Ana de Armas ‘warned’ over Tom Cruise’s link to Scientology and romance disasters

Rumours have been building for months that a romance could be blossoming between Hollywood stars Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise – but some fans are concerned there can only be disaster

Fans of Ana de Armas have expressed concern over the fact the Knives Out actress has been linked to action superstar Tom Cruise. The duo are tipped to be working together in a reboot of Days of Thunder, but rumours have been ignited that the pair have grown romantically close in recent weeks.

Ana is no stranger to dating high profile men – having been married to Spanish model Marc Clotet from 2011 until 2013, dated Ben Affleck from early 2020 until late 2021, and more recently been linked to the stepson of controversial Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. In recent months, Ana, 36, and Tom, 62, have fuelled speculation they have become more than just friends or colleagues.

The duo were spotted together on Valentine’s Day and in March were spotted sharing a helicopter in London. Sources have attempted to downplay any suggestion of a romance, however.

After they were spied seemingly enjoying a Valentine’s meal together, a source insisted to People that the pair were merely “discussing potential collaborations down the line.” They added that the pair “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.”

Fans have been left unconvinced, however, and many have taken to social media to comment about the apparent bond between the Hollywood stars. And many have expressed concern thanks to Tom’s dramatic, headline-grabbing past that has included multiple divorces, auditioned brides, and his connections to a controversial cult.

Tom’s past romances

While Tom has been considered a heartthrob since he rose to fame in the 1980s, it appears he is relatively unlucky in love – as he is three times divorced. The actor’s first wife was American actress Mimi Rogers, 69 – who he was married to in 1987 and divorced in 1990, with reports suggesting Mimi landed a settlement worth $4 million (£3 million).

He then married Australian actress Nicole Kidman in 1990 and for a decade the pair appeared to be one of the most rock solid unions in Hollywood. The pair starred in iconic thriller Eyes Wide Shut in 1999 and adopted two children – but the love burned out in the early 2000s and they divorced in 2001.

Wife number three was Dawson’s Creek icon Katie Holmes – with the couple tying-the-knot in 2006 after a year of dating and welcoming a daughter named Suri in April that same year. But the couple split in 2012 with their divorce finalised that same year.

Since then, Cruise has been linked to a number of women including British actress Hayley Atwell and Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova. He has also been linked to other A-listers over the decades including Cher, Heather Locklear and Penélope Cruz.

Reports have suggested that one of the main issues Tom has faced in terms of his romantic ambitions has been arguably his biggest love of all – the Church of Scientology, which has been blamed for detailing some of his relationships.

Cult of Scientology

Tom is said to have joined the Church of Scientology in 1986 after allegedly being introduced to the pseudoreligion by his first wife, Mimi Rogers. The organisation has been slammed as a cult by many and it was invented by science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard in 1954.

The secretive society reportedly sees members unlock different levels within the organisation by paying certain amounts of money to rise up through the ranks – while also allegedly handing over personal details. Many who have escaped the organisation have claimed they have been followed and intimidated by other members.

It has been suggested that Tom’s dedication to the organisation sparked the collapse of his marriage to Nicole – however the Aussie star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her request for divorce.

Similar reports have suggested that Scientology played a role in the end of Tom’s marriage to Katie. It has been suggested the Dawson’s Creek star demanded a divorce in order to protect their daughter from the organisation. While further startling reports suggested that Scientology rules dictated that Katie was forbidden from making any noise while giving birth to her daughter.

Relationship with kids

Tom is a father of three but is said to have a mixed relationship with his three children. He adopted son Connor, 30, and daughter Isabella Jane, 32, with second wife Nicole Kidman.

Tom and Connor are said to have a close relationship and are seen attending premieres and sporting events together. He is also close to his eldest daughter, Isabella, who hit out at accusations they were estranged.

However, it has been well documented that he is not close to his daughter Suri, who he shares with ex-wife number three, Katie Holmes. It was suggested Katie opted to divorce Tom in part to protect their daughter from Scientology – however, conflicting reports have suggested this was not the case.

While the ultimate details of the couple’s divorce have not been published, reports have suggested that Tom agreed to pay Katie $400,000 (£300,000) a year until Suri turned 18. It has also been reported that the Mission Impossible star will pay Suri’s college tuition costs.

Romantic audition claims

In 2012, Vanity Fair published a report that claiming that the Church of Scientology organised auditions where actresses were screened to be Tom’s girlfriend. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power star Nazanin Boniadi was one of the women who claimed to have been put through such an audition process.

Scarlett Johansson was dragged into the headlines when a former Scientologist claimed that she had been a star that auditioned to date the blockbuster actor – but she later vehemently denied such an accusation.

Johansson told Vanity Fair following the accusation: “The very idea of any person auditioning to be in a relationship is so demeaning. I refuse for anyone to spread the idea that I lack the integrity to choose my own relationships.”

Chesney Hawkes’ daughter ‘upset’ after failing to quash Celebrity Big Brother row

After fans criticized Mickey Rourke for not criticizing his shocking comment to JoJo Siwa, Chesney Hawkes’ daughter Jesse, she breaks her silence on the furious backlash against her father.

Celebrity Big Brother star Chesney Hawkes’ daughter Jesse has spoken out after fans criticised the singer for not stepping in during a controversial exchange between former housemate Mickey Rourke and JoJo Siwa on the show.

The row sparked backlash online after Hollywood actor Mickey, 72, made a controversial comment to JoJo about her sexuality, appearing to question her identity in a way that left viewers – and housemates – stunned.

The incident quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the series so far, with fans taking to social media to express their outrage. Some accused Chesney, 53, of failing to defend JoJo or challenge Mickey’s remarks, especially after earlier referencing that his daughter identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

However, Jesse, age 21, defended her father by sat down for an exclusive conversation with us and argued that viewers frequently don’t get the full picture.

Many people reacted incredulously at Mickey because he didn’t speak up when he told JoJo that he was a part of the community, even my dad, who had previously mentioned that I, his kid, was one.

You see 45 minutes of his 24-hour day, Jesse said, “but you don’t see everything. He’s the type of person who would have intervened if necessary.” He would have apologised.

The student at the university acknowledged that it’s difficult to watch her father face online criticism for that particular incident.

Jesse continued, “I really don’t like people saying bad things about my dad on that subject or saying I wouldn’t like him because I wouldn’t,” adding, “It was making me angry because they don’t know what happened there.”

Chesney, best known for his 90s chart-topper The One and Only, has become a hit with viewers during his time in the iconic house so far – thanks to his candid confessions, cheeky sense of humour and free-spirited approach – including stripping off on camera.

Jesse, who was present to let her father go on launch night, described the emotional impact of seeing her father on screen. She explained that because she attends university, she doesn’t see him that frequently. It was very emotional to watch him enter that stage.

Even though she secretly wants him out of the house so they can get back together, she is also incredibly proud of how far he’s come. She joked with us, “Jokes aside, I want him to go far,” and that “part of me wants him to be evicted so I can see him once more.” He appears to be very content.

And what if Jesse, a student, entered the house with a message? That I’m so proud of him and stressed out over my dissertation!

Alcaraz beats De Minaur to reach semis in Barcelona

With a straight-sets win over Alex de Minaur, top seed Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the Barcelona Open semi-finals.

Spanish fifth seed De Minaur defeated Australian seventh seed 7-5, 6-3, in an hour and 40 minutes.

After Stefanos Tsitipas retired hurt in just the third game of their match, the world number two will now face Frenchman Arthur Fils.

Alcaraz won the Monte Carlo title last week after defeating world number 14 Fils, who is 20 years old, in three sets.

Alcaraz broke the decisive break in the 12th game of the first set against De Minaur before recovering and making the decisive break.

The 21-year-old broke only once in the sixth game with his serve in the second set, which was more dominant.

Alcaraz said, “I was struggling a little bit mentally with the serve, and I started quite badly with it.”

“I think I improved significantly after the first few games with my serve,” he said. I began to think positively once more and sat down. The first set was extremely tight, and Alex aggressively started playing.

I’m so happy I won the first set, and I’m so happy I played some fantastic tennis in the second.

At the conclusion of the second game, four-time runner-up Tsitipas appeared uneasy right off the bat against Fils, who was then taken for an off-court evaluation.

He retired while 0-2, 30-40, and returned with only five more points.

In each set, the defending champion and second-seeded Ruud was broken by the 13-year-old world number 13 Rune.

Klopp ‘Happy’ In New Job Despite Real Madrid Rumours: Agent

Despite rumors linking him to a return to management at Real Madrid, Jurgen Klopp’s agent said on Friday. “Very happy” in his current position at Red Bull.

In January, the former Liverpool manager took over a number of clubs, including RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls, and Bragantino in Brazil. He became Red Bull’s global head of soccer.

Real Madrid’s quarter-final defeat this week at Arsenal in the Champions League has sparked rumors that Carlo Ancelotti will leave at the end of the season.

Klopp is one of the names the Spanish giants want to fill in the Bernabeu dugout, according to German media.

His agent Marc Kosicke responded to questions about the rumors, saying Klopp, 57, was enjoying his new job.

Kosicke told Sky Deutschland, “Jurgen is very happy with his new role with Red Bull.”

Zsolt Low, the coach of RB Leipzig, said he “could not imagine” Klopp moving to Real Madrid, adding that the German was “very happy in the job.”

Klopp’s impact was praised by Low, who claimed that he had demonstrated his ability to bring a group of 40, 50, and 60 people together.

He adds “unprecedented value” to his expertise, personality, and energy.

Klopp left each top-flight club on his own accord, which is unusual for a top-flight manager to do in a 23-year career with Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and Mainz.

Low said, “He’s given 100 percent, no matter where he’s been,” adding that he’s stayed and completed the job no matter where he is. He values a clean exit, so it’s important.

Field and Miski give Wigan derby win over Saints

St. Helens (2) 14

Despite a strong St. Helens comeback in the second half, Jai Field and Abbas Miski each scored two tries to win the Wigan Warriors’ Good Friday game.

The reigning champions took an 18-2 lead early in the second half thanks to Field, the Super League’s top try scorer, who scored either side of a Miski score.

Both teams made errors in a tense encounter, but Lewis Murphy’s brilliant finish in the corner and Agnatius Paasi’s outstanding try brought them back within four points.

The reigning champions have now won three straight games to move two points clear of the Robins, and they made a strong statement by outperforming their former foes from Billinge Hill when they faced their old foes from the other side of Billinge Hill.

The two teams traded penalties in a tense opening fought at the Brick Community Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 25, 000 spectators. Video referee Liam Rush scored a try after noticing that Tyler Dupree had blocked George Delaney’s attempted tackle.

Field nailed a try that did, timing his run so perfectly that Bevan French’s exquisite lobbed kick and score were perfect.

When the powerful Harry Smith unleashed a warning kick, Wigan flipped the screw, and Miski had a telling edge that went backwards and extended their lead.

By attempting a silly offload deep within his own territory, Paasi gave Wigan what appeared to be the winning try. Smith sent Field racing through for his second try because The Warriors were brutal.

Saints appeared finished, but they rallied well to put on a grand ending with Joe Batchelor limping off with an apparent hamstring injury and Jon Bennison needing a head injury assessment.

When one from Liam Byrne gave them a chance, Murphy made an uncharacteristic error that he made when he made a spectacular leap in the corner.

When Jake Wardle also spilled the ball in front of his own posts, Paasi made up for his earlier error by powering over despite being decorated by three tacklers. Saints went surge forwards.

Peet reaction to “Great learning”

Matty Peet, the head coach for Wigan, told BBC Radio Manchester:

When you consider the time when we had to ride out the pressure, it’s great learning for us. The lads resisted the fact that the stadium was up, and eventually it swung back our way thanks to their selfless deeds.

You look back on it as two points at the end of the season, but we are aware that it is inspirational for our supporters, for the people of these two towns, on Easter weekend, and that it means a lot to the players.

Paul Wellens, the coach of St. Helens, told BBC Radio Merseyside:

“The way we started the game for the first 40 minutes is a little frustrating,” I said. We put ourselves under a lot of pressure by making fundamental unforced errors, and if you do it against a Wigan team with players like Bevan French and Jai Field who can cause you harm, you put yourself under unnecessary stress.

The team’s perseverance kept the task at hand, and I was very proud of that. Although it’s difficult to get 18-2 down at Wigan, we went to the game at that point, and I left feeling confident that we had a chance in the end, which it wasn’t.

It boils down to individual lapses in concentration, and they handled the wet conditions better than we did.

Wigan: Field, Miski, Eckersley, Wardle, Wardle, Marshall, Marshall, French, Smith, Byrne, Leeming, Walters, Nsemba, Farrell, Ellis,

O’Neill, Forber, Dupree, and Hill are the exchanges.

St. Helens: Sailor, Bennison, Whitley, Percival, Murphy, Welsby, Whitby, Walmsley, Mbye, Lees, Sironen, Batchelor, Knowles,

Liverpool title win would be ‘so special’ – Bradley

Getty Images

Conor Bradley says it would be a “dream come true” to help Liverpool clinch the Premier League title this season.

The 21-year-old Northern Ireland international, who was part of side that won the League Cup last season, has featured in the past two games for Arne Slot after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for four league matches.

Liverpool are 13 points ahead of Arsenal in the title race and will be crowned champions if they win two of their remaining six games.

“It would be really special if we can get over the line,” Bradley told BBC Sport NI.

“Whenever you join a club like Liverpool you dream of winning the Premier League.

Liverpool could clinch the title as early as Sunday should they beat Leicester City and Arsenal lose to Ipswich Town earlier that afternoon.

Bradley, though, does not want to get caught up in the permutations.

“We have just got to keep playing our football,” added the full-back, who has made 14 Premier League appearances this season.

“We are top of the league for a reason, because we have played really good football, and hopefully if we can do that for a few more games we should have it won and I am sure there would be great celebrations if we do it too.

“It’s been a bit of a frustrating year for me with injuries, but I am really happy to be back and back with the team, and hopefully I can help as much as I can and bring the Premier League home.”

Despite his injuries, Bradley’s performances have again drawn praise this season, most notably in a 2-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid that featured a crunching tackle on French star Kylian Mbappe.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold possibly leaving at the end of the season when his contract expires, Bradley could become even more important to Liverpool in the seasons ahead and the 23-time capped international has an unwavering desire to be at the Reds.

“It’s my dream club,” he said.

“I am a Liverpool fan all my life so I am enjoying my time here.

“I just want to keep working really hard and keep doing well for the club and keep bringing trophies home if possible.”

Bradley, who is involved in ongoing contract talks himself, was thrilled to see Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk recently sign contract extensions to remain at Anfield, especially after months of speculation.

“It’s really good for the likes me because they are putting faith in the club and they know the club is going in the right direction,” he said.

“To play with players of [their] calibre is a privilege.

‘It shows me that hard work pays off’

Rory McIlroy with the Masters trophyGetty Images

As he nears his own memorable triumph, Bradley added that he has taken inspiration from golfer Rory McIlroy’s success at the Masters last weekend.

The County Tyrone native, a keen golfer himself, watched his fellow sportsman from Northern Ireland claim the green jacket on television and was struck by McIlroy’s determination in completing the career Grand Slam.

“Rory’s a massive inspiration. I think what Rory did last week was unbelievable, what he did was so special, so amazing to complete the Grand Slam,” he said.

“It shows me that hard work pays off. He been trying for 11 years to get it done.
