Victoria Beckham’s ‘luxurious’ eyeshadow that ‘doesn’t crease on old eyes’

‘Fabulous shade and sparkle that takes me from day to night’

Eyeshadow can be tough to master, especially for older beauty fans. Creases along the eyelids can make it hard to achieve a smooth, even finish when applying the eye makeup product.

Some formulas can start caking and emphasise even the tiniest fine lines. Thankfully, there are some easy-gliding products that have been approved by mature shoppers, including one from Victoria Beckham’s eponymous-named beauty brand.

The Lid Lustre from Victoria Beckham Beauty has been praised by shoppers in their 50s and 60s who have reviewed it online. This shimmering eyeshadow, costing £36, comes in eight gorgeous shades that are said to offer a buildable, lustrous finish with no fall-out. It’s also available to buy at Space NK.

One of the most stunning shades is Honey, said to be Victoria’s favourite – along with Tea Rose, which delivers a warm rose-gold hue. Many shoppers have raved about Chiffon, a ‘reflective champagne’ colour that looks perfect for brightening up any makeup look, and Mink, described as a taupe brown.

The crystal-infused, fine pressed shimmer eyeshadow claims to be formulated with real crystal extracts, to bring ‘fresh energy’ to any look. Containing skin-loving ingredients to boost moisture, Lid Lustre delivers glistening pigment in a single swipe, according to the brand.

Another said: “As someone a little older, I have a hard time finding a shimmer eye shadow that doesn’t look ridiculous. This one looks sophisticated, the feel of the product is really lush, and the effect is gorgeous. The jar is pretty darn luxurious, too, with a nice heavy weight and tortoise-look cap.”

Yet, someone else mentioned that the Lid Lustre was ‘not easy to apply’ and gave it only three stars. Their review reads: “I love VB products in general – especially the eyeliners and lip tints – but this one is not it. When I put on with my finger, it cakes on my eye lids. When I put on with a brush, there’s tons of fallout. I must need a tutorial or something.”

Everything to know about Nick Reiner’s charges and whether he faces the death penalty

  • Rob and Michele Reiner’s son, Nick, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The 32-year-old was arrested on Sunday at 21:15 local time in Los Angeles and officially booked the following morning. He is accused of murdering his parents, who were found dead at their home in the Brentwood area. Both Rob and Michele had their throats slit.
  • He has been remanded in custody since his arrest. On Tuesday, Nick was officially charged but was not given medical clearance to appear in court. He’s expected to make his first in-person appearance later today. But reports claim that he is now under the “supervision of the jail mental evaluation team” at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Downtown Los Angeles.
  • On Tuesday, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that Nick had been formally charged. He said: “I’m here to announce that our office will be filing charges against Nick Reiner accused of killing his parents. These charges will be two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife.”
  • The charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. Along with the two counts of first-degree murder, prosecutors added special circumstances of multiple murders and a special allegation that the defendant used a dangerous weapon, a knife. The additions could mean a greater sentence.
  • However, no decision has yet been made in respect of the death penalty. In the past year, there have been 46 executions in the United States, with a further two planned for this year. President Donald Trump has been vocal about his support for the death penalty. But, no prisoners in California have been executed since Clarence Ray Allen was given the lethal injection on January 17, 2006. Nathan Hochman explained that he would be willing to allow prosecutors to seek capital punishment. He did, however, say that these would be “exceedingly rare cases”.
  • Nick is believed to have checked into the Pierside Santa Monica at around 4am after leaving a party, where he had argued with his father. Staff discovered that the shower was “full of blood” and there was a trail leading from his bed, with bedsheets also covering the windows. Nick and Michele’s dead bodies were discovered less than 11 hours later by their daughter, Romy, at 3:30pm on Sunday. He did not resist when he was arrested hours later in the Exposition Park area near the University of Southern California, about 14 miles (22.5 kilometres) from the crime scene, police said.

Fubara Discloses Amount Ibas Left In Rivers State Coffers

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s uncompromising stance on financial discipline, insisting that prudent management of public resources remains central to his leadership.

He disclosed that before the period of emergency rule, over ₦300 billion was reserved in the state’s coffers, adding that on his return, he met a balance of about ₦600 billion.

Fubara assured that within six months, his administration would present clear and verifiable evidence detailing how public funds are being deployed.

He made the declaration during the commissioning of the 14.2-kilometre Obodhi–Ozochi Road, a strategic artery linking long-neglected communities in Ahoada East and Ahoada West Local Government Areas.

Fubara dismissed misconceptions surrounding the management of state funds, attributing them partly to his deliberate preference for executing projects without flamboyant public flag-off ceremonies.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara

He noted that several projects with far-reaching benefits are currently underway across the state, beyond those being commissioned.

The Governor maintained that his administration’s records on accountability and financial management are unassailable, insisting that no fair-minded observer could fault its transparency.

He emphasized that every available resource is being deployed strictly in the interest of Rivers State and its people, assuring that the visible transformation across the state stands as proof of prudent and responsible governance.

According to him, the Obodhi-Ozochi road project was originally initiated by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, as a political incentive to mobilise support during the 2023 general elections through a former lawmaker and his erstwhile Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.

The Rivers leader said Ehie delivered decisively on that assignment, making it necessary not only to complete the road but to expand its scope beyond the original design.

The project was therefore extended by an additional 4.2 kilometres, bringing its total length to 14.2 kilometres.

The Governor also immediately approved the community’s request for the construction of internal roads.

He charged Edison Ehie to convert the massive turnout witnessed at the commissioning event into sustained political support for President Bola Tinubu.
