She can already take pride in the fact that she is a two-time Olympic boxing champion and a star of Strictly Come Dancing. But now, Nicola Adams has lifted the lid on her new career move.
The 42 year old former athlete has revealed that she has been taking acting lessons and is now set to make her acting debut in a film next year. Nicola is set to star in The Gun on Second Street alongside Poppy Delevigne and Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer.
The movie’s plot centers on America’s rising gun crime rate. Nicola explained to The Sun about her new career, saying, “I just want to work with people who are just as hungry as I am.” I don’t want things to just go right when I show up.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star who took the dancefloor by storm in 2020, added: “I put in the work, I put in the graft, just as I do as an athlete as well. I want to take it as far as I can in terms of how I grow as an actor. “
Nicola claimed that her extensive acting and character development had allowed her to use the lessons she had learned over the years.
The boxing champion has since taken on a subdued role in the upcoming movie, and she credits this with revealing the character’s personality, which enables her to convincingly portray deep emotions.
And when questioned about how to develop character and convey emotion, Nicola responded that she tries to feel those emotions for herself and doesn’t use depressing language to convey those feelings.

Alongside her upcoming film, Nicola is also starring in a BBC children’s show titled High Hoops, which is due for release in November.
Since Nicola is no longer competing in the boxing ring, she is now free to pursue her dream, which she has always had.
Nicola explained to the publication that she had no idea what to do with acting while boxing when explaining her new career. However, she claimed that Strictly gave her the freedom to experiment.
After her partner Katya Jones tested positive for Covid, Nicola was forced to resign from the BBC dancing competition in November 2020.
The gold medalist said at the time, “My Strictly journey has come to an end so quickly. There was so much more I could give and so many recipients I could benefit! But I just want to say a huge thank you to Katya for being “the best dance partner anyone could ask for.”
She continued, “I’m devastated to be out of the competition, but the Covid measures in place are to keep everyone safe, and I’m doing what I can to help.”

And you can see why Nicola was devastated, despite her best efforts to win the glitterball.
She stated in an interview that she was “super competitive,” and that she will definitely put “110%” into my training and performance because I do want to win. “I’m super competitive,” she said. It’s entirely different to say whether I’ll be successful.

Jenny Tomlin, a best-selling author, was devastated by her son’s unexpected 2022 death. She lost touch with her daughter, former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon, who she assumed was hurting. She is now pleading for her pardon.
Martine McCutcheon and her mum, Jenny Tomlin, used to be joined at the hip, but a sudden death in the family led to a devastating breakdown. Now heartbroken Jenny is desperate for a reconciliation. “There was nothing she didn’t include me in,” says Jenny. “We did all the wonderful stuff – the premiere of Love Actually, the restaurants – but the memories I cherish are of us just sitting on my bed, bringing up old memories and laughing. I miss that.”
Their relationship started to fall apart after the tragic death of Martine’s brother Laurence John – known affectionately as LJ – in 2022. He was just 31. Jenny says she suffered an emotional breakdown and pushed Martine away. Jenny, 69, wants to apologise to Martine, 49, for cutting her off, she reveals in an exclusive interview with OK!.

Up until Jenny’s tragic passing in 2023, Martine and her brother AJ, were ” joined at the hip.”
“I detach when I lost LJ.” She claims that she was unable to speak with Martine because she was so devastated. Martine tried to contact me for months, but I never got back. There was no big row. Martine needed me, too, because she was grieving. I’d like to apologize. It physically hurts to miss her so much.
Although Jenny and Martine did briefly meet once more in October, it wasn’t the reunion she had hoped for. “Jenny said to me, “Martine texted me right away. She had recently relocated and enquired about my husband Alan’s ability to paint. We took the opportunity and went over, but we didn’t go into great detail. The atmosphere was heavy and the awkwardness.
There was vague talk of Christmas plans, but nothing was confirmed. That, Jenny says, was when the silence truly began. Reflecting on another high-profile rift that has made headlines, Jenny says: “I understand the pain Victoria Beckham is going through over her estrangement from Brooklyn. He was her firstborn, too. It’s a heartbreaking situation for anybody who is estranged or has lost their child.”
Jenny’s voice “cracks” when she recalls the agony of losing LJ. Losing a child is not a natural process. However, “Martine’s heart broke because Jenny realizes the error she made.” She claims that she eventually managed to free herself from that dark hole, but perhaps it was too late.

Jenny recalls receiving a call from LJ’s fiancée the day he passed away, telling her that they couldn’t revive him. Jenny continued to drive the hour and a half from her Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, home to LJ’s on the Essex coast, but it was too late.
My precious boy was wrapped up on the floor. She says, “I’m here, son, it’s okay,” I remember saying, “I’m here,” and she looks at me tearfully. Although they had tried hard, they were unable to save him. It resembled a nightmare,” the author said. My boy disappeared, I couldn’t believe it.
Acute ischaemic heart disease and diabetes were discovered in LJ, who reportedly didn’t smoke or drink. Jenny called Martine right away, but her daughter was so upset that she had to speak with paramedics to find out what had happened. Jenny drove to Martine’s early in the morning.
Jenny responds, “She saw me and realized I needed to look after her.” She had set up the bathroom, peeled my hair, cuddled me, and somehow I slept. On October 31, 2022, LJ was interred. Jenny claims that her life “went down a deep, dark pit” afterward. She claims that a mental health team prescribed her anti-anxiety medication.
Martine adored her younger brother and was very protective over him, says Jenny(Image: martinemccutcheon/Instagram )
Martine, who played Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders from 1994 to 1998, was 15 when LJ was born and Jenny recalls how she became a sort of surrogate mum to him. Following LJ’s death, Jenny was paralysed by anxiety, and suspects this is at the heart of why she hasn’t seen her daughter or grandson, 10-year-old Rafferty, in so long.
“I didn’t contact Martine,” she says. “I abandoned her. I was so wrapped up in my own grief that I was neglecting my other child. That was the start of it, and things just… snowballed. And here we are.” Jenny, an author of novels and memoir, including Behind Closed Doors about the abuse she suffered as a child, says she’s reached out to Martine recently – calling, texting, sending cards – but claims she has had no response.
Jenny and Alan drove the 90 minutes to Martine’s home in Surrey just after a moment of clarity. She admits, “I was yelling her name when I knocked on the door.” “But no one responded. I then gave up, got in the car, and drove home indignant. I said to Alan in response, “I don’t think she’ll ever speak to me again.”
I conducted this interview in response to Martine’s request to get in touch with me. Jenny has begun writing a memoir about LJ and feels more like herself in the last couple of months. However, she continues to be guilty for Martine. Martine fell short. Not a day passes without I thinking of her.

She claims that losing Rafferty was like having yet another death. Jenny hopes to dedicate a child’s book to Rafferty in honor of his accomplishments.
When Martine’s 18-year relationship to musician Jack McManus broke down last year, she and Jenny weren’t in contact. And it’s not something Jenny is willing to discuss. “That’s between Martine and Jack,” she says.
“I don’t believe I’ll ever give up on trying to find my girl.” I’d apologize to Martine if I could talk to her. I’ve lost one child, but I’m not going to lose another.
Jenny turns 70 next year. When her daughter and her grandson play in the garden, the best gift she could give her would be to have a cuppa with them. She claims, “I’ve witnessed what silence does to families.” For us, I don’t want that. I don’t want to be another regret story. We should fall in love, please. to return us.

Trauma doesn’t always resemble tears, according to legend.
Grief expert Tina Chummun, Person Centred Trauma Specialist Psychotherapist of Care2Counsel, says of Jenny’s situation: “When a mother loses a child, especially in a traumatic or unexpected way, her nervous system can become overwhelmed – we often see intense grief manifest as numbness, withdrawal or cognitive collapse.
“If you are grieving the loss of one child and were unable to attend the other child’s birth. Her daughter’s mother may have vanished just as she was most in need, causing a rupture that is now unresolvable.
As a mother, emerging from that fog years later and finding the door closed can feel like going through another bereavement, the living grief of separation as though she has lost both children, Tina says. Regaining trust requires patience, patience, and practice. “.

According to insiders, the wife of the Black Sabbath star made every effort to get him on stage.
Determined Sharon waged a secret battle in the days leading up to the Villa Park gig(Image: PA)
Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance in his native country almost never occurred. We can reveal that the rock legend was warned that if he pursued his dream of standing and biding his devoted fans farewell, insurers would not cover the show.
But Ozzy’s determined wife Sharon waged a secret battle with the insurance agents – and overcame any potential issues by seating the Black Sabbath frontman in a throne for his five solo tracks and four Sabbath tunes. Ozzy, who died on Tuesday at the age of 76, just two weeks after the show, had vowed to “get back on that stage no matter what”.

However, an LA promoter said the superstar was effectively banned from any on stage movement during the charity show by insurance firms. It prompted concerns that the Back To The Beginning gig, at Villa Park in Birmingham, would be axed. Ozzy had spent over a year working with physios, trainers and specialists to be able to put on a show for fans after his health battles.
It breaks my heart to think about the strain Ozzy and Sharon experienced in those final few weeks, according to our insider. Ozzy had figured out how to get himself to a position where he could at least wave and stand up to fans. However, for shows of this size, the show won’t go ahead if the artists don’t meet the risk liability requirements.
No insurance agent would consent to let Oz stand because of the Parkinson’s and walking issues. They made a deal with him so he could be safely enshrined in his throne in order to avoid paying a sizable insurance premium on the charity show. A fantastic compromise was reached. Because of the liability concerns, it really speaks to Sharon’s determination and determination to pull it off. She performed miracles.

Ozzy had mentioned going through “be ready to play” by participating in “heavy duty training sessions three times per day.” He even claimed that his home had a personal trainer. At Birmingham’s NEC, Ozzy was last seen scurrying slowly inside and outside the Comic Con Midlands. A week before his death, members of the public saw his wife Sharon and son Jack with him while he had a walking stick, but he moved slowly and unaided.
Tommy Iommi, a Sabbath band mate, addressed the technical difficulties and stresses in a Sirius XM interview following BTTB. With only a few days until the show, he revealed that Ozzy’s performance was uncertain.
Tommy, 77, said, “It was really making up as we went on. Really, it was about how long Ozzy could stay put. Because we didn’t know when he was performing his own set, I didn’t believe he should because I didn’t want him to be worn out by the time he’d arrived with us. He did, however, follow his own set. We ended up recording four songs, but we had put aside six or seven. However, we managed to complete four, which was fine.

Ozzy’s family announced he had died in statement on Tuesday which shocked the music world. The statement said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has admitted she was stunned to fall pregnant so fast after agreeing to have a second child with boyfriend Billy Webb – who was jailed in 2023 for drugs crimes
Shaughna Phillips has shared fresh details of her second pregnancy(Image: FILE)
Shaughna Phillips has revealed she was shocked to learn she was pregnant a second time – as it all happened so fast. The 31-year-old is already a mother to two-year-old daughter Lucia – who she shares with former estate agent Billy Webb.
Reality show fans will know Shaughna shot to fame in 2020 when she was a contestant on the sixth season of ITV’s Love Island. She later fell for Billy – who was jailed in 2023 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine – worth at least £360,000.
While Billy was sentenced to nine years behind bars – with his trial taking place in the thick of Shaughna’s first pregnancy – he is soon to be given early release from his jail term. While behind bars, however, he and Shaughna have managed to conceive their second child – who is expected to arrive in November.
Opening up about the conception, Shaughna has explained that she and Billy discussed their plans to expand their little family. However, the Love Island beauty was left stunned by just how quickly she fell pregnant the second time.
In a new interview, she joked that she kept one pregnancy test company in business as she bought so many tests just to be ready to find out if she and Billy had been successful or not. And she also revealed she was stunned to see a positive result soon after they agreed to try a second time.

She told The Sun: “I was trying. It was my first attempt at, I guess, getting pregnant, like actively trying. And so I knew that there was a chance, but I’ve probably kept Clear Blue in business.
“If you saw my Amazon orders, I was ordering test after test after test. It was actually ridiculous. So, yeah, I knew that there was a chance. But I really didn’t expect it to happen on the first try. Like, I’m very lucky in that sense.”
The reality star’s latest interview comes after she already opened up to The Mirror about her second pregnancy plans. She revealed she had been tracking her ovulation to boost her chances of conceiving, and said she was stunned that her baby dream came true so quickly.

“It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home,” she told us when she was already four-and-a-half months pregnant. “I was like, ‘You know what? Why not? Let’s just see’. And literally, the next day, I said to Billy, ‘I think I’m pregnant.’”
And she said: “I found out very, very early on. I was doing maybe five tests a day. I’m not even exaggerating.”
Shaughna said Billy was allowed out from jail on home visits for “a few days” each month. And while she has so far been forced to raise her daughter as a single parent, she shared her hope that Billy will be released in time for their new arrival.
“I know the date that he’s due to be home, but I’m not saying it just because anything could happen,” she admitted cautiously. “But hopefully he will be fully home before my baby is due.”
Last month, Shaughna discussed the gender of her unborn second child during a Q&A with her Instagram followers. One fan asked: “So pleased for you! Are you going to find out the gender?” Shaughna shared a screengrab of herself from a longer video where she was seen with her mouth wide open in shock. She wrote: “We do know the gender, this was my reaction.”

The star also revealed she will be undergoing a C-Section after having a ‘rough’ birth with daughter Lucia.
Speaking about Lucia’s birth, she said: “Induction, 2 days labour, pushed for an hour and she was not moving, She got really stressed and was rushed for forceps which FAILED because she turned around, and then she was rushed for an emergency C-Section and ended up with a postpartum haemorrhage.”
McFly star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones married his wife Georgia in 2014, and together they have son Cooper
Danny Jones said his wife didn’t understand why he needed help at first
McFly star Danny Jones returns to screens tonight in a re-run of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, just days after his wife Georgia posted their first photo together in four months. This snap was shared after he had an alleged kiss with his former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins at The Brit Awards earlier this year.
In the picture, Danny and Georgia are seen beaming, as they posed alongside 15 of her relatives for a family photo. The picture appears to quash any doubts about their 11-year marriage, as they continue to remain together.
Just weeks prior to the controversy, the 39-year-old musician gave his most candid interview to date, on the High Performance podcast. In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years.
The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since.
Danny and Georgia Jones have been married since 2014
Quizzed about his wife’s reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it.
“It’s just little steps over the years that you do and I think it’s the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say,” he shared.
“You know, it’s great talking to friends, it’s great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn’t understand why I had to go at first.
“She’s like, ‘Why don’t you talk to me? Why can’t I help you?’ But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively.”
Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. “I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful,” he revealed.
“That’s when I went to my wife and I was like, ‘I think I need to go back to therapy’, because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again.

“And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn’t want it to get too much for her.”
While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings.
Reflecting on his stint in last year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, he added: “There’s definitely things that I’ve learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. I still don’t do that, because I think understanding my emotions will help me to communicate better. I just need to work on that.”
Romeo and Harper Beckham looked relaxed and content as they enjoyed their time soaking up the sun in St Tropez narrowly missing elder brother Brooklyn Beckham

The Beckham family have been the talk of the town since it emerged that Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have become estranged. But it looks as though Romeo and his younger sister Harper were keen to put their family feud firmly behind them and make the most of their family holiday to the south of France.
The duo were spotted heading out for dinner in St Tropez and both Romeo and Harper cut casual appearances. Romeo was pictured wearing a red baseball cap, teamed with a round neck white sweater. He completed his look with a pair of pink knee length shorts, white socks and black shoes.
Meanwhile Harper opted for a white hoodie with the word “Seven” emblazoned across the front of it. The 14 year old daughter of David and Victoria Beckham completed her look with a pair of matching shorts and Birkenstock sandals.

But just a few days ago, Brooklyn had also been pictured in the same resort with his wife of three years on board her father’s yacht.
And while they put on a united front by hugging and kissing in full view of waiting photographers, according to body language expert Judi James, the strain of the feud is starting to show on her.

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Judi explained: “With her distant, expressionless eye gaze and her hand either clutching Brooklyn’s arm or encased in his hand, Nicola is looking like the tragic heroine here, perhaps wanting to suggest some vulnerability and strain behind her normally cool and confident exterior.”
She added: “This is a look that might make most caring husbands wary and trigger their protective side, which is what appears to have happened with Brooklyn here.
“While his wife walks along in her dramatic black fur tippet and with her hand placed on her bag to provide an emphatic and perhaps symbolic display of her wedding rings, Brooklyn looks more relaxed and dominant. Clutching her hand in his with his, with the back of his hand showing fully and the wrist bent in a protective clasp.”
She explained: “His mood looks confident and even rather upbeat here as though he enjoys being the strong guy in the relationship. His chest is splayed, his arms are held out and there’s a smile brewing on his face.”‘
Tensions within the Beckham household became even more evident when both Nicola and Brooklyn failed to turn up to David’s milestone 50th birthday party, earlier this year.
