Taylor Swift new album Easter eggs from specific letter and key colour to door

Taylor Swift announced her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, on October 12, but it turns out the news was hiding right under our noses this entire time

Taylor Swift announced a new album

The unstoppable pop sensation Taylor Swift confirmed the release of yet another album, The Life Of A Showgirl, on October 12, leaving devotees in complete meltdown – but it appears the announcement was concealed right beneath our very eyes this whole time.

If being a Swiftie signifies anything, it requires perpetually deciphering mysterious clues because this artist certainly doesn’t approach matters lightly.

With every launch, whether that involves a music video, an album, or a tour, Taylor Swift delights in concealing enigmatic hints, suggesting possible song titles, themes, collaborations and beyond.

As it happens, the clues were lurking right beneath our very noses.

Outlining her motivations for steering her extraordinary career in this manner, Swift previously revealed to the Washington Post: “When I was 15 and putting together my first album… I decided to encode the lyrics with hidden messages using capital letters. That’s how it started, and my fans and I have since descended into colour coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate hints, and Easter eggs.”, reports the Mirror US.

“It’s really about turning new music into an event for my fans and trying to entertain them in playful, mischievous, clever ways. As long as they still find it fun and exciting, I’ll keep doing it.”

The colour orange

The colour orange With her latest release, Taylor Swift has introduced a fresh colour to her musical universe. Each of her albums has been associated with a specific colour, which helped distinguish them during her Eras Tour performances.

However, the one colour we haven’t seen yet is orange – the central hue of The Life Of A Showgirl.

Swifties may have overlooked that orange was subtly hinted at throughout various elements. During the start of the Eras Tour, there were only a few instances where Taylor donned the colour orange, including a surprise acoustic performance with Sabrina Carpenter.

This has led fans to speculate about a potential collaboration with the pop singer on the new album.

One of the visuals displayed on the big screen during the Eras Tour, known as the Lover House, showcased a house with different rooms – each room illuminated with the distinct colours of each era. Towards the tour’s conclusion, an orange door began to emerge, symbolising an unseen colour and a possible new album.

On the final night of her 149-night tour, she seemed to step through that very orange door – now understood as a metaphor for her transition into a new era, The Life of A Showgirl.

Very specific number

The number 12 also plays a significant role in The Life Of A Showgirl. As her 12th studio album, it was announced on August 12, and there were numerous subtle hints pointing towards this.

After all, if there’s one thing we know about Miss Swift, nothing is ever left to chance.

It was precisely 12 weeks ago that the pop sensation revealed she had finally acquired the masters to her entire catalogue.

In her announcement, she kicked off by writing “hiiiiiiiiiiii” with exactly 12 ‘i’s – because why wouldn’t she?

Fuelling the speculation further, she shared a clip on social media last October at Hard Rock Stadium, positioned in front of an ‘A12’ sign.

Eagle-eyed supporters were swift to clock this detail, well aware of Taylor’s penchant for numerical games, interpreting it as a clue that ‘album 12’ was approaching.

Showgirl themes

Taylor appears to have been flirting with ‘showgirl’ concepts for quite some time, evident even during her 2022 Midnights era.

In the ‘Bejewelled’ music video, she performed alongside burlesque legend Dita Von Teese whilst donning a feathered ensemble beneath a glittering amber spotlight.

Might this have been an early teaser?

Then there’s her most theatrical showgirl moment during the Eras Tour’s rendition of ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ from her latest offering, The Tortured Poets Department.

The routine features her portraying an exhausted entertainment industry figure before her backing dancers, clad in formal suits and top hats, transform her into the sparkling pop icon we recognise her to be. As anticipation mounts for her 12th studio album, and fans delve into its concealed intricacies, the excitement is palpable as they decipher the clues left by Taylor Swift.

Former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set for a medical at Leeds United after reaching an agreement to join the newly promoted Premier League side on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old ended his nine-year stay at Everton in June, saying it was an “incredibly difficult decision” to leave the club.

Calvert-Lewin scored 71 goals in 273 games for Everton after joining from Sheffield United for £1.5m in 2016.

Leeds’ other striking options are Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha, while Patrick Bamford has been told he is “not part” of manager Daniel Farke’s plans this season and Mateo Joseph has joined Mallorca on loan.

Calvert-Lewin’s best season was in 2020-21, when he scored 16 goals in 33 Premier League games and was part of the England squad that reached the final of the European Championship that summer.

He struggled with injuries and form the following season and in 2024-25 started just over half of the 26 matches he played.

He has not added to his 11 England caps and four goals since 2021.

Stacey Solomon’s holiday date night with Joe Swash as they ditch kids for night alone

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon enjoyed a romantic date night with her husband Joe Swash during their family trip to Turkey and she filmed it for her fans to see

Stacey Solomon gave fans a glimpse into her beachside date night with husband Joe Swash while clearing up confusion over his absence from earlier holiday posts.

Posting to Instagram from their family trip to Turkey, Stacey responded to questions about Joe’s whereabouts, writing: “For everyone asking… of course Joe’s here, but we have five kids so anyone with kids knows you’re always on split shifts. Here’s a rare photo of us from last night.”

Thanks to Stacey’s step-sister Samantha Stone watching the children, the couple enjoyed some rare time alone. It comes after Stacey said she was ‘so proud’ as she unveiled her impressive body transformation in a tiny bikini.

In one selfie captioned “Mum and dad,” the pair were seen sipping rosé wine on the beach. Stacey also posted clips of Joe driving a golf buggy, kissing her forehead, and relaxing together on a bench.

As the two lay side by side, Stacey joked: “People ‘What did you do on your date night?’ Us: Laid there in silence and didn’t talk to each other. This is true love. This is true love.” To which Joe added: “When silence isn’t awkward, it’s embraced.”

The playful exchange continued as Stacey noticed Joe’s awkward position: “Have you even got something to rest your head on? Are you just hanging off the edge?”

“No, this is quite uncomfortable actually. It’s like the ultimate ab workout,” Joe laughed. Stacey then asked: “Why have you laid like that? Why have you done that?”

“Because I offered you my arm and didn’t realise no one’s there to offer me their arm,” Joe replied. “So I’ve just got to hover my head a little bit.”

Stacey smiled and concluded: “And that is true love. Suspended over a bench to make me comfortable.”

Forensic Expert Warns Against Unruly Behaviour In Aviation

Unruly behaviour in aviation is a serious offence that threatens lives and must be met with strict action, forensic expert Abiodun Osiyemi has warned.

Speaking on Sunrise Daily on Channels TV on Wednesday, Osiyemi said, “Unruly behaviour can range from hijacking a plane, in other words, you go to the cockpit, punch the captain or whatever — and that is a very heinous, serious offence.

“It can include beating any passenger or any cabin crew member. It can even prevent the motion of the plane, which threatens other people and other persons in the Airdrop,” he said.

He stressed that aviation offences are as serious as those in medicine because errors can cost lives.

“Unruly behaviour in the aviation industry is particularly serious, just like the medical environment because the damage is usually as a result of life,” he explained.

On in-flight instructions, Osiyemi explained that compliance rules differ across jurisdictions but can be absolute.

“’Switch off your phone’ is different from ‘Put your phone in flight mode’. In some air spaces, they permit you to put your phone in flight mode. In some environments and flights, it is switched off. Therefore, there is no ambiguity about compliance with the instruction; it is absolute.”

He commended Nigerians, regulators, and law enforcement for their handling of the ValueJet and Ibom Air cases.

“What should have come first is to thank the entire citizens and public in Nigeria because of their concern and interest in the subject matter… to also thank the regulators on their recent decision because it is a learning curve and very proactive, and to thank the law enforcement agents and the police for their role.”

On passenger awareness, he criticised the current ticket agreement process as inadequate.

EFCC Probes Passenger Over Alleged Undeclared $59,000 At Lagos Airport

The Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun investigating one Duru Ikechukwu Damian, who was arrested by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for allegedly failing to declare the sum of $59,000 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

This was made known via the Commission’s official X handle on Wednesday

According to the EFCC, Damian was intercepted by customs operatives on Monday, during a routine check at the Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Currency Declaration Desk. He was scheduled to travel to Dubai on an Emirates Airline flight.

The suspect reportedly declared only $10,000, but a search revealed an additional $49,000, bringing the total amount in his possession to $59,000.

During the formal handover to the EFCC on Tuesday, the Area Comptroller of the NCS at the airport, E. I. Harrison, said the process was part of ongoing enforcement measures.

“Today, we are having a process that we have been doing over a period of time. When we intercept currencies, we do the needful of handing over to the appropriate agencies of government. We have carried out sensitisation and public announcements. At the airport, announcements are made at intervals on the need for travellers to declare their currencies, and the electronic signages in the halls display these messages. Yet, at intervals, we also have people who fail to adhere to the extant laws and regulations,” Harrison stated.
