Gemma Atkinson branded ‘goals’ after hitting out at cruel body-shamers

Fans were blown away by a number of swimming pool photos when Hollyoaks legend Gemma Atkinson and her partner Gorka took a trip to Tenerife with their two children.

Hollyoaks alum Gemma Atkinson has floored fans with some sunny holiday shots. The actress has just said goodbye to Tenerife after a getaway with her family, and shared a glimpse inside the idyllic trip.

Gemma, 40, shares daughter Mia, five, and son Thiago, one, with Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez, and the whole crew was present for the trip overseas. I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Gemma shared some bikini pool snaps as she and the family jetted back home from Spain – Gorka’s homeland – and while she gushed over how great the holiday had been, her followers were more wowed by her very toned figure.

In the photos shared on Instagram, Hits Radio presenter Gemma was photographed as she soaked up the sun while standing in a swimming pool. The former glamour model had her hair tied back in a messy bun, and smiled widely in a simple black bikini that showed off her enviable abs.

Mia, daughter of Thiago and little Thiago, sat in the watery photo shoot, stumbling over in goggles, and gave Gemma a hug. The soap star’s post was called “Adiós Tenerife.”

“Vitamin D, excellent nutrition, excellent sleep, lots of swimming, and lots of laughter.” Just what we all needed, she continued, adding a sun, a palm tree, and a wave emoji, before concluding, “Until next time.”

Fans were quick to praise Gemma for her “goals” in the comments section of the cheery, healthy holiday photos. One person praised the “shelving figure, hard work shows,” while another praised Gemma as being “so beautiful and natural.” You have mother goals, body goals, and life goals, a third fan said. You’re amazing,” along with a number of heart-emojis.

Gemma’s well-received bikini snaps come after she admitted that she was bodyshamed by bullying trolls after giving birth to Thiago. “A few people messaged and said, ‘I thought you’d be in shape quicker; you’re so into your training; I’m surprised it’s taken you 10 months,’” she said last December.

She continued to fight back and didn’t allow the hate to grip her, though. Why would you take what someone says personally if, as my mother used to say, they still say that? “You can’t take someone’s words on board because you walk around with a swollen head,” Gemma said.

Gemma’s getaway comes after a long break from soaps, but she’s by no means living a life of leisure, particularly considering her and Gorka’s clashing schedules. During an exclusive chat with the Mirror, the radio presenter explained that she’d be very keen to get back to Hollyoaks or Emmerdale, but the timing wasn’t quite right with two young kids.

“I would love to go back to acting again, 100%, I would love to do a one off drama where there was a start date and an end date, so I could plan childcare around it,” Gemma said.

“My partner Gorka, he starts Strictly Come Dancing from July, so from July to Christmas, he’s kind of wherever his partner is based, if he has a partner. So it’s kind of all up in the air. So to go back to a soap wouldn’t really be realistic because the hours are so few and far between, you’re either in 12 hours a day or you’re in two hours a day, your schedule can change at the drop of a hat.

She continued, “I loved my time on all the soaps; it’s where I’m now because of them, but now that I’ve got kids, I just wouldn’t be able to commit, regrettably.”

Israel bombs Beirut; President Aoun calls for international pressure

The Israeli attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs comes after it issues an evacuation order, marking the third Israeli offensive against the Lebanese capital since a late November ceasefire was in effect.

After the Sunday strike, a huge cloud of smoke erupted over the area. No immediate notification of the casualties.

Joseph Aoun, the president of Lebanon, criticized the airstrike and demanded that Israel be forced to halt its attacks in the name of France and the United States, who are the guarantors of the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire on November 27. In recent weeks and months, Israel has attacked the capital and southern Lebanon in addition to breaking the truce.

Aoun claimed that Israel is “real dangers to the security” of the region by escalating tensions and undermining stability in Lebanon.

According to the Israeli military, the attack in Beirut “adopted an infrastructure where Hezbollah kept precision missiles” in storage. It failed to provide supporting evidence. Following the Israeli attack, no additional explosions were reported.

Local media outlets have published video that was immediately captured during the bombardment. Al Jazeera has checked this video:

“Damage is widespread”

Zeina Khodr, a journalist for Al Jazeera in Beirut, reported that the site had been targeted a short while ago, but there was much chaos and that we were told to leave.

“The damage was extensive, affecting both nearby structures as well. She continued, “Cars were damaged, windows were blown out, and glass was on the floor.”

According to Khodr, “This strike did come with a warning but without any provocation.” Since Israel and Hezbollah made a ceasefire in Beirut back in November, the southern suburb of the city has been hit before, but this time there was no rocket fire. So people in this country worry that Israel is changing the engagement rules, saying that there are no longer any red lines and that this could start an escalation.

Pinging the intelligence system

The Israeli attack on Beirut and the subsequent warning, according to Elias Hanna, a retired Lebanese army general, may have been intended to gather information about Hezbollah.

According to Hanna, this process is known as “pinging the system.”

He said, “You send the warning if you have information about specific individuals or organizations,” and you’ll see how these leaders or officials will respond. Do they intend to relocate?

According to Hanna, the operation could confirm or refute certain information, creating a “win-win” situation for intelligence gathering.

Israeli drones and fighter jets regularly bombarded Beirut’s southern suburbs, where Hezbollah has a lot of influence and support, throughout the year-long conflict. Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah was one of the top Hezbollah figures killed by Israel.

Deff Leppard’s Rick Savage’s son becomes model as he fronts huge fashion campaign

Rick Savage, a star of Def Leppard, and his son have a fashion line together. The pair is currently popular in the fashion industry after Madonna’s son criticizes “nobody.”

Scott Savage has launched a fashion label with his rock star father(Image: YouTube)

The son of a well-known rock band has emerged as the most recent model to emerge in the public eye. The chart-topping band Def Leppard is well known to music fans.

Since 1979, the group, which is led by singer Joe Elliott, has produced numerous hits, including Pour Some Sugar on Me, Let’s Get Rocked, and Love Bites. Rick Allen, guitarist Phil Collen, fellow guitarist Vivian Campbell, and bassist Rick Savage, who also sings in the background vocals, make up the band’s other members.

Since 2004, Rick and Paige Hannon have three children, including son Scott Savage, an emerging model. His father has encouraged Scott’s entry into the limelight by working with the boys on a new campaign.

Overnight Angels Crew is a new fashion brand which is a joint venture between Rick and Scott – and the pair have been doing their best to show off the chic collection of sport-tinged designs. The official Instagram page of the brand has shown the father and son dressed up in items from the collection.

Soctt posed against a wall with his chart-topping father in a bomber jacket in a snap. The image’s caption reads “@scottsavage__rocking our iconic College Bomber Jacket, where timeless style meets contemporary sustainability” ().

The caption continued, “It features a ribbed collar, hem, and cuffs, plus two side pockets and a snap dome closure, and is made from 100% recycled polyester with quilted padding.” Built to last and designed for comfort.

One fan wrote, “Nice picture of father and son,” and the designs appear to have been a hit immediately. You two are working together, and I’m so happy about it. I’d like to see even more of the Rick Savage line. However, the o. c. rocks could use a few more pieces for women. You’re doing great, Chill @scottsavage__! “!

The brand’s roots are illuminated by the official Overnight Angels Crew website. According to the About Us page, “The brand name was born out of a nostalgia for Savage that was evoked in Ian Hunter’s song title, Overnight Angels,” in 1977.

Savage was at a crossroads in his own life this summer of 1977. Savage made the decision to pay homage to that poignant period of his life by creating a brand that he hopes will inspire others with its grimy attitude and reminiscence.

The statement continues, “Still working closely with Nick Holland, the go-to fashion expert for all Rockstars, to demonstrate that the rock star and his son are taking a hands-on approach to business.”

“Holland founded the successful clothing line Pretty Green with Oasis’ Liam Gallagher. He brings with him a wealth of experience, bringing to life a luxurious brand grounded in the disruptive and evocative nature of the designs.”

The company sells a wide range of clothing, including bandanas to hoodies to caps. Prices range from £245 to £120 for sweatshirts, which Scott created for the bomber jacket.

After Madonna’s son, Rocco Ritchie, made comments that raised questions about nepo babies, Rick and Scott’s business caused a stir. The 24-year-old artist, who is also the son of Guy Ritchie, made fun of Fantastic Man magazine.

He continued, “I always find it funny that some of the most beautiful cathedrals ever constructed would be constructed by the same generation generation.” And now, if you are born into a family, don’t you start looking at nepo babies because they aren’t the most interesting couple, are they?

Gloucester thrash Exeter with 13 tries in record-breaking win

Gallagher Premiership

Gloucester (43) 79

Cons: Carreras 6, Anscombe, Williams, Ford-Robinson, Wade, Singleton, 3 Tries: Clement, Blake, Ludlow, Harris, S. Atkinson 2, Ludlow, Harris, S. Atkinson,

Exeter (7) 17

Gloucester moved up to fifth place in the Premiership with a club-record 13 tries in a win over Exeter.

With seven first-half tries scored at 43-7 at the break and earning a bonus point inside the 20 minutes, the Cherry and Whites completely outperformed their opponents.

Within 10 minutes of Exeter becoming embarrassed, Jamal Ford-Robinson and Christian Wade increased the try total to nine.

The hosts recorded their first Premiership victory, overtaking a 64-0 victory over Bath three years ago, by scoring four more tries before Jack Singleton scored a hat-trick.

Exeter’s top flight loss was its heaviest, surpassing its 55-12 defeat to Sale 14 years ago.

After Bordeaux broke their record in European competition with a score of 69-17, Rob Baxter’s side’s team lost to their own team for the second time this season.

Seb Atkinson goes in to score a tryFeatures of Rex

Exeter were a shadow of that team as the hosts repeatedly cut through them as they had been buoyed by a disappointing defeat last week at league leaders Bath.

After Gareth Anscombe had freed Santi Carreras, Jack Clement was forced over from a five-meter lineout in the sixth minute.

Eight minutes later, Gloucester’s pack drilled into the 22 and forced Seb Blake to cross from the resultant close-range lineout, which was the result of Exeter’s maul defense.

After the first two tries, the backs’ fine passing set the tone for the next two. After Tomos Williams, Christian Wade, and Ruan Ackermann connected to set up the Scotland center, Lewis Ludlam beat Ben Hammersley with a fine passing move to force a grubber kick for the third.

After 26 minutes, Exeter’s defense struggled, and it was only then that Seb Atkinson strode through a massive gap 22 meters out to score the fifth try for Anscombe.

Exeter’s chances of entering Gloucester’s red zone were limited to 32 minutes when Paul Brown-Bampoe almost equaled theirs before losing the ball, but Josh Hodge at least got his team started scoring from 22 meters in the second half.

However, Exeter’s defense faltered once more as a result of Williams’ lovely looping pass, which the Welsh scrum-half completed with just before half-time for the seventh try.

Five minutes into the second period, Exeter made five changes, but Wade made a minute more difficult when he was stopped just outside the Exeter line, only for Ford-Robinson to score down from an inch or two out a few minutes later.

When Carreras collected his chipped kick for his 90th try of the season, Wade pushed closer to breaking the Premiership try record, and Atkinson scored his second try just as Brown-Bampoe had already squandered it for his second.

The former European champions’ 11th try was broken off by Singleton for the second half’s 18th try, and Gloucester’s 70-point conversion dotted down in the corner five minutes later as the match progressed to a Premiership championship tie.

When Exeter did mistakenly believe they had scored a try, a forward pass was blocked, and Hodge was denied shortly after Singleton’s second score, with Will Haydon-Wood sin-binned for a tackle off the ball moments later.

George Skivington, Gloucester’s head coach, told BBC Radio Gloucester:

“It’s undoubtedly a good day for us,” he said. The good balance of the tries is what made it most pleasing to me.

We felt that our game wasn’t quite in line with our previous couple of weeks away from home.

“But I thought today the boys attacked very well and successfully used the scrum and the maul,” he continued.

We must have the balance of the game in order to compete, even though we’re a really good attacking team.

Rob Hunter, the head coach for Exeter, told BBC Radio Devon: “

That is my lowest point in my many years coaching.

You can’t put any gloss on that, they say. That’s a lot of work, and at this point, it’s a real kick in the teeth.

Nothing really held up and we lost momentum in that game, and we didn’t even have a foothold in it.

You must take responsibility for what happens when you put on the shirt, which will be our first point of contact, and we must then attempt to talk through the whys and hows.

Gloucester: Carreras, Wade, Harris, S. Atkinson, Morris, Anscombe, Williams, Rapava Ruskin, Blake, Fasogbon, Clark, Thomas, Clement, Ludlow (capt), Ackermann

Replacements: Singleton, Ford-Robinson, Gotovtsev, Jordan, Clarke, Englefield, C Atkinson, and Cotgreave.

Hodge, Hammersley, Slade, Hawkins, Brown-Bampoe, Skinner, Armstrong, Sio, Yeandle, Street, Tuima, Jenkins (capt), E Roots, Vintcent, Fisilau, and others are in Exeter.

Chelsea close in on WSL title – when could they win it?

Getty Images

Chelsea could win their sixth successive Women’s Super League title on Wednesday.

They lead Arsenal by six points and Manchester United by eight with three games remaining.

Those three sides are well-placed to qualify for Europe, but Manchester City are still in the mix after a win at Leicester on Sunday.

The other end of the table is sorted with Crystal Palace relegated on Sunday after their 7-1 thrashing by West Ham.

How do things stand at the top?

A graphic showing the WSL's top six: 1 Chelsea, 2 Arsenal, 3 Manchester United, 4 Manchester City, 5 Liverpool, 6 Brighton

There have been no signs of teething problems for Chelsea this season under new boss Bompastor, as their league dominance – established under predecessor Emma Hayes – has continued.

Unbeaten in the WSL this season, Chelsea have 51 points from a possible 57, although two draws in March allowed closest challengers Arsenal to get within three points and Manchester United within five.

The highest total Arsenal could finish with is 54 points, meaning Chelsea need four more to guarantee the title.

Because of their Champions League semi-final participation, Chelsea’s WSL game at Manchester United has been rearranged for 30 April.

They could clinch the title with victory over United (20:15 BST kick-off) should Arsenal drop points against Aston Villa earlier that evening (18:00).

What about the race for Champions League?

Manchester City, who challenged Chelsea until the final day last season, are now mathematically out of the title race and only have slim hopes of achieving a Champions League spot.

Even if City win all their remaining games – including against their neighbours – one win from United’s other two matches would be enough for them to finish third.

From next season, the Women’s Champions League format is changing, with the number of teams earning direct qualification expanding from four teams to nine.

The winners of the WSL will directly qualify, along with the champions from the other five top-ranked national associations.

The runners-up of the two top-ranked associations – set to be France and Germany – will also be guaranteed direct qualification, along with the previous season’s winners.

As it stands, the WSL champions will go directly into the league phase with the teams in second and third going into the qualifying rounds.

What does the Opta ‘supercomputer’ suggest?

Opta’s ‘supercomputer’ prediction model has Chelsea as nailed-on favourites to lift the WSL trophy – they are projected as champions in 97. 96% of simulations.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have been given a sliver of hope, with Opta giving them a 2. 04% chance of winning the title.

How were Crystal Palace relegated?

Women's Super League bottom six: 7. West Ham 23, 8. Everton 20, 9. Tottenham 19, 10. Aston Villa 16, 11. Leicester 16, 12. Crystal Palace 9

Crystal Palace will make an instant return to the Championship after their relegation was confirmed by a home thrashing by West Ham.

They have won two games, drawn three but lost 15 in the first season in the top-flight.

They are the first team to be relegated in their debut season in the Women’s Super League.

O’Sullivan & Brecel one frame each from last eight

Media PA

With a 12-point lead over Chinese duo Pang Junxu and Ding Junhui, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Luca Brecel are both 12 frames away from reaching the 2025 World Snooker Championship quarter-finals, respectively.

O’Sullivan, 49, and Brecel lifted the trophy at the Crucible two years ago, while Brecel is aiming to win it for what would be a record-setting eighth time in modern history.

When their matches resume on Monday at 19:00 BST, both men will be hoping to clinch quick victories.

O’Sullivan led 6-2 going into the second session, but qualifier Pang pulled two frames back after 87 and 62. O’Sullivan quickly regained his form on Sunday, winning the remaining six frames with runs of 79, 80, 105, 135, and 62.

One of the Crucible’s most notable sessions was led by Belgian Brecel on Saturday evening. He lost the opening frame before winning seven games in a row with a sensational display of attacking snooker after arriving at the venue only 25 minutes before play was scheduled to begin on a private jet from his home country.

On Sunday, he continued where he had stopped.

Trump wins, but he still has two tons of the prize of £100,000.

Judd TrumpMedia PA

Judd Trump, the world’s number one, and fellow former world champion Shaun Murphy, the other two, each had a 5-3 advantage in their final-16 match, but they only managed one chance to earn a £100,000 bonus.

Trump, 35, rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 down to win the final three frames of the session before missing a pot on the yellow that would have allowed him to take a century break when he was 98 in frame eight.

He has 98 centuries this season, and he is the only player to have reached 100 tons this year, which would award him a prize of £100,000.

As the match resumes at 19:00 BST, before the final session begins on Monday at 13:00 BST, in the best-of-25 match, Trump will have eight more frames to play.

Only two campaigners, Neil Robertson and Donald Trump, have recorded 100 century breaks; 103 in 2013 and 103 in 2018 and 102 in 2019.

Most century breaks occur in a single season.

Zhao remarks, “I’m so proud of myself,” after winning.

Zhao XintongGetty Images

With a 13-10 victory over Lei Peifan, China’s Zhao Xintong made it to the quarter-finals for the first time in his career.

In the second session, Zhao, 27, potted nine reds and nine blacks before his break ended with a score of 72. He was on course for a maximum 147 in the opening frame of the day.

Lei, who had previously defeated 2024 world champion Kyren Wilson in round one, threatened a comeback in frame 20 before he was 41-12 ahead in frame 20.

However, Zhao claimed the victory with a 54-minute break, which would have already eliminated former world champion Mark Allen and 2010 world champion Neil Robertson, who has already qualified for a quarter-final against England’s Chris Wakelin.

He declared, “I’m so happy that this is my first quarter-finale, and I’m so proud of myself.” He [Lei] faced Kyren Wilson in the first round, so I knew I wasn’t going to win and needed to be strong.

“I just want to go through the Crucible because it’s very nice, the crowd is nice, and I want to stay longer.” I need to try my best and enjoy it. I’m very confident in playing Chris Wakelin because this is my first time.

Zhao, a former UK Championship champion, was one of 10 Chinese players who received bans for their involvement in match-fixing in June 2023.

He was the only player to return after serving a 20-month ban and accepting accusations of being a party to another player who had fixed two matches and had himself bet on matches. He had not immediately thrown a match.
