Monty Don returns to stage for first time after suffering mystery health scare

Monty Don has since had to cancel six shows for the first time since his mysterious health scare.
The Gardeners’ World star, 69, was hospitalized for several days and declared to his fans that he was “on drips and the rest of it.” He didn’t explain the hospital dash, but earlier this week he confirmed he had been discharged and feeling better.
The horticulturist and presenter confirmed that he was back on the road as part of his An Audience With Monty Don tour over the weekend. He shared the news with his followers on social media, posting photos of him standing in line at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich and the Cambridge Corn Exchange.

I’m back on the road and at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich, he captioned the photo from his dressing room. Although the theater is great and it will be a good evening, dressing rooms generally have the charm of a polling booth.
Sharing two photos of the live music venue in Cambridge, he added: “Tonight it’s Cambridge Corn Exchange- last time I was here was in 1977 to watch wrestling..”. In his dressing room, one of the images featured fruit, water, and tea.
Fans urged Monty to relax and enjoy himself after his health scare in the comment section. One wrote: “Please Monty, really take care of yourself! We all appreciate you greatly, but please don’t let your disregard for other people harm you.

A fan said: “Your health is more important than touring, although we love to see you. Take it easy, xxx. Someone else added: “Loved your evening@Ipswich last night. Hope you felt the very warm welcome, we certainly appreciated your visit”! One more commented: “We all hope you are not overdoing it. Enjoy”!
Moments after Monty said he was “feeling better,” it comes. He posted a photo of frost covering his Herefordshire garden and simply wrote: “Morning #gettingbetter”. Fans elicited well-wishes from fans throughout the stadium as they urged him to continue resting. In a video posted on Wednesday, he apologised to fans for having to cancel his upcoming talks in Exeter, Truro, Bath and Nottingham.
Monty told his 1.3 million followers: “Hello. I regret so much for the many people who planned to see me in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham. On Friday afternoon, I was rushed to A&, E. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and had to have drips and all the rest of it. But I came home last night, and I’m feeling much better. I’ll be spending the next few days relaxing at home, and hopefully by weekend I’ll be back in top shape.
