Stars like Rami Malek, Renée Zellweger and most recently Timothee Chalamet have proved that the best way to win awards is by starring in a biopic. Now, fans are predicting the same fate for Zendaya who has been confirmed to star in a biographical drama about Ronnie Spector.

Zendaya will portray the late ‘60s music icon in the upcoming A24 production Be My Baby, which will focus on the life of the former Ronettes singer. Zendaya, who will also serve as a producer, was first attached to the project in 2020 and was hand-picked by Ronnie Spector for the role before her passing in 2022.

According to fans, this biopic will finally be enough to win Zendaya her first-ever Oscar. After the official announcement, fans flooded X with encouragement for the actress.

One fan said, “Zendaya, your Oscar is coming.” She is about to start working her off, writes another writer. In the future, she will receive an Oscar with her name on it. One fan claims that this could be Zendaya’s Oscar because she has already won numerous Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. We’re getting closer to Zendaya EGOT if she is able to pull this off.

Be My Baby already has all the makings of an Oscar’s darling. In addition to an A-list lead, the film will be directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter behind Moonlight, Barry Jenkins.

The film will be adapted from the singer’s 1990 memoir: “Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, and Madness, Or, My Life as a Fabulous Ronette”. Instead of focusing on the full life of the Ronnie Spector (born Veronica Bennett), the film will hone in on her life with her abusive former-husband and infamous producer Phil Spector.

To date, Zendaya has not been able to snag an Oscar nomination herself, despite being tied to nominated projects like Dune: Part Two. Many felt the actress was snubbed for a Best Actress nomination for leading role in the heady tennis drama, Challengers.

The actress was notably absent for this year’s Academy Award ceremony, despite Dune: Part Two being nominated, but she has been rallying with back-to-back projects. In addition to starring alongside Robert Pattinson in The Drama, she is also gearing up for production of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey alongside her fiancée Tom Holland.

Now that HBO Max’s third season of Euphoria has begun to film, Zendaya also has a lot to do. Rue Bennet will return as the actress, and she’ll continue to serve as executive producer.

Zendaya’s performance in the Euphoria role has been a huge success, undoubtedly launching her into the A-list stardom snazzy. She is the youngest black actress to make $1 million per episode thanks to her contribution to the project.

In 2020, her performance in the hit drama also saw her become the youngest-ever recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. In 2022, Zendaya secured the award again at the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards, becoming the youngest two-time acting winner.

Huge TV star Lesley Joseph says she was rejected from Celeb version of The Traitors

Instead of Big Brother or I’m a Celeb, Lesley Joseph, who is well-known for her role in Birds of a Feather, said she was desperate to be in The Traitors.

The Traitors will make an all-stars appearance.

Birds Of A Feather star Lesley Joseph has claimed she was snubbed for the Celeb version of The Traitors.

The actress, who has also had an extensive stage career, said “they didn’t want me” when asked about her desire to appear in the reality TV series. Speaking to a reporter on Wednesday night, Lesley, 79, said: “I couldn’t do Big Brother, because I like my own bathroom too much, and I wouldn’t do I’m A Celeb with putting things in my mouth. I wanted to take part in The Traitors but that didn’t happen, so I think that would be the one I’d do.”

When asked if she had tried to appear on the show, Lesley, who was born in north London, said, “I did, but they didn’t want me.” Although Lesley is alleged to have failed to pass the test, some big names have already been confirmed, including England rugby ace Joe Marler and Stephen Fry, and celebrity thrillers will soon begin to be made.

At the charity event to benefit the Melissa Bell Foundation and the Style For Stroke Foundation, she addressed the media at the Spring Ball at the Bloomsbury Ballroom.

The actress, who was in Birds Of A Feather’s original run and the reboot, the latter ending in 2020, has already been in reality shows Celebrity MasterChef and Celebrity Coach Trip. In 2016, Lesley took part in the fourteenth series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and was the oldest contestant.

And she revealed she has no plans to retire from showbusiness anytime soon. Speaking to The Sun on the red carpet, Lesley continued: “I’m about to fly out to Malta to do a Channel 5 thing, and I’m also about to do work on a cruise. I’m about to do Addams Family, so I’ve got more work coming out than I know what to do with.”

But she ruled out the return of Birds Of A Feather, which won the TV Choice Award for Best Comedy during its revival in 2016. In it, Lesley starred alongside longtime friend Pauline Quirke, who confirmed in January she has stepped away from acting following her diagnosis of dementia.

Adolescence star leaves Jeremy Clarkson stunned after curious exchange on Twitter

A question was raised about a scene from the Netflix drama Adolescence that was shot in one continuous shot in Jeremy Clarkson’s tweet, now known as X.

Jeremy Clarkson questioned how a scene in Adolescence was filmed(Image: Getty Images)

Jeremy Clarkson was impressed when an Adolescence actor confirmed a scene – which the TV presenter branded “impossible” – was filmed in just one take.

The broadcaster was perplexed at how a scene at the end of episode two was filmed, considering it has been widely reported each episode of the drama was made in just one continuous shot. Mr Clarkson, 64, referred to the conclusion of the second episode, which saw a chase scene, which at one point was filmed through a window.

He said on X, which was known as Twitter: “Adolescence. The camera at the end of [episode] 2. How on earth did they do that? It’s impossible.” Someone who claimed to appear on the show as an actor replied: “Hey Jeremy. Actor that worked on the show. It was indeed attached VERY carefully to a powerful drone. They only got the take in the bag on the final day.”

It left the former Top Gear host impressed. He replied: “Well congrats to you all. Masterful television.” More than 1,000 people liked Mr Clarkson’s reply, posted on the social media site earlier this month when Adolescence took Netflix by storm.

A TikTok about the operation of the scene was created by Bella Roberts, who also worked on the show. I’m going to let you into a secret, Bella said. The glass is fake, not real. I’m sorry to contradict the facts. However, the window wasn’t there when they were filming that scene, which is how they did it.

Someone is waiting on the other side of the camera’s door to grab it while the camera passes through the empty panel. In the event that the actor falls, there is also a crash mat on the other side of the window. Which was also painted out… The window was simply VFXed back in. “

Moments later, eagle-eyed viewers described how they spotted a camera operator. The behind-the-scenes details of how they managed to do so successfully have delighted viewers. A camera operator can now be seen in an aerial shot at the conclusion of the second episode.

After highlighting that reporters sat down with creators to spill the beans on it all, a TikTok user, @itsjusttjoy, took to her page to explain. In episode two, she states, “You can see a camera operator.

So they had a team of photographers coming up behind Matthew the cinematographer who clipped the drone as Ashley Walters left the car. Then they flew that drone over the town, and Matthew the cinematographer hopped into a van and drove to the Stephen Graham-eradying final scene.
