Beauty boxes are a fantastic way to sample new products, replenish your existing favourites or treat someone to a bumper beauty bundle. They often come with massive savings too – and here’s a brand new one that offers you incredible products and value for money.

OK! Beauty Box has joined forces with make-up artist and social media sensation Genevieve Turley – whose hilarious and down-to-earth videos you’ve likely seen on your Instagram or TikTok feed – to create her very own limited-edition beauty edit, featuring 11 of her favourite skincare and make-up products from top brands such as Medik8, Rodial and Gatineau.

Impressively, 10 of the 11 products inside are full size – including a cult classic Medik8 serum – and the total value comes to over £210, yet the box usually costs £59.99 to purchase. However, there’s a way for Mirror readers to save even more.

Purchase it now through this link, or by using the code MIRRORGEN at the checkout, and you’ll get it for £54.99 instead of £59.99, while stocks last. This means a whopping £155 saving, and means that each of the 11 products inside can be thought of as having a value of £4.99 each.

In our exclusive chat with Gen, she said, “I’ve had so many beauty boxes over the years and always thought, ‘What would I put in mine?’ So when this happened I was delighted – and prepared! I wanted great products that will make a big impact for women.

“This box is a great opportunity to try products you may not have heard of or been afraid to splurge on, but with the massive saving, it takes away that worry.”

The two most expensive items inside(Image: Laura Mulley)

For me, the standout item inside is Medik8 C-Tetra. An absolute cult favourite skincare product and a go-to amongst countless beauty experts (myself included), this is a brilliant, foolproof vitamin C serum that moisturises and brightens the complexion, and has almost 1,500 five-star reviews on the Medik8 website alone. Gen reveals that “it really helped reduce my pigmentation from my second pregnancy”.

A full-size 30ml bottle (which is what you receive in the box) costs £42 alone, so for an additional £13 you’re getting 10 other beauty products alongside it.

Other standouts inside include a £39 dewy Rodial blush, a luxe brown eyeliner pencil and “one of [Gen’s] favourite products of this year”, Gatineau Collagene Expert Hydra Essence. But honestly, there’s not a disappointing product in here – everything’s incredibly wearable and simple to use, even if you’re not a make-up expert.

However, if you’re not a big fan of make-up, this box might not be for you as over half of the products are make-up items. You might be more interested in a skincare-focused box like Lookfantastic’s The Skin Renewal Edit, which is valued at £210 but costs £45, or the Boots X Supergoop! Beauty Bag Edit, priced at £44 but worth over £90 (we’ve reviewed this one here).

Trump to host Azerbaijan, Armenia leaders to sign US-brokered deal

United States President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will host the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia for a “historic peace summit”.

Ilham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan, and Nikol Pashinyan, the prime minister of Armenia, will meet with Trump at the White House on Friday for an official “peace signing ceremony,” the president wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“These two Nations have been at War for many years, resulting in the deaths of thousands of people. Many Leaders have tried to end the War, with no success, until now, thanks to ‘TRUMP,’” he wrote.

News of the talks in Washington was reported earlier this week when Pashinyan’s government announced the meeting in a statement on Telegram.

The two countries, former Soviet republics, have faced off over the region of Nagorno-Karabakh since the late 1980s, when Nagorno-Karabakh broke away from Azerbaijan with support from Armenia.

The region, which was claimed by both Azerbaijan and Armenia after the fall of the Russian Empire in 1917, had a mostly ethnic Armenian population at the time.

The two sides fought a bloody war that lasted into the early 1990s, and the region has remained a major flashpoint ever since.

The conflict resumed in 2020 when Azerbaijan tried to retake Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia.

Azerbaijan recaptured Nagorno-Karabakh in September 2023, prompting almost all of the territory’s 100,000 Armenians to flee to Armenia.

The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, for peace talks last month, but no breakthrough in the decades-old conflict was announced.

The Trump administration intensified its efforts to seek a resolution in March when the president dispatched his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to the region.

The prospective agreement could potentially put an end to decades of conflict and set the stage for a reopening of key transportation corridors across the South Caucasus that have been shut since the early 1990s.

US officials told The Associated Press news agency that the agreements included a major breakthrough establishing a key transit corridor across the region, which had been an obstacle in peace talks.

The agreement, according to the officials, would give the US leasing rights to develop the corridor and name it the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.

It would link Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan region, which is separated from the rest of the country by a 32-kilometre (20-mile) patch of Armenia’s territory.

Labour Unions Declare Indefinite Strike In Taraba

Organised labour in Tabara State has set Monday, August 11th, for a statewide strike.

Under the aegis of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), the unions said their decision followed a resolution reached at a meeting of the Joint State Administrative Council on August 6.

This was contained in a press statement jointly signed by NLC Chairman Peter Jediel and TUC Chairman, Sule Abasu.

According to the statement, the strike is in response to alleged irregularities by the state’s Biometric Data Capture Committee, which labour leaders claim have adversely affected workers.

They accused the committee of engaging in illegal practices and faulted the state government for failing to respond to an earlier ultimatum.

“The organised Labour met on 6th August 2025 and resolved as follows:

1] Strike is hereby declared to commence from the early hours of Monday, 11th August 2025.

2] Mobilisation commences summed.

3] All workers, civil society organizations, and the masses are hereby put on notice to stock their houses for all necessary provisions.

Villa complete £30m signing of Nice striker Guessand

Getty Images

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Nice striker Evann Guessand for £26m plus £4.3m in add-ons.

The 24-year-old Ivory Coast forward scored 12 goals last term and was named player of the season as Nice finished fourth in France’s Ligue 1.

The France-born attacker boosts Unai Emery’s striking options at Villa Park, with Ollie Watkins the only recognised centre forward in the Spaniard’s squad.

Emery was keen to reinforce his attack following the departures of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio following the expiry of their loan spells at the end of last season.

“When I heard the club wanted me I didn’t think twice”, Guessand said.

Guessand’s arrival is Villa’s second first-team signing of the summer, following the acquisition of goalkeeper Marco Bizot from French club Brest.

Villa’s summer transfer window has been impacted by the club’s need to comply with Premier League and Uefa financial rules.

The club were fined by Uefa earlier this summer for breaching the European governing body’s squad cost ratio rules.

‘ Drogba comparisons are inevitable but premature ‘

Guessand has made steady progress towards the highest level in recent years.

After a slow start, he took a significant step forward in the 2024-2025 season under the direction of Franck Haise at Nice.

He showed speed and the ability to beat people on the right flank, but also made great progress in finishing when used as a centre forward. His heading game is also improving, even if it’s not his first rate at the moment.

His form dropped off a little at the end of the season, but that didn’t impact his progress. Only Paris St-Germain full-back Achraf Hakimi beat him to the Marc-Vivien Foé Award for Ligue 1’s best African Player of the Year 2025.

Guessand’s style of play and nationality has led to inevitable comparisons with Didier Drogba. There are similarities, given Guesand’s combination of power and technical quality.

Rashford’s replacement?

Guessand promises to be a versatile acquisition that can help replicate Rashford’s role in Emery’s squad.

Like Rashford, Guessand can play across the front line, as well as at number 10.

Only 10 of his 30 Ligue 1 starts last season came at centre-forward, but he also made eight starts on the right wing and nine as a support striker.

As a result, Guessand provided eight assists in addition to scoring 12 times, all from open play last term. Only five players were involved in more goals in the French top flight.

The nine-cap Ivory Coast international’s numbers compare well to those of Watkins and Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa Park.

Guessand outperformed his expected goals tally by more than either Watkins or Rashford, but the key point of difference is that he is a more prolific dribbler, leading to significantly more involvement in terms of touches on the ball.
