Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson has sparked concern over his marriage after appearing to ditch his wedding ring. The actor, 50, who plays Steve McDonald on the ITV soap, has been married to wife Emma for 14 years.

Simon fuelled split rumours earlier this year when a tax report regarding his finances said the star and his “estranged” wife, had three years to pay back debt from their production company’s account. And he’s now got tongues wagging again after appearing without his wedding band while out running errands after Emma was spotted without hers last month.

The star’s alleged relationship with his ex-wife was revealed in official documents after his fans expressed concern about her.

The Mirror previously reported the Steve McDonald star could be forced to sell his house if he does not pay back a £252,000 loan he took from his production firm, with official papers showing the soap legend and Emma must repay Simon Gregson Productions a sum of £1,500 per month. The paperwork states the pair, who have been married for 14 years and have three sons, had separated. However, Coronation Street confirmed last week that the couple was still together.

The director’s report stated that she had an overdraft of £282,824 on her loan account. Additionally, it was discovered that this money had been moved into Mr. Gregory’s joint bank account with his estranged wife after being taken out of the company’s bank account. Any dispute would therefore be directed at both parties.

However, a source told The Sun that the actor’s marriage was still intact, stating that “Simon and Emma are still very much together.”

“Simon has no idea why Emma is listed in his financial paperwork as his “estranged wife.”

Simon has frequently praised his wife Emma, who owns a tea room in Cheshire, for supporting him while managing his demanding filming schedule.

The couple revealed their relationship to one of his soap star coworkers last year. Emma continued, “I used to go to Bev’s pub with my brother Michael and she was running a singing competition called Eccles Factor,” adding, “We met 18 years ago in the pub in Eccles owned at the time by Beverley Callard.

Because he likes you and is single, Bev asked if I liked him. When Simon and Emma ran into each other at a charity event a few weeks later, they have been dating ever since.

The Great British Bake Off host, 50, is now one of the most in-demand stars on the box and became the new face of For the Love of Dogs following the death of Paul O’Grady. She currently presents ITV’s This Morning on a Friday with co-host Dermot O’Leary and is also a team captain on Rob Beckett’s Smart TV for Sky. Earlier this year her new travel series: Florida Unpacked, went out on BBC Two. It saw her travel the US state with son Aidan.

For years Alison worked as a tour rep following in the footsteps of her mother, who was a hard-working, no-nonsense travel agent. She says she owes her success down to “being unapologetically me” and her mother. Asked about her biggest influence, she said: “Without a doubt, my mum. She taught me to laugh loud, love big and always be myself. And look where that’s got me – This Morning, Bake Off, three books, working with Maybelline…”

Alison also had a dream in Hollywood. “I’d be there in a flash if I ever received the call to join her (Dua Lipa) on stage for Physical.”

Alison says there needs to be much more done to increase representation in the sector, despite the opportunities that are opening up for her. She urged more diversity in television by calling for more voices, stories, and actors from various backgrounds to shine. Although there is still work to be done, the industry is awakening.

Alison earned a huge sum last year, making around £35,000 per week after landing a series of lucrative deals. Host Alison also has money spinning jobs like being the voice of Wren Kitchens which bring in thousands of pounds. The host also has a deal with online firm Very.

After the TV showman reportedly booked him for a £150 massage, the mother-of-one has been dating David Putnam, 27. Before even meeting model David, artist Art began imitating life after writing in her book Bombshell about a woman dating a 27-year-old. She and Noureddine Boufaied, the mother of Aidan, 19, were married before splitting up, but they never reconciled.

The jobs just keep rolling in for Alison, as she’s reportedly being lined up to host the reboot of cult BBC series Hole In The Wall. The original show, which aired from 2008 to 2009, featured celebrities trying to fit through moving wall cut-outs to avoid being pushed into a pool of water. It was previously hosted by Dale Winton, with Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke later taking over. The BBC is yet to announce an official air date for the Hole In The Wall reboot, but if the pilot proves successful, it’s expected to make a comeback later this year.

Young Chinese Women Find Virtual Love In ‘Deepspace’

Rafayel’s girlfriends organized a spectacular drone show, decorated high-speed trains with his photos, and rented malls across China for parties to celebrate their lover’s birthday.

The birthday boy, who is a virtual character in the romantic mobile game “Love and Deepspace,” which has attracted millions of young women from China and beyond, was not present at every event.

The game, which was released last year, combines monster-hunting action and occasionally raunchy cutscenes in a futuristic world where “Love knows no bounds,” according to Shanghai-based developer Papergames.

And its realistic 3D character modeling, immersive narratives, and chance to interact with five distinct virtual boyfriends captivate players.

The game has received more than $500 million worldwide on the Google Play store and Apple’s App Store since its January 2024 release.

Market research firm Sensor Tower reported to AFP that about 40% of its revenue comes from abroad.

These virtual companions provide emotional fulfillment for many more than just entertainment.

This photo taken on March 13, 2025 shows student Liu Yuxuan reading a text book with “Rafayel”, a virtual character in the romantic mobile game “Love and Deepspace”, displayed on her mobile phone at a university classroom in Beijing. Launched last year, the game blends monster-hunting action with sometimes-raunchy cutscenes in a futuristic world where Shanghai-based Papergames developer says “love knows no bounds”. A 25-year-old office worker named Liu Xue likes to think that Rafayel and her relationship to real people are romantically involved.

At a birthday party in Beijing, she told AFP, “I would say to myself or to my inner circle of close friends that we are lovers.”

In reality, I don’t believe I need company.

He regularly visits Liu, comforts her when she’s down, and even updates her on her menstrual cycle.

She said, “It’s like emotional sustenance.”

However, this attachment has a price.

Players frequently spend a lot of money on in-game purchases to unlock additional storylines and interactions with their favorite characters, despite the fact that “Love and Deepspace” is free to download.

There are similar games with similar themes, but few have the same reach and popularity. The game does not offer women partners.

According to third-party surveys, between five and ten percent of “Love and Deepspace” players are male.

Better than reality, in my opinion.

Wang Yaya, a 23-year-old university student, has spent more than 70 000 yuan ($10,000) on the game and related merchandise.

She told AFP, “I’m happy I paid for the emotional value.”

Fans use their money to fund activities like those to commemorate Rafayel’s birthday, where they pose for photos with cardboard replicas of the heartthrob and exchange handmade goods.

Wang, a seven-year veteran of console games like “Love and Deepspace,” attributes the lack of emotional support from their parents as children to her and her peers’ willingness to spend.

She continued, “Many of my friends are the same.”

And some players find virtual romances to be much more appealing than actual dating.

Liu claims she has lost interest in dating real men after discovering “Love and Deepspace.”

She referred to the wider genre of romantic games, which was created in Japan, as “playing otome games is especially nice and even better than real life.”

Liu Yuxuan, 22, sees her life’s connection with Rafayel in particular as a major priority.

“Because everyone has secrets, some of which you can’t share with others.” You can talk to him when you start the game, she said.

She said, “I can show him my love without any reservations,” and he will do the same for me.

Rafayel claims that this kind of devotion can only be found in the real world.

Another player, who uses the name Zaylia, summarise the appeal of the game for her fellow players, saying, “It fulfills our fantasy of being in a relationship.”

Actor Depardieu Tells France Sex Abuse Trial He Doesn’t ‘Grope’ Women

Gerard Depardieu, a star of France and facing sexual assault charges, testified before a court in Paris on Tuesday that he had no habit of “groping” women.

“I don’t understand why I would grope a woman, her buttocks, and breasts all at once. In his first statement at the trial, where he is accused of sexual assault on two women while filming a movie in 2021, he said, “I’m not someone who rubs himself against others on the metro.”

Depardieu responded to the accusations that he was “not like that,” adding that “there are vices that are alien to me.”

Depardieu, 76, who has appeared in more than 200 movies and television shows, is the first woman to go on trial for allegedly abusing another 20 women.

Read more about the police’s investigation into an Osun communal collision with three suspects.

He is the most well-known actor to be accused of being a part of French cinema’s response to the #MeToo movement.

The jury is charged with sexual assault in connection with Jean Becker’s film “Les Volets Verts” (“The Green Shutters”)’ 2021 filming.

A 54-year-old set dresser and a 34-year-old assistant director, Anouk Grinberg, a well-known actor who appeared in the movie, have supported the two plaintiffs. Both women make allegations of sexual abuse.

Depardieu was repeatedly accused of making “salacious remarks” while filming, according to Grinberg, who claimed producers knew they were “hiring an abuser.”

Due to the actor’s poor health, the trial was originally scheduled to take place in October 2024.

His attorney claimed then that Depardieu had diabetes and had undergone a heart bypass procedure, which the stress of the upcoming trial had made them more anxious.

The 54-year-old set dresser Amelie, one of Depardieu’s two accusers, reported in February of last year that she had experienced sexual assault, harassment, and sexist insults while filming in September 2021.

She claimed Depardieu boasted to be able to “give women an orgasm without touching them” on French investigative website Mediapart and that he “brutally grabbed” her an hour later.

The actor pinned her by “closing his legs” around her, before groping her, going up to her breasts, and then closing his legs.

Depardieu, according to her, made “obscene remarks.”
