Real Madrid is preparing to play host to a new England player, with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to the Spanish giants expected to be announced any day. The 26-year-old star recently revealed he was leaving his boyhood club on a free transfer after his contract with this year’s Premier League champions expired.

Real Madrid has asked Liverpool to release Trent for free to make him available for Club World Cup which starts on June 14, with the player booed by some fans after announcing his departure from Liverpool. He threw a “Summer of 66” BBQ to say goodbye to his teammates and staff, held at the club’s training centre.

If the star makes his expected move to the Spanish capital city, a luxury lifestyle will await him. The 26-year-old player would follow in the footsteps of English players including David Beckham, who won the La Liga title in his final, fourth season with the club and Jude Bellingham, who signed a six-year contract with Los Blancos in 2023.

A video posted by the footballer revealed a large outdoor pool, water feature, huge kitchen, home theatre and personal gym. His property boasts picturesque views over the swanky La Finca Golf Resort and mountain views.

“There are times when I go out to have a coffee near my house or go downtown to eat,” he told Real Madrid TV. “Then I go back home to rest for a while in the garden if it’s nice and sunny.

“If my friends are here, we go out to dinner and back home. It’s really nice. You meet people in the places you go to most. They don’t see you as Jude Bellingham the footballer, just Jude who comes to have a coffee and that’s great.

“The people I meet in the city look after me a lot. I feel at home.”

Over in the city centre, a 20 minute journey from La Finca, Madrid is filled with high-end eateries Trent could enjoy with his girlfriend of eight months, Instagram model Estelle Behnke. They include Mesón Txistu, which offers traditional Basque cuisine and is often frequented by Real Madrid stars and Asador Donostiarra, the preferred steakhouse of David Beckham when he played for Los Blancos which remains a favourite with the players.

BlackHaus, formerly known as Oh!, is a club and restaurant loved by Madrid’s rich and famous, while The Pacha nightclub is a city institution. And when it comes to shopping, footballers head to the Barrio de Salamanca neighbourhood.

Denise Welch says her depression is possibly linked to a ‘silent’ health issue

The Loose Women star, 66, illuminated a little-known health issue that’s possibly linked to depression symptoms

In 36 years of fighting depression, Denise said she had never heard of this health issue before(Image: Getty Images)

Denise Welch has opened up about the return of her depression and the possible underlying cause of her ongoing symptoms. The 66-year-old said she recently discussed mental health with a neurologist in Los Angeles, who explained that a lesser-known health issue could be behind her struggle.

In 36 years of fighting depression, Denise said she had never heard of this health issue before and spoke on ITV’s Loose Women to spread awareness. “I met, through a friend, a neurologist in Los Angeles, and I’d never talked to a neurologist before,” she told her fellow panellists.

“And I was explaining to him the onset of my depression, and he said, ‘That is incredibly, incredibly rare.’ Whether it is endogenous, that’s chemical, or whether it’s reactive. And he said, because your son has excruciating cluster migraines, he said, ‘Have you ever had a migraine?’ I said, ‘No, I barely get a headache, I’m a stomach person.’

“And he said, ‘Have you ever heard of a non-headache migraine?'” Nodding to co-star Coleen Nolan, Denise continued: “You’re the only person who said you had, and I had never heard of such a thing.

“I then became aware of it and started to study it because he said that when I get the tingling in my palm and the taste in my mouth, he said it’s almost like a migraine sufferer has an aura.”

An aura refers to a set of warning signs that occur before a migraine. These symptoms can differ from person to person but commonly involve issues with vision, tingling sensations and nausea.

According to the NHS, these symptoms should not last longer than one hour. Denise continued: “So, before a migraine, it’s preceded by an aura, which can be a physical aura or a psychological aura.

“…Or some people get a sense of foreboding, or I know I’m getting ill if I start to panic about little bits of clutter. I’m an untidy person, so it normally doesn’t worry me, but I’ll get very anxious, and Lincoln will often know that I’m going down.

“Anyway, I’ve started looking into this and thought, in 36 years nobody has said to me, ‘Have a look at the symptoms of non-headache migraine and cortical spreading depression,’ which comes on in a wave, which is linked to migraine.

“So, again, I’m not saying, ‘Oh, that’s what I’ve got,’ but it’s just how lacking we are in constant research and information about depression as an illness.” Non-headache migraines, also known as silent migraines, usually encompass just the aura without any head pain.

Like other migraines, these can last between two hours and three days. It’s believed that just 5% of people with migraines suffer from non-headache, silent episodes.

However, the Cleveland Clinic adds: “Some silent migraine symptoms are similar to other more serious medical conditions. So, don’t hesitate to get immediate medical attention if you have sudden, significant symptoms like difficulty talking, numbness and weakness.”

Love Island’s Jess White sparks concern after ‘bizarre’ waves of sickness

A former Love Island star has left fans concerned about her health. Jess White, who appeared on season 11 of the show last year, has shared her worries on social media, revealing she feels sick at least once a day.

Taking to TikTok, the reality star, 26, questioned whether her health was normal and explained that she says “I feel sick” once a day but feels better shortly after saying it. Lying in her bed with a cuddly toy, the retail manager from Stockport told fans she had a “genuine question” as she opened up about her issue.

In view of her 60,000 followers on the video-sharing platform, she captioned her post: “Me saying I feel sick every day for the 15th time.” She said: “So, this is a genuine question. Is it just me or is it normal to feel sick everyday? I actually swear I’ll probably say, ‘I feel sick,’ probably comes out of my mouth at least once a day.

“And then I feel fine. Then I get this wave of ‘I feel sick,’ and that’s it, it’ll just clear. I’m never ever sick, I just feel sick all the time. It’s bizarre. The point now, if I don’t feel sick I’m like ‘Why don’t I feel sick? I’m gonna feel sick at some point’, then I feel sick. I can’t even explain it.

“Today I felt fine, I was like ‘I’m gonna eat something, I feel hungry,’ put a pizza in. Feel sick, can’t eat it. What does that mean?” Her post, which has been viewed over 97,000 times, was soon flooded with messages from her concerned followers.

“Get bloods done you may have low folic acid,” said one. A second went on to write: “Anxiety – this is me every day.” While a third follower commented: “I used to feel sick every single day when I was in high school and it was the worst thing ever! Get checked by your doctor could be low on something.”

Meanwhile, another encouraged Jess to speak to her general practitioner to find out whether she can take medication to stop the feeling. The TV star found fame last summer after becoming embroiled in a love triangle with Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint throughout the series.

Despite her antics in the villa racking up a lot of screentime, she was dramatically cut from the programme just before the final episode in a mass dumping. During one argument with Harriett, Jess was left enraged as she fumed: “I’m the prize.”

Ahead of the most recent series of All Stars, it was rumoured that Jess would be leaving the North West and heading out to South Africa for the series. She took to social media to hint she was heading on a trip after undergoing a makeover at a salon.

Speaking to her hairdresser, she said: “I just want to be shocked. I know I’m really dark but a long time ago I was really really blonde. I’m not saying I want to be beach blonde but I feel like I’ve been this colour for years and I just want something different.”

When asked how long her foreign trip would be, she replied: “I don’t know yet, it depends.” However, she ultimately didn’t make the final casting.

King Charles to send powerful message to Donald Trump with historic visit to Canada

King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Canada House on Trafalgar Square in Central London today ahead of their historic visit to Ottawa next week for the State Opening of Parliament

King Charles will “reinforce the power and the strength of the message” to Donald Trump that “Canada is not for sale” when he makes a historic visit to the country next week. Charles will travel to Canada for the first time as monarch when he flies to Ottawa with Queen Camilla on Monday to attend the State Opening of Parliament.

Ahead of their visit, the royal couple toured Canada House on Trafalgar Square where they were shown a giant map of the country’s historic sites. Ralph Goodale, the High Commissioner for Canada in the UK, said the visit would be significant in the wake of verbal aggression from the US president that Canada should become the 51st state of America.

Mark Carney, the newly elected prime minister of Canada, told Trump that Canada was not for sale following the US president’s comments. Mr Goodale said: “The prime minister has made it clear that Canada is not for sale not, is not for sale ever, and I think he probably added five ‘nevers’ after that to make the point.

“The King as head of state will reinforce the power and the strength of that message and it is as I said before captured in our anthem. We are the true north, strong and free and we will stay that way.”

Charles and Camilla were welcomed on the steps of Canada House by two Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers before being shown inside to view a giant floor map of the country. “It’s brilliant, it really is,” said Charles as he walked across the map. “I wish I could bring it every time I go to Canada to remind myself where I’m going and where I’ve been.”

Charles and Camilla will arrive in the Canadian capital on Monday afternoon, where they will undertake a community engagement in Ottawa. On Tuesday, the King will speak at the State Opening, the first time a British monarch has attended the event since the late Queen Elizabeth II did in 1977.

The royals’ visit marks the 100th anniversary of Canada House, which was opened in June 1925. Following in the footsteps of George V, who opened the building a century ago, Charles was presented with the key to Canada House.

Echoing the key given to his great grandfather, which was cast in Canadian bronze, silver and nickel, the King was given a key created by Morgan Asoyuf, an Indigenous Ts’myen Canadian artist.

Charles today was particularly taken with a map of the Torngat Mountains and Wood Buffalo national park where wood bison are being reintroduced. He pointed out Churchill in Northern Manitoba on the map and told the King: “I had my first audience with the [late] majesty in 2021 and she was speaking very fondly of visiting Churchill and seeing the polar bears.”

The Queen, wearing a cream crepe silk dress, in a floral print by Fiona Clare, was shown an area near Montreal and said she’d visited the area in Quebec previously on a family holiday saying “it was lovely”. Pointing to an area on the map, Robert Fry, the deputy high commissioner, told the Queen: “That was also where the battle of Quebec was fought when the British took over Canada from the French.”

The map features other sites of interest including battles fought during the 1812 war between the US and Britain, although these were not explicitly pointed out to the King and Queen. Standing on a stage to present the key to Charles, Mr Goodale said: “Your presence here today launches your journey to Canada next week. This will be your 20th visit but your first as reigning monarch. Your dear mother Queen Elizabeth II often said to the delight of Canadians that a journey to Canada felt like coming home. We hope that you feel exactly the same way.”

Speaking after the visit, Chief Perry Bellegarde, a first nations advocate and Honorary President of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, said that the King’s “throne speech” at the opening of parliament next week was “a huge deal”. He said: “To have the head of state, the monarch, come, is huge. And to read the speech from the throne sends a very strong message that Canada is an independent sovereign country.”

Adidas, Puma Family Feud To Be Turned Into TV Series

The bitter brotherly conflict that led to the creation of Adidas and Puma sports shoes in the same small German town in the 1940s is being adapted into a television series, according to producers’ announcement on Sunday.

No Fat Ego, a Hollywood-based director, is sponsoring the project, which is supported by the Adolf “Adi” Dassler-founded Adidas empire.

One of the most intriguing fraternal conflicts in corporate history pitted Adi against his brother Rudolf (“Rudi”), who later founded rival Puma, will be explored in this film.

Before starting a family-owned footwear business, the two men started dating after World War II, splitting their town Herzogenaurach due to current conflicts.

Mark Williams, the writer behind the popular Netflix series “Ozark,” has been hired to lead the project. He is currently searching through the story’s Dassler family photos and memorabilia.

At the Cannes film festival, Williams told AFP, “Everyone knows the brands, but the story behind them is something we don’t really know,” the brand’s representative said.

How the brothers were portrayed during the war will be one of the most sensitive areas, especially for the reputations of the multi-billion-dollar footwear companies today.

In the 1930s, both of the business elite’s members joined the Nazi party, as was customary.

However, Rudi returned to a defeated Germany and was detained by Allied forces after going to battle.

Adi made an effort to keep the business going while she stayed at home, Williams continued.

As part of the war effort, they seized their factory, which was later turned into a munitions factory.

In contrast to the earlier hit HBO series, the series makes the promise of being a “Succession-type drama between the family” set over several generations, Williams said.

Hollywood support

Niels Juul, the director of Martin Scorsese’s most recent films and No Fat Ego’s head, claimed he was initially drawn to the story after learning about the collaboration between the Dassler brothers and legendary black American runner Jesse Owens.

Owens rose to fame at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, which Hitler had hoped would show off white German supremacy, partially as a result of their cutting-edge spiked footwear.

Before releasing the series to streaming services, No Fat Ego intends to continue developing the series without any restrictions on how it is edited.
