The Met Gala is back, which can only mean one thing: May is the first Monday of May! Celebrities and socialites’ biggest day of the year are showcasing their art through their hand-picked, carefully selected outfits, makeup, and hairstyles in collaboration with the best designers in the world.

The Met Gala is similar to Christmas for fashion enthusiasts, with 400 to 650 attendees, including fashion designers, record-selling artists, and beloved film stars. Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Anna, and other well-known athletes will be the hosts this year.

Emma Chamberlain, 23, the first to rock the red carpet was a noughties-inspired ensemble from YouTube and social media sensation. The blonde beauty chose a navy pinstriped backless dress with matching mesh gloves and a spiked-style short hairstyle.

The venue had everyone’s eyes on her as soon as Anna Wintour stepped out on the red carpet in a stunning appearance. In a satin silver gown with embellished floral details, the 75-year-old fashion mogul oozed elegance. To keep in line with the Met Gala’s theme, she finished off the incredible look with a baby blue-long-lined blazer.

The host committee also includes Edward Enninful, Ayo Edebiri, Grace Wales Bonner, Simone Biles, Dapper Dan, and André 3000.

Audra McDonald, Janelle Monáe, Jeremy Pope, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Olivier Rousteing, Tyla, Usher, and Kara Walker are also members of the committee.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan hosts the annual haute couture fundraiser The Costume Institute.

Celebrities from the film, music, and fashion industries are a part of this event, which is regarded as the world’s most prestigious and glamorous gathering.

The annual Met Gala theme is “Tailored for You,” in conjunction with the Costume Institute’s groundbreaking new exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” With a particular emphasis on menswear, this exhibition will explore how clothing and style influence the development of Black identities across the Atlantic diaspora.

The red carpet won’t officially open until 11 p.m. UK time because the annual event is taking place in New York City. Fans can watch the live stream live.

The Costume Institute’s Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibition, which will run from May 10 through October 26, will be revealed on May 5, just before the Met Gala.

According to reports, Brooklyn Beckham believes that father David sided with his younger brother Romeo Beckham and his new girlfriend Kim Turnbull.

David Beckham partied hard as he celebrated turning 50 with his friends and family – minus son Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz. The close-knit family has been rocked by feud allegations between David and Victoria’s eldest son and the rest of the clan. And now, as the former sports star turns 50, all eyes were back on them all.

Unfortunately, Brooklyn was not present at any of the numerous parties the ex-england football captain hosted for himself. And it’s been claimed that Brooklyn chose to stay away because of David’s apparent firmness with those he let join the celebrations.

As well as avoiding the birthday bashes, Brooklyn opted against joining his dad and two brothers, Romeo and Cruz, on a trip to Scotland. David shared a snap to Instagram of him with his two youngest sons, saying they were having “fun times” in Scotland. He tagged Brooklyn in, saying “you were missed”.

However, it appears that Brooklyn was upset with David because he allegedly chose Romeo and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull over Nicola and him. Kim and Brooklyn had a brief romance in 2016.

A source close to Brooklyn told The Sun: “He flew to London with the sole intention of seeing his family and celebrating his dad’s birthday.

He suggested having breakfast or a cup of coffee, but he was informed that Kim would likely attend one of their lavish parties, so he objected. His parents, in his opinion, have preferred Romeo and his new girlfriend over him.

Another source, who claimed Brooklyn had sent his dad a text, but who added that it “felt like box-ticking,” refuted the claims.

It’s not just dad David’s birthday Brooklyn is missing, either. He is said to have opted against attending the iconic Met Gala bash too.

He and his wife Nicola were scheduled to walk the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual event in New York City along with other well-known faces.

However, a source told The Sun: “They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David’s party on Saturday.

Brooklyn is deeply upset that Nicola has been held accountable for the rift, according to Brooklyn. She is a faithful wife, and she has never told him what to do.

She lamented during a conversation on the Criminal Connection podcast that “you can’t win, it doesn’t matter what you do, you can’t win.”

The Dagenham actress, who spoke with Grazia, described her situation as “the nature of being an actor.” She continued, “Gigs come and go, and I always found a new job as soon as I could after my contract with EastEnders expired in February.”

Katie has a history of regular jobs in between acting and being allegedly employed at a garage. She revealed that she had taken a railroad engineering course, had nails qualified, and had other things done, and had a list that would never end.

She continued, “I’ve pulled back a little bit now; I was fantastic to play Donna in The Rise of the Footsolider.”

I’m currently employed, a regular person, and I’ve briefly paused from filming. I’m employed by a garage. I adore it, much like Hayley did in EastEnders. It’s great because I also enjoy working with people.

Katie admitted to feeling “quite happy and settled” in her role despite her previous job-hopping, denying any rumors about a potential return to the soap.

Matthew Wolfenden, a former Emmerdale actor, has been romantically linked to Heather Scott-Martin since 2023 when he split from Charley Webb, a fellow soap opera star.

Former Emmerdale cast member Matthew Wolfenden has been seen in a rare photo with his partner Heather Scott-Martin this week. It was shared with fans on social media as part of a tribute to the actor for his birthday today.

Matthew, now 45 – best known for playing David Metcalfe on the ITV show – is thought to have been in a relationship with Heather for over a year. The pair had worked together in a West End production of the musical Elf in 2023.

They have been spotted together on occasion but Heather shared a rare photo of herself and Matthew on Instagram today. It was part of a post celebrating his birthday, with her among those marking the occasion on the platform.

Matthew modelled a blue suit with a floral pocket square at an event in the photo, which was captured smiling. Heather was seen posing with a floral bracelet and matching blue dress to her partner’s accessory while beaming beside him.

Heather also eluded heart emojis in her earlier post’s caption, “Happy birthday to the best human.” Then Matthew shared the post on his own account, where he wrote, “I]heart emoji] you,” while tagging his partner in his version.

Matthew and Heather worked together in a production of Elf two years ago. It was reported that the couple had begun dating following the news of his split from Charley Webb, now 37, with whom he shares his three children.

It was announced that Matthew and Charley – who played Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale – had separated in November 2023. Just weeks later, he was spotted kissing Heather and, amid speculation, Matthew then denied that their romance had begun before he had split up from his wife Charley.

Since 2007, Matthew and Charley have been dating. Two years later, they tied the knot, but it was later revealed the couple had split up. In a statement at the time, a spokesperson confirmed that information.

They however later reconciled. After getting back together, Matthew told the Daily Record in 2015: “It was never a permanent split, we just needed some time apart.” He also shared: “Sometimes life just gets on top of you.”

Three years later, Matthew and Charley got married in a wedding ceremony in 2018. It was revealed that they hadn’t told guests that it was their wedding, with them instead thinking they were going to Charley’s 30th birthday party.

More recently, there was speculation that Matthew and Charley were living “separate lives” in 2023, shortly before they announced their break-up. A source told the Sun that they were in “different places” to when they got together.

When they first started dating, the source said, “They were living very different lives. Everything has changed and perhaps they no longer fit the mold they once did, three kids later and with new careers in the pipeline.

Following that, the former couple’s separation was revealed. Matthew and I have chosen to split up, according to Charley in a statement. Our main goals are our children’s education, and we will always be friends. We would appreciate privacy at this time for their sake. At the time, Matthew also made a similar statement.
