TV presenter Angellica Bell has announced a new role, with her sharing excitement over the opportunity. It comes amid rumours that she could compete on Strictly Come Dancing after taking part in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Angellica, 49, was chosen this week to serve as the Girlguiding organization’s ambassador. She has been chosen to assist in the launch of 72 additional badges across Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers, which will be available to girls between the ages of four and eight.

The range of new badges, co-designed by more than 20,000 girls and volunteers, will be added to and replaced traditional ones, as reported by PA. They will reward participants for activities including critiquing food, mechanics and party hosting.

The badges, which are given to girls who complete a certain task on their uniform, are broken up into sections to promote self-assurance, self-knowledge, and adventure. 11 000 girls from 753 Girlguiding units in the UK helped try out the designs, which totaled more than 4 000.

The developments were made in response to requests for more options, activities to promote climate change, boost confidence, and promote people’s interests. Different age groups can earn various badges, ranging from interests to skill-building to unit meeting activities.

Rainbows, the youngest, are inspired by their environmental impact, their discovery and sharing their “guiding sparkle,” and why they are so passionate about Girlguiding.

While Brownies have a modified version of the “hostess” badge called “Celebrations,” which can be earned by hosting a party and providing food, activities, and decorations. Instead, guides can customise, recycle, and repurpose objects to earn the “thrift” badge.

Angellica, who has been appointed as an ambassador to help launch the initiative, wants to inspire girls to enjoy themselves while facing challenges. She remarked, “It was a real blast to try out the new badges with Girlguiding staff members.”

I have seen first-hand how crucial it is for girls to engage in non-traditional learning while also having fun. I’m very excited to be joining Girlguiding as an ambassador because I enjoy challenging challenges and care about making sure girls’ voices are heard.

Angellica added: “Girlguiding offers a safe and welcoming space for all girls, and I am so impressed by the work they do to build girls’ confidence and wellbeing, whilst tackling important issues impacting their lives such as online harm, sexism and misogyny. In a world where the voices of girls and young women are not always fairly heard, I am proud to stand alongside Girlguiding and will be using my voice to speak up for equality and to show that girls can do anything.”

The Royal Horticultural Society, the Children’s Book Project, Bletchley Park, and the Wellbeing of Women charity collaborated to create the badge activities.

The launch of these new badges is a significant milestone for Girlguiding, said acting chief executive Amanda Azeez. They were created by girls, specifically for girls, which is crucial to keeping them in line with their needs and wants.

“It was incredible and really inspiring the girls and volunteers responded to the consultation process. I’m looking forward to seeing the effects these activities have on girls, boosting their confidence, and empowering them to know they can do anything, because there is something for everyone among the new badges.

Angellica’s latest role comes amid speculation that she could take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. She’s among the celebrities rumoured for the BBC show, which is set to return to screens in the coming months.

The latest line-up rumours come after Angellica, who rose to fame as a presenter on CBBC, competed on the most recent series of the celebrity edition of Big Brother. She’s previously competed on TV shows like Celebrity MasterChef.

More than 15, 000 girls contributed to the 72 new interest badges created by Girlguiding. There is something for every girl, from entomology to interior design, to My Voice to Laugher. Visit Girlguiding for more information about volunteering. org. to promote girls’ potential.

After moving from Brentford for an initial sum of $65 million, Bryan Mbeumo claims to have “the club of his dreams.”

The 25-year-old has a five-year contract with the option to extend it by 12 months.

After signing left-back Diego Leon and forward Matheus Cunha, he is Ruben Amorim’s third summer signing.

One of the longest-running sagas of the summer is now over with Mbeumo’s decision, seven weeks after United’s initial bid for the Cameroon international.

Mbeumo remarked, “I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams, the team whose shirt I wore growing up, as soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United.”

“It’s better for me than it was yesterday,” I say. I am aware of my spirit and character, having studied under Ruben Amorim and working alongside world-class players, to advance to a higher level.

Everyone mentioned the future plans and the environment being created here to me, and everyone else said it was exciting. We are all very eager to compete for the biggest trophies because this is a huge club with an incredible stadium and amazing fans.

At the beginning of June, United made their first offer for Mbeumo, which was worth an overall £55 million.

Before coming to an agreement with their third offer, they had to submit a second bid of $ 62.5 million at the end of that month.

Since joining Brentford from Troyes in 2019, Mbeumo has scored 70 goals and contributed 51 assists in 242 games.

In the Premier League last season, he recorded both career highs with 20 goals and seven assists.

Bryan is among the most productive players in England for the past three seasons thanks to his remarkable consistency and goals and assists record, according to United director of football Jason Wilcox.

Bryan’s faith in our project and his desire to join the club demonstrated that he was ideal for Manchester United and the culture we are fostering.

With Mbeumo leaving, he surpasses Al-Ahli’s £40 million purchase of Ivan Toney in August 2024, making him the Bees’ biggest ever sale.

Bryan is a fantastic player who has worked hard for us for six seasons, and I want to thank him for it on behalf of everyone at Brentford, said Bees football director Phil Giles.

It has been a pleasure for everyone who has seen Bryan develop as a player and person since he first arrived at our company as a teenager. He has been a part of some of our greatest days and has won over our fans.

“There is always a moment when a player should move on, and for Bryan, it’s now.” We are delighted that he will be able to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Justin Bieber addresses drug use in cryptic social media post amid fan concern

Justin Bieber, the singer from Canada, has reposted a video of DMX refusing to drink without giving an explanation, which has sparked speculation about his own take on drugs.

Justin Bieber has subtly addressed drug use on Instagram this week by sharing a throwback clip of the late DJ DJ Iyanla refusing sobriety in a 2013 episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life.

When questioned about living clean, DMX responded, “No weed, no drinking, no nothing.” What makes me “”? He continued, “I believe I’m exactly where I need to be with God.”

The video, which was originally posted by Los Angeles dispensary Gassy, was unaccompanied by any captions or explanations by Bieber, 31. The singer frequently posted images of marijuana, though always within the scope of California’s permitted recreational use, and had previously been open about his Christian beliefs and relationship with Churchome pastor Judah Smith.

This year, Bieber’s health has raised questions, but his representatives have continued to refute rumors of hard drug use, telling TMZ in February, “The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true.”

Following a significant change in his personal life, the baby hitmaker is said to be focused on fatherhood and music. Bieber has previously discussed drug use in a post.

Back in March, he left fans more concerned than ever after seeming to take drugs in an Instagram post – with the star also appearing to have ditched his wedding ring in the snaps at the time amid concerns about his marriage to Hailey Bieber.

In his past post, Justin shared six very similar photos of himself appearing to use a bong to smoke marijuana. The shots showed the Canadian singer sitting on a bike, with several quad bikes parked behind him.

The singer alternated between lighting the bong and releasing enormous streams of smoke as he made a clear one at the time to make the photos’ stars. As a backup for the poor quality photos, he chose the song “Hits from the Bong” by Cypress Hill to play in the background.

It comes after Bieber surprised fans by dropping a new album titled SWAG. The Baby singer released new music, with tracks including Therapy Sessions, Dadz Love and Devotion, amongst others, last week.

Justin and his collaborators sang and expressed their emotions throughout his emotional album, which some fans have labeled as his best work to date.

Justin’s erratic social media posts have recently caused a stir among fans, and there have even been rumors that he has broken up with his wife Hailey Bieber. He shared a photo of them and their son to celebrate the album’s release, but it seems like they are stronger than ever.

Justin sings about the “symptoms of his sensitivity” in his song All I Can Take and discusses the “symptoms of his sensitivity.” In the lyrics, he states, “These symptoms of my sensitivity feel worser knowing that no one is listening. This is it, I can’t change, Lord knows I try.”

He sings about taking all that is possible in another song passage, “And it’s all I can take (In this moment) / And it’s all I can take (All I can take) / And it’s all I can take (In this moment)” (p. 2).

In Daisies, he discusses whether or not someone will ever love him and his own worries about how a relationship with someone else will develop. He doesn’t mention any other relationships, not even Hailey Bieber’s.

He sings, “Throwin’ petals like,” “Do you love me or not?” in the song. You said, “Babe, did you mean it or not? Your head is spinning, and it doesn’t know when to stop. Hold on, hold on.

Justin sings about supporting someone else through adversity in his song Go Baby. He says they can cry on his shoulder whenever they need, and that they shouldn’t have to act like they’re okay.

When the sun turns into shadow and makes it difficult to face, he sings, “I know you need the rain. Nothing needs to work out, nothing to break, and don’t need to pretend that you’re okay.”

You better believe that I can carry all the weight and shrivel inside than to cry on my shoulder, just turn into me, or cry on my shoulder whenever you need it.

And in his song Walking Away, Justin sings unfavorably about wanting to change and being “defenceless.” Tell me why you’re throwing stones at my back when you’re not with me, he sings, while adding, “I made you a promise/I told you I’d change/These growing pains/And baby, I ain’t walking away.”

Taking the knee ‘not good enough’ – Wiegman

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

Because the anti-racism gesture’s impact is “not good enough,” England manager Sarina Wiegman claims her players decided to stop kneeling before games.

After defender Jess Carter revealed she had been the subject of racist abuse on social media throughout the tournament, the Lionesses will not kneel before their Euro 2025 semi-final against Italy on Tuesday.

England’s players reportedly said they would stop kneeling on Sunday because it was “clear we and football need to find another way to combat racism.”

That’s not enough, according to the statement. That has been done for some time. Wiegman told BBC Sport’s Dan Roan on Monday that the impact was insufficient and that it was not as large as we anticipated.

We felt that we needed to do something else, something different, when this kind of racism occurs, so we aren’t kneeling.

Georgia Stanway, an England midfielder, confirmed to BBC Sport that the squad would stand instead of kneel during kick-off.

“We feel like it has already taken the knees,” said Stanway.

“We still feel it even when we bend over.” We have made a decision to remain silent.

We believe that is a means of making changes in itself because we want to hear from people and let them know how inadequate the work is.

The abuse Carter suffered is being investigated by the police.

Fare, the head of the world’s largest anti-discrimination organization, questioned England’s decision to stop performing what it deemed a “powerful anti-racist act.”

Stanway praised Carter’s decision to expose the abuse and pledged the team’s support for their teammate.

It’s horrendous, remarked Stanway. We want to make sure Jess feels safe and can tell us when she is experiencing something because as a group we can be so powerful in our efforts to effect change, which is really challenging because we will never understand.

“That’s exactly what we’ve done right now,” he said. Jess is thinking about herself, and she is also thinking about other players as well, and it’s such a selfless thing to talk about something you’re going through in an effort to try to change things.

Carter is “ready to play” and “wants to play.”

As England prepares to reach a third successive major tournament final, Wiegman confirmed Carter’s availability for play on Tuesday during her media conference on Monday.

Wiegman responded, “Of course we have had a conversation.” Jess is a strong person, even though it’s a difficult situation. She wants to move on as well, but both of us felt the need to address this; we can’t let it go. We did, too.

She’s prepared to compete and perform in the match. That is a strong indication of her and the team.

Lionesses won’t be criticized, I promise.

The Online Harms Act won’t eliminate online racist abuse on its own, according to Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, in a BBC Sport interview.

The Lionesses deserve our full support, according to the statement, “I’m not going to criticize them for one moment.” They made their own decisions, she said.

We introduced the Online Harms Act this year to ensure that businesses that don’t remove this content are subject to sanctions, and we are working hard in schools to raise awareness of the effects of online abuse, but it’s up to everyone to do the same.

“I believe the act will continue to be put to the test whenever a problem arises, and it is incumbent on organizations like Ofcom and social media to take action to fix it.”

What caused England’s players to kneel?

Colin Kaepernick, the first famous athlete to kneel during the national anthem before an NFL game in 2016, was the first high-profile player to do so. He claimed he couldn’t stand proud of the flag of a nation that oppressed black people.

Since then, the anti-racist statement has gained notoriety in sports and protests.

Following the murder of an unarmed African American man in the US who was killed during an arrest by white police officer Derek Chauvin, kneeling before football games became common in 2020.

England’s decision is “powerful.”

Former England defender Izzy Christiansen backed the players’ decision to stop kneeling during a broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday Night Club.

It has power, in my opinion. I like their stance, and I like their sense of coherence. She said, “I think the fact that they have changed their stance on not kneeling to stand sends a message in and of itself.

It needs to change because it is systemic in both football and sport. Although there are differing viewpoints, it’s a brilliant idea for me personally because it shows that Jess [Carter] and we can work together.

There isn’t much controversy over the message because it is so clean. You don’t want any distractions when the game begins, and the statement resembles a very clear message. You want to continue with your preparations and let the team know where you stand. A powerful statement about what they want to do tomorrow will emerge.

Nedum Onuoha, a former Manchester City defender, expressed concern but agreed.

“I’m all for a strong statement,” I said. He remarked that having different viewpoints on a situation is beneficial.

“I’m only concerned if Italy decides to stand,” he said, adding that nothing seems to be happening as the game is about to begin. Then, it is dead and buried, no longer a conversation starter. What happens at the beginning is essentially what viewers will observe.

Taking the knee ‘not good enough’ – Wiegman

England manager Sarina Wiegman says her players decided to stop taking the knee before matches because the impact of the anti-racism gesture is “not good enough”.

The Lionesses will not take the knee before their Euro 2025 semi-final against Italy on Tuesday after defender Jess Carter revealed she has been targeted with racist abuse on social media throughout the tournament.

On Sunday, England’s players said they would stop taking the knee as it was “clear we and football need to find another way to tackle racism”.

“Taking the knee, that’s not enough. We have done that for a while. The impact is not good enough, it’s not as big as we think,” Wiegman told BBC Sport’s Dan Roan on Monday.

“When there is this form of racism we felt we have to do something else, something different, so that’s why we are not taking the knee.”

England midfielder Georgia Stanway told BBC Sport that the squad will stand at kick-off instead of kneeling.

“We feel like it has gone past that [taking the knee] now,” Stanway said.

“We feel it is still happening even when we are taking the knee. We have decided that we will stand and we will not do that.

“We think that is a way of making change in itself because we want to get people talking – we want to tell people that what is being done isn’t enough.”

Police are investigating the abuse suffered by Carter.

The head of football’s international anti-discrimination body, Fare, questioned England’s decision to stop performing what it considers a “powerful anti-racist act”.

Stanway praised Carter’s decision to go public about the abuse and pledged the support of the squad for their team-mate.

“It’s horrendous,” said Stanway. “It’s really difficult because we will never understand, but we want to create an environment where Jess feels safe and we want her to be able to tell us in those moments where she is experiencing something because as a collective we can be so powerful in order to try and make change.

“That is exactly what we have done now. It is not only Jess thinking about herself, she is thinking about other players, she is thinking about the next generation and it is such an unselfish thing to do to be able to talk about something you are going through in order to try and make change at the end of it.”

Carter ‘ready and wants to play’

During her media conference on Monday, Wiegman confirmed Carter is available to play on Tuesday as England bid to reach a third successive major tournament final.

“We want to perform in the match, she’s ready to perform and compete. That says a lot about her and the team.”

‘I won’t criticise Lionesses’

Speaking to BBC Sport, Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport warned that the Online Harms Act will not root out online racist abuse on its own.

“I’m not going to criticise the Lionesses for one moment – I think they deserve our full support. The decisions they have taken are their decisions,” she said.

“We brought in the Online Harms Act this year to make sure there are sanctions for companies that don’t take this content down and we are doing a lot of work in schools to educate young people about the impact of online abuse, but it’s incumbent on all of us to call this out.

“I think the act will continue to be tested every time a problem surfaces and it’s incumbent on those such as Ofcom and social media platforms to be proactive in rooting this out.

Why did England players take the knee?

American footballer Colin Kaepernick was the first high-profile athlete to take the knee when he did so during the national anthem before an NFL match in 2016. He said he could not stand to show pride in the flag of a country that oppressed black people.

The anti-racist statement has since become a prominent symbol in sport and during protests.

Taking the knee before football matches became widespread in 2020 following the murder in the US of George Floyd – an unarmed African American man – who was killed during an arrest by white police officer Derek Chauvin.

England decision ‘powerful’

Speaking on Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live, former England defender Izzy Christiansen supported the players’ decision to stop taking the knee.

“I think it’s powerful. I like the unity, I like the stance they are choosing to make. The fact they have changed their stance on not taking the knee to standing, I think sends a message in itself,” she said.

“It’s systemic in football, it’s systemic in sport and it needs change. I know it has split opinion but for me personally, it’s a brilliant idea – it represents unity with Jess [Carter] and as a team.

“It is a really clean message that has come across with not much controversy about it. Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha agreed, but raised concerns.

“I am all for a powerful statement. It is good to have diversity of thought about a situation,” he said.

“My only concern is if Italy decide to stand as well, when the game is about to start it looks like nothing is happening. It then no longer is a conversation starter, it is dead and buried. Essentially what people will see when watching is what happens at the start.
