Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have been at the centre of a feud with the Beckhams, with the aspiring chef snubbing his father’s recent knighthood

When David Beckham was revealed to be in the King’s Birthday Honours List, his son, Brooklyn, was nowhere to be found on social media congratulating him. His other sons, Cruz and Romeo, took to their Instagram pages to share their pride for the football icon, with Cruz writing: “I’m so proud dad I love you. Sir David Beckham, has a nice ring to it.”

Romeo posted on his Stories: “So so proud of you.” Victoria posted a loving snap of herself kissing her husband on his cheek, before gushing: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you.

“Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered. However, Brooklyn opted to post an advert for Pretzel Pita Chips half an hour the news was revealed. Not long after, he returned to his Instagram Stories to share a snap of his snack, which included whiskey, caviar, wine and his hot sauce.

According to sources, David never told Brooklyn about his accolade and the former aspiring chef learned about the achievement through the media.

A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour, while a source quoted as someone close to his parents told the publication: “Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect.”

There had been rumours of a family feud for months, with fans noticing how Brooklyn and Nicola snubbed Victoria’s birthday party for Coachella.

A month later, Brooklyn and his socialite wife were absent from David’s multiple lavish celebrations for his milestone 50th birthday, including the intimate dinner in Paris and the celebrity party in Notting Hill.

Things heated up when he declared that he will “always choose” his wife Nicola in an Instagram post. The comment from Brooklyn comes after weeks of speculation over the state of his relationship with his parents and his brother Romeo Beckham.

There has been plenty of talk of what sparked the falling out – with Romeo’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull a big part of it. Brooklyn briefly dated Kim before he was married to Nicola and has apparently called her integrity into question.

Brooklyn was said to be concerned about ex Kim’s motives in dating his younger brother and wasn’t sure she had his best interests at heart. Sources claimed that the rift between the pair was why Brooklyn and his Nicola were not present when David held a pre-birthday party.

In recent days, it was reported that the hot sauce enthusiast told his famous parents he ‘wants no contact’ with them. Sources close to Brooklyn told Page Six that he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour and had known it was so important.

However, a separate source close to the Beckhams told the publication: “Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect.”

Yet a separate Brooklyn source denied the claim, saying: “This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honour being bestowed on Brooklyn’s father.”

British rapper, Bru-C, real name Josh Bruce, will not be performing again this year after telling fans he needed to prioritise his mental health in an admission, which he said was ‘difficult to make’

A MOBO Award winner has pulled out of performing at Glastonbury after cancelling all his gigs for the rest of the year. Rapper, Bru-C, real name Josh Bruce, who was due to perform at Worthy Farm this summer, said he needs to focus on his mental health, admitting he had been ‘trying his best to bury things’.

The hip hop star from Derbyshire, 33, said he was “really hoping” that he wouldn’t have to cancel all his commitments, including Glastonbury, for the rest of year, but admitted he needs to “take a step back”. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “I’m really sorry to announce I’m going to have to cancel all my upcoming show commitments for 2025/the foreseeable future. Many of you know I’ve been struggling with mental health issues for some time now and I’ve tried my best to bury things and keep my life and career moving forward.”

Bru-C, who won the Best Newcomer award at the MOBOs in 2022, explained that he’d “got gradually worse over the last few years” and needed to “take another step back to try and get back to kind of stable place in my life”.

He insisted it was the “last thing” he wanted to do to let down fans, but needed some time out to take get his life “back on track”.

The rapper continued: “I know a lot of people will have spent hard earned money to come out to the shows I’m booked at, and I really am sorry for the impact of this decision will have on you all.

“I hope you understand I have to prioritise my own mental and physical health.”

Admitting he didn’t know when he’d be back on stage again, Bru-C concluded: “I want you to know I’m seeking the right help and support, and I take none of this for granted. I just want to be better, when that will be I don’t know.”

Responding to his post, Bru-C’s pals from the music industry sent him their support. Rapper Gardna wrote in the comments section: “Brother the tunes you have are timeless.

“The main stage will always be ready for you! Go well king!”

DJ and musician, Example added: “Take your time man. Focus on yourself. Mad respect for this post. Hopefully it helps others. Love ya x”

Meanwhile, Toddla T, a producer commented: “we love you bro. a show is a show. they aint going anywhere .. you can enter the stage again in the future if u choose.. heal up and come back match fit just like when a baller mash up his ankle… take as long as you need.”

Now based in Nottingham, Bru-C’s album Original Sounds was released in November 2019 with CruCast, which was his record label at the time.

His second album Smile was released in December 2020. In December 2021, Bru-C signed a contract to join the major record label, Def Jam Recordings.

Sydney Sweeney stars in a new film packed with A-list talent that’s available to stream completely free. The Euphoria actress stars alongside Oscar-winner Julianne Moore in Echo Valley, an ‘edge-of-your-seat thriller’ billed as a ‘tale of love, sacrifice and survival’.

The official synopsis reads: “Kate (Moore) is a mother struggling to make peace with her troubled daughter Claire (Sweeney) – a situation that becomes even more perilous when Claire shows up on Kate’s doorstep, hysterical and covered in someone else’s blood. As Kate pieces together the shocking truth of what happened, she learns just how far a mother will go to try to save her child.”

Alongside its two leads, the film also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Fiona Shaw, Kyle MacLachlan and Edmund Donovan. Echo Valley is streaming now exclusively on Apple TV+ and can be watched for free with Apple’s seven-day free trial.

For those sticking with Apple TV+, early reactions for Echo Valley have been somewhat mixed, but according to The Telegraph’s four-star review, it may just be the ‘plot-twist thriller of the year’.

The Hollywood Reporter hailed it as ‘satisfyingly tense’, saying: “Echo Valley takes some genuinely gripping turns as well as a few unbelievable detours in its journey through Kate’s increasingly complicated life and relationship with her daughter.

“Even as the web gets sticky, Pearce maintains control of each thread with his steady direction.”

In its two-star review, The Guardian said: “After an intriguing opening, the convoluted narrative doesn’t merely jump the shark but lies down and lets the shark jump over it before the pair of them charleston their way across the rolling Pennsylvanian farmland where the film is supposed to be set.”

A warmer reaction came from Variety, which said: “When you’re simply looking for something semi-interesting to stream, stories like these don’t necessarily require great actors, but great actors are the reason some of them still reverberate in our memory decades later.”

Set times

The show starts begin at 3.30pm, and there is only one stage, so fans don’t need to worry about pegging it from tent to tent to see their favourite acts à la Glastonbury.

The full set-times have not yet been released by Capital, but last year headliners Sabrina Carpenter and RAYE started their performances at 7.50pm and 8.15pm respectively, so we predict similar times for headliners Mariah, Benson Boone, and Will.

Capital will release set times on their website on the morning of the event, which will end at 9.30pm.
