so little self-esteem.

“Divorce is awful but it is also something I don’t regret happening to me because it has shaped who I am now.” Ralph and Francesca dated for 10 years between 1997 and 2006 and hit back at age gap concerns.

“Of course I don’t spend days agonising over the age difference. How can I? There is nothing I can do about it,” she once said. “Ralph and I have been together ten years now so, whatever happens, we have had a very good, different relationship and an interesting time.”

Their relationship fell apart in the wake of a sensational affair allegation as Romanian singer Corneila Crisan claimed she had a two-year affair with Ralph.

The next day, Fiennes and Francesca announced they were going their separate ways, as they said: “Miss Annis confirms today that she and Ralph Fiennes are to separate.”

Ralph’s affair had a heartbreaking affect on Alex as she admitted to considering and nearly attempting suicide. She went on to marry German writer Florian Haertel and welcomed daughter Salome together in 2001.

However, they split in 2009 with their divorce finalised four years later. Thankfully, Alex has found love again as she is now married to TV presenter Jonathan Stamp having wed in Italy in 2015.

How do Newcastle resolve Isak saga & rescue ‘nightmare’ window?

So far, Newcastle’s pre-season has been a nightmare. There is no other way of describing it.

They have had a disastrous transfer window, missing out on every one of their top targets they went for, and on top of that they have got Alexander Isak’s situation hanging over them as they get ready for the opening weekend.

One way or another they have to resolve it, but that won’t be easy. Isak clearly wants to leave St James’ Park and join Liverpool, but he cannot be sold if they don’t get anyone in to replace him.

It’s not just one new striker Newcastle need, either. Callum Wilson moved on earlier in the summer so the reality is that if they don’t get two centre-forwards in, Isak does not go anywhere.

That is still a possible scenario and, if he is still at Newcastle when the window closes at the start of September, things get interesting because he will want to play – he could be playing for his World Cup place with Sweden at next summer’s finals.

There are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes surrounding Isak at the moment, but over the next two or three weeks we will find out a lot more about how things could pan out.

At the moment, though, Newcastle’s priority is Saturday and their trip to Aston Villa.

‘Liverpool are never going to get Isak for £110m’

This summer should have been a time for Newcastle to really kick on after last season, following the highs of claiming their first domestic trophy for 70 years and then qualifying for the Champions League.

I don’t know how or why it has been allowed to happen, but right now it feels like much of that momentum has been lost.

Newcastle went into the summer with no chief executive or sporting director, which I find amazing. They knew Darren Eales was stepping down as chief executive last September – 11 months ago – and Paul Mitchell left as sporting director at the end of June.

I don’t know why they haven’t appointed anyone yet or if that has hindered them in the transfer market, because I am not inside the club, but from the outside it is not a good look. It’s a mess, and it begs the question about who has making the big decisions.

Now they have to deal with Isak as well. There are two sides to every story and we haven’t heard from Isak yet, or anyone inside his camp, other than him saying he wants to explore his options.

We don’t know when he told the club that, how he told them, or what his feelings are about exactly why he wants out. What we do know is that Liverpool have offered £110m for him.

In recent years we have seen Enzo Fernandez, Declan Rice and Jack Grealish go for around £100m so, if that is the bar, they are never going to get Isak – a 25-year-old striker who has scored 44 Premier League goals across the past two seasons – for £110m. I don’t think you’d get Dan Burn for that, to be honest.

Why Wissa and Watkins would be a good fit

I am not angry about the way Isak has behaved, because I know how football works. I’m disappointed and surprised that this is happening now, but I have been in the game long enough to understand why we have got to this point.

It seems obvious that Liverpool have got into him, or his agent, to turn his head and make him want to go there. From a players’ perspective, rather than a fan, I get the mentality where he has made his mind up about what is best for his future too.

But it is the club that matters most here and, whatever happens next, the crux of the matter is that Newcastle United are far bigger than any one individual – it always has been, and always will be.

Players move on all the time, and do what they have to do, but the club is always there. That’s the one constant, every season.

So, Newcastle have to look after themselves, which means that if they are contemplating letting Isak go for whatever price they want for him, then they also need to get two strikers they want in before they can do that.

If they are available, Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins are proven Premier League strikers and probably the best-case scenario from Newcastle’s point of view.

At the same time, I appreciate fans of those clubs won’t like their centre-forwards being linked with moves away, the same way Newcastle supporters feel right now.

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres averaged more than a goal per game last season for Portuguese side SportingGetty Images

How will other new strikers settle in?

It is very difficult to predict what Newcastle’s season could look like until Isak’s future is sorted out, but it could still be a very good one.

They have got one of, if not the best, midfields in the country, they are really strong in wide areas and it looks like they are signing another centre-half in AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw.

So, looking at the bigger picture, whether Isak stays or goes and they can bring two quality strikers in, they have still got a very good team.

Even so, I am still not sure they would be able to improve on last season’s fifth-place finish. Last season’s top four have done so much good business and gone so big in the transfer market, it is going to be extremely difficult for any of the chasing pack to break into those places, not just Newcastle.

In terms of the title I see Liverpool as favourites, even without Isak. You just have to look at what they did last season, and how they won the title at a canter.

They have seen Trent Alexander-Arnold leave, and tragically lost Diogo Jota, but have spent heavily to strengthen their squad and won’t be distracted by having any stars coming to the end of their contract. Who knows what they might do under Arne Slot if they got another forward as good as Isak is, too.

Arsenal finally have an out-and-out striker in Viktor Gyokeres and will believe that, after three successive second places, he can get them over the line in a title race. Their top scorer in the Premier League last season was Kai Havertz with nine goals, so that tells you what they have been missing.

How Gyokeres fits in is one of the things I am really looking forward to finding out in the new campaign, and it is the same with other strikers at new clubs, like Liam Delap and Joao Pedro at Chelsea. I don’t think they are finished yet in the transfer market, and their attack is already looking a lot more dangerous than last season.

The same applies with how Benjamin Sesko settles in at Manchester United. I was disappointed that he chose to go there over Newcastle, but at the same time I saw him live several times last season and he is a player with potential, rather than offering guaranteed goals.

I see what Sesko’s strengths are, but £74m is a lot of money for a player with room for improvement. At 22 he is no way the finished article, but there will still be big pressure on him to perform.

With Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United have spent more than £200m on their forward line, but I still don’t see them getting in next season’s top four.

I think it’s almost impossible for them to go from 15th to the Champions League places, even if fifth place is good enough again. Instead I have them finishing anywhere between sixth and 10th, but no higher.
