Peter Andre has revealed the emotional family discussion he had with his two oldest children regarding his now wife Emily Andre. Peter, who shares Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with his ex-wife Katie Price, opened up on the chat he had to have with the kids.

Writing in his autobiography titled Between Us, Peter said he decided to sit his two kids down to discuss a significant development involving Emily. At the time, Peter said the kids only knew Emily as being a family friend.

However, as an emotional attachment grew, Peter thought it was wise to discuss the changing family dynamics with his kids. Speaking about his children’s relationship with Emily, he shared how they had developed an ‘amazing bond’.

He said: “So, as our relationship blossomed, the kids only knew her as a friend. But, what a friend. Just as Emily and I had developed this incredible closeness, so the children were creating an amazing bond with her.”

Peter added: “When the time came, and I knew I was going to ask Emily to marry me, my kids had truly grown to love her, so I had no worries about sitting down with them and explaining ‘the situation’.”

Peter and Emily have since gone on to tie the knot and have three kids of their own together, Amelia, Theo and Arabella. The duo remain blissfully in love, but the Mysterious Girl singer, 52, has revealed one particular mistake which made their almost two decades age difference very noticeable.

Writing in his weekly New! Magazine column, earlier this week, Peter insisted the dynamic ‘works’ for them and joked that age is just a number. However, he did recall one incident where the gap was more prominent.

“There’s one thing we do laugh about, though…, he explained. “We were at the Pride of Britain Awards one year and Jon Bon Jovi came over to chat. I’ve met him many times over the years and he’s a lovely person.

“He introduced himself to Emily and after he walked away, she turned to me and said, “Who was that?” I was like, “Are you serious? It’s Bon Jovi.” In the most confused but innocent voice, she said, “What’s a Bon Jovi?”

Peter added: “We laughed about that a lot afterwards! It’s in those moments we may realise the age gap –usually with music and films – but in general, we love the same things. I think it’s what works for you in a relationship. Who are we to judge?””

The couple were initially introduced through Emily’s dad, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, who is a consultant urologist. At the time, Peter was undergoing kidney stone removal surgery

He later met Emily, who was a medical student at the time, through the doctor. Two years later they began dating before tying the knot in Devon in 2015.

Gary Lineker reunites with his first wife Michelle at son Harry’s lavish Ibiza wedding

Former Match of the Day host, Gary Lineker, was seen beaming with pride alongside his first wife, Michelle Cockayne, when the proud parents attended their son Harry’s wedding in Ibiza

Gary Lineker and his first wife, Michelle Cockayne, put the past behind them when they reunited for their son’s wedding in Ibiza recently. Harry Lineker was surrounded by his famous family when he tied the knot on the Spanish island at the lavish nuptials, which were also attended by Gary’s brother, Wayne, earlier this month.

In snaps taken from the celebration, Gary, 64, dressed in a beige linen suit with cropped trousers and brown suede loafers, sits next to Michelle as they wait for Harry’s bride, Annabelle, to walk down the aisle. Michelle looked stunning for her son’s big day, sporting a midnight blue, silk maxi dress, which was perfect for the sun-kissed nuptials. She is also seen in another family photo on the party island alongside Gary and the former couple’s four sons, Tobias, 29, George, 34, Angus, 26, and groom, Harry, 31.

Gary married Michelle in 1986 when the former footballer met his wife-to-be when she was 14 and he was an 18-year- old reserve for his home town club Leicester City.

“There wasn’t one particular moment when we suddenly became a couple but I do remember asking her out for our first proper date to a restaurant when she was 17 and it just went on from there,” Gary once recalled, adding: “I was probably keener on her then than she was on me and I’m probably keener now.”

The couple went on to welcome four sons, but, tragically, were made to endure every parent’s worst nightmare when they discovered their son, George, had been diagnosed with cancer when he was just a baby.

Gary discussed the heartbreaking time – during which their son spent seven months in hospital – during an interview on ITV’s The Assembly in which celebrities are interviewed by a panel of neurodivergent or learning disabled individuals.

With tears in his eyes, the former footballer, who recently left MOTD after a 25-year-tenure, explained that George wasn’t given much of a chance following his leukaemia diagnosis when he was just two months old.

Visibly moved when asked about his son, Gary said: “That was really tough – it changes you, he was only two months old. We got told he had leukaemia, he wasn’t given much chance.

“It was really awful. We were in the hospital for around seven months with him.”

Gary continued: ”We were the lucky ones, because there were other parents in there that lost their kids so we felt quite fortunate in the end. It was really scary.”

Claiming that he and Michelle handled the terrifying time differently, he concluded: “I felt I needed to talk about it. Michelle, she would bottle things up. But ultimately we got a good ending.”

Two decades after they tied the knot, when George was 16, Michelle filed for divorce from Gary on the grounds of her his ‘unreasonable behaviour’, with documents submitted to the court claiming that the England star’s actions in their marriage had caused her ‘stress and anxiety’.

However, they later stated their marriage breakdown was amicable, with Gary, who went on to marry Welsh model, Danielle Bux, recently telling The Times he’d had “two really good marriages”.

Sheridan Smith has had a dramatic image change for her latest role with the actress looking worlds apart from her usual style. The new look comes as BBC released first-look images of its new drama The Cage.

The former Two Pints of Lager, Cilla and Mrs Biggs star has morphed into a character called Leanne in the production, that has been written and created by BAFTA nominated Tony Schumacher. The series, which will be shown on BBC One and iPlay follows a high-stakes, high energy crime story that has been set within the world of a Liverpool Casino with two unforgettable characters at its heart.

In the new images, Sheridan is seen in a casino worker’s uniform. She can be seen standing next to co-star Michael Socha, who takes on the role of Matty. While Sheridan’s character is seen donning the golden waistcoat and bow-tie, Michael’s is in a black suit and tie combination.

In the series, characters Leanne and Matty find they are both robbing from the safe at the casino they both work in. It sets their lives on a collision course with both themselves, the local gangster they’re stealing from, and the police.

As viewers get ready for the new series, Sheridan’s impressive appearance on ITV’s Cilla is once again gaining plaudits. The series was initially aired back in 2014, but has recently been added to Netflix, much to the delight of her fans.

The three-part series sees Sheridan play the part of the legendary singer Cilla Black. The series looks back at the early stages of the icon’s career and explores how her life was transformed upon meeting Brian Epstein, the manager of The Beatles.

The official synopsis for Cilla reads: “‘Cilla’ tells of her rocky rise to fame and will capture the essence of 1960s Liverpool, the atmosphere of promise and excitement as the Merseybeat music scene was on the verge of exploding in a blaze of tight-fitting skirts, stiletto heels, and beehives.”

It continues: “A young, unknown Cilla works in the austere environs of the typists’ pool at a local company, dreaming of stardom. The drama looks at how she met the two men who came to love her and ultimately fought over her – future husband Bobby Willis and legendary manager Brian Epstein, the tragic young businessman who also guided the career of The Beatles.

“We learn how Cilla’s burgeoning friendship with John, Paul, George, and Ringo – the four young men who went on to conquer the music world – shaped her career.

“It was family friend Ritchie Starkey (Ringo), the teddy-boy with a greasy quiff, who helped her to cross paths with Brian Epstein and producer George Martin, who were to launch her career with recording sessions at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios.”

TOWIE star Chloe Meadows rushed to hospital ‘looking grey’ after ignoring symptoms

The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Meadows has recalled the time she was rushed to hospital from filming after ignoring some worrying symptoms

The Only Way Is Essex star opened up about her health(Image: Grab)

The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Meadows has shared how she was rushed to hospital after ignoring some worrying health symptoms. Chloe has had a chronic inflammatory bowel condition for a decade but she avoided going to the doctors.

She had had some tests at the age of 26 after losing a lot of blood. She wasn’t keen but her mother insisted she should go to the doctors and she did, where they gave her a blood test.

Whilst filming for the hit show, she missed several calls from her father who had said that her blood was “so low” and doctors had advised her to go to accident and emergency immediately.

Speaking on podcast Bedside Manners with Dr Oscar Duke, she said: “I went to the hospital. I had to have all of these checks and these iron infusions and that was where it started.”

Chloe also explained how she first discovered the symptoms of ulcerative colitis when she was 16 but didn’t do anything about it.

“I went to a college where I boarded when I was 16. I was staying away from home and I was living in a student house and there was blood down the toilet. I remember I told my mum and I was like, there’s quite a lot of blood down the toilet,” she said.

“I’m not really sure what’s going on. She was of course like, go to the doctors. I went to the doctors, and they said that I would have to have a colonoscopy, which is a camera into the bowel.”

Chloe then said she hadn’t been to the hospital a lot and was “never sick” so she never went to the appointment as she was terrified.

“The doctor referred me and I got this letter, and this is awful, but I got this letter and I just never went to the appointment because I was terrified. Then I ignored it and what would happen, which is what I realise now, is that I can go into remission, I can go into a flare-up in remission. It would stop for periods of time so that the blood would go away,” she said.

“I’d be like, ‘Oh, cool, it’s gone away, I’m better. There’s nothing wrong with me’. I’d go through years where it wouldn’t happen and then it would happen again, and then it would stop again. I would probably lie to my mum about how much it would happen because she always pestered me about it and I was like, ‘No, it’s fine.'”
