Sir Rod Stewart has made sure to get some downtime amid his mammoth world tour, which has left him battling an unfortunate health issue. The music icon, 80, is in the midst of his epic One Last Time Tour that concludes in December and brings the end of an era for the star.

Over the weekend, he thrilled fans in Milan, Italy, where he performed as part of the string of concert dates. Sir Rod was joined by members of his family including devoted wife Lady Penny Lancaster, 54, and their son Alastair, 19.

However, with dates still to come in North America, South America, Europe and the United Arab Emirates, it seemed Sir Rod needed a break from the pressures of tour life. He managed to steal away for some time with Penny and head on a romantic break.

The loved-up couple took a trip to the hotel Villa d’Este in the stunning Lake Como, where they kicked back on boat trips and tucked into lavish meals.

Penny gave fans a glimpse into the break as she shared a sweet snap of her and Rod on a boat. She put her arm around her musician husband as she looked chic in a tiger print blouse with black tailored trousers.

The Loose Women star kept her long blonde locks in loose waves and snuggled into Sir Rod by placing her legs over his knee. In another snap, the couple shared an embrace while Penny held onto a flower.

Sir Rod rocked a white blazer with matching shirt and a black tie and trousers. The pair beamed at the camera, as Penny gushed: “One of the most wonderful, romantic, long weekend get aways.

“So appreciative the opportunities we get to spend quality time together in our busy lives. @sirrodstewart #tour.”

Over the weekend, Sir Rod sparked concern for his health as he was left unable to speak. While in Lake Como, he walked around with a sign hanging around his neck saying that he was without a voice.

The simple message stated: “Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest.” Despite the setback, Sir Rod looked happy as he wandered around with wife Penny chatting at his side.

While teenage son Alastair towered above his parents as he joined them in the Italian sunshine. Music fans have a last chance to see Sir Rod on the road as part of a huge world tour as he has signalled his One Last Time Tour will be the last of it’s kind.

In November last year he made it clear he wanted to scale back his performing – while also reiterating that he is not planning to retire. He said: “[This is] the end of large-scale world tours for me… [But I have] no desire to retire.”

Fans in the UK will see the Hot Legs singer take to the stage at Glastonbury. Sir Rod is set to hit the Pyramid Stage for the Sunday legend slot over the festival weekend at the end of June.

Reality star James ‘Arg’ Argent is banned from seeing his Swedish girlfriend, Nicoline Artursson, after reportedly attacking her while on holiday in Spain. The Only Way Is Essex TV personality was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence by the Spanish Civil Guard in Costa del Sol and taken into custody on Sunday, May 5.

It has been said Argent, who is reportedly “remorseful about what happened but is insisting he never meant any harm”, received a suspended jail sentence and must carry out a “resocialisation course in the field of gender violence.” He was also reportedly given a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting Ms Artursson.

The Guardia Civil confirmed his arrest with the Mirror, stating: “We can confirm Mr Argent was arrested by ‘Policia Local’ of Mijas for an alleged crime of domestic violence on 5th May.”

Speaking about the shocking incident, one onlooker told the Mirror: “We were frightened by his shouts. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing,” they added before stating that Nicoline “appeared to be physically and emotionally devastated.”

The Mirror understands Nicoline’s mother arrived at the scene to aid her daughter and police transported them both to a hospital.

Onlookers alleged they “heard an aggressive man yelling” and “throwing objects from the terrace of a nearby house”. Argent admitted “mistreating” Nicoline in the Court of Violence Against Women in Fuengirola, as reported by The Sun.

Argent and Artursson met last summer after meeting by chance in Marbella and went public the following September.

He previously explained to OK!: “I was walking to my gig at Elliott Wright’s restaurant in Marbella. All of a sudden I see this woman coming towards me. I was like, ‘Wow, she’s beautiful.’ She was just in her gym clothes, wearing no make-up. She’d actually just fed a stray cat.“

Speaking about her, he added: “To have her beside me is like a dream. She’s absolutely beautiful. She’s a combination of Julia Roberts and Claudia Schiffer. What I love about Nicoline is, even though she’s very humble, she’s very classy.”

The TV personality rose to fame as one of the original cast members on TOWIE, appearing on the show from 2010 to 2018. Throughout his career, he took part in a number of shows including The Jump, Celebrity Super Spa, Sugar Free Farm and Celebs Go Dating.

TOWIE suspended Argent from filming in October 2014 when he failed a drug test. He later attended rehab before returning to the series. The reality TV star has regularly been an inpatient at centres due to his issues with drug addiction.

We found Mary Kate Olsen’s ‘comfortable and cute’ sandals for £44

The sandals have been praised online as “comfortable and supportive right from the first wear”

Fashion fans can get their hands on the “wonderful” sandals worn by Mary Kate Olsen for under £50. The star was spotted in New York earlier this month wearing a casual outfit and a pair of eye-catching sandals.

Mary Kate was wearing a bright orange hoodie, a pair of black tailored trousers, oversize aviator sunglasses, and Teva’s Infinity sandals, according to Marie Claire. The sandals were the stand-out star of the outfit, adding some flair to the whole look.

The Teva Voya Infinity Flat Sandals are currently listed on Amazon for £43.99. They feature water-ready polyester webbing upper that is said to be “extremely durable” and dries “quickly after getting wet.”

Shoppers looking for a different style of sandal, Next has the Bone Standard/Wide Fit Chunky Buckled Sandals for £38, and River Island stocks the Beige Leather Weave Mule Flat Sandals, priced at £32. Elsewhere, New Look has the £25.99 Tan Faux Leather Multi Strap Gladiator Sandals.

The Amazon product description reads: “A study in laidback elegance—combining the foot-forming comfort of our famed Mush topsole and a feminine infinity upper crafted from a single stretchy elastic lace.”

The sandals have a 4.2 star rating, having racked up rave reviews from impressed shoppers. Among them, one person said: “Like walking on air. Very comfortable though they look as though they may not be with all the straps.

“A couple of times wearing and they are great, lightweight and very comfortable sole with good arch support. I can’t see that they adjust so one size fits all.”

A second wrote: “Wonderful! Comfortable and cute! Bought these as comfortable walking/out-and-about summer shoes as opposed to trainers or fashion sandals and I love them! They do take a week of wear to get used to them, figuring out how tight and where you like the straps as well as breaking in the sole, but after that they’re genuinely the comfiest shoes I own.

“They’re pretty cute too, and I’ve been wearing them out pretty much non-stop since I bought them in September, only stopping recently because it’s been too cold for my toes! I definitely recommend!”

A third added: “Incredibly comfortable. I did some serious trekking in these shoes and they were comfortable and supportive right from the first wear – no need to wear in.

“Fabric insole cover also soft and breathable in the sense that feet did not sweat even in really hot weather. They also pass as pretty sandals for every day wear. Really versatile and great price – highly recommend.”

However, while some praised the comfort of the shoes, others claimed they are “too narrow.” One said: “Not for wider feet, very narrow. Returned.”

A second wrote: “Most uncomfortable shoe. Look good, feel awful the elastic digs in to your feet.”

Despite this, most of the reviews were very positive and praise the sandals. One said: “The most comfy sandals ever….I wish I bought them sooner!”

Zara Tindall admits to ‘struggles’ in Royal Family as Prince Harry begs for reunion

Princess Anne’s daughter has made some very rare comments about the difficulties facing the royal family in the wake of Prince Harry’s decision to give an explosive interview to the BBC

Days after Prince Harry gave another bombshell interview, his cousin Zara Tindall has spoken about the ‘struggles’ facing the royal family.

Harry is all but estranged from King Charles and Prince William after taking multiple swipes against his family in his book, interviews and TV shows. And now Zara has shared an insight on some of the drama going on behind the scenes.

Speaking at a London Sporting Club lunch last week, the 43-year-old daughter of Princess Anne addressed the perception of royal life from the outside. “It is very hard to see from the outside but, 100 per cent, it is a family that is still going through the same struggles other people do,” Zara said, as reported in The Sun. “Whether they are relationships, obviously it is very easy to see every day. We’re still very supportive of each other.”

Zara and Harry were once very close – but his decision to continue to air his grievances against his family have fractured the majority of his relationships. Zara and her family still have a very strong bond with the Wales family, however, with Mike Tindall forming a touching ‘brotherly relationship’ with Prince William.

Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter, a former Palace press secretary, believes their tight connection comes down to their similar personalities. “Mike is a pretty straight guy,” he told the Telegraph. “He’s down to earth, and William is too… They are two peas from the same pod, they’ve just had different upbringings. We’ve seen [this] time and again in William and Mike’s interactions. They are a proper family. They’re not playing at it,” he noted.

Mike also gets on really well with Princess Kate; she famously appeared with William on Mike’s The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast. And the two families love nothing more than spending time together, along with their young children.

Proud dad Mike, who is also a father of three, has developed a very sweet bond with George, Charlotte and Louis. He was seen showing his playful side when he made an ‘I’m watching you’ gesture to Prince Louis at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. And he was pictured putting an affectionate arm around George’s shoulders on Christmas Day 2023, while his daughter Mia walked hand-in-hand with beaming Louis.

It comes after Prince Harry came under fire for giving an explosive interview to the BBC after losing his legal bid to have his UK police protection reinstated He said that there had been “so many disagreements” in the family, but the “only thing that’s left” is the row over his security – which he said had “always been the sticking point”.

“There is no point in continuing to fight anymore, life is precious,” he added. Harry also touched on the health of King Charles – something he has been heavily criticised for. The 76-year-old is undergoing treatment for cancer. Harry said: “I don’t know how much longer my father has – he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Katie Price needs ‘appropriate adult’ due to ‘severe’ health condition

Katie Price revealed she was diagnosed with ‘severe ADHD’ after her mum Amy convinced her to go and get tested for the condition because of her ‘erratic behaviour’

Katie Price has revealed her health condition means she needs an “appropriate adult” to help write fill out forms

Katie Price has candidly revealed that she requires the presence of an “appropriate adult” when dealing with official paperwork because she “gets bored”.

The 46-year-old former glamour model was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in 2023. It is thought around 2.6 million people in the United Kingdom have the condition.

Symptoms of ADHD typically include being easily distracted or forgetful, possessing abundant energy, or feeling restless. The NHS says people with ADHD often struggle with concentrating and sitting still.

Katie says her ADHD has meant she has often put off reading important documents, such as those relating to her bankruptcy court case earlier this year, because she “doesn’t understand”. It means she has to have someone with her to help during official situations.

Speaking on the We Need to Talk podcast with Paul C Brunson, Katie explained: “I have to have an appropriate adult with stuff, if it’s court and stuff. Because I can’t concentrate.

“People will be like, ‘What’s that?’ And I’ll tell them in a minute. I can read, of course I can read, but I read it all and then get bored or start thinking about something else. I find it hard to focus on forms.”

Katie Price has candidly spoken about her mental health struggles and the overwhelming court challenges that have piled up over the years, admitting: “I’ve had a lot of court stuff, even the bankruptcy stuff, that was all like…I’ve been diagnosed 18 months ago so when I was getting letters, with my breakdown, I didn’t really understand everything so I would leave it to the side because I didn’t understand or read it all.

“You’re like, ‘Oh I’ll do it later’. Put it off. Put it off. Put it off’ because I didn’t really understand what was going on and that’s how the bankruptcy thing got into that.”

(Image: Getty Images)

Discussing how her diagnosis impacted legal proceedings, Katie revealed: “I’ve had a lot of court things, various court things I’ve had to deal with behind the scenes, and they’re like, ‘No, because of her diagnosis she needs an appropriate adult’.”

Sharing insights into her personal life and family dynamics, Katie disclosed that her mother Amy played a pivotal role in identifying her behavioural patterns, encouraging her to seek a diagnosis: “My mum kept saying to me, ‘You always…even when you’re sitting there, move around a lot, you’re quite erratic and you’re impulsive’ And I said, ‘I don’t know mum, this is me’ and she said, ‘There’s something not right about your brain’.”

Katie recounted her refusal to acknowledge potential issues at first: “I said, ‘I don’t know, ADHD or something’, and she said, ‘Well you need to be tested’.”

Katie revealed her mum then booked her in for a private ADHD test. It was then she was diagnosed with “severe” ADHD, she explained.

Speaking on Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right podcast, Katie previously discussed how her ADHD diagnosis has affected her life, admitting to being “impulsive and chaotic”. She explained: “I’m quite chaotic, and like you can never take that away from me, and I quite like that about me.

“I’m organised chaos, but in situations now I can control better because I understand and I have to talk to myself [to say] ‘Kate, this isn’t the right reaction’. I can’t explain it until you’re in it.”

What is ADHD?

According to the NHS, people with ADHD can be inattentive, have high levels of energy and struggle to control their impulses.

Signs of inattentiveness include:

  • being easily distracted or forgetful
  • finding it hard to organise your time
  • finding it hard to follow instructions or finish tasks
  • losing things often, like your wallet, mobile or keys

Signs of being hyperactive and impulsive, include:

  • having a lot of energy or feeling restless
  • being very talkative or interrupting conversations
  • making quick decisions without thinking about what might happen as a result
  • Most people with ADHD will have symptoms of both the inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive type. Some only show signs of one type.

How to get help with ADHD?

Anyone who believes they have ADHD should consult their GP. They can then be referred for an ADHD assessment. This however can take months or even years, the NHS says.
