Black Sabbath admit they ‘don’t know’ how Ozzy Osbourne will perform again

Black Sabbath take to the stage in July and have confirmed rehearsals start this month but Ozzy’s input is not clear

Black Sabbath guitarist and rock icon Tony Iommi has admitted he “doesn’t know what’s going to happen” when Ozzy Osbourne tries to get back on stage next month with the band.

Ozzy and Black Sabbath will headline their final gig on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, as part of an event titled “Back To The Beginning”.

This show will reunite the original band members – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for the first time in 20 years.

The band played its “last” gig in 2017 in Birmingham with Osborne, guitarist Iommi and bassist Butler but without Ward on drums.

But last year Ozzy was not well enough to perform at the band’s Rock’N’Roll Hall Of Fame inauguration in America.

In a new interview ahead of the show Tony admitted he has “excitement mixed with fear” ahead of the show, whilst he also confirmed rehearsals are due to start this month.

He said: “This would be a big, monumental thing if it all comes good. The worrying thing for me is the unknown.

“We don’t know what’s going to happen. Normally, when we’d tour, we’d rehearse and run through the thing for a while, and it’s just us. But with this event there are so many other moving parts.”

He added: “You’re used to Ozzy running around, but he certainly won’t be doing that for this show. I don’t know if he’s going to be standing or sitting on a throne or what.”

Iommi and Ozzy have exchanged setlist wishlists, which will be consolidated in due course when they meet up in person.

Speaking to Music Week, Iommi said: “Once we start playing, then we’ll know we’re doing it.

“It’s always a worry, even when we did tours before, there’s always that build-up, and then it gets to the point that we do it and it’s OK.”

Ozzy, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, told last month how he has been having physical therapy and training with a trainer virtually living with him in Los Angeles in a bid to get him fit enough to perform on stage after a catalogue of illnesses.

Ozzy’s wife Sharon said: “Ozzy’s working with his therapist every single day. He’s doing really well, actually. Ozzy’s number one thing in life is his fans, so he’s working hard to be ready for them, to make this show the perfect way to end things.”

Ozzy’s wife also told Music Week(PLS REF) the celebration gig shows how well the band have endured through the years since they formed over 50 years ago. She said: “You’ve got to remember, this is a band that started in the ‘60s – and they’re still here,” marvels the manager. “A lot of the bands who started in the ‘60s are no longer alive, or operating as they used to.”

In May Ozzy admitted he is suffering huge self confidence and stage fright issues ahead of his summer UK farewell show – but has vowed “to give 120 percent”.

Speaking on his own radio show in America he said: “My head’s crazy. ADHD – I have that badly.

“I will have done the show and died a death before I even started my exercises. So I try and put it on the back burner.

“I’m not going up there saying ‘It’s going to be great. I’m really confident.’ “In my head I will have died on my ass. I remember being in f***ing Vegas one time being in the dressing room going, ‘I’m going to play. I’m going to die.’

“And I talked myself into blowing the gig. It was only two f***ing songs.

“Sharon goes, ‘just don’t think about it.’

“But all I can say is I’m giving 120%. If my God wants me to do the show. I’ll do it. Sometimes if I start obsessing on the time, I’ll be insane by Friday. So I’m just taking it one day at a time.”

Madonna was blasted by fans for being a ‘hypocrite’ as she told them to ‘love the skin they’re in’ after sharing snaps of her latest raunchy photoshoot. The Material Girl icon, 66, took to her Instagram page to share several snaps of herself donning knickers and a white vest.

The singer styled her blonde locks in loose waves and rocked dark eyeshadow with simple makeup. She used a white flower as a prop as she pouted for the camera. In the caption, she wrote: “Love the Skin you’re in. Happy Pride,” along with the Pride flag and a blue heart emoji.

She also added the hashtag, Veronica Electronica, in reference to the remix album she’s releasing on July 25. The long-rumoured remix album is the accompaniment to her 1998 record, Ray of Light.

While many were in awe over the photoshoot, some branded her a ‘hypocrite’ for her use of filters in her images. One person said: “Love the skin you’re in but u use filters all the time lol.”

“And if you don’t love the skin you’re in, fill it full of injectables,” another said to the star while one fan simply commented: “Oh the irony.”

Others were quick to compliment the star, with one user writing: “The essence of a woman who continues to defy patterns, break barriers and reaffirm her place as a symbol of reinvention and freedom.”

“Wow beautiful,” one said while another commented: “It doesn’t matter who is in office because everybody know Madonna will forever be the queen of pop.”

Madonna recently showcased a brunette look on social media and revealed the motivation behind her recent decision to have the makeover.

She shared a series of selfies on her Instagram Story. She ditched her signature blonde hair in favour of going brunette in the photos. In one of the posts, she told her followers on the platform that there was a poignant reason being her sporting the new hairstyle.

The La Isla Bonita singer revealed to her followers that the look was inspired by her late mother Madonna Fortin, who died when the Vogue singer was five. The Grammy Award winner wrote over one of the photos: “I missed my Mother so I channeled her.”

Following her mother’s death, Madonna was raised by her father Silvio ‘Tony’ Ciccone, 93, and her late step-mother Joan Ciccone, who died aged 81 last year.

Joan, who had briefly been a housekeeper for the family, married father-of-six Tony in 1966, three years on from his first wife’s death.

Pete Wicks rages after Sam Thompson tells him about cafe you ‘can’t eat anything’ at

Pete Wickes couldn’t believe what he was hearing when podcast co-host and best mate Sam Thompson told him there’s a cafe you can go to where you can’t eat a morsel

They discussed the topic on their podcast (Image: instagram/@p_wicks01)

Pete Wicks, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, has been left raging after podcast co-host Sam Thompson, of Made In Chelsea fame, told him there’s a cafe in London where you can’t actually eat anything. When Sam told him this on their Staying Relevant podcast, the 37-year-old was left dumbfounded, wondering what the point is.

“So what do you eat?” Pete asked Sam, and the 32-year-old responded: “Nothing”. Pete continued: “So if you go for lunch, you’re just as hungry when you leave?” Sam then explained to Pete that you wouldn’t be going to this place for lunch, because it’s the Jellycat cafe.

“But why else would you go to a cafe other than to f**king eat something?” Pete fumed, unable to grasp the concept of the Jellycat cafe. Jellycats are plush toys known for their adorable faces. The company was founded in London in 1999 and has surged in popularity, with many adults and children collecting them.

For those, like Pete, who are not in the know, the Jellycat cafe was a pop-up store in London, and when you purchased a product from there, staff members would pretend to ‘cook’ the toy food item in front of you. Currently, there’s a fish and chip shop in Selfridges, London, where staff will do the same thing.

In other countries, there’s a Jellycat Diner Experience at FAO Schwarz, New York, and the Jellycat Pâtisserie experience on the 5th floor of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann within the FAO Schwarz store.

Sam explained that you’d “go and pick up your burger, but it’s your Jellycat burger,” but Pete still couldn’t grasp “which bit you eat”.

“You don’t eat anything, it’s a toy,” Sam continued, which led Pete to fume: “So what’s she cooking?”

Things started to sound a little weird when Sam said: “Nothing. She’s pretending to cook the toy,” but anyone who has seen the Jellycat experiences in action will know how wholesome it is.

Pete was baffled about what “the point” was in pretending to cook the Jellycat, wondering why they can’t just put it in a bag.

“You coulda just picked the f**ker up and whacked it in your bag,” he seethed, saying that the staff pretending to cook something is silly.

“It’s the only way you can get it,” Sam shared, and Pete couldn’t believe you were “forced” to watch it.

Sam then revealed that their producer, Pippa, has been, and also owns around 30 to 40 Jellycats, and that seemed to be the final straw for Pete.

Sam then shared he has two, and Pete raged: “You’re an adult. I’m not going to a cafe so I can go and watch someone pretend to cook a toy, so I can take it home and say ‘ooh I picked myself up a nice new toy burger today and someone cooked it for me and pretended to put blueberry sauce all over my f**king toy pancake’. What’s the point? What is the point?”

Chris Martin’s reaction to Dakota Johnson’s dream about Matty Healy as split details revealed

Actress Dakota Johnson has revealed her dream about The 1975’s Matty Healy, which saw the singer morphing into a vegetable to dodge the police, with Chris Martin’s reaction

Newly single Dakota Johnson has revealed her ex Chris Martin’s brilliant reaction to her wacky dream about singer Matty Healy. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 35, and the Coldplay frontman, 48, recently ended their romantic relationship after eight years together.

Chatting with comedian Amy Poehler, Dakota recalled having a bizarre dream about The 1975 hitmaker. “I actually had a dream the other night,” Dakota told host Amy during the latest episode of the Good Hang podcast. “Matty Healy from The 1975 was in my dream and he was murdering people, and he was Matty Healy as himself.”

Dakota, who recently enjoyed a dinner date with Matty’s ex Taylor Swift, then went on to note how the dream got even stranger, with her dream version of Matty morphing into a vegetable to dodge the police. “When the people were looking for him—they were cops maybe,” Dakota continued, “he would turn into a piece of asparagus.”

If that wasn’t weird enough, an Oscar-winning actress then entered the dream. “I saw these two poles and a bed and I was like, ‘Matty?'” Dakota said. “The sheets came down and it was him as an asparagus and Angelina Jolie as an asparagus. They were getting married, and they left in a helicopter together as asparagus.”

The next morning, Dakota shared her wild dream with her then-boyfriend Chris. The Fix You songwriter was fascinated by Dakota’s subconscious, telling her: “That’s a really good pitch for a movie.”

Dakota and Chris reportedly split over his reluctance to set a wedding date. . Insiders allege that the frustration stemming from this hesitancy contributed to the end of their eight-year relationship, with 35 year old Dakota particularly “sick” that no date had been decided.

The two became engaged years after their on-off romance took off in 2017, following the dad-of-two’s split from his ex-wife, Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow. A source told Page Six: “She was sick of him dragging his feet on setting a date for the wedding.”

Others in Dakota and Chris’ inner circle reckon disagreements on starting a family played a role too. Another insider claimed: “They broke up over Chris Martin not wanting to have more kids.”

While Dakota, unlike her former beau, has never tied the knot or had children, she has hinted at her desire for both. A confidant shared with The Sun, “They really tried to work through their issues but the age gap was often a problem. She’d [also] expressed that she may want children in the future, whereas Chris is kind of done with that part of his life.”

Following the news of the couple’s split, an insider disclosed: “They just haven’t been able to figure out to make it official. Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.

“Breakups aren’t instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder, but then they’d get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren’t right for each other anymore…

“Dakota is devastated that she isn’t going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.”

Moment Kate Garraway thought she was ‘no longer safe’ while caring for Derek Draper

Kate Garraway has revealed the heartbreaking moment she felt it was unsafe for her and her family as they cared for Derek Draper following his health complications after contracting Covid

Kate Garraway has candidly opened up on the struggles she faced while caring for late husband Derek Draper, saying it got to the point she no longer felt safe. Derek, a political lobbyist, died aged 56 in 2022 following a cardiac arrest after years of health implications from long Covid.

Derek’s health rapidly deteriorated after he contracted coronavirus in March 2020. He died four years later in January 2024.

Throughout his struggles, Good Morning Britain presenter Kate was by his side and was his primary carer. However, she has revealed how she got so tired at one stage that she felt the situation was no longer safe for her or her kids.

Speaking to the Sun, Kate described a three-week gap in care for her husband while the system tried to work out which agency would be best suited to helping the family with the care he needed. She said during that time she “had no choice but to try to get through looking after Derek 24/7 completely alone”.

Kate confessed: “By the end I was so sleep-deprived I was scared it was no longer safe — for me, for the children, let alone for Derek. In desperation I called health services again and this time refused to get off the phone until some answer was given.

“In the end, the person on the other end of the phone, who was also clearly exhausted, told me, “There is nothing I can do but — and this isn’t official — you are not alone and what I always say to people is take him to A&E and leave him there, then they legally have to do something.”

Kate was stunned that this was what the stage it had gotten to, questioning how the best solution appeared to be to “abandon” someone who wasn’t safe to be left alone. She praised family members who helped with the awful situation, but realises others may not be so lucky.

Kate also she admitted she still has a “tsunami of sadness” as she regularly wakes in the middle of night panicking she hasn’t given her husband his medicine. She previously revealed the touching last moments she and her two kids shared with Derek.

According to Kate in a discussion last year, proud dad Derek told his children, Darcey and Billy: “You’re the best children anyone could ask for. Look after mum, be good for her.” This was sadly last time Derek saw his two children before going into a coma.

Kate openly praised her kids for how they handled their dad’s condition and passing. Speaking on Good Morning Britain in February 2024, Kate said: “It was one of those stop-the-clock moments, where you want the world to stop.

“It swamps you. We now have 24 hours, [which] turned out to be more of a month, of fighting on and fighting on, following the prognosis that he won’t make it through. For the children when they heard he won’t make it through, they’ve heard it so many times.

“They were so beautiful, the children, about that. They individually had time with him on his own and Darcey said, ‘If, dad, you can’t do this, it’s okay. Don’t worry about us’. And I had similar conversations, a chance to hold his hand and smell his skin and hold him all the way through, and some people don’t get that.

Kylie Jenner’s £4.40 brow gel is worth the hype but beware of one thing

Kylie Jenner’s go-to brow gel costs less than a fiver and has been a staple in my makeup routine for a while now – but there’s one slight downside to the product

Kylie’s brow product costs less than a fiver

Kylie Jenner’s TikTok account has become a treasure trove for beauty-obsessed fans looking to upgrade their makeup and skincare routines with the latest celebrity-favourite products.

From promoting the latest from her own beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics, to sharing exactly how she gets her wavy hairstyle, with the help of her hairstylist, Kylie is sharing all of her beauty tips and tricks on the social media app.

But I found that her latest recommendation, the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel, is a product that’s long been a part of my makeup routine – and for good reason too.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie showed off her most recent makeup routine in a ‘get ready with me’ upload, and prepped her brows with the gel, which you can get your hands on for just over a fiver in your local supermarket and your closest Boots or Superdrug store.

The gel is practically invisible, vegan friendly, free of silicones and alcohol and is dermatologically tested, so you can trust that your skin won’t react badly, despite this product offering a super strong hold for your brows and edges for up to 72 hours.

It’s made of the same ‘Glued’ formula that you’ll find in got2Be’s iconic hairspray, which is often used to keep slick back buns frizz free and even hold wigs in place all day long.

My review of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel

I’ve been using the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel for a long while now and I’m currently on my second purchase as it quickly became a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I usually apply the gel before my foundation and allow it to fully dry for brows that won’t budge all day long.

Not only does the gel last all day, but a little goes a long way, so you can be sure to have this as part of your beauty bag for a long while before you run out and have to repurchase.

I haven’t used the gel on my edges so I can’t speak for their hold there, but for my brows, which can be quite unruly at times, this is the best product to tame and keep them neat.

Pros and cons of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel

Pros

  • Super strong hold
  • Quick-drying
  • Hold lasts well over 24hrs

Cons

  • Slight flaking if there’s excess product left on the skin
  • I’ve found that a white residue appears if mixed with foundation or SPF
