Blur’s Parklife music video has stumped fans after they spotted one detail which seems to have gone unnoticed for decades, with listeners now demanding answers to one pressing issue

Keen-eyed fans of the legendary group Blur may have noticed a small detail in their Parklife music video.

Fans are now searching for an answer to a question which appears to have stumped fans of the Damon Albarn-fronted band for decades. The music video for the chart-topping track, starring Phil Daniels, features a brief detail which fans of the song are still trying to decipher.

Whether the moment in question was unintentional or a hidden Easter egg has left fans split, but there are some who are trying to figure out the origins of Amazing Glazing, the fictional company Daniels and Albarn are seen working for in the video. Some are particularly interested in the advertised number for the business.

A post to the r/Blur subreddit reads: “Has anyone ever tried ringing the number on the Parklife video, and what happened?”

The video sees Albarn and movie star Daniels play the roles of two window salesmen. Daniels would provide vocals for the song, with Albarn adding the chorus.

Daniels, who featured in films like Scum and Quadrophenia, occasionally joins the band to perform the song, as he did at Wembley Stadium on the group’s reunion show in 2023.

Fans were disappointed, however, by the number featured on the card in the Parklife music video.

One user who tried to ring the number wrote: “Me and my mate tried it and it’s not a real number.” Another added: “Never tried but none of the numbers looked like a UK number or area code.”

A third confirmed the top two numbers are not valid, and while the third number may have worked back when the video first released, there is no way of confirming it now.

They wrote: “The top two aren’t valid UK numbers. 0956 3xxxxx was a legit mobile phone prefix for the One2One network (which became T-Mobile, which became EE) so the number might have worked back in the day, but wouldn’t work now.”

It comes after Blur suffered another phone-related dilemma. Girls & Boys video director Kevin Godley had to change his mobile number shortly after the release of the Parklife album. According to RedBull, Godley accidentally left his phone number in the liner notes.

They claim: “Kevin Godley – who directed the video of the song [Girls & Boys], had to change his mobile number shortly after Parklife was released as it was accidentally printed in the album liner notes.”

Daniels, who still sings Parklife with Blur at some live shows, confirmed the iconic song had affected his day to day life after release.

As they strolled in London with their daughter Palma and Michelle’s mother, Michelle and Michelle Keegan looked like the perfect family.

New parents Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan looked happier than ever as they enjoyed a walk with their newborn daughter. The happy couple, both 37, welcomed daughter Palma Elizabeth Wright into the world earlier this month after 10 years of marriage.

After a chance encounter that led to the superstar watching his own performance, the busker who was sung by Ed Sheeran left stunned.

Finn Flood took to Twitter to share his memories of singing Ed’s 2017 hit, Perfect in a busy Manchester shopping district. A witness who had been peering from a nearby hotel window stopped while claiming to be a friend of the superstar during his rendition.

Finn’s jaw dropped as he said, “I work really close with him.” I just sent him a video of you revealing that I’m in Manchester, and I’ll show him it when he returns. Finn reacted in awe of hope and said, “Thank you very much. Wow. That is fantastic. That would be “busking for you”!
