Romeo Beckham’s emotional tribute to ‘Sir Dad’ David as Brooklyn’s silence speaks volumes

Romeo Beckham has paid tribute to his dad on Instagram as Sir David Beckham was knighted by King Charles III today for his sporting and charity contributions to the United Kingdom

Romeo Beckham has paid a touching tribute to his father following the football legend’s long-awaited knighthood, but fans couldn’t help noticing one key absence from his post.

The model, 22, shared a family photo from Windsor Castle, where he could be seen proudly posing alongside his mum Victoria, siblings Cruz and Harper, and their newly titled dad Sir David Beckham.

All four stood to attention proudly beside the former England captain, who finally received the honour from King Charles for his services to sport and charity.

Romeo captioned the heartfelt post: “No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx. Congrats Sir dad.” Followers loved his message, but many were also quick to point out that David’s eldest son, Brooklyn, was missing from the special scene.

One fan commented: “Such a great honour and for Brooklyn not to show is pretty terrible”! Another added: “Perfect photo, it’s such a shame your other son wasn’t in this photo also xx”.

Others gushed over the touching moment, writing: “This is just everything”, and “Congratulations! Well deserved, David! Nation’s treasure”.

Being knighted by King Charles at Windsor Castle was a milestone moment for Beckham, 50, who has been a UNICEF ambassador for two decades and was a driving force behind the London 2012 Olympics.

But Brooklyn, 26, was noticeably absent from both the ceremony and Romeo’s post. The rift between Brooklyn and his parents is believed to have begun around the time of Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz.

The lavish Palm Beach celebration was said to have been marred by behind-the-scenes disagreements between the bride and Victoria Beckham over Nicola’s choice of dress.

Since then, Brooklyn has been absent from many major family milestones. He missed David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and skipped both Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show and the premiere of her Netflix documentary.

The last time Brooklyn was pictured with the family was during Christmas 2024, and since then, the relationship he has with his mum and dad appears to have become more strained.

Victoria recently hinted at the strain in an interview with The Sunday Times, while addressing the Gallagher brothers ‘ long-running feud. She said: “I just think their mum must be so happy, it must have been really tough on the mum, the boys not talking for all those years”.

Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows earlier this summer in a 200-guest ceremony, but none of the Beckhams were invited. Even Romeo and Cruz were reportedly left off the guest list after a few teasing social media exchanges that insiders claim were taken out of context.

Friends of Brooklyn and Nicola insist their “door is open” and that the couple are hoping for a reconciliation with the rest of the Beckham family.

However, sources close to the Beckhams say Victoria and David have “tried for months” to reach out, describing David as “heartbroken” but still hopeful that they might one day work things out.

Rap star dead after suffering brain aneurysm

His son, Young Bleed, confirmed in an emotional Instagram video that he had passed away at the age of 51.

A prominent rap star has died aged 51 after suffering from complications due to a brain aneurysm, it was revealed today. Young Bleed, whose real name was Glenn Clifton Jr, passed away on Saturday after being taken to hospital days earlier following a collapse in Las Vegas.

The young artist, whose gold-certified debut album was a Top 10 US hit, developed his rhyming abilities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from the age of nine. He is credited with producing hits like How Ya Do That, which was a soundtrack to the 1997 film I’m Bout It.

The star’s son Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton confirmed that his father had died in an Instagram video, captioned: “RIP to the biggest legend I know.” Addressing followers in the clip, he said: “As of November 1st, my dad gained his wings. This is a tough topic for me – not sure how it’s going to go. But I am here to clear up a lot of false narratives.”

“I know that all of the people who knew about him were concerned because he was a legend around the world, and they weren’t sure what they heard.” Therefore, I’m happy to confirm that he has gained his wings as his eldest child.

When this occurred, my father was 51 years old. These are just life chapters, not the real issues that My Dad had. I hope that those going through grieving moments will find comfort in this video.

He added: “My dad like most as you get in [older] in age take had high blood pressure. He would take his medicines… Once he collapsed he did pass from the aneurysm, the bleed to the brain.”

One tribute to the star read, “RIP Young Bleed Thank you for everything,” and more than one wrote: Another responded, “Sorry about your dad man. He is unquestionably a legend. You now have to carry the torch”!

Bake Off’s Prue Leith says ‘it’s a pity’ after ‘terrible’ decision with husband

Prue Leith, the Great British Bake Off judge, and her husband John Playfair recently changed their ways of living, but the outcomes were radically different.

The Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith has revealed details about a lifestyle transformation she and her husband, John Playfair, recently embarked upon. The 85-year-old culinary expert disclosed that she and John started using Mounjaro – also referred to as Tirzepatide – a drug approved for Type 2 diabetes treatment that has gained popularity for weight loss.

Prue admitted that while she’s observed changes in her husband’s body, this isn’t the case for her when she gave an update on their journey.

“I took it for two months, lost my appetite completely and didn’t shed an ounce – nothing,” she told The Times.

“Every day after I took the scales, I still weighed exactly the same as before. I detested the “b****y” thing, and I was constantly exhausted, presumably because I wasn’t eating.

She mentioned that her husband remained convinced that she had slimmed down despite personally experiencing no results.

She made up jokes that “John said I looked thinner, which I believe means my face is old and scraggy round the face.”

Prue chose to stop what she described as the “expensive” injection despite his observation, saying: “It was terrible for me.”

However, since using Mounjaro, John has shed an impressive two stone. Prue disagrees with one consequence of the transformation, however.

She said, “He hardly drinks now, and I’m a great boozer.” He’ll only have half a glass of wine, which he probably won’t finish, despite the fact that I only have two or three glasses of wine each night. It’s a pity”.

After being introduced through mutual friends, Prue and John have been married for nine years.

She remembered John coming to see her once more at her front door the day after they first started dating, and their relationship blossomed.

Through their recent collaboration on Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen, viewers recently gained insight into their marriage.

Prue acknowledged that John initially didn’t fully understand the television production process.

She recalled on Lorraine that when we did the first show together, John didn’t pay attention to what the director said.

“John, you see that girl,” I said to him, so I said. The director is she. She directs, and you follow your orders, which is the name of the song. He doesn’t follow directions.

The Great British Bake Off judge revealed that she has since learned to accept his natural spontaneity.

He does what he does, and I’ve given up on it. What do you know, exactly? She continued, “It works.”

John plays a practical role in Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen, demonstrating his knowledge of the countryside and offering advice on how to pick fruits and vegetables.

He also encounters local farmers, growers, and meat producers, which highlights the origin stories of the produce featured on the program.

Victoria Beckham breaks silence on David’s knighthood as admits she’s ‘never felt prouder’

After receiving his knighthood for his contributions to sport and charitable causes, Lady Victoria Beckham has admitted that she has never felt prouder of her husband.

Victoria Beckham said she has “never felt prouder” of her husband David. The fashion designer, 51, met footballer David when she was at the height of her pop star fame with the Spice Girls almost 30 years ago, and they went on to have Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, as well as 14-year-old Harper together and took to social media in the hours after David received his knighthood from the monarch at Windsor Castle for services to sport and charitable causes.

She wrote: “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.

You are the most amazing husband and father, and you are still the same kind, devout, hardworking person I met almost 30 years ago. Never have I felt more proud than I am today. We all adore you dearly, sir @davidbeckham xxx “

Victoria, who was known as Posh Spice when she shot to fame alongside Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Melanie C and Emma Bunton, will henceforth be referred to as ‘Lady Beckham. ‘ This designation is granted to a woman married to a man who holds the title of ‘Sir’ and whilst it’s an optional formal adjustment the showbiz legend has chosen to accept it.

Following the announcement that the footballer player would at last receive the dream accolade, his partner shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She wrote next to a photograph of her hugging her husband: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir David Beckham!

“What a honor, I’m not more proud of you,” I said. Your commitment to the things that matter most, including your family, your job, your passions, and most importantly, your country, has never faltered.

You have touched so many lives with kindness and humility over the years, which speaks volumes about the character of the man you are and continues to inspire us every day. But I’m so, so proud to call you mine before all else. I’m so in love with you.

David himself was also moved when the announcement was made, telling PA: “Growing up in east London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour.

He continued, “I’m so fortunate to be able to do the work I do, and I’m appreciative of being recognized for the work I do that gives me such great fulfillment.”

“It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I’m immensely proud and it’s such an emotional moment for me to share with my family.” The sports star had been widely tipped for the honour and was reportedly set to receive a knighthood in 2022, but leaked emails from 2017 in which he purportedly criticised the honours system and its committee scuppered those plans.

He allegedly addressed the committee at the time, calling them “unappreciative c***s” and allegedly saying he didn’t care about getting knighted. However, his team refuted these reports, accusing them of being false and of fabricating the facts.

David Beckham makes incredible vow to public as he is knighted

When David Beckham receives his knighthood, he makes an incredible vow to change the UK.

Sir David Beckham has vowed to use his knighthood “for the good of the UK” as he received the honour from the King. Friends of the star said he would not “sit idly back” and plans to accelerate his charity work, and “try and make a difference.”

The friend continued, “Some celebrities get a knighthood, and you don’t hear from them again. But David wants to use this incredible honor to promote the causes he supports and raise their profile. He is determined to return the UK.

The football star, 50, who was recognised for his services to sport and charity in a ceremony at Windsor Castle, has described accepting the honour as the “proudest moment” of his career. Sir David has supported a number of charity causes, including serving as a goodwill ambassador for humanitarian aid organisation Unicef since 2005.

He was appointed an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, a 1990-founded educational organization, last year. And he remarked about his charitable work after the ceremony, which included his wife Lady Victoria and his parents: “All the things I do, I do, I do out of love.”

“I don’t do it because I have to do it, I don’t because I have to because I have to do it,” said Sir David. My work, in my opinion, will never end. My job is enjoyable. I was raised with the right values to respect people, and that will continue.

When he was awarded the knighthood, the former England captain donned a grey three-piece suit made by his wife. Lady Victoria accompanied him while wearing a pointed-toed, ruched navy Bela Midi dress from her own collection.

The pair smiled together for photographs in the courtyard with Lady Victoria looking up proudly at her husband before posing with his parents, Ted and Sandra Beckham.

Asked whether he managed to speak to Charles during the ceremony, Sir David said: “He was quite impressed with my suit. “He’s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years and he definitely inspired this look. It was something that my wife made me.

When I looked at old photos of him wearing morning suits when he was a young man, I said, “OK, that’s what I want to wear,” so I gave it to my wife, and she did. He claimed that he had always been a huge fan of the monarchy and that he had “always felt emotional about the knighthood” since he was recognized in the King’s Birthday Honours earlier this year.

“I’ve been very obviously lucky in my career to have won what I’ve won and done what I’ve done but to receive an honour like this, of a knight, is beyond anything that I ever thought that I would receive,” Sir David said. “To be honest, a young boy from the east end of London, born in Leytonstone, and here at Windsor Castle, being honoured by His Majesty the King – the most important and the most respected institution in the world – it’s quite a moment. This is without doubt my proudest moment.” He added that it was a “huge honour” to be recognised for both his sporting career and for the philanthropic work he has done since he was “probably 17”.

Sir David said that when he first described his drive, he soon realized how important it was for people to listen to him and how that aided in the development of charities. People listen to me, “he said,” and I believe that is primarily due to the careers I’ve had, the teams I’ve played for, the victories I’ve won, and the respect I’ve earned throughout my career. And I believe it to be a very useful tool for charitable work. I quickly realized that through things I said and things I got involved in, and I think that’s why it’s so important to me.

Sir David married his wife Victoria in 1999 and the couple share four children together – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. Yesterday Romeo paid tribute on social media to his father. He said: “No-one deserves this more than you, love you so much…congrats Sir dad.”Sir David made his Premier League debut for Manchester United in 1995 and was part of the team that earned a dramatic Champions League final victory in 1999 when they beat Bayern Munich with two late goals.

Louise Redknapp’s tragic health battles including condition ‘worst doctor had seen’

Louise Redknapp rose to fame as a member of Eternals in the 1990s, but says she was struggling with a health condition at the height of music career

Louise Redknapp shot to fame as a member of the girl group Eternals before tying the knot with England midfielder Jamie Redknapp in the 1990s. But during the height of her career she battled a skin condition that doctors said was the “worst they’ve seen in a long time”.

Louise, who turns 51 today, says she was diagnosed with hyperpigmentation as a child. The condition is when areas of the skin darken due to an increase in melanin production.

It can result in dark spots or circles on the body. Louise says her hyperpigmentation was at its worst in her twenties, shortly after she gave birth to her eldest son Charley, who she shares with ex-husband Jamie.

She says she would have self-esteem issues whenever the condition would flare up. Speaking to the ECHO, Louise said: “I said that I looked like I had the world map on my face.

“The pigmentation that I suffered with after having my first child saw one dermatologist say it was the worst they had seen in a really long time. And it really affected my confidence, because on one hand, I was so happy having this gorgeous baby, and on the other hand, I didn’t know what I was going to do with my face.”

Mum-of-two Louise said confidence issues meant she struggled to live in the moment. She added: “There’s been lots of times in life that maybe being worried about how I looked has held me back from really living in the moment and enjoying things.

“Every moment being on the beach, worrying that somebody might take a picture of you from an unflattering angle. I spent most of my holidays lying flat in the hope that no one would spot me.”

Louise urged anyone else suffering from hyperpigmentation to try and remain positive. She says that while individuals may notice the flare ups, other people may not.

She added: “The things that we think are terrible – blemishes on our face, pigment on our face – people might notice it, but it’s not the first thing they judge you on, and if it is, you don’t want to know them anyway.

“Trying to keep a positive mental attitude is really tough but just remember that everybody’s fighting their own battles and believe you me, whatever you’re fighting at that time will not beat the forefront of their mind.”

Louise ‘desperately’ trying to ‘survive’

The Let’s Go Round Again singer has previously opened up about a time in her life when she was “struggling” and trying to keep her “head above water”. On Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Louise revealed she had taken antidepressants to get her “head above the ground”.

However she found they made her gain weight, leaving her “hating” how she looked in pictures. “I always remember like going to…I think it was the BRITS or somewhere, and they’d made me put weight on, and it was the lesser of two evils,” she explained.

She continued: “For some reason, I put weight on. I was unconfident in how it looked to my body, yet at the same time, I was trying to keep my head above water. I was trying to desperately just survive in the world that we live in.”

Louise says she had wanted to “come out” and talk about how she was “struggling”. She told Fearne she also wanted to say “sorry” that she “wasn’t perfect”.

‘Really bad’ health battle after finding fame

Louise has also spoken about how she suffered with OCD when she was in Eternal. She said she felt it was the “the only thing I could control in my life” during an emotional interview on This Morning in 2020.

Louise said: “For many years I suffered from OCD in a really big way, looking back I think it most probably came from it being the only thing I could control in my life.

“Going on you do work and start to understand the illness a bit more, but I hope people out there that suffer might realise they’re not alone. I had it really badly. It used to take me 20 minutes to go to bed at night. I’ve come a long way since those days. And it has helped me to write it all down.”

While Louise admits she was “really lucky” to be in the band, she says she now feels like she “could have dealt with things” differently and “maybe not worried so much,” reports MailOnline.

She starred in Eternal alongside Easther and Vernie Bennett as well as Kéllé Bryan. As a four piece, their first album Always and Forever reached number two in the UK chart, selling over four million copies globally.
