Women’s Lions will not play New Zealand at Eden Park

The British and Irish Lions will not play at Eden Park, New Zealand rugby’s spiritual home and the country’s largest stadium, on their landmark first women’s tour.

While venues for the three-Test series against the Black Ferns in September 2027 have yet to be announced, Eden Park chief executive Nick Sautner has gone public on missing out.

“I’m extremely disappointed that it is not being played at our national stadium,” he he told an Auckland Council meeting.

The Lions will instead play New Zealand at the city’s Go Media Stadium, which has about half the capacity of Eden Park at 25,000 seats.

Eden Park hosted the women’s Rugby World Cup final in 2022, when a record 42,579 fans watched New Zealand dramatically beat England 34-31. It also staged the first and third Tests when the men’s Lions team toured New Zealand in 2017.

However home crowds for Black Ferns games since they lifted the world title have been significantly smaller, usually fewer than 10,000 fans.

“The bid at Eden Park wasn’t strong enough or compelling enough,” said New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson.

“We are excited about what we can launch and can’t talk about it yet. Playing the inaugural women’s Lions series will be a step apart, no matter where the venues are.”

While travelling fans have traditionally followed the Lions to the southern hemisphere, it is unknown how many will make the trip to follow the women’s team.

The competitive balance of the series is also a potential concern.

After winning six of the previous seven tournaments, New Zealand failed to make the final of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, losing to Canada in the semi-finals.

World champions England, who are well clear at the top of the world rankings, have won the past seven Six Nations titles and have beaten New Zealand in their past three meetings, including a 33-12 win at the Go Media Stadium two years ago.

Robbie Williams fans left gobsmacked as they fume over tour ticket prices

Robbie Williams has found fame over the decades for his impressive music career which has included songs such as Angels and Let Me Entertain You

Robbie Williams has left his fans left gobsmacked the tickets for his upcoming went on sale this morning. Super fans have been trying to get their hands on tickets for his Long 90s 2026 UK tour.

However, many have already commented on the price, with several pointing out how expensive they are. Robbie is set to perform a string of shows in 2026 to promote the release of his album BRITPOP, which will come out in February, after the release date was moved due to Taylor Swift’s album.

Fans of the star have already been heading to social media to discuss the expensive tickets. He will performing at the Liverpool Olympia, Glasgow Barrowland, London O2 Academy Brixton and Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

The 51-year-old will be performing his Life Thru A Lens and BRITPOP album in full. One person took to social media to say: “See if you’ve looked at the £137 for Robbie Williams at the Barras &amp, then proceeded to pay it you are an absolute f*****g idiot there’s not an artist alive worth that price”.

While another echoed this and said: “£140 for Robbie Williams is utterly baffling to me. Honestly wouldn’t pay £14”. A third added: “Blimey around £140 for a Robbie Williams ticket? Having said that I saw Kiss in 2019 and paid £74 was worth every penny and would have even paid a bit more, still £140 sounds a rip off”.

However, some fans who are keen to go to one of the special events have said they are happy to pay the amount. One said: “No idea why everyone is moaning about the Robbie Williams ticket prices. It was £100 + booking to stand at the back of a stadium or Hyde park so £140 a ticket in a venue that holds like 1, 400 is not bad at all”.

Robbie fans have also had the chance to bag themselves early access to the tickets by pre-ordering BRITPOP on any music format through the Robbie Williams Store.

Robbie admitted that he has changed since taking Mounjaro to lose weight, and the ticket sales coincide with this. The singer claimed that the jab has made him a different person because he uses it to stay on top of his weight. Since taking the medication, he claimed that he has “lack of mental anguish.”

He stated in a statement to The Sun that “the lack of mental anguish I’ve experienced since I’ve been on Mounjaro is completely and completely liberating.”

And perhaps that has something to do with my constant upward spiral toward feeling completely normal on earth. Mentally, I’ve not been very well for the longest.

“And it seems like the clouds have melted, and I’m a different person now, ten years later. I’m one of those people who enjoys working out right now: self-care, discipline, and stretching.

Robbie added that he has noticed a significant decline in his vision since using the jabs. A US study found last year that Type 2 diabetes patients who took fat injections were four times more likely to have non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) diagnosed.

This causes a malfunction in the optic nerve, which could eventually cause vision loss. 296 eye disorders reported to the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency are thought to be related to Mounjaro.

Netflix teases new Diddy documentary – and the producer is his biggest long-time rival

A deep dive into Sean ‘ Diddy ‘ Combs is set to be released on December 2, and fans can’t believe who the executive producer is after having ‘ beef ‘ with the artist for decades

A brand new Diddy documentary is set to release on Netflix next month – and it’s produced by someone who has been extremely vocal about the notorious artist after a longstanding feud for years.

Coming to Netflix on December 2, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is a four-part documentary that will delve into Diddy’s life as a media mogul and now convicted offender.

Sean Combs was found guilty on two charges of transportation of former girlfriends for prostitution, but was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking in July in an almost two-month long trial in New York.

However since the announcement of the deep dive documentary, the attention has been put on the executive producer – who is none other than Curtis ‘ 50 Cent ‘ Jackson.

50 Cent has been extremely vocal about Diddy’s trial, before, during and after – which came from a feud that started way back in 2006.50 Cent released his 2006 diss track, “The Bomb”, in which he accused Combs of being involved in the 1997 murder of the Notorious B. I. G, despite Combs denying the accusations.

In the years since, the two have gone back and forth with each other, with drama building up, and now fans are calling 50 Cent’s latest move a ‘ popcorn moment’.

One person quipped on social media: “50 Cent producing a Diddy documentary is the most ‘grab your popcorn’ energy I’ve seen all year. The title ‘The Reckoning’ already told me peace won’t be present. 50 Cent is not letting 2025 end quietly.”

A second said: “50 cent gotta go down as the greatest hater of the century I don’t think it’s possible for someone to take that title from him he’s dedicated to his craft on a different level,” and a third added: “Of course 50 cent is producing it. Of course. Nobody holds a grudge for as long as that man does.”

Meanwhile, director Alexandria Stapleton told Tudum: “This isn’t just about the story of Sean Combs or the story of Cassie, or the story of any of the victims, or the allegations against him, or the trial.

” Ultimately, this story is a mirror]reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal. I hope]this documentary] is a wake-up call for how we idolise people, and to understand that everybody is a human being. “

Ollie Locke reveals how he’s supporting Sam Vanderpump after heartbreaking diagnosis

EXCLUSIVE: Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke has opened up about the ‘heavenly’ experience of fatherhood with twins Cosima and Apollo, and his close friendship with co-star Sam Vanderpump who is battling end-stage liver disease

Life has changed dramatically for Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth since they became parents to twins in July 2023. From the early newborn chaos to the sweetest toddler milestones, Made In Chelsea star Ollie says that every stage has felt “heavenly”.

“Cosima’s more empathetic,” he laughs warmly, as he describes the fast-growing personality of his daughter. “Apollo will bounce off sofas giggling, slam doors… he’s obsessed with doors. Whereas she’ll slide elegantly down the sofa.” The couple welcomed their children after a long and emotional journey, and the reality of parenting has been, as 38-year-old Ollie puts it, “very hands-on”.

“Right now, with twins, you have to plan things quite strategically,” he explains. “We’re always together – neither of us works in an office, so when we work we do it together. It’s a real partnership.”

One thing that’s surprised Ollie is just how deeply the twins have shaped their daily rhythm. “A friend said to me, ‘You’re no longer the lead character in your own book and you never will be again.’ And it’s true,” he smiles. “If someone texts at 3pm for a beer, I can maybe have a non-alcoholic one for half an hour before bath time!”

But the highs clearly outweigh any logistical challenges. Watching the twins reach their “firsts” has been magical, Ollie admits, even when it comes at its own pace. Their daughter is slightly delayed in speech, but he lights up describing her efforts to learn.

“She says, ‘What’s that?’ and I say ‘A tree’ and she says, ‘What?’ You think, where do I go with this? But next year will be beautiful when she can talk back about what she’s interested in.”

Happily, he and Gareth, who turns 37 this week, have found strength in their shared approach to parenting. “Everything we do, we do together,” Ollie says. “It’ll be easier when they’re a bit older, when you can chat with them and ask how they are. But right now, we’re in it and we’re loving it.”

Despite the demands of fatherhood, Ollie hasn’t stepped back from the show that made him a household name. An incredible 15 years after joining Made In Chelsea, he remains one of its most recognisable faces – though he insists it’s the friendships, rather than the glamour, that keep him coming back.

“Every time I want to leave, I become friends with someone else,” he laughs. “It’s addictive. At the moment it works for me. I don’t need to do an awful lot. I’m not knee-deep in the drama. I do the bits I want to do, and it’s enjoyable.”

And fans have even more to look forward to next year, as Ollie returns for Beyond Chelsea, the much-anticipated spin-off featuring Ollie, Binky Felstead, Lucy Watson, Rosie Fortescue and others.

“It’s a different way of filming – quicker, hand-held, really fun and organic,” he explains. “Doing it with Binky is amazing – she’s one of my best friends. I’m the only person that knows how to ‘work’ Binky on TV and push her to the absolute limit. It shows in the next few episodes!”

Another cast member Ollie has become extremely close to is Sam Vanderpump. Recent months have proved heartbreakingly difficult for Sam. Sam has end-stage liver disease and previously suffered from near-fatal sepsis triggered by an underlying genetic condition.

“We’ve gone through an awful lot,” admits Ollie. “No one could have missed the Sam liver situation in the press. It’s been very difficult – something really serious, emotional, life-threatening.”

He says the support he and Gareth offer is constant. “I speak to him every day – I’m having dinner with Sam and Alice [Yaxley, Sam’s fiancée] tonight,” Ollie reveals. “He’s become like a little brother to me and Gareth.

“They’re about to have a baby, and when you first have a baby you have no idea what to do. So, we’re teaching him what things you actually need and what you don’t. It brings back lovely memories, actually.” Beyond the close friendships he’s forged on Made In Chelsea, Ollie says he has long used the show as a way to express himself.

“I use it as therapy,” he explains. “I haven’t watched the show since series two – 14 years ago. I watched my wedding, but that’s it. I can let everything out and talk to my friends. Twitter used to tell me if they didn’t like something anyway!”

And acting continues to be a quiet passion for Ollie, although becoming a parent has changed how he approaches roles. “I trained to be an actor,” he explains. “A film wanted me in Malta for six weeks last summer but I couldn’t do it – I’d cry every day being away from my kids.”

He’s keen to take on a “more sinister” role in future, he says. “I always get asked to play funny or camp roles or the gay best friend. I’d love to show what I trained to do.”

For now, he picks work that truly feels right. “It has to have heart, meaning, fun – maybe something philanthropic. Something that resonates with the people who follow me.” Sometimes this means heartfelt projects, and sometimes it means leaning fully into comedy – like his recent short film with iD Mobile.

The campaign taps into something he finds universally relatable. “It’s naughty, cheeky, doesn’t take itself too seriously – and shows that everyone loves a bargain,” he says. And with a grin, he adds the final verdict only Ollie could deliver, “Who doesn’t want to save £200 on SIM and a mobile phone set?!”

‘Knife edge’ – will Newcastle drop Pope for Ramsdale?

Images courtesy of Getty

Nick Pope lived in a remote area.

At the Stade Velodrome on Tuesday, the Newcastle United number one made the bold move to run off his line in an effort to get the ball out on the right.

However, it turned out badly.

Pope was stranded on the biggest stage of the Champions League first, thanks to Marseille’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Pope yelled at Aubameyang with his mouth agape.

As 36-year-old Aubameyang coolly swept the ball into an empty net from a long way out, Pope was captured in his helplessness.

Pope had been a problem when Newcastle were ahead for the third straight away game. Newcastle continued to lose for the third successive away game.

Fans are increasingly urging fellow goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to receive his first Premier League start for the club as a result.

Before Saturday’s trip to Everton, head coach Eddie Howe acknowledged that “all options are on the table.”

He claimed that “the life of a goalkeeper is always on the knife edge.” You are judged on a few moments, but occasionally you don’t get a chance to get a second chance or someone else to save you.

Nick is aware of that, I believe. He has a good deal of experience playing. He is not new to it.

Pope’s excellent start earned England a recall.

Pope’s status has never been in doubt.

The veteran, like he did in each of his previous three campaigns at Newcastle, started the season as first-choice.

Before Burnley’s goalkeeper Martin Dubravka’s departure was approved last summer, Howe recognized the necessity of adding new competition.

James Trafford had been a target for a while, but the 23-year-old made the decision to leave Burnley for Manchester City.

And Pope previously acknowledged that Ramsdale’s subsequent arrival on loan from Southampton and Newcastle’s highly public search for a permanent goalkeeper forced him to “push himself to the absolute maximum” to earn the right to play for the club.

Pope certainly made that clear after a successful campaign launch.

Pope, 33, was in excellent form; he was only called back after suffering a concussion during a game against Brentford and was then called back to the England squad for the first time in a year earlier this month.

A well-deserved call-up was made.

Pope kept eight clean sheets in all of his first 14 games, and his outstanding 65-yard throw against Benfica set off Harvey Barnes’ breakaway goal.

However, in recent weeks, Newcastle have struggled defensively on the road.

Pope has allowed 10 goals in his past four away games and made various kinds of errors against Marseille, Brentford, and West Ham when his team were in front, despite not always receiving much protection from those around him.

At the London Stadium, West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta’s shot squirmed past him.

A week later, Pope was thrown out of the Gtech Community Stadium when he attempted to punch the ball but was denied an equalizer by Brentford defender Michael Kayode’s long throw.

Ramsdale’s distribution is considered to be his “largest strength.”

Ramsdale’s stock has grown as a result.

Ramsdale appeared confident in Carabao Cup victories against both Tottenham Hotspur and Bradford City despite conceding two goals in his only top-flight appearance for Newcastle as a substitute at Brentford.

Although he has only started a small number of times for Newcastle in each competition, his displays still offered a few hints about the differences between Pope and his.

According to Opta, Ramsdale has made nearly twice as many successful passes (24.3%) and long passes (76.46) per 90 minutes, making his passing accuracy on average 21.3% higher than Pope’s this year.

During Ramsdale’s crucial loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in 2019, his ability to play out of the back quickly struck AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Ashley Bayes.

He said, “He has personality, character, and that.” His biggest strength is his distribution, which he uses very effectively, and his on-the-flying style.

He enjoys it because he had to play for various teams. At Southampton, he learned a lot, and at Arsenal, too.

There are always two sides, they say.

It is easy to overlook the fact that Pope has endured for a long time.

Making a direct comparison based on such a small sample size is not realistic, but he has a higher save percentage (77.9%) per 90 minutes than Ramsdale this year.

Pope has also completed almost twice as many keeper sweeps as Opta has defined them as attempts to either cut out an attacking pass or close down an opposing player.

Of course, one of those rushes backfired against Marseille.

However, Howe’s statement that Pope had a “very strong season “aside from” a few high-profile moments came to an end as the news conference came to an end felt revealing.

Isn’t there always a second side, as it is said? “he said”. His goalkeeping is actually very good, in my opinion. His incredible shot-stopping.

“Many of his saves are underappreciated and fly under the radar,” he said.
