Love Island star Chris Hughes has overshared a few details about his love life with Celebrity Big Brother co-star JoJo Siwa. The duo, who formed an extremely close friendship while on the ITV reality series earlier this year, got together after the 22-year-old singer split from ex-girlfriend Kath Ebbs.

After they left the show, Chris even flew out to Los Angeles to spend some time with her. They quickly raised the stakes in their relationship. They shared numerous intimate details about their romance with everyone else, but they also took everyone along.

Chris recently revealed JoJo has given his testicles their own names. Speaking to E! News about what she calls the family jewels, he said: “She calls my balls Jimmy and Timmy.”

He (not so) smoothly continued to point out the pattern that JoJo uses nicknames. Freddy, Eddy, and Teddy are the names she previously desired for her future children.

Before expressing his thoughts on having rhyming names with his future children, Chris, 32, said, “She must love the rhyming lingo within her life.” I’m not aware of those names. I like a name. I’m still unsure of their merits.

Meanwhile, Chris recently took to Instagram to share an update on his life, with the upload showing a telltale sign the duo’s relationship is moving up the gears.

JoJo, 22, and Chris, both 22, both reside in the UK, and both show signs of long-distance friendship.

Chris shared a picture of a framed photo of JoJo and JoJo’s family home in a recent social media post that features the two of them lovingly embracing.

JoJo and her loved ones are pictured alongside the picture. The reality star also tagged Jessalyn, his partner’s mother, in a post while the family savored a takeaway.

The caption reads, “Had the best few days. This location is stunning. Additionally, the note comes as Chris’ rumor about making the move permanent in the state. Abby Lee Miller, JoJo’s dance instructor, recently discussed the couple’s relationship and acknowledged that his age is crucial to the longevity of their relationship.

He’s a little older than her, she said at the 10th anniversary party for the Juicy Scoop podcast in Westwood, Los Angeles. He has frequented the block.

A high school boy won’t understand that, whereas he knows how to treat her. Even someone her age, at age 21, won’t treat a girl the same respect and niceties as Chris has acquired along the way.

‘No miracles’: Russia downplays Ukraine talks as deadly attacks continue

In upcoming discussions with Ukraine in Turkiye, Russia has understated any outcome, despite reports that more than 20 people have been injured and one child has been killed in overnight Russian attacks.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, “we don’t have any reason to hope for some miraculous breakthroughs,” this was “hardly possible in the current situation.”

We have the words “we intend to pursue our interests,” “we intend to ensure our interests,” and “we intend to accomplish the goals we have set for ourselves from the beginning.”

Some people were optimistic that negotiations would help bring an end to the conflict that began with Russia’s massive invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, following Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s announcement late on Monday that talks would begin. Russian President Vladimir Putin has been holding off on holding talks, which have stalled as a result of Donald Trump’s continued pressure on the United States.

On Wednesday, Istanbul is expected to host the third round of discussions in a while. Prior negotiations resulted in numerous exchanges of dead soldiers and prisoners of war, but no agreement on a ceasefire was reached.

Rustem Umerov, the former defense minister and current security council secretary, will lead Ukraine’s delegation, Zelenskyy announced on social media on Tuesday.

He also outlined potential discussion points and suggested Ukraine was prepared to “secure the release of our people from captivity and the return of abducted children, to stop the killings, and prepare a leaders’ meeting.”

Russia has not yet disclosed the team’s lineup for the discussions. At the previous round, Vladimir Medinsky, the current head of the Russian Union of Writers, led the group, which Ukraine described as not having a real decision-making role.

Peskov, who was questioned on Tuesday if he could provide an idea of the potential timeline for a possible peace agreement, said he could not provide any information on timing.

A day after Zelenskyy called for a meeting with Putin, Peskov continued, “There is a lot of work to be done before we can talk about the possibility of some top-level meetings.”

On July 22, 2025, workers in Odesa, southern Ukraine, inspect the site of a drone attack.

Russia’s offensive continues despite the upcoming discussions, with its forces battling to pass through the 1, 000km (620-mile) front line at eastern and northeastern locations.

One of Russia’s biggest aerial assaults in months was reported by the Ukrainian air force, which revealed 24 missiles and 426 drones launched overnight. At least 224 Russian drones and missiles were downed or jammed, according to the report, and 203 of them vanished from radars.

According to Mayor Alexander Goncharenko, a 10-year-old boy was killed and five people were hurt in one of the attacks when guided glide bombs struck a residential building in Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine.

Three years after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, a metropolitan area in Donetsk named Kramatorsk is a part of that region.

In the capital city of Kyiv, a barrage of Russian bombings were also reported, igniting several fires and causing damage to an underground air raid shelter for citizens. No casualties were immediately reported.

Regional authorities claim that the Sumy region of Ukraine has experienced numerous attacks in recent years. Four people were hurt when a drone struck a petrol station in Putyvl, including a five-year-old boy, according to the regional military administration. Seven people were hurt when a second drone hit the same location less than two hours later, injuring another seven.

At least 13 people were hurt in separate attacks by two powerful Russian glide bombs, including a six-year-old boy, and five apartment buildings, two private homes, and a shopping center were all damaged in the attack. According to acting mayor Artem Kobzar, the blasts shattered windows and destroyed balconies in residential buildings.

Putin made a few weeks ago, effectively by occupying the Ukrainian border areas, to declare his intention to establish a “buffer zone” in the Sumy region.

Initial reports of drone attacks in Odesa, a port city in southern Ukraine, claimed the lives of at least one person. According to regional media, fires broke out in a number of locations throughout the city.

Ukraine also launched attacks, with the Ministry of Defense of Russia reporting that 35 Ukrainian long-range drones fell over several areas overnight, including three over the Moscow region.

Investing Military Funds In Internal Policing Will Reduce Terrorism By Almost 70% — Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, predicted that if the Federal Government spent money on security and internal policing reforms, Nigeria could reduce terrorism by almost 70%.

If you invest in internal policing in a year, you will see a reduction in terrorism of almost 70%, compared to the military’s that is stolen, filtered, or mismanaged—or spent where they claimed.

On Tuesday’s edition of Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, he stated, “You get a reduction in kidnapping by almost 80%, and you get almost zero percent in crime rate all over the country.”

According to Sowore, Nigeria’s security system was compromised by underperforming police performance and misplaced budget priorities. The police are underpaid and undervalued despite shouldering the brunt of internal security, he added.

The former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, flagbearer, said, “An average senator takes 30 to 50 million naira, and a police officer who doesn’t go to sleep, who patrols your borders, houses, parties, children’s schools, and to whom you report whenever anything happens is paid nothing.”

On Monday, July 21, 2025, some police retirees in Abuja and Jalingo, Taraba State, protested against the state’s poor welfare.

IGP Also Meets With Protesting Retired Police Officers Over Poor Welfare

No police officer should make less than $500 000 per month, according to the publisher.

Before you ask, “Is that fiscally sustainable? ” Do you factor in the cost of not properly equipping and paying a policeman and compare that to what it will cost if you continue to do the same?

You can’t expect the police to protect you in this state. That is how to evaluate investment that is necessary, not to say, “Oh, if we pay them well, how are we going to maintain that?” ’

You are aware of the cost of insecurity you endure. You are aware of the cost of an Apache helicopter, he said, “instead of putting that money toward policing and making sure you don’t bomb your country,” he said.

The activist claimed that while “about 210,000 officers are serving,” funds are being distributed for 250,000 personnel, blaming the police leadership for corruption and inefficiency.

He called for a complete overhaul and restructuring of the police force, noting that “the police force is rotten at the top.” ”

His comments came a day after he led a peaceful protest in Abuja calling for the withdrawal of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and improved welfare for some retired police officers.

Omoyele Sowore, the AAC’s presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, is in photo.

The officers, who marched to the National Assembly and Force Headquarters on Monday in the midst of heavy rain, criticized years of neglect and entitlement abuse.

Sowore claimed that serving officers, who he claimed continue to suffer in precarious conditions, were the focus of the demonstration and that it was not just about retirees.

We decided to participate in this because we didn’t want to fight for retirees; He claimed that it is necessary to fight for the still serving police officers.

At the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, met with the protesting retirees.

Although Embetokun acknowledged their concerns, he argued that it was impossible to leave the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) without going outright.

The IGP has mandated that retired police officers who have made their protests be protected. According to Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a spokesman for the Force, the protest should serve as a model for dignified grievance expression.

Katie Boulter, Sonny Kartal, Emma Raducanu, Jodie Burrage, and Great Britain captain Anne Keothavong have all been named in a strong line-up for the Billie Jean King Cup.

Boulter is ranked 41st in the world, followed by Raducanu, Raducanu, and Burrage, who are all ranked 116th.

In the September Billie Jean King Cup Finals, Great Britain defeated Germany and the Netherlands in April.

On Thursday, September 18, they will face Japan in the quarter-finals, and if they do, they will face Kazakhstan’s winner of the tie between the United States and them.

The last time Britain won the women’s team event was in 1981, when the event was known as the Federation Cup.

Kartal made history at Wimbledon by making it to the fourth round, which was the furthest among the GB women.

Before being defeated by world number one Aryna Sabalenka, Raducanu advanced to the third round.

‘A fierce competitor & loveable character’ – Joey Jones obituary

Images courtesy of Getty

Joey Jones, a legendary former defender for Wales, Liverpool, and Wrexham, passed away at the age of 70. He was a fierce competitor, lovable character, and humble hero to supporters of every team he defended.

Jones won the 1977 European Cup and the 1977 League Championship with Liverpool. He also played for Chelsea and Huddersfield Town throughout his career.

He represented Wales in 72 appearances, making his country the most caps since 1986 when he retired from international football.

After retiring as a player, Jones went on to run and coach Wrexham, where he had previously played professionally.

Jones was a difficult person because of his lean frame and pipe-cleaning legs, but attackers feared him because of his unwavering, tough-tackling demeanor.

He became a regular favorite with fans wherever he played because of his signature clenched-fist salute.

Under John Neal and under Jones’ leadership, the club flourished in its first two years at Wrexham, winning numerous notable FA Cup victories.

In July 1975, Bob Paisley signed the young Reds fan for £110,000 after seeing his performances.

Before the 1977 European Cup final against Borussia Monchengladbach, Liverpool’s all-star team having already defeated Saint Etienne and FC Zurich, their fans memorably unfurled a banner.

The phrase was “Joey Made The Swiss Roll, Now He’s Munching Gladbach,” as it was written.

In 2014, Jones stated to BBC Wales, “It was made by a few fans I really respect, and I think I think as much of that banner as I do of the medal.”

When there were such outstanding players at Liverpool, I felt 10 feet tall, to make a banner about myself.

Chelsea fans remember his efforts to prevent the club from relegation from the 1982-83 season to the Second Division, which he helped them win.

He was named one of the top 100 players to play for Liverpool in 1986 by Huddersfield fans, and he was one of them.

The emotions were reciprocal.

The supporters are, in my opinion, the most important members of any club, Jones said.

Without them, there would be neither a game nor a job.

His commitment to Wrexham is paltry in comparison to his 100 appearances for the great Liverpool team of the late 1970s and 91 for a fading, resurgent Chelsea.

Jones retired in 1992 after making 376 league appearances in three attempts after first starting for the club in North Wales in 1971.

After Brian Flynn’s departure in 2001, he served as a coach on the first team, reserve, and youth levels before taking over as caretaker manager.

He made his World Cup debut against Austria in 1975 for Wales, and he played for teams that only managed to earn places in the 1978, 1982, and 1986 World Cups.

His international work included those of Ian Rush, Mark Hughes, and Neville Southall, as well as John Toshack and Terry Yorath’s teams.

Off the field, Jones had a tough-as-as-a-thon attitude.

Wales’ chances of reaching the 1982 World Cup finals were thwarted by a Soviet Union defeat, where Oleg Blokhin, the 1975 Ballon d’Or winner, gave them the go-ahead.

After the game, a reporter informed Jones that Blokhin’s father was a skilled sprinter and his mother was a noted champion pentathlete.

Jones responded, “Oh no, no no,” quickly. What chance did I have of finding my father, who is a hospital porter and my mother a cleaner?

The first Welshman to receive a medal for winning the European Cup, his place in his country’s football history is assured.
