Peter Andre has opened up about ‘horrific’ comments Danny Dyer once made about him in 1999 film Human Traffic, admitting they left him feeling hurt. It comes as the Mysterious Girl singer has come under fire this week and had some negative comments directed at him for starring in a new film,
While Peter is yet to address the backlash, he did take to his weekly New! Magazine column this week to give his opinion on controversy surrounding Saturday Night Live for a parody sketch they aired which mimicked actress Aimee Lou Wood and her quirky smile, leaving her hurt.

Looking back at jokes made about himself which left him feeling a similar way, Peter wrote: “I saw on Instagram that White Lotus actress Aimee Lou Wood felt the SNL skit was mean and unfunny. I get that. In the nineties, Danny Dyer’s character in the film Human Traffic said some horrific things about me.

“At the time I was really hurt and upset, but I’ve met Danny many times and he’s lovely and we get on great. It’s hard to draw a line between comedy and art and real-life, sometimes. I hope she wasn’t too upset and is able to move past it. She’s a brilliantly talented actress. . “

Peter has been embroiled in his own drama this week as many are unhappy with his role in new film Jafaican, for which the trailer dropped this week.
The movie, which features Peter as a Jamaican gangster, has divided the internet, with many disapproving of Peter’s character wearing a dreadlock wig and putting on a Jamaican accent for his feature film outing. Many have questioned “why is Jamaica always the butt of the joke” and some have even gone as far to brand the film racist.

The plot is teased as follows: “Desperate to secure £35,000 for his gran’s care, small-time crook Gazza jumps on a risky tip-off and hatches a daring scam. With just 21 days to pull it off, he must immerse himself in Jamaican culture to con his way between London and Jamaica. “
Peter shared the trailer with his fans on both Instagram and Twitter (X) on Tuesday but has since deleted his tweet amid a massive backlash. “This is actually so gross and I don’t know why Jamaica is always everybody’s punchline. Wishing the worst for everyone involved especially you Peter Andre,” one critic fumed.
Gemma Collins’s shrinking frame has left her with an unwelcome side effect – but the Diva Forever star is determined to take swift action in her quest for ‘perfection’, a source says
Gemma has lost around two stones so far(Image: Getty Images)
Gemma Collins might be thrilled to have dropped a few dress sizes – thanks to her Mounjaro weight loss jabs – but she’s not happy with one of the unwelcome side-effects. The 44-year-old revealed she’d lost more than two stone since starting on the NHS-approved weight loss jabs, but last week, she expressed concern that she’d started “looking older” since she began taking the medication late last year.
“I really don’t know what’s happened to me, I really don’t,” she said. “It’s just come on me overnight. But it has been a year since I’ve had any little tweakments.” The lines around her eyes had gone “next level”, she told her 2.2 million Instagram followers, before questioning whether it might be linked to her weight loss.

“I don’t know if it’s since I’ve been losing weight. I sure haven’t got ‘Ozempic face’ yet, but it would be the dream right now,” she said. “I’ve always had a fuller face, as you know. I do like expression around my eyes. I want to look natural still. But this just isn’t right. What has happened? I am 44 but this is taking it to levels that I never, ever imagined it’d get to. ”

So-called ‘Ozempic-face’ is a term used to describe a hollow or gaunt look usually caused by rapid weight loss.
A source claimed that while Gemma, who is engaged to businessman Rami Hawash, made light of her “next level” lines, she was genuinely shocked by the dramatic change. They also claimed that while she’s still taking the jabs, she’s managed to make healthy lifestyle changes too.
“She’s eating really healthily and has broken some of the bad habits with food,” they said. “It was a bit of a shock to her to really see the effect the weight loss has had on her face. She doesn’t want to suddenly look older than she is, which is why she’s sorting it and being honest about it.
“Gemma’s always been really open and honest about her relationship with her body and she’s been through some really horrible times with it, but that’s all in her past now. The wrinkle tweakments are all part of her wanting to feel and look good. She knows there’s no point losing all the weight and just being unhappy, so she’ll happily make little changes to keep herself feeling her best. ”
Our source says Gemma isn’t trying to fight the clock but wants to look her best
Gemma previously said she was a size 26 at her heaviest and is hoping to fit into a size 16 by summer, telling The Sun newspaper she was also hoping to “give birth to twins next year” if she can conceive at a healthy weight. She also revealed she once secretly had a gastric balloon fitted, but begged doctors to remove it after experiencing crippling pain. “It was scary. I should never have done it – I thought I was going to die,” she said.
Earlier this year, she announced she had signed up with Yazen, a company that provides a treatment plan of weight loss jabs, to put an end to her years of yo-yo dieting. She has often spoken publicly about her struggle with her weight, which she previously admitted had left her feeling suicidal and stuck in a “toxic dieting chain”.
“I will finally be free,” she said at the time. “I will finally be able to live my best life and just be free from all that upset and stress and turmoil that comes with constantly trying to lose excess weight. ”
Dr Emma Cunningham, aesthetic doctor and founder of Dr Emma Clinics, told the Mirro that Gemma’s fresh anxiety around her facial wrinkles is an increasingly familiar issue with patients, as more and more people take weight loss medication. While they do not cause wrinkles directly, the rapid loss of fat, especially around the face, can leave skin looking looser and less plump.
Dr Emma said more and more people were taking medications like Mounjaro(Image: Bloomberg via Getty Images)
“Men and women turning to these jabs are often delighted with the weight loss, but then catch sight of their reflection and feel they suddenly look older,” said Dr Emma. “That’s because the softness and roundness that fat gives the face is linked to a more youthful appearance. When that disappears, it can create hollow cheeks, gauntness and more pronounced lines. It’s not just the face either – the skin on the neck, arms, and tummy can also appear looser, depending on how much weight is lost and how fast. ”
Fortunately, according to Dr Emma, there is a lot that can be done to support the skin in such cases such as gentle fillers, polynucleotides, skin boosters and radiofrequency treatments.

“A fuller face can often disguise early signs of ageing, so when that volume goes, it can suddenly highlight sagging or wrinkles that were previously less obvious,” said Dr Emma. “It’s not that weight loss causes ageing, but rather that it reveals more of what was already there. ”
Our source claimed Gemma is not trying to turn back the clock and that she is fully aware she’s in her mid forties, but she’s not going to let a few wrinkles ruin her look. “She’s a diva and she strives for perfection,” said the source. “Rami totally supports her. She doesn’t go wild with treatments – it’s just a little maintenance here and there. She knows she’s 44. She’s not trying to pretend she’s 24. ”

Today’s horoscope for April 21 will see Sagittarius balance their home and work obligations, while Scorpio makes enquiries about promotion opportunities
Find out what’s written in the stars with our astrologer Russell Grant(Image: Daily Record/GettyImages)
It’s Monday, and one star sign will improve their relationships today, while another should approach important dealings with a clear mind.
There are 12 zodiac signs – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces – and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.
These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years. From Aries through to Pisces, here’s what today could bring for your horoscope – and what you can do to be prepared.
Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
You have an opportunity to boost your earnings by taking on a more responsible position and it is clear what your choice will be. You may not have intended to step into a leadership role but if this is what you are being asked to do, you will take this chance to play a leading part.
Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)
One way to improve your relationships and your understanding of others is to be more transparent yourself. Over the days ahead make it your aim to share your thoughts and feelings openly. You could be pleasantly surprised by the outcomes.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)
There will be no shortage of opportunities for you to improve your life over the month ahead. Even so, it may take some thoughtful consideration to decide on which path is the best fit for you. There is a wonderful chance for a wish to come true.
Cancer (June 22 – July 23)
Your career and various other responsibilities will be keeping you busy. There’s a nagging feeling you have less choice nowadays about what you are doing. It also seems as if your hard work is being overlooked or people are placing excessive demands on you without fully understanding your situation.
Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)
When considering the week ahead you will need to approach important dealings with a clear mind. Even if the temptation is strong, try not to let your emotions rule your head. Consider the advantages and disadvantages of each situation. Choose the option that makes the most practical sense.
Virgo (Aug 24 – Sept 23)
You will be putting in a lot of effort to keep on top of everyday responsibilities. Finding time to relax will be a challenge. As a result, you might start feeling emotionally drained and physically exhausted. For that reason, don’t take on anything more.
Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)
Being creative brings out the best in you. Don’t keep putting your dreams on hold because of financial obligations. If you have a passion for writing, poetry, art or designing clothes, find a way to adjust your schedule so you can pursue your hobby.
Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)
Despite a housemate expecting to hear your views on a domestic matter, your home life is not your main focus. You will deal with this another time. In the workplace, this will be a good time to request favours or to make enquiries about promotion opportunities.
Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)
You’re looking for ways to balance your home and work obligations more effectively. You will admit that your career and personal responsibilities are clashing and this is a situation that cannot continue. A partner will be happy to hear you agree this state of affairs cannot go on any longer.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)
A morning meeting, test or interview will have you feeling slightly nervous but once it is over, you might wonder why you allowed yourself to get so worried. All will go well for you but not everyone will share your relief. Someone will feel they could have done a lot better.

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)
A personal project will come to a standstill. This is going to feel frustrating but the answer could become clear when you review your recent work and notice you have cut a few too many corners. Address these and progress will pick up again in no time.
Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
You might feel discouraged or distracted if your family or friends don’t instantly share your excitement about some personal plans. If you’re looking for support or help, remember that patience can lead to success. Be open to exploring different approaches when presenting your ideas.

Love Island contestant Tyrique Hyde opens up on how being born without hearing in one ear has shaped him growing up – and how his openness is helping others feel ‘seen’

Love Island’s Tyrique Hyde has opened up about living with a hidden disability – revealing he was born deaf in one ear and still faces disbelief when he tells people about it. The 26-year-old, who rose to fame on the 2023 series of the ITV2 dating show, said being open about his hearing loss has helped others feel seen, particularly young Black men.
In an exclusive interview with OK!, speaking to us from sunny Marrakesh where he was celebrating his birthday in Marrakesh, the semi-pro footballer reflected on the impact of his condition – as well as the many assumptions people make when they can’t ‘see’ it.

It’s been two years since Tyrique entered the Love Island villa – but he says people still don’t believe him when it comes to his disability(Image: ITV)
“Even being on a show like Love Island, watched by so many, being open and honest with my hearing difficulties was a big thing,” he explained. “Even since, I’ve met so many people – young Black guys just like me, saying they were inspired. I’m born deaf in one ear and I’m still making it work. I love who I am.”

But Tyrique admitted that not wearing a hearing aid has led to others questioning whether he’s telling the truth. “One [misconception] is that, just because someone’s not wearing a hearing aid, that doesn’t mean they haven’t got hearing loss,” he said.
“Until this day, when I tell people, ‘Oh, could you come to the left side of me because I can’t really hear what’s going on,’ they’re like, ‘Stop lying. ’ I don’t even blame them. If someone told me they’re deaf, but they haven’t got hearing aids and they’re speaking normally and can hear what I’m saying, that doesn’t mean they’re not struggling. ”
Tyrique shared that since appearing on Love Island, he’s met lots of people who could relate to his hearing loss (Image: REX/Shutterstock)
Asked why he doesn’t wear a hearing aid, Tyrique said it’s simply always been that way. “I don’t even remember making a decision not to wear one. It was just all I’ve ever known. If something’s not broken, don’t fix it. ”
The Essex native, who is teaming up with RNID to support Deaf Awareness Week (5-11 May), said he doesn’t feel a responsibility to speak out just because of his reality TV background – but shares what matters to him.
“I don’t really think it’s a responsibility as such,” he said. “Just because someone was on reality TV, they don’t have to start being a pioneer for this, or that. People should just really share what they’re passionate about and be themselves. ”

“I never promote anything that’s going to be detrimental to someone or put someone in danger. I just wanna be exactly how I was on the show,” he adds, “When I went on to the show, I said to myself, no matter what happens, if I come home in the first couple of days, I’m just going to be my absolute true self. This is me. It’s the same Tyrique they’re seeing on TikTok, Snapchat and in person. ”
Tyrique was speaking on behalf of RNID for Deaf Awareness Week (5-11 May 2025) – an annual event celebrating the deaf community and raising awareness of the challenges faced by the 18 million adults in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. Visit RNID.org.uk/it-does-matter

While the beauty gadget has impressed many shoppers, some haven’t been quite as convinced: “I don’t know how long the effect will last, but I already love it. ” Another added: “Very quick and easy to use but as yet, no idea how long they’ll last. “

Love Island: All Star couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard have fuelled fears that their relationship is over as they appeared to spend the Easter weekend apart
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard have fuelled split fears(Image: @ekinsuofficial/instagram)
Love Island fans fear All Star couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard may have split after they appeared to spend Easter apart. The reality star couple fell for each other on the spin-off all star version of the show at the beginning of the year – although they did not win the series, as Casey O’Gorman and Gabby Allen reigned supreme.
Fans, however, remained hopeful that 30-year-old Ekin-Su, who first found fame on Love Island in 2022 on season eight of the show, and Curtis, 29, who found fame on season five in 2019, would go the distance. The pair have been sharing social media content in the weeks since the second season of Love Island: All Stars concluded in the middle of February.
But anxious fans noticed that the pair did not seem to spend the Easter weekend together – sparking fears of a split. On Instagram Stories on Sunday, Ekin-Su showed off her hair and proudly boasted that it is all her own, real hair and she has no extensions.
She then shared a sultry photo of herself declaring that she was heading “back to London” after spending some time out of the capital. Meanwhile, Curtis shared a post on his main grid showing him working out in a gym – with Ekin-Su nowhere to be seen.
The pair usually mark events together by posing for photos, leaving some fans worried that they may have broken up as they did not share loved-up Easter themed content. But other fans were relived, however, to notice that Ekin-Su had commented on Curtis’s exercise video.

Ekin-Su did, however, comment on Curtis’s workout post(Image: @curtispritchard12/instagram)
She had left a message in the comments, writing: “Discipline and hard work! Proud” – and added a clapping hand emoji and a red heart emoji. Ekin-Su and Curtis have been battling claims of a split in recent days.
Ekin-Su herself sparked concerns when she took to her TikTok page to share a video lip-syncing to a Pussycat Dolls song as she got ready in her bathroom. But the song in question was Beep released by the chart-mauling girl group back in 2005. The clip instantly sparked concern from fans.
In the clip, Ekin can be seen lip-syncing to the lyrics: “I keep turning them down, but they always come around, asking me to go around, that’s not the way it’s going down, ’cause they only want, only want my ah-ha-ha, only want, what they want but, na-ah-ah, na-ah-ah. “
Ekin-Su revealed she has spent the weekend away from London(Image: Instagram)
Her video, which attracted over 9,000 likes, was soon flooded with comments from fans questioning her relationship status. One fan penned: “Where is Curtis? ” A second typed: “Why can’t people see Ekin and Curtis not together they have broken up. “
Meanwhile a third added: “She not going to answer about Curtis cause they not together. ” However, Ekin furiously hit back replying: “Jade you would be a great journalist. But sorry to disappoint you but we are together. “
Another supported Ekin, writing: “God forbid she makes a couple TikToks on her own the world thinks she’s broke up with Curtis.”
Meanwhile one added that Ekin and Curtis had posted on another social media platform that they were enjoying a romantic date at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant.
Her cryptic upload came after Ekin appeared to take aim at her ex-boyfriend, Married At First Sight UK star Georges Berthonneau – implying that he was “obsessed” with her. 31-year-old Georges claimed that Ekin had left him heartbroken after she “cheated on him” during her appearance on Love Island All Stars, where she met professional dancer Curtis.
Ekin and Georges were first linked together in November last year but kept their relationships underwraps and according to him, they even had an agreement in place for when she returned to the ITV dating programme. In an interview, he said he and Ekin agreed to her returning to the show in order to “boost” her career.
According to Georges, he and Ekin-Su were together for 10 months before she shared steamy moments with Curtis on Love Island, with the agreement being that she couldn’t go further than “kissing” anyone. “It was a super, super intense and intimate relationship…

“We had a lot of intimacy, we were very close, and physically and emotionally we showed each other such love, but she threw everything we had away for her TV romance with Curtis Pritchard,” he told the Daily Mail, adding that they spent holidays together and met each other’s family members.
