Ex-Loose Women Andrea McLean says she’s ‘knackered’ in candid update to fans

The TV star, aged 56, shared a key ‘takeaway’ after taking part in two fitness activities

Andrea McLean shared with her fans that she feels ‘knackered in a good way’ after attempting two new fitness activities. Although the former Loose Women star was initially anxious to start, she managed to proceed at a pace that was comfortable for her.

“So, this is the face of someone who has been to a weight training class and then did two hours of padel,” the 56-year-old explained on Instagram yesterday. “This is what knackered looks like.

“But one of the reasons I thought I would do a little video about it is because I am just really happy that I could. Really happy that I joined a weight training class and walked in thinking, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do this,’ and, ‘Everyone is going to be really good and I don’t know anybody.’ And actually, I could do it at my level, and everyone was really nice.”

Later, she added: “It’s nice to feel knackered in a good way, and that’s my takeaway.” Andrea’s fitness update comes almost a year after she suffered flu-like symptoms before collapsing in the bathroom last December.

When rushed to the hospital, medics explained that she not only had acute kidney injury and sepsis but severe pneumonia too, losing ‘80% capacity’ in one lung.

Recounting the ordeal on Substack, Andrea said she stayed there for several days and was completely overwhelmed by the bright lights, yelling, screams, and almost constant ‘smell of poo’. Yet, even once she returned home, things didn’t go back to normal.

In March, she collapsed on the bathroom floor for a second time after getting out of bed ‘too fast’. While Andrea didn’t explain whether her fitness habits halted amidst these incidents, in May, she said she hadn’t felt confident exercising for a very long time.

A few months ago, she also wrote on Instagram: “I hadn’t been confident enough to go back to the gym, so I’ve just been doing it on my own, and that actually makes me feel really sad to say it out loud, that I wasn’t confident enough to go into a gym and do my little app workout.

“[It’s] because I was so, so far from the fit person that I was, and I don’t know, again, it’s such a weird thing to explain if you’ve not kind of lost all your fitness and all that kind of thing and then you’re starting again.”

Unsurprisingly, the celebrity’s more recent fitness post was quickly flooded with several supportive comments from fans. Among them, one person said: “You are an inspiration to so many people especially me. Carry on doing what you love.”

Meanwhile, another person wrote: “Good to see you smiling, glowing and a good knackered,” as someone else said: “You look well Andrea. Loving the sunshine I’m sure.”

Why was FIFA President Infantino with Trump at Gaza peace summit in Egypt?

FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s participation in Summit for Peace held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt on Monday may have been a surprise to those who were expecting only world leaders, presidents and high-ranking officials to be in attendance at the Red Sea resort town.

Infantino was photographed next to the co-chair of the event, United States President Donald Trump, in the latest joint appearance by the pair during the second Trump presidency.

Here is all to know about Infantino’s presence in Egypt:

Why was FIFA president at the Egypt Peace summit?

Infantino stated that Trump had invited him to the Summit for Peace and that “FIFA is here to help, to assist and to put ourselves at disposal for whatever we can do to make sure that this peace process comes to fruition and to the best possible end.”

His invitation followed the FIFA president becoming more vocal on the Israel-Gaza conflict in recent days.

Last week, he called for football to support efforts towards peace in the Middle East in the lead-up to two World Cup qualifiers that involved Israel, after pro-Palestinian demonstrations were planned at stadiums in Norway and Italy.

After Friday’s Israel-Hamas ceasefire announcement, Infantino praised the US-brokered plan and singled out Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.

“The role of President Trump has been absolutely fundamental and crucial in the process. Without President Trump, there would be no peace,” he said.

What role did Infantino play at the Summit for Peace?

In Sharm el Sheikh, the FIFA president stressed football’s important role in creating new hope in the Middle East region.

Infantino pledged the governing body’s support to rebuild football infrastructure in Gaza as part of wider post-war reconstruction efforts following Monday’s peace summit.

“Football’s role has to be to support, has to be to unite, has to be to give hope in the region. In Gaza, in Palestine, we will, of course, help to rebuild all the football facilities. We will help to bring football back – together with the Palestinian Football Association – in every corner of the country. We will bring (footballs), we will build pitches, we will bring instructors, we will help organise competitions, we will launch a fund to help rebuild football infrastructure in Palestine,” he announced.

Infantino added that FIFA would contribute with mini-pitches and “FIFA arenas” and invite other partners to join the effort, saying “football brings hope to children, and it’s very, very important.”

What is the relationship between Infantino and Trump?

Trump first met Infantino at the White House in 2018, during his first presidential term, after the US was awarded the co-hosting rights to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

They have appeared at summits together before; in 2020, they shared the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It was during this summit that Infantino first called Trump “my great friend”, according to reporting by The Washington Post.

The pair remained in contact when Trump left office in early 2021, but since the second Trump presidency, which coincided with June’s FIFA Club World Cup staged in the US, Infantino has been seen repeatedly with the US president.

Most recently, on August 22, Infantino was filmed inside the Oval Office after he gifted a gold replica World Cup trophy to Trump.

In late 2024, Infantino relocated to Trump’s hometown in Miami due to his North American-based World Cup commitments, ensuring the two friends have easy access for any joint public appearances in the future.

Meghan Markle’s designer pal sets record straight on dramatic Paris Fashion Week outing

Meghan Markle attended the Balenciaga runway show at Paris Fashion Week, and while she alluded to being invited by the creative director, he has now told a different story

Meghan Markle sparked headlines around the world with her dramatic, surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week for the Balenciaga show.

It was the first time the Duchess of Sussex had travelled to mainland Europe in two years, stepping out to support recently appointed designer Pierpaolo Piccioli as the brand’s creative director by attending his Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear show.

At the time of the show, a statement from Meghan’s spokesperson said the duchess was close to the designer, saying her presence was “the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship”. However, Piccioli has now instead referred to Meghan’s appearance at the show as a “beautiful surprise”.

Discussing Meghan’s trip to Paris – and her two divisive outfits – he told The Cut : “Meghan and I met some years ago, and we’ve been texting ever since. She reached out and said she’d love to come to the show.” He added: “There was no strategy or big orchestration”.

The designer then added: “I didn’t tell anyone she was coming because I wanted it to stay a surprise. In fashion, real surprises are rare, and this one was beautiful”.

Ahead of Meghan’s appearance at the Fashion Week showcase, her spokesperson said: “Over the years, the duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage,” adding how Meghan is “supportive” of his “new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”

In a video captured from backstage at the Balenciaga show, Meghan was left a little red faced after she attempted to lean in for a kiss with the Italian designer, only to hit her head on his sunglasses .

As she leaned in to greet Picciolo and congratulate him on his collection, she seemed to hit her nose on his dark sunglasses. However, aware that the cameras had captured their awkward embrace, Pier appeared to laugh off the disjointed encounter and pulled her in for a photo.

A body language expert revealed how the awkward clash went down, and says it was actually Piccioli who caused Meghan to accidentally butt heads with him.

Judi James told The Mirror : “It was Piccioli who created the ‘cringe’ moment for poor Meghan, getting way too close to greet and speak to her, leading to a lack of reading her non-verbal cues when they air-kissed, leading in turn to a nose-clunk when they each aimed in the wrong direction.”

Analysing the footage of their encounter, Judi continued: “When the photos were over though Piccioli moved in for a close-quarters hug with Meghan, whose immaculate white outfit that was so carefully arranged should have warded off any form of grabbing and squeezing.”

TV star murdered by lethal silicone injection as husband shares heartbreak

A woman has been convicted of murder and practising medicine without a licence after a BBL procedure led to the death of an actress – and it isn’t the first time she’s been caught

A woman known as ‘The Butt Lady’ has been found guilty of murdering a TV star after a botched silicone injection session.

Libby Adame was already on probation for an involuntary manslaughter case involving buttocks injections when she fatally administered the jab to Cindyana Santangelo, an actor who appeared in ER and Married … with Children.

The 55-year-old was convicted by a Los Angeles jury of second-degree murder and practising medicine without a license after 58-year-old Santangelo died from a fatal embolism caused by silicone injections Adame administered in the star’s home, The Independent reports.

In California, second-degree murder carries a mandatory minimum of 15 years, practising medicine without a license can add up to three years, and the special allegation of causing great bodily harm adds three to six years to Adame’s sentence.

Adame’s defense lawyer J. told jurors that Adame was only consulting on behalf of licensed doctors and didn’t actually perform the fatal procedure on Santangelo, the LA Times reports.

He also argued that Santangelo already had bandages on her buttocks when Adame consulted with her, suggesting someone else performed the fatal procedure, according to NBC4 Los Angeles. Adame denied that she administered the injections.

At the time of Santangelo’s death, Adame was on probation for a 2019 involuntary manslaughter case involving the fatal buttocks injections of 26-year-old Karissa Rajpaul.

Rajpaul’s death was ruled a homicide caused by acute cardiopulmonary dysfunction and silicone injections. Investigators said the women, presenting themselves as specialists, mixed safe cosmetic substances with dangerous chemicals.

Santangelo, best known for her roles on Married… with Children and ER, had a history of substance abuse but had been sober for several years.

Her husband, Frank Santangelo, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Adame, claiming his wife was “killed in the prime of her life in her own home.”

During the trial, Frank Santangelo testified that his wife appeared to be breathing normally before meeting with Adame, but later struggled to breathe on the massage table and was bleeding from both butt cheeks.

He claimed Adame told him, “This has never happened to a client of mine before,” mentioned she might have something in her car to help, but then packed her bag and never returned.
