David Beckham has thanked his wife, Victoria Beckham, for giving him ‘four beautiful children’ amid the family feud with eldest son, Brooklyn. The Beckham family, minus Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, celebrated the release of Victoria’s new Netflix documentary this week.
Given the ongoing feud in the Beckham family, Brooklyn was not expected to feature in this doc or be mentioned. But he does make a fleeting appearance. During the premiere, Victoria made sure to thank the aspiring chef and former aspiring photographer in her opening speech.
Speaking on stage, she said: “I’d like to thank the Spice Girls, Geri, Emma, Melanie and Melanie, I love you so much and thank you so much; my children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper and David.”

When the crowd laughed at Victoria implying David was her child, she gasped: “Oh my God, he’s not a child! I was doing so well without cards as well. It’s taken me this process to be proud of what I’ve achieved and to realise finally that I am enough.”
After the family affair at Curzon cinema, David took to his Instagram to share a video of him dancing with the love of his life to Whitney Houston’s hit song How Will I Know at the premiere’s after party.
He wrote: “I love you Mrs Beckham for many reasons, for being my wife, for giving me 4 beautiful children, for making my vitamins each day & for bringing your story to life.
“I’m very proud of the journey you have been on and continue to go on and to show people the struggles that helped get you here… you should be very proud.
“And for the record you can make a Ham&Cheese sandwich very well. We love you x @victoriabeckham.”
An emotional Victoria wrote: “I’m crying happy tears. I love you so much.” Not long before, David shared snaps from the red carpet as he praised his wife.
He wrote: “Such a special evening celebrating Victoria Beckham on Netflix. We love you so much and can’t wait for people to watch and see just how much of a warm, loving and hard working person you are… we are so proud.”
Meanwhile, nepo baby couple Brooklyn and Nicola managed around five seconds on screen in the new Netflix series as they were shown arriving for Victoria’s fashion show in 2024 in Paris shortly before the rift began.
It is a heartbreaking glimpse of the son Victoria and David are now estranged from following a rift which has continued throughout 2025.

Celebrity Traitors star Charlotte Church has found a new passion in life practicing witchcraft and offers a course at her retreat to help others ‘heal the witch wound’ and connect to magic

These days Charlotte guides her guests in witchcraft
She is currently on TV screens starring in Celebrity Traitors with 18 other celebrities, including Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Paloma Faith, but off screen Charlotte Church has turned to a very different pursuit.
The Voice of an Angel singing sensation set up a wellness centre in Wales a couple of years ago at a beautiful country house where she guides guests through immersive experiences such as breathwork, forest bathing and creative expression.
She has been working as a sound healer at the retreat for some time but has just branched out into a whole new area – witchcraft.

The Dreaming’s website offers a variety of experiences for guests to enrol in, with the newest being Witch. The “enchanting” five-day retreat is for “17 souls ready to embody their magic through ritual, nature and deep witchcraft practices”.
Charlotte, 39, is one of two high priestesses who lead the course which is described as an “immersive retreat designed to activate the witch within: blending ancient wisdom, elemental magic, and deep self-exploration.”
The website goes on to explain how it works: “Led by singer and spiritual guide Charlotte Church and High Priestess and author Tree Carr, this retreat is an opportunity to rekindle your craft through ritual, herbalism, dream-work, plant-spirit connection, meditation, sound and sacred art.
“We’ll awaken our witch’s voice through sound rituals woven with the rhythms of nature. Chanting at dawn, humming at dusk, invoking breath and tone, we align our magic with the sun, the land and the unseen. These are not songs to perform but spells to cast, prayers to plant and vibrations to stir the wild world awake,” it reads.

In an accompanying video Charlotte is seen staring in wonder up through the trees while walking barefoot through mud in the forest. “I need you to remember, listen closely, listen deep,” she whispers mystically. “Do you hear the whisperings of your blood?”
As a haunting tune is sung in the background, presumably by Charlotte, she sings, “the ancient understanding in your bones” and asks, “do you remember beloved? Can you feel her? The priestess is rising.” At the end of the video she can be seen dancing in a circle with others who are wearing headdresses, flowing tunics and face paint while they play instruments.
Charlotte has completely embraced her new life working at The Dreaming where she also works as a sound healer “I’m doing stuff at The Dreaming, which is really about pulling out the strands of how sound can be used for healing, how voice can be used for healing. I wanna sort of try and meld this idea of music and healing, and voice and healing, with that joy and ecstasy.”
She has previously discussed how taking magic mushrooms helped her get in tune with nature. She revealed she first took the hallucinogenic drug which can be eaten or made into a tea, in her 20s. “When I was about 27, I took magic mushrooms for the first time,” she told The Skylark. “That experience created a different sort of connection, a deeper understanding, far more intrinsic and connected to patterns. You can never unsee or unfeel that connection once it happens. Ever since then I’ve been diving deeper and deeper into my spiritual journey – the idea of the unseen world, the wonder, awe, and power of nature.”
Recently she spoke to Martha Kearney on her BBC Radio 4 podcast about the drug. “My relationship with nature started to blossom partly when I had kids and then partly when I first took magic mushrooms for the first time,” she said. “When I took magic mushrooms, everything, everything in nature just opened up and began communicating. When you see that you can’t unsee it.”
When Charlotte acquired The Dreaming she spoke about wanting to have a change of path and how she knew she wanted to buy the property as soon as she saw it. “I didn’t want to have to make a living from showbusiness any longer,” she explained. “I wanted to make art and music, but not be reliant on celebrity; to live more in line with my values.”
Charlotte and second husband Jonathan Powell bought Rhydoldog, the former idyllic home of designer Laura Ashley, back in 2021 and opened it as wellness centre, The Dreaming, in 2023. It is set in 47 acres of ancient woodland, which is described as, “a haven nestled in magical lands of Wales” which is, “the perfect setting for witches to reconnect with the old ways”.
A four-night stay costs £3,000 in what is called luxury accommodation. Home cooked food and drinks are included in the price as is access to the home, gardens, land and plunge pools. According to the centre’s Instagram the first retreat in June this year sold out so more dates were added. The next Witch retreat runs in early December, with two more scheduled for 2026.
Despite this, The Dreaming is reported to be struggling to make a profit. After making a whopping £25million from her singing career, last year Charlotte admitted she is no longer a millionaire. She was said to have been forced to sell her home and downsize to a semi-detached house.
She and her family lived in a huge mansion, The Spinney, in Dinas Powys, Wales. She is believed to have paid £1.3million for it in 2010 and made almost a million profit when it sold for £2million. Charlotte had previously told Closer about the school she ran from the “beautiful” property. “We had a school there for a bit and a studio,” she said. “When it is used by the community, it makes sense, but when it is not used, it doesn’t.”
Algeria have become the 20th team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup – and at least seven more of the 48 places will be decided this week.
Asia and Africa are where all of the latest guaranteed spots will come from, with two from Asia and five more from Africa up for grabs.
Mohamed Salah scored twice on Wednesday as Egypt beat Djibouti 3-0 to seal their place at a fourth World Cup.
Algeria joined them on Thursday with Riyad Mahrez scoring in a 3-0 Group G win over bottom side Somalia.
It will be their first World Cup appearance since 2014, when they beat South Korea and drew with Russia before losing 2-1 after extra-time to Germany in the last 16.
While no countries in North and Central America or Europe are guaranteed to qualify this month, it is mathematically possible for some countries to do so.
England are in the strongest position from Europe to qualify. A win against Latvia next Tuesday could guarantee their place if other results in the group go their way.
Joint hosts Canada, Mexico and the United States were all granted automatic qualification for the World Cup.
Australia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, South Korea and Uzbekistan have already qualified from Asia.
Oceania’s one direct qualification spot has been taken by New Zealand.
Tunisia and Morocco join Egypt and Algeria, with four African teams so far having confirmed qualification.
Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia are the South American nations currently guaranteed a place.
Uzbekistan and Jordan will also be playing at a World Cup finals for the first time.
While they have not qualified for the tournament in full, Bolivia and New Caledonia are two of the six nations confirmed to take part in the inter-confederation play-offs in March 2026.

How does World Cup qualifying work?
Each of Fifa’s six confederations use different methods of qualification to determine which nations out of each continent qualify for the World Cup.
Oceania is currently the only continent to have completed its direct qualification process for next year’s World Cup.
Of the 48 teams at the tournament, three places are given to the host nations and 43 of them are earned via direct qualification from the six confederations.

The Concacaf qualifying takes a different look, with three of their biggest hitters not involved as they have qualified as hosts – but still plenty of spots up for grabs.

The winners of each group go to the World Cup and the two best-ranked runners-up going into the intercontinental play-offs.
Europe

Teams already through: None.
There are 12 groups – with the winners of each group qualifying for the World Cup and the 12 runners-up going into play-offs with the four best-ranked Uefa Nations League group winners that have not already qualified – for four extra places.
Europe is the only continent that does not have a team in the intercontinental play-offs.
Qualifying started in March – with some teams not even playing their first qualifiers until this month because of the Nations League.
The groups end in November, with the play-offs in March 2026.
Oceania
Qualifying places: One, plus one nation into intercontinental play-offs.
Teams already through: New Zealand.
Oceania qualifying has already ended – with New Zealand beating New Caledonia 3-0 in the final.
New Zealand go through to the World Cup automatically, as a result of the expanded World Cup. Oceania usually only gets a play-off spot.
Who is on the brink of qualifying?
Asia’s next two places will be confirmed in October, with the winners of the two fourth-round groups qualifying.
England will secure qualification next month if they beat Latvia, and Serbia drop points in either of their matches against Albania and Andorra.
In Africa, five more places will be decided this month from the final two rounds of qualification matches.
Senegal need to win both matches or hope Democratic Republic of Congo drop points in their last two games in Group B.
South Africa need four points from their last two matches, with Benin, Nigeria and Rwanda all mathematically able to still win Group C.
In Group D, a win for Cape Verde in their final match at home to Eswatini would take them through. They can be caught in the final round of fixtures by Cameroon.
In Group F, a point separates Ivory Coast and Gabon going into the last two matches. Maximum points for Ivory Coast would guarantee their place, while any dropped points could allow Gabon to overtake them.
Ghana would guarantee a place ahead of Madagascar and Comoros if they pick up four points from their final matches against Comoros and the Central African Republic.
Two places will go to the six teams in the intercontinental play-offs that are played in March 2026. Bolivia and New Caledonia are the confirmed entrants so far.

Algeria secured a 3-0 victory over Somalia and qualified for the 2026 World Cup on Thursday as Wolfsburg’s Mohamed Amoura netted two goals.
Riyad Mahrez, who assisted Amoura both times, also scored to bolster the win at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran and make Algeria the fourth African qualifiers after Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt.
Algeria led Group G with 22 points from nine matches, four ahead of their closest pursuers Uganda with just one match remaining — booking their fifth appearance at the global showpiece next year.

Amoura volleyed a Mahrez cross into the net on six minutes, then the former Manchester City winger slammed a loose ball into the net midway through the opening half to put Algeria firmly in control against Somalia.
Mahrez turned creator again on 57 minutes, setting up Amoura to stretch the lead to three goals.
The two-time Africa Cup of Nations winners are coached by Vladimir Petkovic, who inherited the team from Djamel Belmadi following his sacking last year.
Belmadi had led Algeria to win the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, earning him the title “minister of happiness” during a time of mass protests in the North African country.
But after missing out on the 2022 World Cup and losing two consecutive group-stage matches at the 2022 and 2024 AFCON editions, Belmadi’s tenure came to an end.
Petkovic coached Switzerland to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.
Currently ranked 38th in the world, Algeria first appeared at the World Cup in Spain 1982, when they famously beat West Germany 2–1 but were controversially eliminated in the group stage.
Ronnie O’Sullivan says he isn’t taking his current form “for granted” despite a comprehensive 5-0 win against Scotland’s Stephen Maguire at the Xi’an Grand Prix.
The seven-time world champion, who has impressed in his first tournament since August, needed just over an hour to book his spot in the last 16.
O’Sullivan started the match with a break of 134 and compiled runs of 70, 63 and 85 for a resounding success as Maguire managed just 25 points.
The 49-year-old has dropped just one game across his three matches in China and will face Wales’ Jak Jones for a place in the quarter-finals.
But the Englishman refused to get carried away by his formidable form as he told the World Snooker Tour: “I feel like I’ve played great all season.
“But like I always say, this game has a way of humbling you. I’m very, very happy with my game, but talk to me in two, three, four weeks or two months – I’ll be ‘the game’s really hard, really difficult’.
Defending champion Kyren Wilson takes on Shaun Murphy in the last 16 after they beat Chinese pair Yuan Sijun and Wu Yize respectively.
Neil Robertson, ranked third in the world, made breaks of 126 and 103, but was edged out in a 5-4 defeat against He Guoqiang, who meets England’s Gary Wilson next.
World number 64 Oliver Lines’ dream run continues after a narrow 5-4 victory against fellow Englishman Elliot Slessor.
Lines, 30, has only gone beyond the fourth round at a ranking tournament once in his career and goes up against China’s Ding Junhui for a place in the last eight.
“He’s much more popular today than we he was five days ago.” US President Donald Trump said Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu “should be very popular right now” because of the US-backed ceasefire, but if he is voted out of office, “that’s politics”.
