Fitness influencer Liver King, whose real name is Brian Johnson, became an internet sensation by promoting his extreme ancestral lifestyle, which included eating raw meat and testicles, alongside a punishing exercise routine.

Netflix has just dropped a new documentary delving into how Liver King built his online empire and the scandal that nearly toppled it all.

Despite being grilled in interviews about whether steroids played a part in sculpting his muscular frame, he vehemently denied it every time, claiming his physique was purely the result of the all-natural way of life he promoted.

But the façade crumbled when an email leak exposed his staggering $11,000 monthly spend on performance-enhancing drugs, leading to an apology video where he confessed to steroid use.

Among the sceptics was podcaster Logan Paul. In 2022, Liver King confronted steroid speculation head-on during an appearance on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, fiercely rejecting the claims, reports Surrey Live.

“If you don’t believe this is possible [being natural], then I suggest that you take that self-limiting belief, you put that s*** in a box and you bury that next to all your embarrassing s*** and don’t open your f****** mouth about it,” Brian had fired back when pressed on the issue.

Logan was quick to slam the influencer for his steroid scandal, with his blunt six-word reaction captured in a Netflix documentary.

“You lied to my f****** face,” he vents to the camera in the wake of the Liver King’s apology video being released.

Despite being called out for dishonesty, the Liver King still boasts an impressive online presence. At the last count, he has nearly three million followers on Instagram, six million TikTok fans, and a YouTube subscriber base topping one million, even though he’s not much of a regular poster.

The documentary also shows Brian confessing that he’s toned down his extreme lifestyle, admitting: “I was so convinced all of the carnivore stuff, well, that’s all you needed to really kick ass in life. I’m convinced now I was starving myself… I guess I want the world to know that I was wrong. I got all of it wrong… There’s a lot more that I don’t know than I do know.”

Saturday Night Live star Sarah Sherman broke her silence after the comedian and producers of the show were criticised for mocking Aimee Lou Wood’s teeth in a White Lotus sketch. The BAFTA winning actress, 31, was left feeling offended and angry after watching the skit which ridiculed her appearance, calling it ‘mean and unfunny’.

The skit saw actress Sarah do an exaggerated impersonation of Aimee while using dramatic prosthetic teeth. The sketch was based on US President Donald Trump and his top team spending time at the fictional White Lotus hotel. Aimee’s character Chelsea, portrayed by cast member Sarah, was seen referencing the actress’s teeth in the scenes as she asks: “Fluoride? What’s that?”

In response to the skit, Aimee said that she was left questioning her own appearance. She told her Instagram followers: “Whilst in honest mode – I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny.”

After watching the sketch, Aimee said that she’s ‘not thin-skinned’ and understands that the show’s humour relies on exaggeration and ‘caricature’, but that the whole joke ‘was about fluoride.’ Aimee insisted: “I have big gap teeth, not bad teeth.”

Aimee noted that most of the sketch aimed at those in power and she felt singled out. She continued: “The rest of the skit was punching up, and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.” She clarified she wasn’t hitting out at Sarah herself but ‘hating on the concept’ of the sketch.

She even included a comment from a viewer who first found the sketch ‘sharp and funny’ before it took a ‘misogynistic’ turn.

“This sums up my view,” the actress agreed. Aimee also took issue with Sarah’s portrayal of her, and in particular, her voice and her accent: “I respect accuracy even if it’s mean.”

While SNL were quick to apologised for the sketch and even edited the online version, Sarah remained quiet on the controversial topic until now.

Sarah sent Aimee flowers after offending her, which Aimee shared on social media, but she only recently spoke out in an interview with Vanity Fair.

“I was excited to play her because she’s so iconic, her character is so iconic, and I f***ing obviously never meant to hurt anyone’s feelings,” Sarah said.

“Never in a million years did I get into comedy to make anyone upset. I feel terrible that anyone would feel bad,” she added. When asked whether she has to think about the possibilities of offending people while doing sketches, Sarah said: “Totally.”

“The show is in constant dialogue with culture as it’s happening, and it happens really fast. You have to be vigilant, you know what I mean?” the star continued.

“There are a lot of things out of your control. You’re playing a lot of different parts, you’re doing a lot of different roles that you’re not in control of.” She went on to say ‘staying vigilant’ while being part of the show is part of the job.

£12 hair product can transform viral hairstyle loved by Molly-Mae Hague with just one swipe

The Aussie slick back bun has become a firm favourite for a reason. However, the slick, shiny hairstyle can be taken to its next level with this one £12 product that you can buy today

Molly-Mae Hague and Sophia Richie have popularised the Aussie slick back

The Aussie slick back bun has been a staple for the girls on the go since its comeback a few years ago, with tutorials on the viral hairstyle averaging well over 2 million views each on TikTok. However, some are still struggling to perfect the slick-back look.

Phillip Downing the Creative Director of Bed Head tells The Mirror that the Aussie slick back is a “super feminine hairstyle” that can level up an entire look. And a wax product, such as Bed Head’s Wax Stick – which is just £12 at Boots and Superdrug – can help.

He says: “I think the reason why it’s so popular right now is down to how it combines functionality with elegance. It can easily be dressed up as a chic hairstyle paired with an evening look, or dressed down too, as it keeps the hair off the face, which is practical when you’re at the gym, or out and about.”

However, one £12 product may be the only thing you need to achieve the hairstyle in no time at all. Downing said: “When it comes to nailing a sleek hairstyle like this, there are three key areas to focus on: slickness, hold and gloss.”

The hair guru shared his expertise, detailing the products and steps to get the look to last all day. He said you should start with untangled hair, use a comb to section and part two equal sized front pieces of hair, keeping them aside to help frame the face and complete the style later.

Then, gather and snatch the rest of the hair together using a soft brush, keeping the hair as close to the scalp as possible – as the real success to a refined ponytail is a taught and tight hairline perimeter, vs. loose baby hairs.

Secure the hair into a ponytail, using your free hand to press and smooth the hair as you go, taming any frizz and maintaining tightness. Deciding where the pony falls on the head makes a big difference to the overall look.

Consider a higher ponytail for a sporty, fun look, or opt for lower if you’re going for more formal, elegant vibes. Once you’ve tied your pony, use the back of a comb to slot through the middle of your hair and subtly lift. This will add body and create a more volumised look at the crown.

Then comes the hero product. Applying a wax product, like Bed Head’s Wax Stick, to slick down the sides of your hair helps you achieve that glossy, iridescent finish. Start at the front of your head and glide the wax ergonomically back until you reach the pony, guided by the head shape. Downing tells us that the wax stick product is perfect for taming flyaways without making hair stiff or greasy.

Pierce Brosnan’s ‘unwatchable’ Irish accent blamed for show’s rumoured axing

The Guy Ritchie thriller MobLand might not see a second season after receiving a mixed reaction from viewers over Pierce Brosnan’s Irish accent

TV executives are weighing up axing a star-studded Guy Ritchie thriller before its second season after some fans were less than impressed with Pierce Brosnan’s “unwatchable” Irish accent, insiders are suggesting.

The series facing the axe is Paramount’s MobLand, which boasts an expensive cast of stars other than Brosnan, including Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy.

But MobLand has seen a lukewarm reception from Paramount’s viewers and critics, averaging around 76 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, with some describing it as lacking in focus and “frustrating.”

A focal point for viewer confusion, however, is Brosnan’s accent, which is bizarre considering that Ireland is the country of his birth. The Sun has reported that this will be considered by executives deciding on MobLand’s future.

The negative backlash is a surprise miss for 56-year-old legendary director Ritchie, fresh off the huge success of his criminal comedy thriller ‘The Gentlemen’ for competing streamer Netflix.

Speaking to the publication, an insider said:

“Viewers have been mocking his Irish accent — which is ironic given he was born in Ireland and lived there till he was four years old.

“But he’s always had a cut-glass English delivery.”

Brosnan was able to reclaim his birth accent for MobLand, where he stars as the head of the Harrigan crime family, Conrad.

The insider added: “Clearly making the shift back to an Irish accent was not as smooth as expected.”

Users on social media joked about the Bond star’s accent in the series, saying: “Brosnan has to be the only person born and raised in Ireland that can’t pull off an Irish accent.”

Oasis star WILL join Gallaghers for the reunion as manager discusses group’s future

Noel and Liam Gallagher are preparing to wow fans at 17 gigs across the UK – starting at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4 – in an incredible Oasis reunion

Bassist Andy Bell will join the Gallaghers for the Oasis reunion, according to reports today.

Since Oasis’ split in 2009, Bell has been impressing fans with his own band, Ride, and so it was unclear whether the 54-year-old star would be part of the Gallagher’s sell-out return. However, the musician has told a reporter he is in and is now preparing for rehearsals with Noel and Liam.

Bell, who joined Oasis in 2000 to replace bassist Paul McGuigan, said: “I’m in and I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll see each other on tour. Or rather, you’ll see me – I’ll hardly be able to see you in the audience.” Bell also wrote one song or more on each of Oasis’ final three albums.

Oasis’ reunion tour starts on July 4 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which is Bell’s home city. Sixteen gigs in the UK, as well as several abroad, follow, reaching the worldwife climax on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. Bell joins Gem Archer, Bonehead and drummer Joey Waronker who are also reuniting with the Gallaghers for the huge final tour.

But this stint will indeed be the final hoorah for the brothers, their co-manager Alec McKinlay told Music Week on Tuesday. He said: “This is the last time around, as Noel has made clear in the press. It is a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. But no, there’s no plan for any new music.”

Bell’s comments to Austrian newspaper Oe24 come as Oasis get ready to rehearse ahead of their opening gig in Cardiff. More than 74,000 people are set to cram into the Principality Stadium for the performance, the first since Oasis made what was thought to be their farewell at V Festival at Weston Park in Stafford on August 22, 2009.

Fans have been trying to work out what the first song in nearly 16 years will be, and believe a recent Instagram post by the band offers a cryptic clue. The visual clue showed what looked like a setlist with five tracks listed – one notably swapped out for ‘Songbird’ from 2002, a crowd-pleaser among the Oasis faithful.

The teaser was captioned: “Less than two months to go. What’s your dream opener?” A post to the r/Oasis subreddit has since sparked a litany of fan theories as to what this puzzle signifies.

One user speculated: “What are all your thoughts on this? Seems odd, I’d never imagine they’d open with the last two? And why scratch out better man? Cryptic. Interested to hear what you make of it.”

Depardieu Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting Two Women

A Paris court on Tuesday handed French cinema icon Gerard Depardieu an 18-month suspended sentence after convicting him of sexually assaulting two women on a film set in 2021.

The court also ordered that Depardieu, who was not present for the verdict, register as a sex offender — marking a spectacular fall from grace for the 76-year-old who has dominated French cinema for half a century.

Depardieu, who has acted in more than 200 films and television series, is the highest-profile figure caught up in France’s response to the #MeToo movement.

The verdict was delivered on the first day of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, France’s most prestigious cinema showcase where Depardieu won best actor in 1990.

The trial related to charges of sexual assault during the filming in 2021 of “Les Volets Verts” (“The Green Shutters”) by director Jean Becker.

The plaintiffs were a set dresser, 54, identified only as Amelie, and a 34-year-old assistant director, who accused the actor of sexual assault.

Of the two, only Amelie was present to hear the judgement and she reported feeling relieved after going through “an emotional rollercoaster”.

“This recognition of the mistreatment in court means a lot to us,” said Carine Durrieu Diebolt, a lawyer for one of the plaintiffs.

Claude Vincent, another lawyer for the plaintiffs, added: “Genius does not excuse sexual assault.”

Around 20 women have accused Depardieu of assault or inappropriate behaviour but this was the first case to come to court.

The whereabouts of the actor were not immediately clear.

The actor, who had complained that he had been out of work for three years, is to star in a film directed by his friend, actor Fanny Ardant.

The shooting of his scenes began in April in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.

The actor’s lawyer Jeremie Assous said Depardieu would appeal.

“The moment you are implicated in a case of sexual assault, you are automatically convicted,” he said.

– ‘Not a monster’ –

Depardieu, a towering figure in the French cinema, has often been described by French press as a “sacred monster.”

Commenting on the verdict, actor Juliette Binoche, who presides over the Cannes film festival jury this year, said that the expression of “sacred monster” has always bothered her.

“He’s not a monster, he’s a man,” she said, adding he had “lost his aura through actions that were reviewed by the judiciary.”

The sentence was in line with the recommendation of prosecutor Laurent Guy who argued an 18-month suspended jail term “takes into account the total lack of remorse” shown by the defendant.

Amelie testified that Depardieu pinned her down on set in 2021, saying that “he was very strong”.

She also said Depardieu made “obscene remarks” and suggestions, boasting he could “give women an orgasm without touching them”.

The 34-year-old plaintiff said Depardieu initially assaulted her when she accompanied him from his dressing room to the set.

“It was nighttime,” she said. “He put his hand on my buttocks,” she said, adding that the actor assaulted her on two other occasions.

Depardieu denied sexually assaulting the women.

“I’m vulgar, rude, foul-mouthed, I’ll accept that,” he told the court.

But he added: “I don’t touch,” while describing the #MeToo movement as a “reign of terror”.

Depardieu has been supported by his daughter Roxane, his ex-partner Karine Silla and actor Vincent Perez.

On Monday, he won backing from French film star Brigitte Bardot.

“Those who have talent and put their hands on a girl’s bottom are thrown in the gutter,” Bardot told broadcaster BFMTV.

“We could at least let them get on with their lives. They can’t live anymore.”

– ‘Change judicial practices’ –

While delivering the verdict, the presiding judge criticised the “excessive harshness” shown toward the plaintiffs by Depardieu’s defence team.

During the trial, the actor’s lawyer Assous called the two women “liars” and “hysterical”, arguing that they were working for the cause of “rabid feminism”.

“These remarks, by their very nature, amount to secondary victimisation,” the presiding judge said, ordering Depardieu to pay each woman 1,000 euros ($1,111).

The court also ordered Depardieu to pay 4,000 euros to Amelie and 2,000 euros to the second woman in compensation for moral injury.

Women’s rights group the Fondation des Femmes hailed the ruling.

“We hope this decision will help change judicial practices and finally reduce the impunity that has long surrounded sexual violence,” said the group.

In April, French MPs criticised “endemic” abuse in the entertainment industry after a six-month inquiry.
