Disco jockeys who specialize in playing recorded music for audiences during ceremonies, parties, and other social occasions reportedly stormed Kangiwa Square in Katsina State to protest their eight-month ban from the State Hisbah Board on Monday.

They argued that the state’s religious police had seized their millions of Naira-worth of property, making an appeal to the state government to allow them to conduct their lawful business distraction-free.

Their protest came at the same time as Governor Dikko Radda’s official commissioning of the Kofar Soro-Kofar Guga Road dualization at Katsina Metropolis’ Kangiwa Square.

The 1.2-kilometre road project which was, flagged off by the governor on March 13, 2024, was initially awarded by the Aminu Masari-led administration.

After overcoming his previous struggles with drink and drug addiction, Matthew Willis has revealed what he does every day.

The Busted actor, who is married to television host Emma Willis, has spent more than five years in recovery after four rehab sessions and a few repeats along the way.

The 41-year-old explained how his new mindset and distractions keep him on track despite his current fears of relapse in his life as he addressed his journey to a better stage of life.

As part of the changes he’s made, he’s removed booze from his tour rider, in favour of much healthier options, such as collagen, protein and fruit.

In his home life, the father-of-three said he is also a lover of daily ice baths and meditation, but has had “a telling off” about how long he takes to get ready for the day.

Because my morning routine was getting a little too stale, I had to have a firm telling off. It was literally four hours long, it was ridiculous,” he admitted.

Mattt continued to state that he would awaken at 4 in the morning. 30am to fit in many ice baths, meditation, a workout, an update in his gratitude Journal, a sauna session, followed by a supplement routine.

Speaking on The Life Of Bryony podcast, the Busted star expressed how much better he feels post-addiction, adding: “Life is pretty awesome right now. You know, and that’s achievable for people.

“And I think it’s how you get that message to the struggling addict, the struggling alcoholic, you know. And I believe that, in some ways, was what inspired me to do it. “

While in a much better head space, the singer did, however, admit that it’s “a very scary life outside of recovery”.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m completely free of drugs and alcohol, just like I don’t think about them every day and don’t try my hardest to avoid drinking and using them.

However, he said, “I am very aware that I am only one drink away from returning to where I was.” “I do see things in myself that irritate me occasionally, and work for me is tied to all of that. “

Matt has frequently attributed his steadfast wife to helping him through his difficulties. A month before their wedding, he finally checked into rehab after she repeatedly demanded that he get clean.

The singer then relapsed again before getting clean following the birth of the couple’s first child together, Isabelle, in 2009.

“I got sober, and then after a series of shambles and misery, I actually got sober when my daughter was about six months old,” he shared.

“And then I had eight years [drink and drug free],” Matt explained, before relapsing again on tour.

They are aware of what I want, what I don’t want, what I can do, and what I’m not going to do. ”

Seven months after revealing he had won his battle against cancer, American weather host Bob Nunnally passed away on Sunday at the age of 68. The host, who was a frequent guest on NBC4 Columbus, reportedly passed away due to complications during his battle with pancreatic cancer.

The broadcaster’s family confirmed the depressing news, releasing a statement to NBC that read, “The family requests privacy during this difficult time as we grieve our loss and personally contact family members.” I appreciate your compassion and understanding.

Bob revealed that during his health battle, he had lost over 100 pounds, revealing the impact the illness had had on his body. He remarked at the time, “I’ve never had a doctor tell me to gain weight in my entire life.”

Over the course of his career, Bob built up a following for his weathercasting on NBC4 – a position he held from 1984 and 1994. While his first work was initially done at the Ohio radio station WNCI in 1977 before moving to the WSNY in 1983. NBC reports that his funeral is being planned to take place in Marion, Indiana.

The Roc-A-Fella star, 55, has been dragged into P Diddy’s ongoing legal drama after an unnamed woman claims she was raped by the pair after the 2000 MTV Music Awards.

A civil lawsuit against Combs, which was originally filed in New York’s Southern District in October, was refiled on Sunday, listing Carter as a defendant in relation to an alleged incident at the MTV Awards, which he denies.

The accuser, who has been identified as Jane Doe in legal documents, has claimed the assault took place at a party after the award ceremony. A female celebrity has also been listed in the latest lawsuit, which accuses Diddy and Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) event.

An unnamed female celebrity was present at the time of the incident, according to the anonymous accuser, who claims she was assaulted at a house party after the New York awards.

Via the Instagram page of his label, Roc Nation, Jay-Z shared a strongly worded denial to the allegations against him, implying that the accuser’s lawyer was an “ambulance chaser” trying to extort him – and that his attempts would fail.

Call The Midwife (two episode special) – BBC1

Thanks to the Call The Midwife team, it’s going to be a very happy Christmas indeed. They’ve confirmed not one, but TWO festive specials – talk about a holiday treat. The Beeb has provided a hint as to how the community is shaken as Poplar prepares for a carol concert while keeping the majority of the surprises under wraps: “As Poplar gears up for a carol concert, fears grow that he may be nearby after a string of break-ins.

Set in 1969 during the Christmas season, we can expect plenty of heart-warming moment s… and a cliffhanger to leave us on the edge of our seats.

BBC 1: Gavin and Stacey

The Christmas special that everyone has been anticipating. Gavin, Stacey, Ness, and Bryn are back for a 90-minute festive treat, and it’s been five years since Tessa popped the big question to Smithy (James Corden). It’s time to catch up on what our beloved characters have been up to. So, what can we expect? Bryn’s packing for a trip to Essex, Gavin and Stacey are trying to spice up their 17-year marriage, and Gwen’s… well, she’s a bit off, truth be told.

Meanwhile, Nessa is diving into a new business venture, Neil the Baby is starting his apprenticeship, Pam is stressed about hosting duties, and Pete and Dawn are facing their own challenges. Let’s hope we finally discover some answers to those lingering queries, including, of course, what actually happened on the fishing trip. This might be our last encounter with the gang. It’s set to be a Christmas cracker of an episode.

Big news for Mrs Brown’s Boys fans. Back in September, the BBC confirmed that two Christmas specials were on their way in 2024, with the December 25 instalment marking the show’s milestone 50th episode. No teasers or plot details have been released yet, so we’ll have to wait a little while to find out what the festive chaos is all about.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special is a festive extravaganza. Six dazzling couples are set to shimmy, twirl, and sparkle their way through merry routines, all in a bid to win the hearts of the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas. A royal expert claims that the younger royal brother is “damaged” by his childhood experiences after Prince Harry exposed the divorce rumors that still swirl around him and Meghan Markle. At a panel discussion at a New York book event, Harry, 40, said he had grown used to the headlines about his and wife Meghan last week. “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house ten times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what”?

He did, however, acknowledge that it was “hard to keep up with” and that bad publicity was not a thing at all. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond spoke exclusively to OK! and described Harry as having a few personality traits that make his time in the spotlight difficult, particularly when it comes to the security issue.

“Harry is stubborn”, she said. He is also implausibly damaged by his mother’s actions, he said. Who can blame him for being so protective of his wife and kids?

” Especially when he is also an ex-serviceman who served in Afghanistan. Yes, there are glaring inconsistencies in his behaviour….. living in a gun toting culture, going with Meghan to Nigeria and Colombia. Speaking recently, the dad of two said:” All it takes is one lone actor, one person who read this stuff, to act on what they have read, and whether that is a knife or acid … they are genuine concerns for me, they are one of the reasons I won’t bring my wife back to this country]the UK]. “

But royal expert Jennie, who says the death of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, in 1997, has left a deep scar, says she can sympathise with him, especially when it comes to the ongoing rumours that he and Meghan are living ‘ separate lives’.

” I have some sympathy with his despair about the media…and social media in particular, with the trolls who peddle unsourced nonsensical rubbish about his marriage, “she said”. He says he is happy. I believe him. Stop trying to break up a marriage with which we have no knowledge.
