Price beats Littler to win Premier League night six

Gerwyn Price beat Luke Littler 6-3 in the night six final in Nottingham to win his second event in the 2025 Premier League Darts.

The Welshman, who was extremely animated throughout the evening, has now won six successive matches against the teenager.

He averaged 94.10 in comparison to 103.39 by Littler but he was more clinical on the doubles taking out six of 11.

The 2021 world champion broke Littler’s throw in leg two, but the 18-year-old broke back in leg seven to trail 4-3.

However Price broke straight back and then closed out to join Littler and Luke Humphries on two victories in this year’s competition.

“I try to be more positive and it shows on the board. The last couple of years I’ve been negative on myself”, Price told Sky Sports.

“I might say I’m enjoying it and loving it but in the background it’s hard. I’m just glad to get a win tonight. Another one over Luke, because I don’t think it will last long.

” He’s the best player in the world and he’s going to be for some years.

“I think he will beat Phil Taylor’s record of 16 world titles. There’s nobody at the PDC at the minute that will stop him – only the younger generation, JDC, can stop him.

Littler earlier beat world number one Humphries 6-4 in a thrilling quarter-final.

He was 4-3 down and Humphries ‘ missed attempt at triple 20 left him with a bogey number.

Littler pounced to sensationally take out 344, including a 167 finish, in six darts to level and from there he closed out for the win to move top of the table.

The Warrington-born teenager was in devastating form in his 6-3 semi-final win over Rob Cross too – taking out 167, 127 and 164 finishes all on bullseye.

Price ground out a 6-4 win over Stephen Bunting, who still remains without a win, in the quarter-finals, before producing a stunning display to blow away Michael van Gerwen 6-1 in the semi-finals.

He raced into a 5-0 lead and was looking for the first clean sweep since 2023 but Van Gerwen pinned double tops in leg six to avoid it.

Romeo Beckham left embarrassed as he spots poster of dad David in unlikely place

Romeo Beckham was less than impressed as he came face-to-face with a poster of his dad posing in underwear at the airport.

The 22-year-old was at the airport when he saw one of his dad David Beckham’s campaign photos for BOSS – which sees the football star posing in boxer briefs as he showed off his toned abs. While fans were delighted with the photos, his young son was mortified to see his dad’s near-naked body on a poster.

Romeo took to his Instagram Stories to share a few selfies taken at 5am. Once he got to the airport, he spotted his dad’s BOSS campaign and took a quick picture of it to share with his followers. He captioned the photo: “Cheers exactly what I wanted to see at 6am @davidbeckham”.

Romeo’s no stranger to posing for big brands and has previously shared the results of his photoshoots with Saint Laurent, Balenciaga. He even recently walked the runway for Versace and posted a snap of his walk for his Instagram followers to enjoy.

For the 2025 Autumn/Winter runway show at Milan Fashion Week, he donned a silver chainmail top, black tailored trousers, embellished gloves, and snake-print boots. Known for the family’s hilarious banter, David took to social media following Romeo’s runway debut.

David, who heaped praise on his son’s recent achievement, shared a heartfelt message on social media, writing, “Proud of you mate”, accompanied by pink heart emojis. He tagged Donatella Versace, the luxury fashion house, and Victoria, 50, on his Instagram stories. But the former English player wasn’t done there as he’d also added the Bruno Mars ‘ 2016 hit, Versace on the Floor to the post.

It comes after it was revealed David receives a brand new pair of underwear everyday. The football icon gets shipped unlimited undies, according to BOSS ‘ creative director, Marco Falcioni, who said: “Lets put it this way, that is true… he is a very high ranked customer”.

Talking at London’s V&amp, A museum Mr Falcioni also said how sales of their underwear range have rocketed and compared Becks to Marky Mark (Mark Wahlberg) when he stripped off for Calvin Klein.

Falcioni said to The Mirror: “To be honest he is the new Marky Mark. It is quite incredible. He is obsessed about quality and touch. He wanted to touch every fabric and is very precise with what he likes. Also David told me he and Victoria don’t really talk much about fashion at all”.

Swiatek to face Andreeva in Indian Wells semis

Defending champion Iga Swiatek cruised past China’s Zheng Qinwen in straight sets to set up an Indian Wells semi-final with Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva.

Zheng beat Swiatek on the way to winning gold at last year’s Paris Olympics – but was no match for the Pole in their first meeting since.

The world number two claimed the first set 6-3 and eased into a 5-1 lead in the second before bad weather led to play being suspended.

Zheng, 22, improved after the delay and won two straight games before Swiatek closed out the match 6-3 6-3.

“It was a weird match with all the breaks and everything, but I wanted to be composed and really focused and I’m glad that I did that”, Swiatek said.

The 23-year-old, who is chasing a record third title at the Californian event having won in 2022 and 2024, will face 17-year-old Andreeva in the last four on Friday after she beat Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina 7-5 6-3.

Antonio taking ‘baby steps’ towards West Ham return

Getty Images

Michail Antonio is taking “baby steps” as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg sustained in a car crash, says West Ham boss Graham Potter.

The 34-year-old forward had surgery on a lower limb fracture after the accident in Essex in December which led to him spending more than three weeks in hospital.

It was reported this week that Antonio, who is West Ham’s all-time leading Premier League scorer with 68 goals in 268 games, is on course to return to first-team action before the end of the season.

Potter said it was “too early to say” if that was the case and he didn’t “want to put that type of deadline or kind of pressure on him”.

“He’s tentatively out on the grass, but not so much. He’s on the]anti-gravity treadmill] which helps in non-weight bearing work”, Potter said.

“It’s baby steps. It’s day by day, week by week, and then we will see. It’s great that he is making the progress he is”.

Antonio was given a warm reception by West Ham fans during a pre-match walkabout on the pitch before Monday’s 1-0 league defeat by Newcastle.

Potter said the Jamaica international, who turns 35 later this month, was “intelligent enough” to know when he will be ready to make a comeback after such a serious setback.

“He is very determined as you would imagine, and trying his best”, added Potter.

“But at the same time you have understand what he has been through, where the start point was.

” He obviously wants to get back playing, wants to do everything, but at the same time knows the situation he’s had to deal with.

Fernandes Hat-Trick Fires Man Utd Into Europa League Quarters

Bruno Fernandes led Manchester United into the Europa League quarter-finals with a hat-trick to beat Real Sociedad 4-1 at Old Trafford on Thursday and 5-2 on aggregate.

The first three goals on the night came via the penalty spot as Mikel Oyarzabal had slotted Sociedad into an early lead.

However, Fernandes quickly restored parity and coolly scored again from the spot on 50 minutes.

The Portuguese international then ensured United will face Lyon in the last eight by firing home his 15th goal of the season.

Diogo Dalot rounded off the scoring in one of Ruben Amorim’s best nights since taking charge of the Red Devils.

Languishing 14th in the Premier League and out of both domestic cup competitions, United’s last remaining hope of salvaging a miserable season lies with the Europa League.

Amorim’s men were roared on a by a 74, 000 full house, although there were continued protests against co-owners the Glazer family.

Sociedad’s season also hinged on European glory amid a disappointing La Liga campaign.

Imanol Alguacil’s side made a positive start and got their reward when Oyarzabal was chopped down by Matthijs de Ligt as he attempted to reach Aritz Elustondo’s cross on 10 minutes.

The Sociedad captain scored his side’s equaliser from the spot as the first leg ended 1-1 last week.

Oyarzabal sent Andre Onana the wrong way once more to give a United side short on firepower a mountain to climb.

However, the Red Devils were level within six minutes.

Rasmus Hojlund’s goal drought stretched to 21 games, but the Dane was fouled as he tried to reach Fernandes ‘ ball across goal and the latter rolled home the resultant penalty.

United should have been in front by the break as Hojlund missed a glorious chance when he flicked Joshua Zirkzee’s teasing cross wide.

The English giants had to wait just five minutes into the second period for another chance to win the tie.

Zirkzee could not beat Alex Remiro from the edge of the area, but Patrick Dorgu was first to the rebound and was adjudged to have been fouled by Elustondo.

Amorim said after Fernandes ‘ stunning free-kick in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal that his side “needed more Brunos”.

Not for the first time in a difficult season, the United skipper took responsibility to put his side in front.

Sociedad’s task got even harder just after the hour mark when Jon Aramburu was shown a straight red card for bringing down the impressive Dorgu as he charged through on goal.

The only negative of the night for United was another goalless showing for strikers Zirkzee and Hojlund.

Zirkzee was denied again by Remiro before heading wide with the goal gaping.

Fernandes showed the poise in front of goal his forwards lacked when he drilled Alejandro Garnacho’s pass into the bottom corner three minutes from time.

Hojlund did at least bag an assist late on as his cross was drilled high into the net by Dalot.

Corrie’s Kimberly Hart-Simpson admits she’s ‘struggling’ in honest post

Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson admitted she was dealing with a very personal issue in a new post.

The ITV actress shared a long message on Instagram on March 13, talking about her relationship with social media and saying that despite the glitzy content she often shares online it’s often “chaos” behind the scenes.

In her post, Kimberly, 38, shared a selection of photos showing what she’d been up to recently, from hanging out with celebs such as Jake Quickenden and Wayne Lineker to going on runs, getting new tattoos, and even dealing with a health issue.

Alongside the authentic shots, the Celebs Go Dating star wrote: “Right, I am actually struggling (for the first time in my life) with my connection to social media. It’s such a weight! It’s drummed into us to think about algorithms and relevancy etc, and I am just tired of it”.

Instead, the actress shared snapshots of her real ‘ chaos, ‘ including a ‘ gammy eye ‘ and new tattoos, and explained that she lived differently behind the glamorous life she shows on Instagram (Instagram/kimberly_h_s)

The actress – who also runs an upcycling clothing company – added: “I’m at the back end of my 30s and having to think about engaging content isn’t something I ever even thought about growing up”!

Later, she added: “It’s just a lot. And it then makes me not want to post because what happens if it doesn’t perform well and it then has an affect on the next post (god forbid it’s for a job) I am just, for a bit….. done deeping it.

” I am posting what I want when I want, whether that’s twice a day or you don’t see me for dust for a week. I am not even thinking about the aesthetic of it all (which by the way is a thing) … if you come to my page and think…. This is chaos… well yes! That’s a bang on representation. “

Kimberly then described some elements of what her real life was like, including” eating s**t dinners “and dealing with” a gammy eye that still ain’t better, and added: “I like running but I also love a vodka Diet Coke”.

The TV star praised her friends and family, and added that she was glad she got the issue “off her chest” after opening up so much for fans. Kimberly’s followers loved how earnest her words were, and rushed to share their support. “Love this post it’s so true”, one person said, with a second adding: “Well said hope you are ok”.

“You’re a human. Keep being you”, said a third, with another praising: “Spot on there Kim and good on you for telling it like it is! “!

Kimberly plays Nicky Wheatley on Corrie, a character who only starred in 2020 but has come back multiple times for cameos and special features. While she made it clear in her recent post that she has plenty to juggle away from the show, Kimberly has also spoken about the door being open for Nicky to return to our screens again.

Speaking to the Mirror this January, she jokingly shared: “We met Nicky four years ago and I’m still going”, adding that her appearance on the show was initially supposed to be a brief stint but is still “popping back and facilitating storylines”.

Kimberly added: “That’s the great thing about soaps, you chop and change into other characters ‘ lives. Of course I’d consider going back – I look at that time with such fond memories and have such positive emotions towards the show.
