X Factor’s Aiden Grimshaw unrecognisable 15 years since starring with One Direction

After 15 years of wowing the judges on the well-known ITV talent show, Aiden Grimshaw, who first appeared on The X Factor in 2010, looks completely unrecognizable.

Aiden Grimshaw is barely recognisable 15 years since appearing on The X Factor alongside One Direction. The fresh-faced hopeful captivated the celebrity judges on Simon Cowell’s TV talent show back in 2010, when he boldly covered Kanye West’s smash hit Gold Digger in his audition, without a backing track. Louis Walsh branded the then-18 year old “absolutely brilliant”, Nicole Scherzinger said “I love your voice” and Simon Cowell added, “You’re one of the best we’ve found, certainly in Manchester and possibly – in your category – throughout the competition.”

Progressing week by week not only with 1D but also Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Waissel, Cher Lloyd, and eventual victor Matt Cardle, gap-year student Aiden secured a respectable ninth position.

Following his X Factor stint, Aiden signed a deal with record label RCA, releasing his debut single Is This Love, which peaked at number 35 on the UK Singles Chart. He then dropped his album Misty Eye, hitting number 19.

Aiden revealed in 2018 that he had been releasing music under the pseudonym “Butterjack,” but it later went back to his original name. He announced his new agreement with a Dutch record label in 2023.

Aiden now looks so different from his clean-shaven, quiff-haired X Factor days, often sporting a beard on his Instagram page and most recently appearing with a moustache and tousled hair.

He mentioned writing more songs a week ago, along with a photo of himself playing the guitar. The singer proclaimed “20 days of sunshine” to his 19k followers. Coughs for 13 days. Nearly two bank holidays have been written for 6 songs. 1 defeat in the Europa Cup final. A brand-new month, fresh music, and exciting new experiences. It might have been a ride.

Aiden’s appearance has changed significantly since his X Factor days.

Aiden has also expressed regret over not fully utilizing the opportunity that The X Factor had given him in the past.

He shared his thoughts with the Metro, saying, “My only regrets about the show is that maybe I didn’t shoot as hard as I could have in some of the parts of the later part because I tried to be cool. I would simply aim for everything, because why wouldn’t you do that? That is so foolish. But I thought it was enjoyable.

He continued, “There was a lot of pressure on me to find what to do, and my not wanting to be uncool prevented me from exploring all paths and being out there,” and continued, “There was a lot of pressure on me.”

Aiden was romantically linked to Cher Lloyd during his time on The X Factor, and talked about his bromance with Matt Cardle. The pair were said to spend all their time in the house chatting and making each other cups of tea. Aiden said: “Matt and me are really good mates, he’s a great bloke. We’ve got a really great bromance going on.”

Inside Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen’s wedding – from sister’s moving speech to £10k dress

Sunnie, an 18-year-old, was the subject of Daniel Dyer’s younger sister’s very special speech for the wedding ceremony that took place at the five-star Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire.

In a low-key wedding, TV star Dani Dyer and her West Ham football team beau Jarrod Bowen wed. Sunnie, Dani’s younger sister, gave a very touching speech during the ceremony.

The former Love Island star, who is a mum to three children, got engaged to Jarrod, 28, after he popped the question in a romantic proposal during a boat trip in Ibiza last year. Dani then returned to the White Isle for her hen do, which took place a week before she was due to walk down the aisle.

The 28-year-old reality star, who is the daughter of Danny Dyer and EastEnders, provided a few details about her nuptials during the planning process. The blushing bride reportedly stayed with her parents, Danny and Jo, on the day of the wedding, but she chose to go for a low-key wedding and wanted to follow tradition.

In the most recent images of their big day, the newlyweds appear smitten.

Clearly a fan of the Bridgerton aesthetic, the TV star’s nuptials were said to be themed around the Netflix hit, with lots of violins there to perform music. And while the celebrity couple’s fan base is large, the guest list for their VIP wedding has been kept small as the couple are said to have invited only 50 guests to celebrate their big day.

The bride and groom and all their guests dressed to impress for the pastel-themed ceremony, but Dani’s dress stole the show as she walked down the aisle. The Sun reported that Dani’s white off-the-shoulder gown by British designer Suzanne Neville cost a whopping £10,000 and was paid for by Danny and her mum, Jo, 48.

Dani’s younger sister Sunnie, who is 18-years-old, had a very special speech lined up for the big day. According to MailOnlne Sunnie shared a sweet poem at the ceremony. Sunnie read a poem from Sex and The City wedding scene, which went: ‘His hello was the end of her endings. Her laugh was their first step down the aisle. His hand would be hers to hold forever. His forever was as simple as her smile. He said she was what was missing. She said instantly she knew. She was a question to be answered. And his answer was “I do”.’

Dani and Jarrod were in a very important role, but their children had a lot to do. Her two-year-old twin daughters, Santiago, four, and Arty, 11, were page boys, as did Daniel and Jarrod.

Dani and Jarrod married in an outdoor ceremony at the five-star Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire. The £500-a-night hotel was originally built as a hunting lodge for the third Duke of Marlborough and includes 150 acres of formal gardens and parklands, originally designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, a serpentine lake and an outdoor pool. It is close to Pinewood Studios and just 40 minutes drive from central London, making it a favourite with film stars, including Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie and Jeff Goldblum.

A large outdoor marquee could be seen in the grounds of the gated complex on Saturday as two security guards stood guard. The marquee is the largest I’ve ever seen, a local said. We’ve had Sheikhs get married here, and I’ve never seen anything like it. It was constructed by them for days.

We’ll see if that holds true as the night progresses, noting that everything has been very civilized so far. Tom Cruise landed in his helicopter while Angelina Jolie stayed, too. While making a Jurassic Park movie at nearby Pinewood Studios, Jeff Goldblum also spent months here.

Louise Thompson shares her ‘great SKIMS t-shirt dupe’ that you can shop on Amazon

As she shared the £12 Amazon alternative that she is “chuffed” with, Louise Thompson has found the perfect alternative to Skims’ £48 T-shirt.

Louise raved about the affordable T-shirt from Amazon(Image: Louise Thompson/Instagram)

When it comes to wardrobe essentials, a simple white T-shirt is one of the most basic but essential items you can have. Easy to pair with anything, dress up or down and an instant way to make something look crisp and put together, we would hazard a guess that there’s not a wardrobe in the world that doesn’t have one.

However if you are in the market for adding a white T-shirt to your outfit rotations, Louise Thompson has found the perfect one that’s affordable, flattering and easy to wear. Posting on Instagram, Louise shared a link to Amazon’s Risipu Women’s Short Sleeve T-Shirt, writing: “I have found a great SKIMS dupe T-shirt from Amazon and I’m feeling chuffed about it.”

It’s interesting to note that Louise’s post was associated with an ad, presumably starring the former Made in Chelsea actress working for Amazon. There is no disputing that anyone looking to get the SKIMS look for less will love this affordable tee.

Louise’s Amazon doppleganger is much more affordable at £11.99. SKIMS’ short-sleeved Slim-Fit Stretch-Cotton T-Shirt retails for £48. With a cropped length that precisely hits your waist for a flattering fit, it maintains the same slim-fitting, streamlined appearance.

It’s a great addition to your basic wardrobe, and it comes in five colors, including white, black, and pink. Similar styles can be found at Hollister, where the Soft Stretch Seamless Fabric Longline Baby Tee is available for less than £9.99, and New Look, where the White Crew Neck Short Sleeve Bodysuit is the best option for a longer fit and more coverage.

The classic crew neck and soft, breathable, and stretchy fabric of the Amazon Risipu Women’s Short Sleeve T-Shirt are good purchases, but they are also available in a stretchy, 5% cotton blend. Additionally, it’s available in a range of sizes, from small to large.

Another Amazon customer has also highly rated it, with one rating it as “Soft and true to size, stretchy lightweight fabric that is washable, easy to dress up and down, comfortable and stylish option for everyday wear.”

Another person reaffirmed that this T-shirt is both breathable and of excellent quality. The black pair of pants is perfect with any color and style of pants, which I have. This works great for layering clothing, too. The sleeves extend halfway up my elbows, making them short. My waist is visible because it has been cropped.

However, it was said that the fabric was soft but the T-shirt was “extremely see-through.”

Romesh Ranganathan, a comedian and TV presenter, has described how Ranga’s family life was turned around when his father, Ranga, was imprisoned for fraud.

Comedian and TV star Romesh Ranganathan has recalled how his perfect upbringing was turned upside down when his dad Ranga who was imprisoned for fraud. Romesh was a teenager living in Crawley at the time and attending private school, when he and his younger brother and mother were forced to move out of the family home and live in a Bed & Breakfast for some time. Romesh recalled: “My dad had fallen into financial trouble. What it turns out is that he’d lost his job and he was trying to make money in this sort of Sri Lankan Del Boy way, and it wasn’t working out.

And he was unable to make their house’s mortgage payments. And they were unable to afford the tuition at the school I was enrolling in, even with my scholarship.

Matters came to a head when it became apparent Ranga had also been having an affair and when he disappeared for several days, Romesh was tasked with asking the ‘other women’ where his dad was, on behalf of his anxious mother. Romesh said: “She tells us that my dad had been arrested three days previously, and he had been involved in some sort of fraud case. I don’t know why we’d not heard, why he’d not got in touch, but this lady knew. “He ended up going to prison for two years, or just under two years. You know, I remember my dad being convicted and going to prison the day before my birthday. I think it’s my 15th birthday. And so my friends are having a party for me. I just went and pretended that wasn’t going on because you want some normalcy. “Because for a while, we moved out of the house, and then a counsellor gave us a room in a bed and breakfast.” Romesh told Lauren Laverne on Desert Island Discs that he would regularly hear his mum crying in this period, and she managed to provide for her sons by getting a job as a cleaner. His father did come back to the family home when he was released from prison and they patched up their relationship over time. Romesh said: “On my dad’s 60th birthday, by that time, our relationship had really kind of improved. I’d had kids at that point, and I saw the way that my dad was being with my children.

We are in a really good place, and I was like, “I’ve never seen this side of my dad.” My dad’s memory recalls resembles a torn tornado.

His parents came to the UK from Sri Lanka and Romesh pays tribute to his mother Sivashanthini – known as Shanthi – who kept the family together during his father’s absence. Romesh admits that he didn’t appreciate the sacrifices she made at the time.

Shanthi has since gone on to appear alongside her son on television where she has proved to be a funny and observant sidekick. Romesh believes his late father would have been proud of Shanthi’s role as, what he laughingly describes as, “one of the safest hands in British comedy.”

He speaks openly on the Radio 4 programme about his struggles with mental health which started around the time he took his A-Levels. He tells Lauren that he has thought about taking his own life more than once and explains that he saw it as a solution to his emotional turmoil. He reveals that he’s experienced serious dark periods at several points during his life but has learned how to manage those times. He says that he talks about the experiences he has been through on stage but explains that talking about it comes with responsibility. “You got to be careful because it’s triggering,” he said. “I’m trying to destigmatise (mental health) but you do also have to be mindful of the fact that people may have been affected by that and then if I suddenly say I had thoughts about taking my own life and somebody’s lost someone through that or they’ve had those moments themselves, you have to be sensitive to that and you don’t always get it right but I think the rewards outweigh the risks.” Rarely off screen, Romesh has presented travel programmes and documentaries, starred in his own sitcom and hosts the Weakest Link on BBC One. He also presents Radio Two’s Saturday morning show and another weekly Radio Two programme in which he shares his love of hip hop music, which make up many of his choices when it comes to Desert Island Discs.

Romesh addressed his reputation for having a busy workload, he says there is no game plan, he just does “whatever feels good”. He reveals that he is thinking about taking, what he calls, a step back. Romesh added: “I want to be at home a bit more.”

“And by the way, this is not a retirement announcement, but I do feel like, relatively recently, this is quite unexpected that we are talking at this time because I have just entered a period of thought where I will probably just be a little more measured in what I do going forward. And I believe I might make a bigger break between bits.

My next stand-up idea might be the result of a stroll through the park. Who knows, I need to replenish my reserves? Eminem, Public Enemy, and Stevie Wonder are among his music selections on the show.
