Cat Deeley lets hair down on a school night as she parties with celeb pal for ITV bash

This Morning presenter Cat Deeley looked her usual glamorous self as she partied with a number of fellow ITV stars to celebrate the channel’s 70th anniversary

Newly single Cat Deeley didn’t fear her early alarm clock as she partied hard with her fellow celebrities on Monday night.

The This Morning presenter, who announced her split from husband Patrick Kielty in July, looked her usual trademark glam as she let her hair down with the likes of AJ Odudu, Christine Lampard and Judi Love to celebrate 70 years of ITV.

Celebrities from some of the channel’s most popular programmes over the years, spanning current affairs to drama and soaps, were present at the event.

Despite needing to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on the ITV programme today, Cat looked care-free and appeared to be having the time of her life as she let her hair down to mark her employer’s milestone anniversary.

Cat, 48, was the picture of glamour as she left the venue in a red mini dress that perfectly showcased her toned legs. Even on her way home, Cat maintained her polished look with voluminous blow-dried hair and immaculate makeup.

She paired her dress, which featured gold accents, with strappy sandals that further accentuated her tall frame. Christine Lampard, who often fills in for Lorraine on the channel, was spotted leaving the event hand-in-hand with Judi Love.

Cat, who was confirmed as the new This Morning presenter alongside Ben Shephard last year, is currently embarking on life as a single woman for the first time in over a decade.

In July, Cat and Patrick shocked many when they announced their separation after almost 13 years of marriage. “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved,” the former couple said in a joint statement.

“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.”

The two TV stars, who met while hosting BBC singing contest Fame Academy, wed in September 2012 in Rome. Their first child, a son called Milo, was born in 2016 and their second son, James, was born in 2018.

Cat returned to her This Morning hosting duties at the start of this month but is yet to address her pending divorce. She did however discuss a sweet family milestone as she settled back into life on the famous sofa with Ben on their first day back.

Ben began by explaining his son Jack, who just finished his A-levels, returned to his junior school to work as a teaching assistant. Cat then said: “My littlest is starting his new school today, so he’s got to wear a blazer and he’s popped the collar!”

“It had been reported that Cat was “anxious” to return to This Morning and wanted to keep her private life out of the spotlight. “Cat feels anxious ahead of her first day back after announcing the bombshell news of her split during her break,” a source told The Sun.

“She has decided NOT to mention the breakdown of her marriage on screen and instead wants to keep the chatty dialogue between her and Ben upbeat and positive for viewers.”

Tunisia qualifies for FIFA World Cup 2026 with win in Equatorial Guinea

Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane has scored in added time to give Tunisia a 1-0 win in Equatorial Guinea and qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in North America.

The away victory on Monday night gave Tunisia an unassailable lead in Group H, and they became the second African nation to secure a place at the tournament after 2022 semifinalists Morocco.

Tunisia have 22 points from eight games, 10 more than second-placed Namibia, who have one match in hand but cannot match the total of the Carthage Eagles.

Substitute Ben Romdhane, a midfielder with Egyptian and African giants Al Ahly, struck in the 94th minute after being set up by Firas Chaouat.

He also scored the only goal, from a penalty, when Tunisia beat Equatorial Guinea in matchday three last year.

“When Firas Chaouat received the ball in the final moments, I knew he was going to get the better of the Equatorial Guinean player,” Ben Romdhane told Tunisian TV.

“So I moved forward and put myself in a good position to score,” added the 26-year-old, who joined Al Ahly this year from the Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros.

“It was the toughest match of the qualifiers, and we expected it given the conditions, the pitch and the humidity,” fellow midfielder Ferjani Sassi said.

“We knew how to adapt to the circumstances. They had many chances, but we were ready. We believed in ourselves until the very end.”

Tunisia started the match in Malabo with players based in nine countries, including Hannibal Mejbri from Premier League side Burnley.

The Eagles are coached by former centre back Sami Trabelsi, who captained Tunisia at the 1998 World Cup in France.

Tunisia have now qualified seven times for the World Cup and will hope to improve on a record of only three victories in 18 matches and never progressing beyond the first round.

Prince Harry grins on charity trip as diary battle with William rages on

A grinning Prince Harry has kicked off the second day of his UK trip with a trip to Nottingham – in a diary clash with Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in the city to visit the Community Recording Studio just over an after Willliam started an engagement at youth project in South London.

Harry’s visit will see him show his support for BBC Children in Need and revisit the recording studio in Nottingham, where he appears set to make an announcement of a substantial donation to the broadcaster’s charity to help support its work tackling violence affecting young people. As he arrived in a grey jacket he was cheered by crowds and laughed as one onlooker asked if he had brought the sun with him.

Harry last visited the CRS to mark World Mental Health Day in October 2019, just two months before he and Meghan announced they were stepping down as senior working royals and moving to North America.

He is planning to hold a private briefing with Children in Need, the Police and Crime Commission, the CRS and community outreach group Epic Partners in Nottingham, stage informal catch-ups with some of the young people he met before, and watch performances from CRS artists and make a short speech.

The Duke is hoping to bring together key stakeholders, influencers and potential funders to shine a light on the work of grassroots organisations such as CRS and Epic Partners and the sports apprenticeship body Coach Core.

The visit is happening just after the Prince of Wales visited Spiral Skills, which has received funding from the prince’s homelessness initiative Homewards to move into a new hub for young people at The Oasis Village, Tulse Hill.

The youth organisation was founded in 2015 and works with local schools, youth organisations and authorities to provide early intervention, support, employability skills and access to employment and services for 14 to 25-year-olds, Kensington Palace said.

The prince visited the organisation at its new space to see how it offers support for those who need it, before attending a workshop with Young Creators UK, a creative agency run and owned by underrepresented young people which receives referrals from Spiral Skills.

William was joined by Homewards advocate and former England midfielder Fara Williams to hear about how the organisation has helped people to gain confidence and learn new skills.

Harry’s trip to Nottingham comes after he paid tribute to the seriously ill children and young people recognised by the charity WellChild as a “beacon of hope and inspiration”.

Harry ended a night of celebration last night by telling the awards winners to “keep fighting. Keep smiling” as the charity honoured their efforts to succeed and thrive despite life-threatening conditions.

During the reception with the winners ahead of the presentations, Harry joked and laughed with the seriously ill youngsters and chatted to Declan Bitmead, 17 – winner of the inspirational young person 15-18 years award – and was told he had a younger when the royal asked about siblings.

“Does he drive you mad?” asked the duke, and Declan replied “no, we get on fine” – and Harry quipped with a smile “you know what – siblings”.

When told the 17-year-old, from Oxted in Surrey, and his brother went to the same school, the duke said “you’re at the same school, that sometimes makes it more challenging”.

While Harry is expected to potentially have a long overdue reunion with his father, King Charles, during his rare trip to UK shores, it is extremely unlikely that the Duke of Sussex will see his estranged brother, William.

Despite an olive branch being extended between the Sussex camp and the Firm earlier this year when senior aides to both Harry and Charles met in London, William is said to have firmly declined any potential reunion with his brother after years of public jabs between the two princes.

However, when it comes to Harry and Charles, sources have said there is a determination on both sides to make a meeting happen, with Wednesday being touted as a potential date.

Harry, who previously admitted he wanted reconciliation with his family, is said to be ready to ‘drop everything’ to attend a meeting. A source said: “As Harry has stated before, he’d love to see his family and be reconciled.”

However, both Buckingham Palace and spokespeople for Harry have refused to be drawn on when or whether a meeting will take place.

Rylan Clark expected to be in prison by now in honest admission

Rylan Clark has admitted that he expected to be in prison by this point in his life as he made an honest admission about how far he has come in the last two decades.

Rylan Clark may be a household name these days, but it wasn’t so long ago the TV personality was auditioning for The X Factor and hoping to make his mark on showbusiness.

Returning to the screen alongside Rob Rinder with their new show, Passage To India, months after their last series won a TV Bafta, the Essex-born star admits he can’t quite believe how far he’s come.

“If I think back 20 years ago, I was going out in G-A-Y underage and wearing the Ted Baker sale, so I definitely didn’t see myself doing what I do now. I thought I’d probably be doing time!” admits Rylan as he jokes about the thought of being behind bars.

Similarly, Rob – who made his name in courtroom drama Judge Rinder – never foresaw his career in showbiz. He explains: “20 years ago I was defending murder trials – I didn’t see this in my future. But it comes back to that full life cycle and that you never know what’s around the corner.”

Rylan rose to fame after his 2012 stint on The X Factor, where his emotional performances and over-the-top persona caught the eye of fans. He went on to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, and has since bagged presenting gigs on shows like This Morning, his own Radio 2 show and reality series such as Dating Naked.

In his latest venture, Rylan joins Rob to travel around India as the latter aims to educate his friend on the country’s culture, something Rylan admits he wasn’t too sure about at first. “I was worried about everything,” he says. “Everyone said, ‘You’re going to get ill, you’re going to get Delhi belly, it’s going to be hot.’

“And I thought, ‘This is my worst nightmare.’ And lo and behold, I get off the plane, it must have been about midnight, and I walk into Delhi airport and get bit in the face by some mosquito thing and I’ve got a golf ball on the side of my cheek.

“I thought, ‘Here we go.’ Not a great start. I then have about four hours’ sleep, and am chucked into a tuk tuk in the middle of what I can only describe as a Wacky Races replay. I really dived into India head first.”

However, the show does depict some emotional moments during the trip, especially when Rob and Rylan see the religious traditions associated with death along the River Ganges that lead them to talk about their own mortality.

“I can’t emphasise enough that either of us would never have taken part in anything that, even in the thinnest way, felt like constructed reality. It really mattered to us that we could have safe and deep conversations,” Rob explains.

“It’s part of Rylan’s power. He creates a space where I just forget they [the camera crew] are there, so we can share those challenging conversations. It’s sometimes difficult, but it is a real privilege to make.”

Rob and Rylan’s Passage To India is on Sunday 14 Sep, 9pm, BBC Two

Oasis fans spot legendary musician at US show and all say the same thing

Oasis fans were left stunned after spotting a legendary musician in the crowd at the band’s gig in California, and all said the same thing about his actions

Oasis are currently halfway through their extensive Live ’25 reunion tour, and after concluding the US leg last weekend, they’re set to perform two shows in Mexico City this week (September 12th and 13th) before returning to the UK for two additional dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Liam and Noel Gallagher wrapped up their five-show US tour with two nights in Pasadena, California, attracting a host of Hollywood stars and A-listers, including singer Rita Ora and actors Salma Hayek and Leonardo DiCaprio. However, one music legend caught everyone’s attention when he was spotted doing something no one else was.

In a video shared on TikTok by an Oasis fan page, Sir Paul McCartney was seen standing up and filming a clip of Noel performing Little By Little – even though everyone else in his section was seated.

The caption on the video read: “Paul McCartney, the only one standing in his section, taking a video of Noel Gallagher singing Little By Little.”

The 83-year-old Beatles legend attended the concert with his wife, Nancy Shevell, and later summed up the gig with just one word. A video captured the moment Macca was asked what he thought of the show, and he said: “Fabulous!”

Content cannot be displayed without consent

However, viewers of the video clip from the concert all seemed to share the same sentiment. Many highlighted that he appeared to be the only one on his feet and truly enjoying the performance, while those around him remained seated and seemingly unfamiliar with the lyrics.

Questions were also raised about why Macca wasn’t given a “better seat,” as he was spotted right at the back of Pasadena’s Rose Bowl stadium. One viewer even suggested he should have been allocated “VIP seats,” although the video does show a private booth behind him, indicating his tickets were indeed premium ones.

One viewer commented: “Paul has the worst seat in the house!”

Another queried: “Why doesn’t Paul have better seats?”

But another viewer reasoned: “He’s in the suites section. It’s all rich people who go to be able to say that they went.”

The Beatles have had a significant influence on Liam and Noel Gallagher throughout their career, with the brothers often performing covers of popular Beatles songs during their gigs. During the Live ’25 tour, Oasis included a brief rendition of Octopus’ Garden at the end of their own track, Whatever.

In 2015, Noel humorously suggested the band would only reunite if Paul McCartney penned an Oasis comeback single. He quipped at the time: “If Paul McCartney writes an Oasis comeback single, then we’ll talk.”

Upon hearing of Macca’s presence at the gig, numerous fans have expressed how significant it must have been for the Gallagher brothers to discover one of their idols was amongst the audience.

One fan remarked: “This must be a crazy full-circle moment for Liam/Noel. Growing up loving and idolising the Beatles, to then having one of the founding members of the band turn up for your own concert.”
