Britain’s Eurovision entry Remember Monday may have flopped out of this weekend’s 69th song contest with zero points from the voting public, but it’s not all doom and gloom for the three-piece girl band.

According to reports, the group, which includes Charlotte Steele, Holly-Anne Hull, and Lauren Byrne, has signed a £1 million deal with Andrew Lloyd Webber as a performer.

“Andrew is genuinely excited by Remember Monday – he really does think they have something special, both in their vocal capabilities and with their stage presence,” a source told the Daily Mail as they assured the music icon was ‘impressed’ by the band.

They continued, “He is utterly convinced they can go from strength to strength as a result of Eurovision,” adding that Lloyd Webber doesn’t think their lack of votes counted as a failure.

The group, who hails from Hampshire, gained notoriety on the 2019 season of The Voice UK under the guidance of mentor Jennifer Hudson. Although the group won over the talent show, the public didn’t seem to be as impressed by their Eurovision performance six years later.

What the hell just happened, their song? The group may not have received any votes from the general public, but the professional jury did receive 88 on Saturday night’s song contest in Basel, Switzerland.

The group placed 19th out of 26 nations, with Austria’s JJ winning the award for his overall 436 points for his performance of the song Wasted Love.

The winner of the talent contest, which ends later this month, will receive a spot on The Royal Variety Performance’s bill as well as £250, 000 in cash.

The Post Office scandal-affected people who have Hear Our Voice are now performing on stage.

The choir received a welcome response from the judges and theatre audience as they started their performance. Bruno called Bruno, “It comes from my heart, the ordeal, the injustice you’ve been through, is unimaginable.”

The judge reacted with complete apprehension, saying, “The power that be, whoever they are, make it right, right now, it cannot go on forever, it’s completely ridiculous.” Alesha admitted she was “thrilled” that the group had one another for support.

Amanda pleaded with British Prime Minister Starmer on YouTube.

Amanda gushed, “You turn something so awful, such traumatic experience, into something so joyful.” She added: “If Keir Starmer wants to do something and make a difference as a Prime Minister, do it now”!

Simon blasted the “disgusting” leaders who were in charge at the time and demanded that those responsible for the scandal receive justice. Before praising the group for turning something “miserable” into something “positive,” he said, “This story is horrendous.”

I was hoping that you would deliver, as Alesha put it, when she said, “I loved you when I first met you.” Your energy, enthusiasm, passion and talent was shining in all its glory. Thank you for treating everyone well and for keeping us positive. That was a lovely moment. We can’t wait to see you in the final”.

However, when they questioned whether she was able to accomplish this, Ant and Dec were perplexed.

Rice’s Rocket Helps Arsenal Sink Newcastle, Seal Champions League Berth

Declan Rice’s thunderbolt earned Arsenal their place in the Champions League on Sunday against top-five rivals Newcastle.

Arsenal will compete in the elite club competition in Europe next season thanks to Rice’s superb second-half strike at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners’ focus on the top five positions no longer poses a threat to their final weekend of the season after Mikel Arteta’s side ended a five-game winless streak.

After failing to keep up with champions Liverpool, second-placed Arsenal are likely to finish third in a row as Premier League runners-up.

The north Londoners have now gone five years without a trophy after falling short of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals.

Arsenal still look the most likely contenders to take the title from Liverpool next season despite another frustrating season.

On goal difference, third-placed Newcastle is ahead of Chelsea and Aston Villa, who are both in fourth place.

If they can win their game at home to Bournemouth on Tuesday, Manchester City, would go above Eddie Howe’s team.

In a remarkably close race to the Champions League, Nottingham Forest are only one point clear of League Cup winners Newcastle, who are currently seventh.

To clinch qualification, Newcastle will need to defeat Everton on May 25 in their final game of the season at St James’ Park.

Even though the Magpies had defeated Arsenal three times this season, leading scorer Alexander Isak’s absence was costly because he was not injured.

After the Arsenal keeper’s error-firing pass to Sandro Tonali had sparked the Newcastle attack, Bruno Guimaraes’ close-range strike was parried by David Raya.

After Anthony Gordon’s backheel opened up the Arsenal defense, Raya was called back to action to save Tino Livramento’s drive.

A shot that Leandro Trossard deflected just wide into the Newcastle area descended.

Thomas Partey’s header was impulsively tip over by Nick Pope from the corner that came out.

Harvey Barnes’ low drive from the edge of the area was being pushed away by Raya at full stretch.

The overworked Arsenal keeper saved another excellent save to stop Sven Botman’s follow-up from Dan Burn before using his foot to stop the shot with his foot.

After another poor move failed late in the first half, Arteta threw his arms up in disbelief and threw his arms in disbelief.

In a blow to the Gunners’ injured squad, Riccardo Calafiori took the place of French defender William Saliba at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Arsenal finally let go of their complacency and took the lead.

The midfielder lashed a superb first-time finish past Pope from the edge of the area as Martin Odegaard worked space for a pass to Rice.

Rice scored nine goals overall this season before Saka’s shot was blocked by Pope, who almost immediately had one.

Ben White’s stinging 20-yard strike that whistled just wide was the result of an appropriation of Rice’s style.

Emil Krafth was booked for a needless foul just 33 seconds after being substituted for the team, which was mounting Newcastle’s frustration.

Saka’s final 15 minutes of playing time with a hamstring injury saw him make his first appearance since February. Kai Havertz replaced him.

Havertz and Burn immediately exchanged blows and threw the ball at the German.

Pro-EU Nicusor Dan on course to beat hard-right rival in Romania election

Developing a Story

Nicusor Dan, a centrist mayor of Bucharest and a staunch supporter of NATO and the European Union, is on track to win the Romanian presidential election.

Dan won with 54.9 percent of the vote on Sunday, according to exit polls. His rival, George Simion, a radical nationalist, had a 45.1 percentile.

Simion quickly rejected the exit poll, claiming that his count estimates put him at 400,000 more votes than Dan.

Dan had pledged to fight widespread corruption and keep Romania firmly rooted in the European mainstream when he ran his campaign.

Turnout in the Sunday run-off was significantly higher, and it is likely to determine the outcome.

Later on Sunday, the official results are anticipated.

Romania experienced its worst political crisis in decades when the presidential election was postponed due to the cancellation of the original election.

Following accusations of electoral violations and Russian interference, a top court in Romania’s political landscape caused a resurgence after the previous election, in which far-right independent Calin Georgescu won the first-round polls.

Simion said he voted against the “humiliations to which our sisters and brothers have been subjected,” and he also said he did this at a Bucharest polling station on Sunday.

He said, “We voted against poverty and abuses.” “I voted for Romanians and Romania to decide our future,” he said. So, “Help us, God”!

Ratcliffe absence obscures the big issues at Man Utd

After their 3-0 Women’s FA Cup final defeat defeat by Chelsea, Manchester United’s media officer entered Marc Skinner’s post-match press conference in the bowels of Wembley Stadium after question number three.

“I don’t believe Jim questions need to be asked more.” They stated that their main concern is the game.

The issue was Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a minority owner of United, who had watched his men’s side lose to Chelsea on Friday at Stamford Bridge.

At Wembley, co-chairman Avie Glazer and technical director Jason Wilcox, as well as former chief executive David Gill, sat with chief executive Omar Berrada.

However, it seemed significant that Ratcliffe was absent. He pulls the football operation’s rules from the people in charge. Ratcliffe did not appear in the women’s team because Serena Williams was moving through the mixed zone towards the victors’ dressing room 15 minutes after Millie Bright had won the trophy.

When the TV cameras caught her during the game, Williams did not appear overly engaged. However, her husband, Alexis Ohanian, was unaware that he had just invested £20 million in the Chelsea women’s team, giving him an 8 to 10% stake in the club.

Naturally, Skinner was being asked why Ratcliffe wasn’t there. He continued to say that he was unaware.

It’s not his thing in some ways. Ruben Amorim would most likely not be able to provide any explanations as to why Ratcliffe did not play for the men’s team at Old Trafford on any given day.

“In all truth, I don’t know why he wasn’t here, but we were well represented, along with Jason and Omar Berrada,” Skinner said.

“I need diamonds to improve our situation.”

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

Important Old Trafford players complain that the focus is on Ratcliffe and United despite the fact that other significant Premier League clubs and their owners are not involved in their presence at women’s games.

Even a passing nod to the apparent hierarchy at Wembley was made to Skinner.

Before trying to reroute the conversation to his own club, with whom he is contracted until 2027, he said, “Let’s see how many times they fly over in the season for Chelsea.”

“In actuality, the investment in the team is necessary, not whether you are visible,” he said. We need to close the gap created by investing as a means of showing support.

However, the situation is not always straightforward.

Ratcliffe’s involvement is still questioned, but investment will remain a question.

In reality, the course has already been determined for the women’s side, and it doesn’t attempt to match the growing resources Chelsea spent putting forth to make Sonia Bompastor’s debut season a domestic triple-winning effort.

In the wake of the widely reported departures of England goalkeeper Mary Earps and forward Nikita Parris and the so-called substandard training facilities, United are still betrayed by the criticism they faced at the start of the season.

The club is hoping to complete a significant training ground upgrade, both for the men’s and women’s sides, by August, with hundreds of millions of dollars going into it.

They contend that this will enable them to maximize their potential.

Any mention of the word “recruitment” raises questions about Manchester United because of the problems on the men’s side because they have a clear goal.

Given that Phallon Tullis-Joyce, who was once United’s deputy, has been excellent all season and was outstanding at Wembley, making two brilliant first-half saves as United battled to keep their opponents at bay, it is true that whoever made the decision to let Earps go got it right.

Investments crucial, but optics not great.

Is a fight with Chelsea still possible?

Although there was much discussion about the Champions League, Skinner’s side faces dangers if they advance to the lucrative main draw. To pass the second qualifying round, they must first have to pass both the semi-final and the final. Inter Milan and Roma are well-known potential opponents, but Swedish side BK Hacken is also in the draw and reached the quarter-finals in 2023-24.

If United can survive that, they must defeat a heavyweight final-qualifying-round foe that might include Real Madrid, Paris FC, or Sporting Lisbon.

Officials at United believe their club is expanding. After all, it is only seven years old.

They were competing in their third successive FA Cup final. In the 74, 412 crowd, there were a lot of genuine United fans.

According to those officials, Leigh Sports Village’s attendances are comparable to those of any top-flight team playing outside of their home stadium. On average, they hover around 4,500.

They require more, though. It is no surprise that United’s women will play in this month’s controversial World Sevens tournament in Portugal as a club where the men’s team will travel to Asia for two games in order to make more money.

To maximize the available funds, all options will be explored.

Skinner is correct. Ratcliffe’s investment is what he needs, not to advance United’s women’s team.

However, “the optics” are not very good.

And it is not a negative having the ownership watching on, as Bompastor pointed out a while after Skinner had spoken.

She remarked, “It’s a big lift.” Everyone is involved in the women’s team when we discuss having the right support from the entire club.

It demonstrates to a woman that you belong in the appropriate club. You really want to include that back on the pitch to all of these people.

At Wembley, United engaged in a fierce battle. Even if they could no longer claim to deserve victory, there might have been a different outcome if they had taken chances at the start of each half.

Michael Jackson’s bodyguard says late pop star had ‘impossible’ run-ins with crazed fans

ExCLUSIVE: Simon Newton, Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard, has spoken of a time when fans were trying to clamber through security’s legs to reach the pop star.

The fans would go to great lengths, according to Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard.

Former bodyguard to the stars Simon Newton has revealed what it was really like being on Michael Jackson’s security team – describing the job as ‘impossible’.

Recalling an incident which saw crazed fans attempting to reach the superstar by crawling through Simon’s legs, the security professional admitted it was ‘scary’ for late star Michael.

Jackson’s statement, “Working with him was impossible; it was just consistent.” As we sit down for an exclusive interview in Cannes during the annual film festival, Simon says that fans would place black cabs on meters all day so they could jump in them as soon as they left.

They even tried to crawl under our legs to get to him, he adds, adding that it was a whole new level. People kept coming back after we divided into four cars. He didn’t feel as scared because he was being pulled from pillar to post, Simon says of the late singer. “He had so many people around him that he didn’t feel as scared,” he continued.

Alongside Michael, Simon’s former employers include Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora, Kendall Jenner and Halsey – all of whom he was solely responsible for as their bodyguard when they travelled from the US to the UK.

When asked whether Bella is down to earth or high maintenance, Simon describes the supermodel as “amazing” after working with her frequently, including during several London Fashion Week appearances.

He claims that “Bella was never very high maintenance, but she was always amazing.” Kendall was also incredible. We never had any issues, and I was quite liberal and wouldn’t let them do things, so they would always listen if I told them no when I told them.

Models and people like that are like you or me; they still get angry, they still laugh, and they still require food and sleep. The fundamentals remain unchanged, but they require more protection.

We’re curious as to whether he had a lot of downtime with the wealthy and famous. We didn’t get much downtime because the majority of it was photo shoots, but there would occasionally be a quiet day when we would shop or take a beach, “explains Simon.

Despite leaving his bodyguard job, Simon still runs his own security business, Askari Security, which provides security for major celebrity events, multi-million dollar homes, and TV streaming tycoons. While Simon Newton London, a clothing brand, is his main business.

However, Simon is currently trying his hand at acting and has recently returned to basics by studying in drama school, which he describes as “scary” as opposed to her potentially life-threatening work in the army and bodyguarding.

“I worked as a bodyguard and I worked in Afghanistan and Iraq for quite a long time, so obviously that’s quite dangerous, but it wasn’t as scary as acting school. Being out of my comfort zone used to mean It could get me killed, but now at least I know nothing is going to happen to me. I’m not a natural actor, but I’m not the worst and I really enjoy it,” he says.

However, Simon has just begun shooting his brand-new movie Retribution, which is scheduled to be released in November. He claims that because of his tough appearance, it’s difficult to avoid being cast as a “tough guy” character and wants to change.

Simon Newton
Simon left his job as a bodyguard for the stars and is now an actor.

I’m constantly typecast as a boxer, police officer, gangster, or something similar. I receive the same information, but I’m 46, so if they want to give me, “Simon continues.

However, Simon admits that he wants to “extend” himself and that James Bond is his career’s calling. And despite his overambitious leadership, he would prefer to play a smaller role in the franchise.
