At the 2025 BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival, Tom Grennan took to the Main Stage and wowed the audience with his performance by bringing out Mel C.

The 29-year-old Little Bit of Love singer was one of the stars at the 2025 Radio 1 Big Weekend in Liverpool, opening up about his surprising friendship with Spice Girls icon Mel C.

The star, who is from Bedford, performed alongside I Turn to You singer Mel, a 51-year-old, on Friday. The duo sang Mel’s hit song When You’re Gone, which she originally performed with Bryan Adams, while entertaining the audience with anecdotes and singing it.

After his set on the Main Stage at Sefton Park, Tom said, “Mel is a good mate of mine, but she’s a Scouse legend too – thankfully she was up for it!”

“The entire event was just a fantastic experience, and getting a few mates out on stage to join me really gave it a little something extra,” said one participant. However, doing something to honor the victims of Hillsborough just felt right.

Mel has always been a part of raising money for the support group and is a huge supporter of that cause. She really understands what it means for local people.

In her vlog, Molly-Mae also revealed that she ended up in hospital recently after experiencing “excruciating pain” following her trip to Dubai with Tommy Fury and their daughter Bambi. The mum-of-one said that shortly after returning to the UK from the United Arab Emirates, she ended up in A&E.

She shared in her latest vlog on YouTube, released earlier today, that she thought she had a blood clot after not moving around much on the flight home and in the hours afterwards. Molly-Mae said she was in pain and had a swollen leg, among other symptoms, which prompted her to seek help.

In the newly-uploaded vlog, she said: “Basically, I had my first A&E experience last night, guys. It was so so weird.” She suggested that she had “never” been to A&E before and that her recent visit proved to be “the weirdest experience”.

I thought I had a blood clot in my leg yesterday, and I thought I had one today. I was obviously on the plane for almost 8 hours when I was returning from Dubai, and I probably shouldn’t have. They say you must keep your legs moving and keep walking on long flights, without question. I hardly ever drink water, which is what I did.

The reality TV star claimed that after a number of medical examinations, she was told she was “completely fine” and that nothing about a blood clot had caused them any concern. She continued, “I feel fine now.”
