The TV host recently opted to live in Beverly Hills for the Cotswolds cobbles, but the stunning farmhouse is now back on the market.

The famous talk show host left the Hollywood Hills behind to make a new life for herself in the English countryside, along with her wife, actor Portia de Rossi, but now the two are selling their Cotswolds home.

Ellen reportedly moved into the home in November 2024 but is already on the hunt for a new pad again a short-term stay turned into a full-time homestead. After hearing the US election results, the couple decided they weren’t quite ready to go back to the States, and what was supposed to be a break turned into a new lifestyle.

Although Ellen reportedly opened up to fans about her plans after appearing in a one-off show hosted at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre, according to the Daily Mail. The 67-year-old explained, “We decided we needed a different house, and we are selling that house right now. It’s a beautiful stone farmhouse, therefore, if anyone wants a home.

The pair have since moved to a new home as they prepare to sell their 43-acre farmhouse, which they converted from six bedrooms to seven and added a two-bedroom guest cottage. The farmhouse has a gym, indoor pool, a games room, offices for guests, and, in true celebrity fashion, a helipad.

No fancy Cotswolds escape is complete without a pub, even for an American like Ellen. The couple’s idyllic home was initially thought to have cost a sizable £15 million, but it has since been put on the market for an eye-watering £22.5 million thanks to their personal touches and expansions.

The large farmhouse kitchen and breakfast room on the ground floor are at the home’s heart. A marble ensuite, two luxurious dressing rooms, and beautiful French doors opening onto a private space in one of the most beautiful gardens complete the main bedroom suite.

This sprawling estate, which is easily accessible via a 10-minute drive from Burford and is situated in the small village of Asthall in West Oxfordshire, is surrounded by numerous well-known landmarks. The Windmill, a much-loved charming country pub, is among the stars of Asthall Manor and Jeremy Clarkson’s.

The TV star further explained that the two made the eccentric move to the countryside the day before the US election. They made the decision to remain in their current location for a while after learning about Trump, which quickly turned into eight months and a complete remodel of their home.

According to The Daily Mail, “it is a simpler way of life.”

Locals want Birmingham International Airport to make a significant change, and Ozzy Osbourne, who will be honored today in Birmingham, will be honored with a cortege procession.

Birmingham Airport chiefs say they are “closely following” the petition to rename the flight hub “Ozzy Osbourne International”.

Bosses have confirmed a permanent piece of artwork dedicated to the star will be erected at the base, which is east of the city. They described the Black Sabbath frontman as “an inspiration to so many” and recognise his “heritage and contribution to the region” must be celebrated.

But the airport, a base for the likes of easyJet, Ryanair and TUI, stopped short at verifying plans it will be renamed “Ozzy Osbourne International,” a move championed by around 50,000 people so far in a petition online.

“Ozzy Osbourne is an inspiration to so many in our region, proving that talent, hard work and commitment can take you to all corners of the world. In the coming weeks, we will be looking at how we can celebrate his heritage and contribution to the region via terminal artwork, creating a greater sense of place for Birmingham and his fans,” the airport spokesperson told Birmingham Live.

The star will be laid to rest in a private funeral for family and friends today, but before that, there will be a special procession through Birmingham. The cortege will be followed by his family as it moves down Broad Street to the famous Black Sabbath bridge and bench, a tribute to the musician and his band.

The superfan who started the airport petition, Dan Hudson, told Birmingham Live: “Ozzy’s influence on music and culture is undeniable. Naming our international airport after him would be a fitting tribute to his extraordinary career and contributions to the arts.”

With pros like Nadiya Bychkova and Nadiya Bychkova already conducting rehearsals, Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year.

A retired rugby union player is reportedly in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. There’s already speculation over who they could be partnered with for the BBC dance contest if they end up taking part in the upcoming series.

The show is set to return later this year and rehearsals underway for the professional dancers. The line-up of contestants for the new series of Strictly has yet to be announced, but there’s been speculation over potential contestants in recent weeks.

Chris Robshaw, 39, who captained England’s national team, is now among those rumoured for the dancefloor when the show returns. Since his retirement from rugby in 2022, he’s already been on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

It’s been teased that Chris would likely be paired up with pro Nadiya Bychkova, 35, if he does Strictly this year. She was announced as one of the returning dancers in April, alongside two new additions to the pro line-up.

Chris, who is married to classical singer Camilla Kerslake, is thought to be almost 6 foot 2 inches tall so there’s speculation that Nadiya would be only pro close to matching his stature, unless he has a same-sex partner for the competition. A source teased to the Sun that Chris, who is reportedly in “advanced talks” for Strictly, and returning pro Nadiya could deliver “sizzling performances” if they are partnered on the show.

Chris is likely to be the hunkiest celebrity signing for the 2025 season, according to the source, who predicts some sizzling performances from Nadiya and Chris. However, because he was a former rugby player, he will also have some big dance shoes to fill as many other players have signed for Strictly and performed remarkably well there.

A number of former rugby players have competed on Strictly since the TV show launched in 2004, with Martin Offiah placing fourth in the first series. Matt Dawson was runner-up in 2006 and Kenny Logan then placed fifth in 2007.

Austin Healey also achieved a top five position when he competed in 2008, having placed fourth. Gavin Henson, who appeared on the show in 2010, and Ben Cohen, who competed in 2013, ended up in fifth and eighth place respectively.

More recently, contestants with a background in rugby haven’t done as well on Strictly though. Thom Evans placed twelfth when he competed in the ballroom back in 2014 and Ugo Monye placed eleventh in the contest in 2021.

The full cast list for the new series has not yet been revealed. However, the BBC has already made it clear which dancers will return to the stage, with Nadiya a part of the cast returning for a different series.

Nadiya and the other pros have already started rehearsing for the upcoming series. They have posted updates from training on Instagram, including introducing Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon, who are the newest pros on the show.

Nadiya shared a photo of the group dancing together last night in a studio. The best in the industry were pictured with her in the ballroom bubble. I’m so excited for it, and it’s another adventure.
