Elton John Unable To Watch Own Musical Due To ‘Lost Eyesight’

Due to a severe eye infection that he contracted over the summer that had affected his vision, Elton John has revealed he was unable to watch his new musical “The Devil Wears Prada.”

“I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight”, the 77-year-old singer told the audience late Sunday at a London charity gala performance of the musical, for which he wrote the score.

“So it’s hard for me to see it, but I love to hear it and, boy, it sounded good tonight”, he said.

The “Rocket Man” actor claimed that an infection had left him with “only limited vision in one eye” on Instagram in September.

He continued, “I am healing, but it will take some time before the impacted eye can see again,” he continued.

He claimed last month to ABC News in the US that his right eye had lost vision and that “my left eye is not the greatest” as a result.

John wrapped up his glittering live career by playing his final performance at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK and his final performance in Sweden in 2022 and 2023 on a global farewell tour.

In the 2006 film’s stage adaptation, US singer Vanessa Williams portrays feared fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly.

“I said I wanted to be a part of it because I could create the role and that means that you’re informing the script, the music, the choreography, all the action”, she told the media on Thursday.

Other stars in attendance Sunday included fashion heavyweights&nbsp, Anna Wintour and Donatella Versace.

If you were to believe Charlotte Tilbury’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales couldn’t possibly get any better, we have some good news for you: the company just introduced its renowned Mystery Boxes with a massive 50% discount, giving you the opportunity to purchase either four or seven of its exquisite items for the same price.

This is a popular deal year-round. While The Beauty Trinkets Mystery Boxes, £55, come filled with make-up looks that are centred around two shades, pink and peach, the stocking seems to have a mixture.

As for the stocking, fans of Charlotte Tilbury will receive seven mystery products for the skin, eyes, lips and cheeks. A luxurious filled stocking and a Beauty Trinket box both have 50% off (Charlotte Tilbury) and have been released as part of Charlotte Tilbury’s Mystery bundles.

These items have received praise from those who have purchased them in the past for being both the “perfect Christmas gift” and being “full of must-haves.”

The offers don’t just include one box or one stocking either; instead, you can purchase a Mystery Box Duo for £156 (was £313) or the Pink or Peach Beauty Trinkets Mystery Box Duo for £110 instead of £220.

The only drawback to these Mystery Bundles is that you don’t know what will be inside, which could result in an unwelcome product. Although many Charlotte Tilbury products cost more than £50 on their own, it’s a significant saving if you’re just testing out a few items before purchasing them as gifts.

Meanwhile, Charlotte’s Black Friday reductions are still ongoing with up to 40% on selected sets, like this 3 Steps to Beautiful Lips set now £42 from £70, and individual items, so you can stock up on your favourite creams, bronzers, beauty wands and more whilst saving money.

This Cult Beauty Buyers’ Edit has also been reduced by 25%, resulting in savings of £29.25 versus £39. Over on LookFantastic, you can grab the Black Friday edit for £28 instead of £40, snagging some Sol de Janeiro perfume, a hydrating face mask and more.

MasterChef stars Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti’s remarks about Gregg Wallace resurface

Gregg Wallace’s colleagues from “MasterChef: The Professionals” have resurfaced this week after receiving accusations of inappropriate sexual comments. &nbsp,

Gregg, 60, announced last week that he would leave his position on MasterChef while Banijay UK reviews alleged historical misconduct complaints. His lawyers claimed that it was “completely false” that he engaged in sexual harassment, and Gregg, who has been accused of making “jokes of a sexualized nature,” has since spoken out himself.

Following the news, comments made last year by his MasterChef: the Professionals co-stars Monica Galetti, 49, and Marcus Wareing, 54, have resurfaced. After serving as a judge from 2009 to 2021, Marcus has been a member of the BBC show since 2014.

As reported by OK! During her return to the BBC show last year, Monica teased Marcus for turning gray since her departure, saying: “But I think we all get that for a year working with Gregg. It added that she also said ahead of last year’s series airing: “I was missing Gregg’s jokes until the first day of filming. We repeatedly hear the punchlines because Marcus and I never understand them.

Marcus reportedly suggested that the show’s decisions could occasionally be influenced by disagreements. He’s quoted as having said at the time: “If it was just me and Monica, then we’re good at predicting the winner, but because Gregg is in the mix, it f***s it all up a bit. Everyone has a right to their point of view, but there are times when we do disagree. There are three votes and in the early days I’d be fighting like a cat in a bag but now it’s like, ‘ Whatever'”.

Gregg announced on Thursday that he would step down from his position as host of MasterChef while 13 people’s allegations that he made inappropriate sexual comments are being looked into are now back. People allegedly made the allegations while producing various shows over the course of a 17-year period.

Production company Banijay UK stated in a statement that the BBC received complaints from people regarding past allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows. Although these complainants have not directly contacted our network’s producers or parent company Banijay UK, we believe it is appropriate to conduct an independent, thorough investigation right away.

Gregg Wallace will step down from his position on MasterChef while this review is being conducted, and he will work closely with him throughout the entire process. On all productions, Banijay UK’s duty to its staff is always a top priority, and we always make our expectations clear to both the cast and the crew, with various ways to raise concerns, including being clearly promoted on set, including by phone.

We take any concerns that are raised with us seriously and have effective procedures in place to handle them, according to a BBC spokesperson. We are always making it clear that any behavior that does not meet the standards set by the BBC will be tolerated. When an individual is hired by an external production company directly, we share any grievances or concerns with that organization and will always assist them in their communication.

Whilst Gregg said in a video shared on social media over the weekend:” I have been doing MasterChef for 20 years – amateur, celebrity and professional MasterChef – and I think in that time I have worked with over 4, 000 contestants of all different ages, all different backgrounds]and] all walks of life. And as I’m reading in the paper, it turns out that there have been 13 complaints in that time. A few middle-class women of a certain age are complaining, according to the newspaper, just from Celebrity Masterchef. This isn’t right. “

He continued:” In over 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants, on MasterChef have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo. Can you imagine? “

Jamie Oliver spills secrets on perfect roast potatoes and Christmas cooking on a budget

Jamie Oliver’s Christmas cooking advice has come out for a new feast.

The celebrity chef, 49, has been hosting his yuletide recipes for years, and this year he’s back in the kitchen for the first two episodes of Jamie Cooks Christmas on Channel 4 that air on Sunday December 8.

Speaking ahead of the programme, the dad-of-five shared his advice on how to host the perfect Christmas, including knocking up resplendent roast potatoes – as well as how to cope on a budget.

Roast potatoes are, arguably, the star of any Christmas meal, but getting them cartoon-crisp is no easy feat. Jamie shared his advice on how to get them exactly right, explaining that he is constantly looking for the “perfect potato.” He defended squashing the spud, saying, “I’m always looking for ways to make my roasties just that little bit better every year.” When potatoes have been in the oven for an hour or so, I like to gently half-squash them because it changes how crispy they turn.

He added: “This year, I’m going to parboil my spuds in chicken stock – it makes them taste even better. I’d really recommend it. Plus, you can use that lovely starchy stock to make your gravy – win-win”, reports the Press Association.

Christmas can be difficult for some parents, especially when there are lots of kids to feed, despite being the most magical time of year for children. Jamie advises purchasing seasonal British fruit and vegetables in order to increase your income in December.

He explained: “Buy British fruit and veg that’s in season. I’d highly advise checking around to see what you can find since they haven’t had to travel across continents to visit the store or market. You can use pork belly without sacrificing the quality of pork loin for my festive porchetta, which will produce the same delicious results.

He also suggested another use for the perennial cheeseboard, adding: “I’m also a big fan of using up my cheeseboard in lasagnes, pastas, sandwiches and toasties, and not wasting a thing – my cheesy cauliflower lasagne is big enough to feed a crowd, with layers of lovely veg, silky pasta, bubbling cheesy white sauce and bombs of blue cheese”.

Jamie also dished out advice on making the “best-ever” Brussels. The chef claims they can be delicious even though the divisive veggie won’t be on every country’s Christmas table.

Jamie urges all home cooks to “accept the unassuming sprout” by adding “insanely delicious” ingredients like tangy sausages, sweet apples, tangy onions, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce to give them an “irresistible flavor.”

Gregg Wallace warned online outburst could be ‘career ending’ as he ‘goes rogue’

After MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace hit back at allegations made against him, he has been accused of “going rogue” with his response.

As he attempted to defend himself against a number of allegations of sexual misconduct, the 60-year-old grocer turned broadcaster posted a number of responses on social media yesterday. In one upload, he said: “Can you imagine how many women on MasterChef, female contestants, have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo”?

However, online critics of his apparent attempt to dissipate the situation expressed anger over his response. And now, it’s claimed he may have “gone rogue” when it comes to his reaction.

In his Instagram upload, Wallace said: ‘ I’ve been doing MasterChef for 20 years, amateur, celebrity and professional MasterChef, and I think, in that time, I have worked with over 4, 000 contestants of all different ages, all different backgrounds, all walks of life. Apparently now, I’m reading in the paper, there’s been 13 complaints in that time.

“I can see the complaints coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age, just from Celebrity MasterChef. This isn’t right”

However, Mark Borkowski, a PR and crisis management expert, claimed that with his outburst, it was almost certain that the star had avoided his PR team’s guidance. “The first law of PR in a crisis is never let your emotions rule your Instagram”, Borkowski told the publication.

The seismic shift in workplace norms, he continued, “seems to have catastrophically miscalculated.” “Studios, like most workplaces today, are hypersensitive ecosystems. The best talent is expected to lead with grace, serving as an example for both the on-screen crew and their colleagues. Bawdy “humour and inappropriate antics, once passed off as harmless personality quirks, now read as tone-deaf at best and career-ending at worst”

Borkowski asserted that Wallace only appears to be giving his team’s counsel and not his own. He claimed that his career might end with such an outburst.

Sir Rod Stewart, who called Wallace “humiliating his wife,” is one of the critics who have attacked him. Additionally, according to Kirsty Wark, a host of Newsnight on Thursday, Wallace twice made sexualized comments while filming Celebrity MasterChef. She added that the contestants’ crew and other guests were present. Speaking to BBC News, Kirsty said Wallace’s alleged remarks were “really, really in the wrong place”.

Other allegations include requesting the phone numbers of female production staff members, undressing, and standing “too close” to female employees on his shows.

Wallace has resigned from his MasterChef position while an investigation into the allegations is being conducted. According to a statement from the show’s production company, Banijay UK, he is “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process.”

Wallace’s lawyers, meanwhile, have said “it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature”.
