Angry Ginge hailed as perfect ‘role model’ for young men after jungle confession

Angry Ginge has been hailed as a ‘ role model ‘ by many online after Michelle Elman, life coach, author, and influencer, praised him for having ‘ game-changing ‘ chats

Angry Ginge is capturing the hearts of a new generation during his stint in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and his latest confession has even more people praising him.

Life coach, author and influencer Michelle Elman, who has written books like ‘The Joy of Being Selfish’ and ‘Bad Friend,’ explained that she thought Angry Ginge’s confession about being sober was really important. She said it was “actually game-changing” that the “24-year-old man” had specifically said the words “I don’t need alcohol in order to have a personality.”

It’s a simple enough statement – but it makes a huge impact. This is because there are so many boys and young men looking up to him that will internalise what he says.

Michelle said: “In a society and a culture that is so focused on pub culture, drinking culture, binge drinking culture in particular]his words are so important]”.

She said “having those three generations talk about their own experiences, all slightly different, and being open about the stigma they face for being boring for not drinking is huge”.

Michelle shared that as a life coach, one of the main insecurities that she hears about is people going sober and then “worrying about dating”. This is especially when they’re single, because “someone might find them unattractive” for not being perceived to let their hair down.

She also said people worry they won’t be able to bag a second date with someone because “they’re teetotal” or because they choose to “drink less”.

Michelle added: “Having this openness on TV, especially for someone who is very popular with younger men, it’s demonstrating that you can be cool, you can be popular, and you can be sober”.

The author believes this is when the ITV show is “at its best” as it shows important conversations people are having in life. And judging by her comments section on Instagram, people were equally as moved by the on-screen moment.

In the comments, someone wrote: “I loved seeing the conversation around sobriety (as someone is over two years in) and how they were all so honest and open about it. Hopefully it makes a difference to someone younger than me”!

Another gushed: “Angry Ginge is HUGE for the younger male demographic. He has a fantastic role model and is a part of a very well-known television program. Both of my daughters are typically too cool to watch boys (18 andamp; 20) having relationships. Both are LOCKED IN to watch Angry Ginge, and I totally agree with what you say.

Bangladesh 5.5-magnitude earthquake – what we know so far

At least five people were killed and many others were hurt in Bangladesh’s immediate vicinity of Dhaka, the government said on Friday.

What we currently know is as follows.

What transpired?

Bangladesh was struck by a magnitude 5.5 earthquake at 10:38 a.m. (04:38 GMT), according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). 26 seconds of shaking was experienced.

Shadman Sakif Islam, a resident of Dhaka, claimed that as the earthquake started to spread, “a massive shake” started to appear as a result of “small ripples” he noticed in his coffee.

He continued, “My chair and the table started shaking wildly, and I was stuck there for ten to fifteen seconds without thinking about what was happening.”

He continued, “I’ve never felt this way in my entire life; I felt like going on a boat and going through massive waves one after another.”

Following an earthquake in Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 21, 2025, residents fled their homes and were standing near collapsed scaffolding.

Where did the earthquake strike in Bangladesh?

Near Narsingdi, which is 33 kilometers (16 miles) from Dhaka, the tremor was felt. The quake’s aftermath caused extensive damage to numerous buildings in Dhaka.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the epicentre was in Madhabdi, in Narsingdi.

More than 325 kilometers (roughly 200 miles) away from the epicentre, the tremors could be felt in the nearby Indian city of Kolkata. There haven’t been any reports of injuries there.

In Bangladesh, how common are earthquakes?

Bangladesh is seismically vulnerable because it is close to the Indian, Eurasian, and Burmese tectonic plates and is therefore seismically vulnerable. However, earthquakes do not occur frequently in Bangladesh.

According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred near Sylhet in northeastern Bangladesh in 2023. No serious injuries or harm from the earthquake were reported.

A magnitude 6. 1 earthquake struck the Indian-Myanmar border in 2021. Chittagong and Cox, Bangladesh, both felt tremors. In Bangladesh, there haven’t been any confirmed deaths.

The scale’s magnitude is determined using a logarithmic scale, which means that for every whole-number increase on the scale, the magnitude increases by a factor of 10 for each digit increase.

GB’s Weston wins World Cup opener on Olympics track

International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation

Great Britain’s Matt Weston kicked off his skeleton World Cup campaign in perfect fashion by winning Friday’s opening race of the season in Cortina.

The 28-year-old finished 0.15 seconds ahead of Austria’s Samuel Maier after the two runs to earn his 10th World Cup gold medal.

Weston’s start times of 4.78 and 4.76 seconds were only 24th and 18th quickest in the pack, leaving him with an uphill struggle to make the podium.

But two-time world champion Weston made up the deficit through the 16-corner track, to win with a time of one minute and 53.84 seconds and claim his 21st podium finish in his past 25 races.

with a time of one minute and 53.84 seconds in Cortina.

A hamstring injury saw Weston miss a pre-season training camp in Norway.

“I’m not able to push at anywhere near my usual pace but I feel like I’ve really clicked with the track and that showed”, said Weston.

“To start 24th and then 18th but still get the win proves that my sliding was on point even though I’ve missed out on a lot of ice time because of the injury”.

Weston was particularly pleased with his victory because it came at the venue that will be used in February’s Winter Olympic Games.

“It’s been an incredible two or three weeks here – it’s an amazing venue and a really interesting track – and I’m already looking forward to trying to match today’s result when we come back for the big one”, said Weston.

“I know that this result won’t mean anything come the Olympics but it’s a great way to start the season and it will definitely give me confidence when we come back here in February”.
