Singer-songwriter Perrie Edwards has revealed the impact that a mental health condition had on her life last year. The Little Mix member has recalled in a new interview that she “could barely leave” her home towards the end of 2024.

Perrie, 32, who was name as an ambassador for the mental health charity Mind earlier this year, has been raising awareness around conditions like agoraphobia. The BRIT Award winner has also previously spoken about her experience with anxiety and panic attacks.

She’s now shared an update in an interview released this week. Perrie revealed that she has a tendency to “catastrophise” situation and struggled to leave the home she shares with her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their son last year.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Perrie said that she’s “in her element” on stage, describing herself as “empowered”. She added: “But as soon as I’m back home behind closed doors, that’s when the anxiety kicks in and I’m just me again.”

She told the outlet that she can’t help but “catastrophise” over “everyday things,” such as getting into her car and driving to London. She said: “At the end of last year my agoraphobia got so bad I could barely leave the house.”

Agoraphobia is “a fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult or where help wouldn’t be available if things go wrong,” according to the NHS. It further states that the condition can lead to symptoms of a panic attack, and the NHS adds that it can itself develop from panic disorder.

Perrie has previously shared that she has developed panic disorder. Speaking on Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend in an episode released in May, she said: “I’ve developed panic disorder, so it’s the fear of having a panic attack.”

She told Alison Hammond that she developed it after she started suffering from “severe” panic attacks a few years ago. She shared: “I then developed like a fear of having one again. So I was like, if I’m on my own and I have a panic attack, I might die, and nobody will be here to help.”

Alison Hammond, in a black top, cream waistcoat and matching trousers, stood beside Perrie Edwards, in a white top and black trousers, outside a house.
It comes after Perrie previously discussed her mental health with Alison Hammond on the BBC show Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend(Image: BBC Studios)

Providing an insight into the impact that has on her life, she went on to say: “So that’s why I’m never on my own.” Asked if she’s ever at home alone, she said: “No, never. Never! I’m always with somebody. Because I just … I don’t like the feeling of feeling like I’m gonna die.”

Perrie told Alison later in the episode that she had her first panic attack after having an over-the-counter caffeine shot during a trip to Las Vegas with her bandmates some years ago. Perrie said on the BBC show: “I honestly thought I was having a heart attack from whatever was in [it].”

She recalled “pacing” around her room at the time and having panic attacks before ending up in hospital. Perrie, who suggested that the experience had been a “trigger” and led to her anxiety going “through the roof,” added: “After that incident, I just kept having them like again and again.”

Perrie has since revealed that she’s sought support from therapists to help her deal with panic attacks. Speaking to Metro in an interview published in June, she shared that she’s “trying to be at peace” with her anxiety and its physical symptoms, instead of fearing potential panic attacks.

She told the outlet that she has “tried everything,” adding that she has tried “all different kinds” of therapy. Perrie said that, despite having previously been given strategies to use, “everything goes out the window” in the moment.

Perrie shared: “Last year, maybe in September, I started to take my therapist to work with me, which I know is a very privileged situation.” She said that they were able to coach her through any panic attack “there and then,” with her saying in the interview: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Romeo Beckham soaks up the sun with sister Harper as Brooklyn feud worsens

Former footballer and model Romeo Beckham has made sure to spend time with his family as he chilled out with sister Harper on their summer holiday while Brooklyn stays away

Romeo Beckham has shared more holiday snaps with his family(Image: INSTAGRAM)

Romeo Beckham has been lapping it up on his summer holiday as he continues to surround himself with family amid the ongoing Brooklyn fallout. The former footballer, 22, shared snaps from his parents’ £16million yacht as they sailed into St Tropez.

He joined David and Victoria as well as sister Harper, 14, and brother Cruz, 20, for the luxury trip. They have remained tight knit following the breakdown of Brooklyn’s relationship with the famous family.

Brooklyn has not been seen with his family in months following a series of painful snubs over the past year. It comes after David Beckham speaks ‘as a father’ in ‘family’ announcement after latest Brooklyn snub.

While the eldest Beckham child stays away, Romeo shared snaps of the family trip abroad. He stripped down to his swim trunks as he stood on the end of the yacht with his hands in the air, while his sister Harper sipped on a bottle of water.

Romeo also hopped into the driving seat as he beamed while in control of the vessel as they approached a stunning port. The Beckhams were in St Tropez just days after Brooklyn had arrived with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

They had enjoyed a summer holiday on her billionaire dad’s rented yacht after they skipped David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May. Brooklyn went on to issue a series of snubs when it came to Father’s Day and David’s long awaited knighthood achievement.

He sailed into Saint-Tropez on an £85million, 80 metre yacht called Project X as he lapped up the luxury getaway. It had been rented by Nicola’s parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz, andit set them back a staggering £1.2million a week.

Brooklyn avoided a run-in with his parents as they arrived in the same French dock just two days later, which he reportedly was unaware of. He appeared keen to share snaps of his own trip as he drank a bottle of beer next to Nelson.

One moment showed Brooklyn leaning towards Nelson, who had his arm around his son-in-law, whilst another showed the in-laws embracing in a hug by a table.

However, things took another turn this month when Brooklyn and Nicola decided to renew their vows without his family. The couple reaffirmed their love at a lavish bash held at her family’s country estate near New York.

Nicola wore her mother, Claudia’s, 1985 vintage wedding dress, while her billionaire father, Nelson, officiated at the ceremony. “Victoria’s heart is breaking behind closed doors,” a source told us.

“Brooklyn is her firstborn and she’s worried she’s never going to get him back. Seeing him and Nicola renew their vows without her and David was tough.

“They have missed out on some big family moments already, and Victoria is afraid that the longer this goes on, the less chance there is of it being resolved. Victoria has been posting smiley pictures on Instagram and it looks like they were having a great holiday, but that doesn’t mean Brooklyn isn’t on her mind.”

While sources have claimed Brooklyn is “heartbroken” over the way Nicola is being betrayed. A source said: “It’s so rooted in misogyny that all of the heat for his parents not being invited is on Nicola.

“Everyone seems to forget that Brooklyn is an adult man and fully capable of speaking out. Nicola would have respected all that he chose. It breaks Brooklyn’s heart to see his wife being painted as this vixen and viper.”

Oasis’ Croke Park concert LIVE: Noel and Liam Gallagher burst onto stage

Oasis are just an hour away from their first Irish gig in 16 years. Noel and Liam Gallagher are tonight headlining Dublin’s Croke Park, joined by Cast and Richard Ashcroft.

The once warning brothers will perform at the national stadium tonight, with a second concert tomorrow – playing their biggest hits to around 164,000 die-hard fans. But Dublin also holds a special place in the Gallagher’s hearts.

The Mancunian brothers have spoken about their ties to Ireland through their Irish-born parents, Peggy and Thomas. Dublin is the fifth stop on the mammoth Oasis Live’25 tour, having already performed in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh. After tomorrow’s show, they’ll have a short break before heading over to Canada to complete the rest of the world leg of the tour.

But before taking to the stage, Noel had hoped to have a quiet drink in the city; however, he was mobbed by fans, but made time to chat to them and sign memorabilia. The concert comes just days after a fan who had travelled from Italy to see the band perform in Edinburgh sadly died just hours before the concert.

C’mon – it’s time!

Richard Ashcroft finishes his set

Richard has completed his set, meaning that Oasis are just minutes away from taking to the stage!

Peter Crouch joins the crowd!

Former footballer Peter Crouch is attending the concert tonight. The ex-England striker posed for a picture with Jack Schiavo, who plays alongside Liam’s son, Gene, in the band Villanelle. Sharing the snap on Instagram, Jack wrote: “Humbled,” while tagging Peter.

Earlier today, Crouchy made a very mad dash after covering Aston Villa v Newcastle. As the commentating was wrapping up, he could be seen moving from the TNT desk at Villa Park. Lynsey Hipgrave said: “That’s about all we’ve got time for, oh actually sorry my producer is just telling me we have got a lot more time, he said we can carry on talking.”

Peter replied: “Lynsey, you know I’m going to Oasis tonight, it’s not happening.” Lynsey added: “Where are you going?” Before Peter explained that he had a flight to catch.

Drink prices inside Croke Park

If you’re fancying a drink at the concerts, fear not, we have the prices!

For those wanting to sip on Guinness, it will set you back €7.35. Meanwhile, a pint of Rockshore will be €8. But if something a bit fruiter is your type of thing, a cider will also cost €8 a pint.

Where to get a post-gig pint?

Dublin is filled with plenty of pubs and bars to enjoy a post-gig drink – but where’s the nearest?

The streets of the Irish capital are to be flooded with fans for hours after the concerts, but luckily, there are a few places to visit if you’re looking to carry on the night.

Our sister paper, the Irish Mirror, has rounded up the best venues:

Peggy Gallagher sold home in Ireland just after reunion news

Liam and Noel’s beloved mum, Peggy, sold her home in Charlestown, Co Mayo, just after her two sons announced they had put their feud behind them and reunited.

What time are Oasis on stage?

Noel, Liam, Bonehead, Andy Bell and Gem Archer are due on stage in less than an hour.

They are scheduled to walk out at 8:15, to F***in’ in the Bushes before belting out Hello. Their set is set to last for two hours, and each night on previous dates, they have finished on time.

Noel mobbed by fans

Noel had hoped for a quiet drink at Brady’s Clockhouse in Maynooth but was left surrounded by fans.

He didn’t seem fazed, though, as the Britpop icon posed for photos with fans and signed autographs. An Oasis fan who bumped into Noel in the pub described him as “bang on” and “like a normal lad”.

Ryan King managed to meet Noel before he returned to his hotel – and even secured an autograph on his bucket hat. Speaking to the Irish Mirror, he revealed: “The security told us to leave him but he said ‘Come on’ and he signed a T-shirt, a hat and a few vinyls for the lads.

Fans issued warning

Fans attending the concerts have been issued a warning by officials.

Oasis fans pour into streets of Dublin ahead of historic Croke Park concert

Continuing their much-awaited reunion tour, Oasis hit Dublin on Saturday and Sunday night where 80,000 fans will pile into the city’s Croke Park stadium to see the 90s icons in action

Dublin ‘buzzing’ as Oasis return to Ireland for the first time in 16 years(Image: AFP via Getty Images)

Dublin City is “buzzing” as Oasis return to Ireland for the first time in 16 years. Tens of thousands of the band’s fans have descended on the Irish capital for the first of their two sold-out gigs at the country’s largest stadium.

Croke Park will host the Britpop icons this weekend, where they will perform for 80,000 music fans over the weekend. Just in time for the country’s heatwave, revellers will bask in the sun, soundtracked by the 90s stars for the Irish leg of their reunion tour.

Although they need no encouragement, concert-goers have been advised by health officials to wear their bucket hats to protect them from the sun. High UV levels are expected as Dublin enjoys warm and dry weather on Saturday and Sunday. It comes after Paul Weller reveals the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts.

Marking the band’s first gig in the country since 2009, the Dublin gigs will hold a special meaning for once-feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. The Mancunian brothers have spoken about their ties to Ireland through their Irish-born parents, Peggy and Thomas.

Sarah and Neil Charlton travelled from Southampton to see the band, after a determined search for standing tickets saw them clinching access in Dublin. Mr Charlton said they have both been waiting a long time to see the band reunite – having seen Oasis multiple times before their extended hiatus.

He told the PA news agency: “We thought: what a great city to come to and see the gig and have a couple of nights out in Dublin.” He added: “It’s just so nostalgic – all the songs and all the music from when we were growing up. When we first started seeing each other, we went to a gig and so it’s always been a part of our lives together.”

Oasis were also a huge part of Lisa and Alan Roe’s love story too, who said their love of the band dates back to when they got married in the 1990s. Mr Roe said: “Because the two of them are after getting back together after so many years, to be able to sell out a world tour the way they did – and their music going back to the late 80s and 90s.

“That brings an aura about in everybody and a buzz and the memories of growing up in Dublin with them – it’s absolutely out of this world.”

Sinead Millea from Kilkenny is also making her way to Croke Park for the gig, having previously seen the band in Limerick in 1996. She said: “Maybe we’re all going through a bit of a midlife crisis – I turned 50 this year, and look, Noel and Liam, they’re in their 50s as well.

“And maybe things just dawned on them that life is too short and just, let’s put grievances to bed. They seem to be getting on great, and it’s fabulous.

“And at the end of the day, music transcends everything, and we’re all here to enjoy a brilliant night and to share it with the people that mean the most. It’s just amazing. The weather is fabulous and it’s a brilliant venue.”

The support acts for the Dublin dates are Richard Ashcroft from The Verve and Cast, formed by John Power after he left The La’s. The setlist has crowd-pleasing hits such as Cigarettes And Alcohol and Wonderwall.

Fans have also been treated to favourites including Acquiesce, Some Might Say and Morning Glory – before a Don’t Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova crescendo. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August last year, 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009, when Noel quit after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

The highly anticipated 41-date run has already seen the band play Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh. They will then take the tour global, playing in major cities across the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Japan.

Motsi Mabuse speaks out on tense legal battle with ex-husband after abuse claims

Strictly Come Dancing star Motsi Mabuse has revealed her legal battle with her ex husband Timo Kulczak has finally come to an end, years after she made claims in her book

Strictly’s Motsi Mabuse has revealed her court case has ended(Image: Getty Images)

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has revealed legal proceedings against her have come to an end after almost three years. Her ex husband Timo Kulczak launched legal action against the professional dancer in 2023.

He sued her for £70,000 after she called him ‘controlling’ and made a series of damning allegations in her autobiography. The case went to court as Kulczak denied the claims made against him.

Today, Motsi posted about a court case as she marked the end of the chapter in her life. It comes after Andy Carroll ‘splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands’ weeks after public row.

The TV star wrote: “After almost three years, the legal proceedings against me have now come to an end, with the court ruling in my favour. This case has been a long and challenging process, accompanied by media coverage and many articles over the years.

“It has been a constant burden, and I am relieved that clarity has finally been achieved. Now I can close this chapter and focus on the future with renewed strength.”

She also thanked her husband, Evgenij Voznyuk, legal team and management. Motsi and Kulczak, who married in 2003, divorced in 2014 after meeting at a dance tournament.

She is now married to dance partner Evgenij, with whom she has a daughter. The couple also run a dance school together in Germany.

Last year, Kulczak said Motsi struggled to adapt to the “German way” and that he had to help “organise” her. “For sure, the German character is different from the South African way of living,” he told the Sun.

“But she lived here a very long time, so she got used to it and liked how organised everything was and how things were functioning because it was organised.”

Kulczak claimed the former couple had an agreement to not talk about their private lives. He alleged his dance coaching and love life had been affected by Motsi’s claims in her book.

“I just wanted the apology. But at the point where you say all further communication is through legal teams, an apology is not enough any more,” Kulczak said last year.

Motsi is now preparing for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing as she returns as a judge alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas. They will welcome a whole set of new celebrities onto the dancefloor in just a few weeks time.
