Dani Dyer has shared the adorable moment her proud dad, Danny, saw her in her wedding dress for the first time when she got married to Jarrod Bowen on Saturday. The Love Island star, 28, said she’d had the ‘best day of her life’ at the lavish nuptials in Buckinghamshire at which EastEnders star Danny, 47, played a very important role.

In a gorgeous montage of snaps of the big day shared on Instagram, Danny can be seen waiting in anticipation for his firstborn to reveal her stunning wedding dress as she prepared to become Mrs Bowen. As Dani turns round, sporting a beautiful off-the-shoulder white silk gown, with her hair tied into an elegant bun, Danny’s eyes fill with tears as he gives his daughter a huge hug.

Danny walked Dani, who has now changed her name to Dani Dyer-Bowen, down the aisle at the wedding at the five-star Langley Hotel while the Love Island star’s two-year-old twin daughters, Summer and Star, were flower girls. The Football Factory star also gave a speech during the reception, which was reportedly ‘toned down’ before the big day by Dani’s mum, Jo.

After the newlyweds said ‘I do’, Danny couldn’t resist injecting a bit of football banter into the proceedings. In videos shared on social media, he can be heard encouraging guests to sing ‘Bowen’s On Fire – and he’s married Dani Dyer’ to the tune of pop star Gala’s hit Freed from Desire, as guests could be seen waving white napkins in the air.

Speaking about how important it was for Danny to give Dani a wedding she’d ‘never forget’, a source told the Mirror: “Family is everything to Dani and Danny is the same way. He pulled out all of the stops to make sure it’s a wedding no one would forget for his little girl – the best day of her life.

He claims she is in love with her and that Dani’s success helped him because of Love Island. After going through so many ups and downs, Daniel feels like she has found her true love in Jarrod.

“He is loved by everyone else as well.” It was always going to be a wonderful celebration for the family because Jarrod and Danny get along so well, which was important to Dani.

Danny, a huge Hammers fan, also has a huge fan of his son-in-law, who plays for his adored West Ham football team. Danny told the Mirror about his daughter’s relationships, saying, “I have left the lying scum, and I hate them, to a man who I would not mind tonguing myself!”

A strong man, he said. I would put my lips on this geezer if he offered me a loan. He is a good man, as he is a father, and he took her on with a 14-month-old son, I’ll tell you.

He continued, “He is amazing. I’m eager to give her away. What a touch . But if he had already acted on me, I would probably fall in love with him.

Loose Women star hit by health issue as she says ‘I can’t do it’

Dame Kelly Holmes, the star of Loose Women and Atlete, admitted she “overdid it” and that she was forced to slow down due to a health issue.

Dame Kelly Holmes has revealed how she was forced to slow down this year after feeling extreme burnout amid her busy schedule.

The Olympian, 55, who is known for her impressive career as a middle distance runner, admitted to Mirror that a busy year last year left her unable to carry on. “I was travelling all over the world, often doing five or six speaking engagements a week, I had my big 20-year medal celebrations and visiting Machu Picchu for charity. But burnout is a big issue for me, by January I could feel something wasn’t right health wise,” she explained.

Kelly, who is now a regular on the Loose Women panel, continued, “I took it as a sign that, while last year was amazing, I overdid it, and I couldn’t do the same this year.

I’m not always motivated, and I can’t jump out of bed every day with energy. For instance, I don’t need to run the half-marathon if I’m not feeling it; instead, I’d rather be there in full spirit and energizing everyone else.

Kelly explained that she had enjoyed the slower pace of life by explaining that she had been able to examine every aspect of my current approach to dealing with issues, which is a real strength. I believe I’ve spent more time at home than I have in a long time over the past four or five months. I adore working with my alpacas in the garden.

However, Kelly says she still works out more than many people and still aims for 12 to 500 steps per day. She also regularly participates in parkruns and maintains her diet.

She said, “I try to move every day, and that might be taking an Uber to work or going to work,” because I’ll have my steps in and people can watch! To boost my self-esteem, I use it as a wellbeing tool. We might go paddleboarding, dog walk, or meet up with friends over the weekend.

Kelly is also the official ambassador for Solgar’s wellness partnership with The AJ Bell Great Run series this summer, which adds to her busy roster.

I’m a huge fan of motivating and inspiring people to stay in shape and move through their lives, especially as we age. Although fitness has always been a part of my life, I now fully understand the importance of looking at our overall well-being.

“I’ve been going to the runs, and it’s been the best.” She compared the partnership to people of all ages as they “get their moment when they cross the finish line.”

Kelly continued, “I’ve also witnessed a lot of young women taking part, in their mid- to late 20s, than I’d normally see.” That generation was so encouraging to see them believing in themselves and not being embarrassed or concerned about the outdated idea of what women “should” look like. Its body type has changed; strong, athletic bodies are no longer viewed as attractive.

Barbara Ferris dead: Coronation Street legend dies as tributes pour in

At the age of 85, the former model and Coronation Street actress passed away. In 1961, Barbara Ferris played a barmaid in Coronation Street, which led to a decades-long career.

After a brief stint on Coronation Street as Nona Willis, actress Barbara left the show after just 10 episodes, revealing that she found the Lancastrian accent to be too difficult to follow.

In the 1965 film Catch Us If You Can, she appears as Dinah, the love interest who vanishes with Dave Clark. Her final film work, The Krays, was a 1990 film that Peter Medak directed.

After leaving acting, Ferris moved to raise her children and take her husband on work trips abroad, settling into homes in London, Zurich, and Ireland.

Barbara passed away at the age of 85 (ExpressStar).

She was the youngest of two children, Dorothy and Roy Ferris, who were born in London. She performed in pantomimes and commercials to raise money for her family while she was a student at the Italia Conti stage school.

Fans have posted touching tributes and old photos online in her honor after learning of her passing. One person expressed shock at learning about Barbara Ferris. My childhood was shaped by her quiet grace on screen, which is a strong memory. Have a good time, Dinah.

Another phrase was repeated: “RIP to Barbara Ferris, who was unforgettable in The Krays.” That presence, that voice. Even if she only appeared briefly, we were fortunate to have her. Another reviewer claimed that Barbara was one of the kindest, kindest actors I’ve ever worked with. Every set we shared was lit up by her laughter. Being able to be close to her was a privilege.

Ferris is survived by her husband and their three children: Nicholas, Christopher, and Catherine
Her husband and their three children, Nicholas, Christopher, and Catherine (GRANADA TELEVISION), survive her.

On May 23, 2025, Ferris, who passed away, lived a life that was characterized by quiet celebrity status and personal devotion. Her younger sister, Liz, won gold in the 1960 Rome Olympics and won the same title as her younger sister in the sport.

Ferris wed film producer John Quested the same year. However, the newlyweds had little time to celebrate because Ferris’ imminent professional stage debut had cut short their honeymoon.

Her husband, Nicholas, Christopher, and Catherine, and their three children remain.

Jeremy Clarkson’s furious response as customer complains about £24 steak pie at his pub

Jeremy Clarkson, the host of Clarkson’s Farm, responded to a moaning customer who complained about the cost of his pub’s steak pie by saying, “Enjoy your chlorine.”

Jeremy Clarkson hit back at customers grumbling about the £24 price tag on his pub’s steak pie, cheekily retorting: “Enjoy your chlorine”. The star of Clarkson’s Farm, 65, has insisted on paying ‘premium’ prices for top-quality local beef for the pies served up at The Farmer’s Dog, the pub showcased in the Amazon series.

Clarkson suggested that those who were uneasy about the cost could opt for less expensive, chemically treated alternatives. After receiving criticism from a furious punter on social media, the sharp-tongued former Top Gear presenter blasted him and said, “Thought @JeremyClarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. A little exorbitant for pie and vegetables is $24.

Clarkson retorted, “Have you seen beef prices right now?” I’ll give you a job if you could get it for less. In response to the question, “Your cows aren’t they Jeremy,” “Some are,” Clarkson said. We pay a premium because the majority of the money is from other local farmers. Backing British farming is what we do. If that isn’t your thing, then fine. Enjoy your chlorine.

The recent series of Clarkson’s Farm documents Clarkson’s struggle against soaring expenses as he opens his pub near Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxon. One memorable episode saw him gagging from the foul odour while rehabilitating the pub’s old septic tank.

The Farmer’s Dog has received acclaim since its launch in August, despite Clarkson admitting he was ultimately losing £10 per patron at one point. For the price of £24, it currently lists “steak pie, mash, carrots, seasonal greens, and Hawkstone gravy.”

The website for the pub claims that “our menu only contains ingredients from British farms.” It will change depending on the season, but it will always be utterly delicious. Check out what appeals to you.

Some on X slammed the pie as “f****** extortionate” and said, “Tip, Dick, you wore a mask, at least.” Yet, many people rallied behind him, especially those who had already had a taste of the pie themselves, and even suggested that he should increase the price.

A fan took to Twitter, proclaiming: “Was the best £24 spent! Fantastic meal there, great food and all local produce – stop whinging!”.

Another enthusiast simply exclaimed: “Ah! But what pie”. And another chimed in: “Worth every penny.” A regular at Clarkson’s establishment declared: “Best pub in the world is not for you, stick to McDonalds.”

Patron Jason Rees also expressed his satisfaction with the food at @JeremyClarkson’s pub, saying, “We were so impressed with the food we rebooked, as soon as we could, repeat the experience. The quality was outstanding, he continued, “but it’s not cheap food.”

Corrie icon Vicky Entwistle, 56, famed for her role as Janice Battersby and her stint in Celebrity Big Brother, commented: “I think that price is reasonable…you want to visit my village pub up north the prices are through the roof.”

Another supporter commented: “I’m guessing it’s using unprocessed ingredients and fresh veg. There’s a saying you get what you pay for. You could have a Dacia Duster pie meal for £10 rr a Mercedes pie for £24.”

Another person addressed the complainant, saying, “You must be a total idiot!” After subtracting the cost of the fresh ingredients, the staff’s salary, national pension contributions, non-domestic rates, gas and electricity, and rent, you get £4. There won’t be much left. Price should be £30″.

Rod Stewart, 80, cancels gig hours before he’s due on stage after Glastonbury promise

Hours before he was scheduled to perform on stage, Sir Rod Stewart canceled tonight’s performance. The 80-year-old rocker had to cancel due to ill health, but he was scheduled to play tonight in Las Vegas.

Rod took to Instagram to express his regret on the fact that Rod’s show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being postponed until June 10th. Your tickets will still be valid until the new date. Sir Rod”.

Due to making a depressing health admission, Sir Rod was forced to reschedule a number of tour dates, including his milestone 200th Las Vegas residency show, last summer. Rod’s team expressed regret at the announcement that Rod would have to bow out because he is still recovering from a Covid-19 strain from the summer. After performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for 13 years, the singer was scheduled to bring his The Hits concert to a close. However, Sir Rod withdrew hours before what was scheduled to be his final performance at the venue, declaring that he was “desperately sorry”

Instagram message from Sir Rod Stewart to followers (sirrodstewart/Instagram)

He continued, “It’s obvious not me, but most people can work with strep throat.” I’m absolutely devastated. This concert has been a huge success for me. I feel the most sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. He vowed that we will be returning in 2025, and that he would like to see everyone there.

A strep infection can cause nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, and a sore throat, according to the NHS. It can often be treated with antibiotics and is not a serious illness.

The actor’s most recent health issue comes after he claimed in a brand-new interview that he couldn’t see himself retiring from performing. Additionally, Sir Rod has confirmed that Ronnie Wood and his former Faces bandmate will play a set at the Glastonbury Festival together.

The 1975, British pop/rock band The 1975, folk rock legend Neil Young, and US pop singer Olivia Rodrigo are the guests at the music event, which will feature the 80-year-old musician.

Following the split of Small Faces, Faces, who were known for hits like Stay With Me, formed in 1969.

Wood on guitar and Sir Rod on lead vocals joined by Bassist Ronnie Lane, Keyboardist Ian McLagan, and Kenney Jones.

When questioned about keeping in touch with The Rolling Stones’ members and “other people in music,” Sir Rod responded, “Not really. We’re going to do Glastonbury together, so Woody (Wood) I do a lot recently.

Elton has birthdays occasionally, you know, but not quite as often as we used to, probably because he and Woody no longer drink and I still do. They avoid me. Bad influence

He added, “I’ve done it (Glastonbury) before,” according to the podcast. Although I did it in 2002, this is now a legend’s event.

I was only supposed to play for an hour and a quarter, but I’ve asked for an additional fifteen because I spend more than two hours each night playing. But I’m looking forward to it.

Up until 1975, the band split up and Sir Rod embarked on a solo recording career. Faces then released four studio albums and made regular road trips.

Five of his children presented the veteran rockstar with a prestigious lifetime achievement award earlier this week at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, Every Beat Of My Heart, and Maggie May are some of his best-known solo songs.

He stated in 2024 that he would not retire, but that his 2025 European and North American shows would end his “large-scale world tours,” with his subsequent events taking place in more intimate settings.

His most recent album, a collaboration with Jools Holland, reached the top of the UK chart in February 2024.
