Married At First Sight’s Ryan Gallagher and Emily Seebohm split as he moves on

Married At First Sight stars Ryan Gallagher confirmed his separation from Emily Seebohm in an Instagram post where he also gives fans a breakdown of his recent date

Married At First Sight Australia’s Ryan Gallagher and Emily Seebohm have called time on their engagement. They were hailed as one of the most successful couples of their series back in 2020.

The couple, who share a son named Sampson, has been the subject of speculation over recent months regarding the status of their romance. And now, in an Instagram post, Ryan made the decision to share the heartbreaking news with his followers. Within his post, he also recalled a date he had gone on that did not go according to plan.

The reality TV star, 37, who is once again looking for love, revealed: “I went on a date on Sunday, I don’t go on too many dates, I’ve only just sort of started doing that. “

He added: “We went to the movies and I was starving—I hadn’t eaten and she’d already eaten. During the movie, I got a slider and chips, but it wasn’t one of those loud movies, it was like a quiet one.”

Instead of chewing his food normally, to avoid the annoying chewing sound, he opted to swallow his food.

He continued: “I tried to clear it, and as I did, I burped, and it was pretty loud. Lo and behold, she said our energies didn’t align, which I didn’t think they did, either. It worked out OK, but when she sent me that message, she said she didn’t want to go on another date, and then I got out of my car and a bird s*** on my face.”

Speaking about being back on the dating scene after appearing on a reality TV show, Ryan added: “I’ve always said whenever they do casting for reality, they literally drive a bus to the mental ward and go, “Quick, get in, we’ll take you on a ride,” and then they go and start filming. We’re all a bit… I wouldn’t say out there, but I’m a bit hyper. And if I’m on a date and I get a bit nervous, I think I’m a little bit more hyper, which doesn’t do anyone any favours, especially me.”

And this is perhaps why he believes that those who decide to join reality TV shows such as MAFS tend to date one another as they share the same mindset.

He went on to say: “I think that’s why you also find a lot of people in reality date each other, because it’s just crackers and crackers meet each other and sometimes it works. I know it didn’t work in my case.”

Ryan and Emily appeared on the show in 2018 which aired two years later. But their relationship appeared to be on a downward spiral as many noticed the fragility of their romance in April.

The first tell-tale sign was they unfollowed each other on Instagram. And according to Sky News Australia, the couple realised their relationship was not working two years after their son was born. The source told the broadcaster at then time: “

Ryan and Emily are trying to find a new normal, which has been a real process. Their number one priority is Sampson and ensuring he continues to feel supported by both parents. They haven’t felt the need to make public statements.”

Adam Peaty’s heartbroken mum sold things to raise cash to buy dress for wedding

Adam Peaty’s heartbroken mother, Caroline, has revealed she resorted to selling things on Vinted in order to raise enough cash to buy a dress for his wedding, before she was uninvited

Adam Peaty’s mum was forced to sell things to raise cash for his wedding. In recent months, the Olympian and his family have endured a strained relationship, and it has reached a crisis point.

His family, apart from his sister, have been uninvited to his upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay next month. But tensions started brewing a while back, according to his devastated mother, Caroline. Last weekend, Holly, the daughter of chef Gordon and his wife Tana, enjoyed her hen do at Shoreditch House, surrounded by her glamorous friends and family.

Meanwhile, Team GB icon Adam’s mum was at home in Uttoxeter, looking after his son from a previous relationship. Adam was also in Budapest for his stag do, with guests including his soon-to-be father-in-law, but sources have claimed that Caroline didn’t fit the image of Holly and her pals, meaning she wasn’t included.

However, Caroline had been extremely excited for his wedding, but now faces the devastating reality of not being there. Prior to their fallout, Adam had offered to pay for all of her costs, including dress, shoes, nails and hair. Caroline said she would have needed four dresses for the entire event.

She had chosen a cream dress, which she had hoped to wear with navy blue accessories. “He told me ‘Only a bride wears white,’ to which I replied ‘It’s not white, it’s cream,'” she told the Daily Mail. While Caroline has returned this dress, she has kept one.

She decided to keep a gold two-piece with a matching fascinator and the shoes, which she had paired with the dress, which cost a staggering £452. Speaking of the dress and how she afforded it, Caroline revealed: “Do you know how I raised that money? I sold some things on Vinted.”

Despite the fallout, Caroline admits that she still very much loves her son and he will always be welcome at their family home in Staffordshire. She revealed that on her journey home after dropping Adam’s son off with his mother, she felt as though she “didn’t want to live” anymore.

“This has broken me,” she told the outlet. Adam’s older brother, James, affectionately known as Jim, was asked to be a groomsman at the wedding on December 27, but he has also been uninvited. Earlier this week, James was arrested and later bailed after allegedly sending threats to Adam while he was on his stag do.

Sources have claimed that Adam’s mother, Caroline, has been enabling James’ alleged behaviour. They went on to add that he had no intentions of harming his brother. Caroline’s sister, Louise, has also hit out at her nephew and Holly on social media. She fumed: “Yes. Adam is a born-again Christian. He’s not living by the tenets of Christianity is he? Where is ‘honour thy mother and thy father’ where is the forgiveness?”

Addressing Holly and Adam saying she had to wear a different dress for the event, Louise commented: “How can Adam and Holly ‘source’ sit there and say Caroline wasn’t invited because of the way my sister looks? She doesn’t suit the look Holly is looking for?! WTF body shaming a 60-year-old woman! Jesus Christ on a cracker!”

Holly and Adam are yet to comment on the family feud, despite attempts from the Mirror.

Ex-Banker Arraigned For Alleged Criminal Diversion Of Customer’s $510,000

The Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC (EFCC), on Thursday arraigned one Obinna Nwaobi, a former Head of Operations at Access Bank Nigeria Plc, on a nine-count charge bordering on forgery and criminal diversion of $510, 000, belonging to a customer of the bank.

A statement by the Commission said he was arraigned before Justice F. O. Giwa-Ogunbanjo of the Federal High Court sitting in Independence Layout, Enugu State.

Count seven of the charge reads: “That you, Obinna Nwaobi while being (Head of Operations) of Access Bank Nigeria Plc, Enugu branch on or about the 8th day of August, 2024 in Enugu State, within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, induced Access Bank Nigeria Plc to transfer a total sum of Five Hundred and Ten Thousand United States Dollars ($510, 000. 00) from LANTERN GATE NIGERIA LIMITED Access Bank Account number 0761770127 under the false pretence that Lantern Gate Nigeria Limited gave her consent and mandate for the said transfer which petence you knew to be false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (b) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act”.

Count eight of the charge reads: “That you, Obinna Nwaobi while being (Head of Operations) of Access Bank Plc, Enugu branch on or about the eight day of August, 2024 in Enugu State, within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, knowingly forged a document to Wit: “Access Bank Domestic Fund Transfer Form “D”, dated 28th August 2024, knowing same to be false and with intent that it may be acted upon as genuine to the prejudice of Access Bank Plc and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (2) (a) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2004 and punishable under Section 1 (2) of the same Act”.

The defendant pleaded “not guilty” to all the charges when they were read to him.

However, defence counsel, F. C. Obinna, informed the court about a bail application before it, dated October 24, 2025, and supported by an 8-paragraph affidavit.

He adopted the same and prayed the court to admit his client to bail. Reacting to the said application, counsel to the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE II Mainforce Adaka Ekwu, vehemently opposed the application via an 11-paragraph counter affidavit filed on November 12, 2025.

While relying on the said counter affidavit, the prosecution urged the court to refuse the said application because “the quality of evidence we have in our proof of evidence might put fear in him and he might want to abscond”.

After listening to both parties, the court granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250 Million (Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) and three sureties in like sum. Two of the sureties shall have landed properties in Enugu State, and the papers of the said properties must be submitted to the court.

“The third surety shall be a relative of the defendant, who shall deposit evidence of tax payment for three years. The defendant and the sureties shall deposit two passports each to the court, and the defendant shall deposit his international passport and National Identification Number to the court until the determination of this case.”

The matter was adjourned to March 10, 11, and 12, 2026, for trial, while the defendant was remanded at the facility of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Enugu.

The defendant’s case started on September 11, 2024, when the Commission received a petition from Access Bank Plc, alerting the EFCC of unauthorized transfers from its customer’s account.

I’m A Celeb’s Lisa Riley vows to marry partner – on one condition

Lisa Riley reveals why she’s going on I’m A Celebrity and what will finally make her tie the knot with her boyfriend Al after being engaged for seven years

As Lisa Riley approaches her 50th birthday, she’s checking two important things off her bucket list. The first is going on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The second is marrying her partner, Al.

Ant and Dec will kick off I’m A Celeb ’s 25th series on Sunday night, with Lisa heading an all-star line up also expected to include Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp and Alex Scott. “Year, after year, after year, they’ve asked me to do it but this year everything felt aligned,” shares Lisa. “It’s the 30th anniversary of Mandy Dingle and then I’m 50 in July and I thought, you know, what a wonderful thing to do in my 50th year.”

Lisa was signed up to the show in April for a reported £95,000 and has kept it a secret from everyone except her co-star Dominic Brunt, who plays her on-screen love Paddy Kirk, and Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw, who agreed to briefly write Mandy out. The trio has talked in code about the adventure, dubbing it Lisa’s “ Christmas trip to Cost-Co”.

“It’s been the best kept secret in the memory of man,” says Lisa. “Me and Dominic were endlessly using our codename of Cost-Co, saying we’re going to Cost-Co at Christmas, and it’s stuck. Dominic’s so proud of me.”

Emmerdale stars including Lucy Pargeter, Adam Thomas and Danny Miller have been on the show before and have given Lisa lots of advice. She’s already started following their directions to wean herself off coffee. “I’m on day eight with no caffeine,” sighs Lisa. “I drink coffee like it’s water. I don’t drink alcohol or smoke but I need coffee in my life. Days one, two, and three were hellish, but I’ve got through it and now I’m detoxing. I’m pure now.” Other advice focuses on sleeping arrangements and bodily functions.

“They’ve all said to try and go for a flat bed, not a hammock, and they’ve also warned me to tell my other campmates about my gas because with rice and beans that’s not going to help,” laughs Lisa. “In the Dingle Girls dressing room we have a hell of a lot of perfume!”

While lots of stars who go into the jungle prep by getting tweakments, haircuts and permanent make-up, Lisa isn’t bothered about how she looks – unlike her character, Mandy. “There is not one morsel of vanity in my body,” says Lisa, who is infuriated when she sees characters on TV waking up in full make-up. “I don’t like vanity on the telly, so I’m going to look minging. I’m going to look horrendous.”

However, she admits she’s not thrilled by the standard issue boots she’s been given to wear with her jungle uniform. “I swear to God, I look like a Rochdale bus driver,” says Lisa. “They’re not the most feminine things.”

With jungle fare including emu eggs, kangaroo and crocodile tail – if they’re lucky enough to win some Bushtucker Trials – Lisa is braced to lose some weight on the show and plans to acclimatise herself to a more limited diet as soon as she lands in Australia to avoid being hangry. “It’ll be time to lose a few pounds, for sure,” says Lisa. “Everyone loses weight in the jungle.”

Lisa isn’t looking forward to the trials and admits being buried alive and covered with rats is her worst nightmare, while the thought of stunts like jumping out of a helicopter terrifies her. Until the moment happens though, she’s simply not thinking about it. “I’ll take every day as it comes,” says Lisa. “I’m not an overthinker, that’s one thing I’ve realised about myself. I’ll have to deal with it there and yes, I will s**t myself. There’s no turning back then, is there?”

While bugs, grubs and stunts grab the headlines, the real hardship of the show is being parted from family and friends. Not talking to Al or her nieces and nephews worries Lisa the most. “Everyone talks about the trials, but for me the hardest thing will be not speaking to my loved ones,” says Lisa. “That’s going to be insanely hard for me.”

Waiting for Lisa when she leaves the jungle will be Al, her partner of 10 years, whose full name she has never revealed. “My Al will be there at the end of the bridge waiting for me,” says Lisa. “We have been talking about getting married. It’s really weird. If I get to the final, then yes, it would make sense this year that I’d come back with that and a wedding ring!”

It sounds like Lisa is finally ready to walk down the aisle, but she’ll have to wait for another break from Emmerdale . “I wouldn’t get married in Australia because I have to come straight back to Emmerdale ,” says Lisa. “They write me out for a chunk but I come straight back. The day after I land back in Leeds, I’m back on set.”

Al proposed to Lisa seven years ago in 2018 after four years together. Until now, Lisa has been the one putting off their big day because she always imagined getting married in the presence of her beloved mum, Cath, who died of cancer in 2012, leaving Lisa broken-hearted.

“The thought of having a wedding without my mum…” says Lisa. “I don’t think I could cope with it. What would be different in our lives [if we got married]? There are so many things we’ve done as a couple that make us feel solidified that are personal to us. But yes, if there was a time to do it, then this year would definitely be it.”

Hear’Say’s Noel Sullivan ‘hasn’t aged a day’ since Popstars fame 24 years ago

Hear’Say member Noel Sullivan has continued to perform on stage and act on-screen since the band disbanded more than 20 years ago, and still looks exactly as we remember him

Noel Sullivan, who shot to fame as part of the pop group Hear’Say, looks exactly the same more than two decades since finding fame. He’s remained in the spotlight and is happily married to a well-known choreographer.

The band Hear’Say, comprising Noel, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh, and Danny Foster, was formed on the ITV show Popstars in 2001. Their debut single, Pure and Simple, topped the UK Singles Chart upon its release that year, and their subsequent debut album, Popstars, enjoyed similar chart success.

After splitting up the following year, the band members have each carved out individual careers. Noel, now 45, has continued to perform, making a name for himself in musical theatre, including roles in West End productions of Grease and School of Rock.

He’s also been part of touring productions of shows like We Will Rock You and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. His most recent appearance in theatre was in a production of But I’m a Cheerleader: The Musical.

While Noel has performed in theatre productions all over the world, including shows in Jersey and Las Vegas, he also returned to music. In 2014, he released his debut album, Here I Go Again, which features covers of songs like Queen’s I Want to Break Free.

In addition, Noel has also dabbled in acting work on the small screen. He landed a supporting part in Ordinary Lies’ second series and even made a cameo appearance in the beloved comedy Gavin and Stacey.

More recently, he featured in the drama miniseries Years and Years in 2019, and was a guest on Heston’s Marvellous Menu: Back to the Noughties that same year. He’s also had a stint on Call the Midwife and portrayed a nurse in the daytime favourite Doctors.

This year, he starred as Prince Charles in the musical The Diana Mixtape. Away from fame, Noel kept his romantic relationships under wraps. It wasn’t until 2017 that he publicly came out as gay when he announced his marriage on Instagram to his “beautiful husband” and choreographer James Bennett.

Happily married to James, Noel regularly gives followers a glimpse into their life together through touching social media updates. One recent post saw the couple enjoying a sun-soaked getaway on an island in Southeast Asia called Borneo.

In a previous birthday tribute on social media, the singer revealed he battled “depression” during the period when he couldn’t be open about his identity. He wrote: “As a 19 year old, I was told to shut up about my sexuality. If I wanted a career, I had to be something else. Silent. It ruined me.

“No one was held accountable for the years of depression and self abuse that followed. It got to the point where I felt like I couldn’t speak out anymore because my time in the spotlight had passed and I assumed no one would care. It was a turbulent time but I took solace in my family and in theatre. Without the crazy, beautiful, supportive and talented people I worked with, lived with and performed for, I could never have found myself.

“After years of self doubt I finally feel free to say what I need to. Free to let go of the past, free to love myself. But most importantly, free to love. Thank you.”

Noel and James previously renovated a 16th-century property in France, which they purchased in 2020. Away from the renovation work, James operates as a choreographer and creative director.

James has lent his talents to popular shows, including Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent, throughout his career. He’s also collaborated with former Strictly pro Oti Mabuse on numerous projects, including her I Am Here tour, alongside routines for Dancing on Ice and The Greatest Dancer.

The duo mentored contestant Jowita Przystał, who’s now a professional dancer on Strictly, as she triumphed alongside Michael Danilczuk. But Noel and his husband aren’t just rubbing shoulders with professional dancers.

The singer himself has several famous mates, including a former Strictly finalist, Steps member Faye Tozer, and her spouse, Michael Smith. A few years ago, Faye and Michael visited the pair in France to check out their renovation project.

Olly Murs says ‘when I look back at it’ in honest update on feud with twin brother

Olly Murs made the admission while talking to Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch on The Therapy Crouch podcast, confessing that he’d been reflecting on his childhood after falling out with his twin brother

Olly Murs has made a rare admission about his estranged twin brother, confessing that it was “quite special growing up”. The ‘Troublemaker’ singer made the confession on The Therapy Crouch podcast with Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch in August. He discussed his brother, Ben, with whom he reportedly fell out after missing his wedding to compete in The X Factor in 2009.

The pop star, who welcomed a son named Albert in September (his second child with wife Amelia), chatted about his new arrival. The conversation led to the topic of “Irish twins”, a term for siblings born less than 12 months apart.

This prompted Olly to reveal that he’s a twin himself, but he emphasised that he and his brother haven’t “spoken for a long time”.

He said: “Well, I’m a twin, I’m a twin. Yeah, no one ever…I mean, yeah, me and my brother. Yeah, we haven’t spoken for a long time, but yeah, we were twins growing up, yeah.”

Realising his mistake, Olly humorously clarified their relationship: “I say, ‘We were twins’; we’re still twins, but no, we…”, before Abbey asked if they were identical.

He responded: “No, different eggs, yeah. Amazing, yeah. So, very special; twins are amazing. Like, when I look back at it, it was quite special growing up.”

Olly rarely discusses the falling out with his brother, which reportedly saw Ben branding him a “self-obsessed sell out” after Olly missed his wedding, where he was set to be best man.

Speaking to the Sunday People in 2009, Ben said: “Our family was torn apart because of X Factor. It was clear that people like Simon Cowell were more important to him than me.”

Meanwhile, Olly addressed his absence from the wedding on The Voice, emotionally telling fellow coach Will.i.am (of Black Eyed Peas fame): “I was on X Factor and I couldn’t make his wedding because I was on the show.”

In other news, Olly recently admitted that the “honeymoon period’s definitely gone” in his marriage, “but in a fun way”. The 41-year-old, who tied the knot with Amelia Tank in 2022, noted a change in tone with his new album.

Article continues below

He shared: “I wrote an album three years ago, and it was the Marry Me album. It was when we had no children, so it was like a honeymoon period. So it was like: ‘Oh, I love you. You’re amazing. You’re incredible’.

“This album, I was able to be a little bit more cheekier with it. So when people hear it, the honeymoon period’s definitely gone, but in a fun way. We’re talking about other things in the music, but still celebrating my love for her.”
