Lisa Snowdon wows This Morning viewers in Kate Middleton-inspired printed top

Checks are everywhere this fall, from Kate Middleton to The Traitors, and Lisa Snowdon’s This Morning outfit exemplifies this.

Last week, Lisa Snowdon impressed This Morning viewers in a chic printed blouse in one of Kate Middleton’s favourite prints: check. The Princess of Wales is famously a fan of heritage-inspired prints, often stepping out in checked coats, dresses and blouses.

Lisa’s recent style incorporated one of the hottest fashion trends of the fall while maintaining that timeless British aesthetic. Checks are having a major impact this season, appearing on everything from high-street designers to designer runways.

This is thanks in part to the rise of the ‘countrycore’ aesthetic and shows like The Traitors, and host Claudia Winkleman, bringing traditional prints and designs back into the spotlight.

The combination of the traditional, heritage print and the fashionable draped design is what we adore about Lisa’s check blouse. The ASOS High Neck Ruched Detail Sleeveless Co-ord Top retails for $30.

Sainsbury’s Christmas pyjamas have arrived, and shoppers are rushing to purchase the “cute” sets.

Unfortunately, the matching skirt for this ruched top is out of stock in all sizes. It’s no surprise that fans have rushed to purchase it because of its royal-inspired print and cool-girl vibe.

We can’t get enough of this autumnal color combination, which is a high-neck, sleeveless top with a chocolate brown and blue check pattern.

This is one of those versatile additions to your wardrobe that you’ll want to use over and over again, whether you’re styling it for the office with a pair of tailored pants and some suede loafers for an evening out or with a midi skirt and heels.

Another presenter who has been nailing the heritage check look recently is Amanda Holden. Amanda was spotted in the River Island Green Check Belted Cape Dress, priced at £69. This dress has already proved to be so popular that it’s currently sold out on the River Island website. However, we’ve found it in stock in all sizes on the Next website.

Osun LG Dispute: Political Settlement Will Be Useful — Jiti Ogunye

Jiti Ogunye, a lawyer and human rights activist, has urged Osun State politicians to seek a political resolution over the lingering dispute over local government funds.

On Tuesday, Ogunye stated on Channels Television The Morning Brief, “My consistent position has been that courts are not suited to resolve essentially political disputes.”

He explained that parties frequently went back to court because they had resources and vested interests even after judgments.

“Parties will want to re-litigate disputes, which prolongs conflicts,” he continued.

Ogunye recalled that the dispute began with inquiries about previous council chairmen’s terms of office.

The attorney claimed that self-imposed ruling-enforcer attempts had disastrous effects, including death.

Courts and Politics

Ogunye warned that despite the court’s ability to hear the case, political differences between the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the center improved the effectiveness of a negotiated settlement.

He warned against using court procedures to benefit partisan interests.

He argued that “political settlement is important,” and that “intractable political disputes” being drawn into legal battles were being tarnished.

He claimed that the judiciary should not be used as a tool for political conflict.

Ogunye resisted the threat of a state of emergency similar to that that was declared in Rivers State years ago despite the tension.

Trade Blame: APC and PDP

After the February council elections, the Osun government claims that there is “no legal or political basis” for withholding funds.

PDP officials were recognized as the legitimate leaders of the state’s councils in a court of appeal decision from June.

The Attorney-General argued, however, that Osun must recoup previous allocations because it provided incomplete account information.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mike Ozekhome earlier in August called the withholding of funds “highly political.”

He accused Lateef Fagbemi, the Federation’s attorney general, of recommending payments to officials who had been detained by courts.

Wales recall Ramsey for Belgium and England games

Aaron Ramsey will start for Wales’ October World Cup friendly against England in Belgium.

The 34-year-old midfielder made just one substitute appearance in six months as he recovered from injury and was dropped from the squad for matches against Kazakhstan and Canada earlier this month.

Ramsey has started three games for his Mexican club, Pumas UNAM, and has also started two more games on the bench.

After missing the matches against Kazakhstan and Canada due to injury, Wales is able to welcome back Leeds United players Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon, Coventry City defender Jay Dasilva and Wrexham forward Nathan Broadhead.

Despite reports of a knee injury, Leeds winger Dan James is included, and his club side is holding out for his country’s team.

Wales, who is currently third in Group J, still has a chance to earn automatic qualification for the 2026 World Cup. However, they need other outcomes to achieve that.

With three games left, North Macedonia are top on 11 points, one point ahead of Wales and Belgium, who are ahead of Craig Bellamy’s men in terms of goal difference and have a game in hand against both of their rivals.

The top-place finishers are automatically guaranteed a spot in the March 16-team play-offs, while the runners-up are guaranteed a spot in the finals.

With their Nations League group victory last year, they are almost certain of a play-off spot, even if they come in third.

Wales squad

Goalkeepers: Tom King (Everton), Adam Davies (Sheffield United), and Karl Darlow (Leeds United).

Ben Cabango (Swansea City), Jay Dasilva (Coventry City), Ben Davies (Tottenham Hotspur), Ronan Kpakio (Cardiff City), Dylan Lawlor (Cardiff City), Chris Mepham (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Rodon (Leeds United), and Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest) are the defenders.

Ethan Ampadu (Leeds United), David Brooks (Bournemouth), Jordan James (Stade Rennais), Aaron Ramsey (Pumas UNAM), Josh Sheehan (Bolton Wanderers), Sorba Thomas (Stoke City), Harry Wilson (Fulham), and Joel Colwill (Cardiff City) are the midfielders.

Taylor Swift’s biggest feuds exposed from 77pm lawsuit to public fight with Kanye West

Taylor Swift’s impressive 20-year career and the fiery fueds that have come after her, according to a new Channel 4 documentary.

Since stepping into public consciousness over the course of more than 20 years, Taylor Swift has been the subject of a number of public disputes.

In Channel 4’s newest documentary, Taylor: The Star Who Changed the World, the singer’s rise to fame and public outcry will be explored.

The two-part series, which will air on Tuesday (September 30) at 9:15 pm, includes interviews with Taylor’s former employees and devoted fans.

Taylor will examine the musician’s 20-year career, which saw her transcend the status of a pop star and establish herself as a unique cultural icon.

The documentary examines the forces behind her trajectory and the dedicated community she has inspired through interviews with well-known commentators, industry insiders, and fans.

Here are Taylor’s infamous disputes explained as Swifties prepare to tune into the docuseries.

Kanye West and Kanye West feud

Kanye West stunned Taylor when he interrupted her 2009 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.

Taylor, age 19, was just 19 at the time when her song You Belong With Me won the Best Female Video award.

Kanye attacked her as she accepted the prize, making it seem as though Beyoncé’s single ladies music video deserved it.

Beyoncé had one of the best videos ever, but the rapper famously said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’m really happy for you and I’m gonna let you finish.”

Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, Taylor later said, “I accepted that apology.”

However, in 2016 a public dispute between the two occurred. For his album The Life Of Pablo, Kanye released a song called Famous, as depicted in the new docuseries.

I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, lyrics in the song, and why? I made that b**** famous. “

The popstar later admitted she did not hear the song before it was released and that he did not know he would refer to her as “that b****” while the rapper called Taylor to warn her about the namedrop.

A phone call recorded by Kanye’s then-wife Kim Kardashian confirmed that Taylor did not approve the biting lyrics as Kanye had claimed.

Although the duo has engaged in numerous public altercations, there haven’t been any frenzy altercations in recent years.

$1 legal action

After a DJ David Mueller was found groping Taylor during a meet-and-greet photo opportunity, Taylor was awarded $1 (77p) by the jury in 2017.

The DJ claimed that the 35-year-old’s allegations cost him his $150, 000-per-year job at KYGO radio in Colorado after filing his own lawsuit against the popstar.

In contrast, she filed a counterclaims, asking for just $1 in the event that he is found guilty. During a court hearing in June 2013, the singer claimed the DJ allegedly placed his hand on her “bare ass cheek” while he was subdued.

The actor allegedly groped the actress’ bottom during a meet-and-greet session following her 2013 concert in Denver.

No means no, her representative told the court, and the trial was meant to convey the message.

After Scott Borchetta’s company purchased the label where Taylor signed her first record deal, Taylor was the subject of another public dispute in 2019. Taylor lost that title to Scooter Braun.

Taylor had no control over her musical legacy as a result. The popstar then re-recorded her first six albums to ensure that she had complete control over the music her fans had grown to adore.

The international superstar waited years before regaining control over her music. She stated in a statement to fans in May, “Everything I’ve ever made… now belongs to me.”

‘Mind-boggling’ – Dewsbury-Hall hits out at referees

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder for Everton, described the suspension as “mind-boggling” and said it was “mind boggling” that he had already received five yellow cards in six Premier League games.

Dewsbury-Hall will miss Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace because she was booked for a challenge on Kyle Walker-Peters against West Ham on Monday.

“Forgive me if I’m wrong, and I might be, but some of these choices are so challenging to make. The 27-year-old posted on X in a mind-boggling manner.

At this stage of the campaign, players are frequently suspended for accumulating yellow cards, as happened to Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson two years ago.

Referee Samuel Barrott’s decision to show a card was “shabby,” according to Everton manager David Moyes, who questioned the standard of officiating in the Premier League.

Moyes remarked, “I think the decisions we’ve had at the moment have been frustrating, but I think all the managers are currently saying that,” adding that.

Since joining Everton from Chelsea in an estimated £28 million deal in August, Dewsbury-Hall has started all six of their league games.

His fourth yellow was a quick free kick that his team, Liverpool, received on September 20th, lost to Merseyside rivals 2-1.
