Taylor Swift Delivers Final Performance In Record-Breaking ‘Eras’ Tour

The final performance from Taylor Swift’s record-breaking “Eras” tour, which has easily become the most successful musical tour in history, took place on Sunday in Vancouver.

On March 17, 2023, the world-renowned event began in Arizona, US.

Sunday’s show in Canada was the 149th Eras performance, following stops in cities ranging from Buenos Aires to Paris and Tokyo.

Swift appeared on stage at a sold-out BC Place stadium shortly before 8: 00 pm (0400 GMT) and told the crowd “it’s feeling like a pretty cool night to be in Vancouver”, according to the Vancouver Sun newspaper.

The widely read trade magazine Pollstar has estimated the tour’s ticket revenue to be more than $2 billion, despite Swift’s camp’s camp’s camp’s camp’s camp’s press release.

That surpasses the record set by Elton John’s pandemic-infected “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour,” which sold an estimated $ 939 million in tickets over 328 shows spread over five years.

Beyond the concerts, Swift’s presence in venue cities has supercharged local economies.

Her second-last tour stop was Toronto, where she performed six shows over two weekends.

She generated an additional Can $282 million ($199 million) in economic activity in Canada’s largest city, tourism promotion organization Destination Toronto estimated.

Justin Trudeau and his family attended one of the Toronto shows.

Prior to the announcement that Eras would include Canadian stops, Trudeau issued a public appeal to get Swift involved.

“I am aware that Canada would be delighted to have you there. So, don’t make it another Cruel Summer. We hope to see you soon”, Trudeau posted on X in July 2023, referring to a hit song from Swift’s 2019 album, “Lover”.

Not all of the political attention that Swift drew from Eras was positive.

Swift endorsed the Democratic Party for president shortly after Donald Trump and Kamala Harris’ September presidential debate.

That triggered an all-caps Trump post on the Republican former president’s Truth Social platform that simply said, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”.

Super Bowl suspense

Reviews of Eras also praised Swift’s perseverance and energy throughout shows that lasted less than four hours on average.

The New York Times called opening night in Glendale, Arizona, a “master class”. The Vancouver Sun called Friday’s show, her third last, “spectacular”.

This summer, Vienna experienced a setback when three shows were canceled after a man was detained in connection with an Islamist attack plot.

And tragedy struck when a fan died in Rio de Janeiro last year from heat exhaustion.

Many fans were irritated by unprecedented ticket demand, which eventually led to Ticketmaster to abandon presale plans.

Eras also included a “will she, won’t she” moment of suspense that transcended the world of pop music.

After wrapping up a show in Tokyo on February 10, Swift was questioned about whether she had time to travel to Las Vegas in time to see her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play for the Kansas City Chiefs before the Super Bowl.

A non-football storyline rarely wins the conversation before America’s biggest sporting event.

However, Swift’s schedule was so troubling that the Japanese Embassy in Washington issued a statement saying she would “comfortably” make the game.

From a private box, along with Kelce’s mother, Donna, Swift chugged a beer and watched the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers as more than 200 million TV viewers watched her.

Cheapest Coldplay Wembley Stadium and Hull tickets still available to buy as Christmas gifts

Some of Coldplay’s most extravagant performances to date are set to debut in 2025, according to a recent announcement from Coldplay. The band will play ten shows at venues like London’s Wembley Stadium and Hull’s Craven Park Stadium over the summer of 2025.

Known for chart-toppers like Yellow, Viva la Vida, Fix You and many more, Coldplay is expected to entertain around 1 million fans throughout August and September 2025. They were quickly snapped up when they went on sale last weekend despite the incredible volume of tickets that were available.

Fans have since switched away from traditional retailers like Ticketmaster and Live Nation to resale websites like Vivid Seats, StubHub, and GoGoGo. Fans have the option of purchasing and selling tickets on these platforms, which will give them the option of choosing the front- or back-row seats they want to purchase.

Currently, these websites boast a plentiful supply of Coldplay tickets, including those for their Hull and London gigs. However, as prices are determined by fans, they may be significantly higher than anticipated.

There are currently plenty of ticket options for Coldplay fans. (GETTY)

How to now purchase resale Coldplay tickets

Tickets to Coldplay concerts can be purchased right away from a number of resale websites. What links are necessary for you:

Fans of Coldplay who prefer to avoid resale websites can still purchase tickets from authorized retailers for the band’s upcoming tour, including VIP and lodging options. Seat Unique, renowned for providing luxury experiences at music and sporting events, has tickets that come with perks like free drinks, catering, goodie bags, after-parties, and more. Some even grant access to private boxes. But hurry, these won’t be around for long.

Initial sales of official Coldplay tickets began on Friday, September 27, 2024, through various online retailers like Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Despite selling out quickly, there might still be a chance to grab a last-minute ticket.

Resale sites

Fans can purchase resale tickets from other fans through websites like Viagogo and Vivid Seats. However, it is important to point out that many event promoters believe that tickets must not be resold after the initial purchase and that they must not be resold in order to be admitted to shows.

Fans who purchase tickets through resale websites, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation, should double-check the terms and conditions at the point of sale to ensure a smooth live event experience. If it turns out that tickets were purchased second-hand, they could be voided. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee”.

Taylor Swift closes ‘thrilling chapter’ as her mammoth Eras Tour comes to an end

Taylor Swift referred to her Era Tour as “the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date” (poignant).

The 152-date tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona in March 2023 finally came to a close in Vancouver, Canada, last night. The shows, a 3.5 hour spectacular packed with rarities, hits, and fan favourites from Taylor’s enormous back catalogue, became a cultural phenomenon, and included eight sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Last night, the 34-year-old reflected on the past 19-months. We will never forget you giving us that moment, she told the crowd. You created such a place of joy, togetherness, and love, and I couldn’t be more proud of you for that.

After 19 months on the road, Taylor Swift's massive Eras Tour has come to an end.
After 19 months on the road, Taylor Swift’s massive Eras Tour has come to an end.

” It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I have ever done in my entire life.

“We have to perform for over 10 million people on this tour, and tonight we have to play one last show in beautiful Vancouver.”

Taylor’s Midnights album, 2022, featured Taylor’s song Karma, which closed the tour. She then gave her dancers on stage hugs as they tried to hold back their tears.

TayTay and her legion of Swifties also experienced that emotion. Before fans sang happy birthday to her ahead of her 35th birthday on Friday, she took out her earpieces to enjoy the ovation before singing Champagne Problems from the Evermore album.

Taylor also expressed her feelings in a 10-minute version of her song All Too Well, in which she praised fans’ traditions, passion, and “unmatched” care for this tour.

During a surprise last set, Swift said she “decided to go back to the beginning” with a mash-up of A Place In This World from her debut self-titled 2006 album, alongside New Romantics from her 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album – which she played on guitar.

Instead of a decade, she changed the lyrics to her 2010 song Long Live, which was combined with New Year’s Day from the Reputation album and The Manuscript from The Tortured Poets Department. A dancer said “for the last time, no,” in a nod to the previous performance in We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together.

Before October and November, the tour’s final stop was on the European leg in August. According to estimates, The Eras Tour has generated more than $1 billion in revenue, with cities hosting the tour also receiving financial gain from more visitors as fans book hotels and take mini vacations from concerts.

However, the tour wasn’t totally drama free. In the summer, Swift had to cancel three sold-out shows in Vienna after police uncovered an alleged plot by terrorists. Later, the CIA’s head claimed that the suspects had planned to kill “tens of thousands” of fans before the organization discovered information that stifled the execution and led to arrests.

Swift called the cancellation of the European leg of the tour “devastating,” but it “filled me with a new sense of fear.”

Taylor’s use of private jets caused backlash, despite her team’s claim that she paid for the offset of her carbon emissions. In response, outrage ensued after receiving police protection typically reserved for politicians and members of the royal family.

Earlier this week, Taylor was named Spotify’s most-played artist of the year with more than 26.6 billion streams. She was also nominated for six Grammy Awards and received seven nominations for MTV Video Music Awards.

Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy posts then deletes heart-wrenching new tribute to late star

Just a few days after his funeral, Kate Cassidy paid her late husband Liam Payne an emotional tribute.

The 25-year-old social media influencer made the decision to share some intimate photos of the couple during their first two years together. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, Liliam tragically passed away in October after falling from the third floor of a hotel. Last month, Buckinghamshire hosted the One Direction singer’s funeral.

Kate simply wrote, “I love you,” after sifting through the sweet moments she and Liam shared in a TikTok video. She compiled clips from Mazzy Star’s song Fade Into You in the now-deleted post. In close-ups of their travels, the couple was captured laughing, hugging, and kissing.

In one heartfelt moment, Liam picks up Kate, and another shows them beaming as they share a cozy cabin getaway. Kate also shared photos from bowling alley visits and ski trips. By sharing videos of them dancing in a bathroom together while cuddling in bed, she added a closer look at their relationship.

Kate and Liam started dating in October 2022 and before his tragic death, the pair headed to Argentina to see Niall Horan’s concert. Kate paid emotional tribute to her late boyfriend by sharing a heartfelt Instagram post where she said they had been hoping to improve their relationship.

She remarked, “A few weeks ago, we sat outside and manifested our lives together. Even though you instructed me not to look at it, I keep your note a secret. It said: ‘ Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444. Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way that we planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. We’ll be with you wherever I go for the rest of my life and the rest of my life. Forever yours, Katelyn, 444”.

Kate has since made the decision to Delete the (TikTok) post.

Kate explained “444” is the number of angels. On her Instagram she said: “More often, you will see the number 444 when you are feeling down. Simply put, the number 44 serves as a reminder that you can count on your angels to support you forever. You’ll feel reassured that the angels are protecting you and loving you when you see this number.

Kate travelled to England to attend Liam’s funeral service at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, with the support of her friend Damian Hurley. She remained in the country after the funeral, and while she was in London, she started to cry. Due to Liam’s absence, Kate had chosen to return to the couple’s Miami home on October 14th, which Kate had planned to do as he had stayed behind to renew his US visa.

She claimed that it was starting to feel a little too long to hang out in the country on social media. In a video she posted a TikTok before Liam died, Kate said: “I was so ready to leave. I love South America, but I detest staying too long there. Our scheduled five-day trip turned into two weeks, and I was like, “I need to go home. “

I’m A Celebrity winner Danny Jones in talks for huge TV roles as next steps revealed

Following his success on I’m a Celebrity, Danny Jones may want to land significant new ITV roles.

The 38-year-old McFly singer and guitarist won last night’s King of the Jungle award beating Coleen Rooney. He became emotional when hosts Ant and Dec revealed him as winner as Danny said: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk”. He continued, thanking the fans who showed him their support, and jokingly admitted it was nice to “be liked.”

He said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much”. Many fans are anticipating Danny’s next move after his win in the jungle. The star, along with Bradley Walsh and Joel Dommett, is reportedly interested in signing him for one of its main programs.

Danny and Tom Fletcher are currently The Voice judges, but Danny may soon add more shows to his lineup. According to a source, “Danny is the epitome of everything ITV loves.” He’s fun, family friendly and incredibly popular. He became a prime target for other shows they are developing because of how well-known he was on I’m A Celeb. Danny is a brilliant musician, but he is also great on TV. “

They claimed that ITV is hopeful that he will sign for another season of The Voice and that “there will be other shows” he could be perfect on. Before this year’s I’m A Celebrity winner was announced, Danny and Coleen spoke about their three-week experience. Danny said about his time:” This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable.

They made it so simple for us to endure the difficult circumstances. I’ve had some of the most difficult times in my life, some of the most difficult ones, and I’ve made an effort to enjoy the process. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic”.

Danny’s time spent in the Australian jungle won over a sizable fan base. Fans admitted to crying last week after Danny revealed details of his relationship with his father. He revealed to his campmate Oti Mabuse that his father gave him a middle name to change. The musician shared that his dad doesn’t speak to him, and said: “It’s just weird because I don’t feel I’ve really healed with it maybe”.

Then, just before Barry was expelled, he discovered that Barry McGuigan, 63, was also a campmate and his father. “You can go to therapy, but you still crave your dad and that’s what’s hard. That’s why I get so much satisfaction out of Barry”, he said. Danny explained that his dad was his best friend, but things quickly changed: “When he left us, that’s when I had to grow up real fast, I bought my mum’s house. I was 18 years old, I bought myself a flat in London and I bought my mum’s house, and I put my sister through university”.

The Mirror has contacted ITV for comment.
