Carl Frampton believes Josh Taylor deserves to be inducted into boxing’s Hall of Fame because of his undisputed world record-winning performance.
After a career that included winning Commonwealth Games silver and gold medals for Scotland, representing Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, and becoming the first – and the only – male fighter from the UK to win all four world titles in a single division, the 34-year-old is retiring on medical grounds.
When Oleksander Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois over the weekend, “we see how much of a big deal” people make of the undisputed heavyweight champion. That is unbelievable considering Josh Taylor won every fight he entered. Really difficult to comprehend.
So I believe people should remember Josh for doing that. Without being someone like a Vasiliy Lomachenko, Usyk, or someone else like that, it literally doesn’t happen. That fighter’s skill sets the stage for this.
One of the greatest British sporting accomplishments ever should be Josh Taylor’s becoming undisputed champion in 18 fights in a marquee division, not down at light-flyweight where no one fights or anything like that.
Undisputed light-welterweight champion in 18 fights is, in my opinion, Hall of Fame behavior.
Former two-weight world champions Taylor and Frampton trained alongside one another when both were under Shane McGuigan’s wing, with the Scot making his professional debut on a Texas show with Frampton in 2015 .
I was present the entire time, essentially, as Foxborough told BBC Scotland.
Josh is both a good person and a great friend of mine. And he performs many admirable things in secret that no one notices. Josh is a genuine good guy.
Although Ed Sheeran is still on tour, the popular singer has announced yet another tour that is ready for the following year. However, not all of his supporters are happy with his choice.
Ed announced the opening dates for his Loop Tour after revealing that he would be performing it in the UK in 2026. He substituted dates from January through March for those in Australia and New Zealand.
The 33-year-old singer made the announcement on Instagram. Beginning a brand-new tour called the LOOP tour next year, Ed shared a picture of him holding up his guitar in front of his adoring fans as well as a tour poster.
Ed Sheeran shared the news on Instagram and TeddysPhotos.
New stage, new techniques, a new set up, new songs, and all-new classics. I can’t wait to be back in Australia and New Zealand for the best time in January, February, and March 2026. Tickets are available through Thursday, July 29. See you there.
Fans are eager to see the tour in their own country, but some users were offended by the choice to only announce Australia and New Zealand.
His US fans weren’t particularly thrilled, either, despite the absence of any UK dates. COME BACK TO THE US NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Another agreed as they pleaded: “Please let me know about the USA dates soon.
Another person sung the words “You should promote your album also in Europe,” next to a crying emoji face. Any chances of dating in the EU, “asked a fourth.
Ed has announced his Instagram and TeddysPhotos tour.
Another user added, “You kind of stay on tour, so crazy!” Really believed you’d take a break, but I’m so excited to see you in 2027 and hopefully.
One user wrote: “Bro, come to the UK pls;” while another added: “This man has been on tour for 39284729 years maybe he’ll come to Montreal one day. “
Ed has been entertaining his European fans throughout his most recent tour, which included homecoming shows. He has occasionally invited special guests to perform alongside on several occasions.
At one of his shows, he also performed the iconic Wheatus song, Teeenage Dirtbag, along with the band’s frontman Brendan B Brown.
Can you make some noise for Westlife, Ed asked the crowd at his homecoming performance in Ipswich earlier this month. They have flown over from Ireland for this. As the group walked on stage, the audience then chanted their name.
Then, along with Ed, Westlife put on their own rendition of Flying Without Wings. The crowd joined in and sang along at the time.

Frankie Sims is striding into her thirties with a fresh mindset, a new man and zero time for drama. The former TOWIE regular, who has previously dated ex-Love Island star Jack Fincham and footballer Luke Paris, is now loved-up with handsome City boy Billy Jones, 30. She reportedly met him through her friend, one-time Islander Shaughna Phillips.
The pair, who have been dating since May 2024, finally went Instagram official last December. Not only have they already moved in together, they exclusively tell OK!. but they’re also busy planning their future, with Frankie telling us that marriage and babies are on the cards – even if there’s “no timeline”. “I know that it’s what I want for my future,” Frankie says. “When it’s meant to happen, it’ll happen.”

Since shooting to fame alongside her sister, Demi, on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2019, Frankie has been no stranger to reality TV turmoil. From fiery on-screen romances to her and Demi’s explosive fallout with sister Chloe during the second series of their LA-set reality show, House Of Sims, there’s rarely been a dull moment. Here, Frankie, who now runs her own beauty business, tells us why she’s carving out a more peaceful life for her and Billy, and how turning 30 helped her finally find her confidence.
Hello, Frankie! Between you and Billy, things seem to be going very smoothly.
They are ! We recently moved in together, and it’s amazing. We’re now looking to relocate somewhere. We’ll obviously have children and get married after that, but we’re not putting any pressure on ourselves. Although we both know it, there is no set date for when it should occur. There is a lot to do before that!
What about working together as a couple?
Simply put, the relationship seems to be working out really well. I was instantly aware of his identity from the beginning. I felt as though I had the assurance that “Yeah, this is The One.” He makes me feel very secure and joyful because everything is so straightforward. Everything is just settling in as it should.
Do you have any prior relationships with boyfriends?
When you’re in a relationship like this, you realize how completely different it was from my previous ones. However, I’ve incorporated many of the lessons I’ve learned from previous relationships into this relationship. That might be the reason it is working.

Are you quite traditional when it comes to having children first, then getting married?
I’m not at all traditional. I don’t want anyone to be happy with me or for anyone else. Right now, I don’t want to be “this age” when I get married or have children. I firmly believe that everything enters your life at the right moment, and I’ll welcome you with open arms.
What piece of advice would you give to adolescent Frankie if you could?
It’s enough to remain true to who you are and who you are. You lose who you are and lose confidence because you are in your 20s, TV shows, and dealing with things like trolling.
What are your mental health goals?
I enjoy taking time off to enjoy myself. Recently, I’ve been doing something for myself once a month that feels completely at ease and reset. I had a facial massage that included an hour-long lymphatic drainage session last month. I believe I was feeling a lot more relaxed when I left. I also had an amazing experience at a soundbath therapy session. It’s about finding a way to relieve stress from your shoulders by putting life on hold for a second.

How did you actually feel when you turned 30 earlier this year?
I had a lot of fun with it. It’s very dramatic, and I’ve seen people throw funerals, which are typically dreadful. Everyone told me that a decade is about having confidence in yourself and loving who you are, so I was anticipating turning 30. I therefore decided to interpret it as “I’m entering a whole new era, I’m a 30-year-old woman, and this is who I am”!
Tell us about Benny’s 30-year campaign for Frankie &…
We both turned 30 this year, I suppose. Because I used to attend Frankie &, Benny’s in Romford when I was younger, it felt like a full-circle. I discovered my love of food there, and it is now unquestionably my love language. I brought Billy back to the Essex restaurant to see my Love At First Bite choices, which were hilarious to show him.
Food, in our opinion, is a fantastic love language!
Haha, that’s true. I want to show someone that I care about them by providing them with food. I want to prepare meals for them, or I want to go out and try new foods or experiences.

Andrea Soncin, Italy’s head coach, was questioned about his goalkeeper, Laura Giuliani, who referred to him as a “dreamer” before the start of Euro 2025.
He responded, “I like the term.” I enjoy dreaming as well, despite being very grounded and practical. Because I believe they can, I encourage the girls to take on and defeat teams that they might not otherwise be able to defeat.
“I’m not sure where we’ll end up in this Euros, but I’m certain that we’ll be brave, selfless, and will play every game to the best of our abilities.” Let’s see how that will lead us.
They have lived up to their pre-tournament label of dark horses, making it to the semi-finals for the first time in 28 years. This is the first time they have reached that stage of the competition.
In a bid to make it to their first final since 1997, they will face defending champions England on Tuesday.
Girelli is “Iconic” and is leading.

Cristiana Girelli, Italy’s captain, is at the heart of their impressive run, scoring three goals in the Euros, including a double in their 2-1 victory over Norway in the quarter-finals.
She is third on their all-time scorers list, with 61 goals for her country, but much more than that, her influence is felt.
Nicky Bandini, an Italian football expert, tells BBC Sport, “She’s so important.” She is without a doubt a legend.
She has a long history of serving the nation’s athletes, she says. But she has actually accepted the leadership position of being the group’s leader and having witnessed it all before.
She appears composed in a team that is unfamiliar with playing in these kinds of circumstances at major tournaments.
She really has that understanding and ability to define spaces, which is crucial for a center-forward. She doesn’t always have a guaranteed spot on the pitch. She occasionally plays the number 10, and occasionally the number nine.
She has also served as a group figurehead.
Sofia Cantore, her former club teammate, assisted the 35-year-old Juventus striker, who scored both of her goals in that quarter-final.
What strategies will Italy employ?

Soncin was appointed in September 2023 by Italy, who haven’t defeated England since 2012. Despite having only ever played for men’s teams, he has gradually overcome his critics.
Soncin was viewed with some skepticism because he only had coaching experience in the men’s game and was primarily a youth coach, according to Bandini.
You can see that in this video, which he has really contributed to the last couple of years.
“I felt like I was entering this tournament because the group had a lot more energy than at other tournaments.”
And the Swiss team did it on the field, finishing second in their group behind tournament favorites Spain with displays of tactical flexibility and ability to exploit their opponents’ weaknesses.
It will be a technically fascinating game against England, says Bandini. “I’m really interested to see how Italy approaches it because one of the things that the coach at this tournament has shown is how he can change things up,” he said.
Italy plays with a back five against formidable Spain and a back four against formidable Norway, switching formations depending on the opponent.
It was a perfect move to target the Norwegians’ weaknesses at full-back, which was a test for the Lionesses as well.
The left-back position is a major headache that Sarina Wiegman has consistently encountered, Bandini says. “When we talk about England, we talk about it all the time.
Lucy Bronze prefers to advance even when you look the other way. That is a component of her game.
So I can see why this game’s wide focus is on broad areas. They are the strength of this Italian team because of their formidable options.
With their dribbling prowess, Bandini anticipates that Italy will use the back three, which includes Lucia di Guglielmo and Lisa Boattin.
“If England is careless, they could be punished.”

Italy’s support for women’s football has since fallen behind other European countries, even though it reached the final in 1993 and 1997, respectively.
The Italian Football Federation committed to becoming a professional by the 2022-23 season only following the Azzurre’s surprise quarter-final appearance at the 2019 World Cup.
According to Bandini, who has an Italian father and an English mother, “football is the first professional women’s team sport in Italy,” which is a significant development.
It simply wasn’t given the same cultural focus as it did in some other nations at once.
Both Juventus and Roma have set the standard for women’s football, which is evident both on the pitch and in the Italy squad. Four of Italy’s starting pitchers came from Juve, with three coming from Roma, in the quarter-finals against Norway.
These players are used to working together, recognizing each other’s strengths and weaknesses, Bandini says.
This tournament is “novating” For the first time in a bigger tournament, the team has been able to do it.
Although Bandini believes that Italy will be looking to capitalize on any errors, she thinks England will be the clear favorites to win the tournament.
Italy has fulfilled their potential throughout this tournament, according to her. England have had its moments of weakness.
They’ve demonstrated that they still looked likely to get a result in a game in which they didn’t see much of the ball against a technically superior Spain.
According to Chinese officials, China has begun construction of a megadam on Tibet’s Yarlung Zangbo River, which could be the world’s main hydroelectric power source when finished.
Five hydropower stations will be located along the river, which is also known as the Brahmaputra in India and the Jamuna River in Bangladesh, along with five hydropower stations in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Premier Li Qiang reportedly attended a ceremony for the dam’s commencement on Saturday, according to China’s Xinhua state news agency.
Beijing had been working on the project for a while, and in December of last year, the project was approved. It ties the development to Beijing’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality and economic goals in the Tibet region.
After the groundbreaking ceremony in the city of Nyingchi in southeast Tibet, Xinhua reported that “the electricity generated will primarily be transmitted to other regions for consumption, while also meeting local power needs in Tibet.”
According to Xinhua, the project is expected to cost about 1.2 trillion yuan ($167.1 billion).
India stated in January that it was concerned about the project and would “monitor and take necessary measures to protect our interests” with China.
China “has been urged to ensure that the interests of the downstream states of the Brahmaputra are not harmed by activities in upstream areas,” according to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs at the time.
Beijing’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in December that the project would not have a “negative impact” downstream, adding that China “will also maintain communication with nations at the lower reaches” of the river.
Tibetans expressed concern about the potential effects on the Tibetan Plateau’s distinctive ecosystems after China annexed Tibet in 1950.
According to Yale’s E360 environmental magazine, Tibet’s vast glaciers, major rivers, and vast glaciers provide fresh water to 1.3 billion people in 10 nations.
The Yarlung Tsangpo, which reaches 5, 000 meters (16,404 feet) above sea level, is considered to be Tibet’s sacred river.

Tens of thousands of soldiers are stationed on either side of China’s vast border with India, which is only 30 kilometers (18 miles) away.
The Yangtze River’s Three Gorges Dam, which was constructed in central China, could have three times as much energy as the dam.
Around 1.4 million people were displaced by the Three Gorges Dam, which was completed in 2003, incontrovertibly.
Following Typhoon Wipha, which is currently roiling toward the coast of northern Vietnam as a severe tropical storm, rain and flooding have continued in the Philippines. Five people were killed and thousands of people were displaced over the weekend.
According to Vietnam’s national weather forecasting agency, Wipha was 60 kilometers (37 miles) off the coast of Haiphong City at 6am local time on Tuesday (23:00 GMT).
An estimated 350, 000 Vietnamese soldiers are on standby as the country’s weather agency anticipates up to 500mm (20 inches) of rainfall, which could lead to dangerous flooding and landslides. Neither casualties nor damage have been reported so far.
According to the organization, Wipha is projected to weaken to a low-pressure event on Tuesday night as a result of the anticipated landfall in Hung Yen and Ninh Binh provinces south of Hanoi.
Tens of thousands of people were evacuated from their homes on Tuesday, and at least two people are believed missing. The flooding, which was brought on by torrential rains in the Philippine capital, Manila, brought much of life to a halt.
Following a night of rain that caused the Marikina River to burst its banks, schools and government buildings in Manila and the surrounding provinces remained closed.
More than 23 000 people along the river were evacuated and found refuge in schools, village halls, and covered courtyards. In the cities of Quezon and Caloocan, another 25, 000 people were forced to leave.
According to John Paul Nietes, an assistant supervisor of the emergency operations center, an elderly woman and her driver were swept down a swollen stream in Caloocan as they attempted to cross a bridge.
“It was found last night.” He said that the rescue operation is ongoing, but neither one of them has been found as of right now.
According to the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, at least five people have been reported dead as of Monday, according to local news agency Enquirer. reported by . According to the council, seven people are also missing.
Every year, at least 20 storms or typhoons hit or pass the Philippines, with the poorest areas of the country typically suffering the most. As storms become stronger and more destructive, climate change has made their effects worse and worse.
