Laurence Fox faces trial next year accused of encouraging damage to ULEZ cameras

Actor Laurence Fox will face trial next March for encouraging people to damage ULEZ cameras. The 47-year-old appeared at Croydon Crown Court on Friday regarding social media posts he made on X in 2023.

He has denied encouraging or assisting people to damage ULEZ cameras through social media messages from September 12 to October 4. A trial date has now been set for March 23.

There will be a pre-trial review on February 27 but Laurence is not expected to attend that one. The trial will take place a few weeks later on the charge of intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an either-way offence.

He was arrested back in October 2023. A spokesperson told the Mirror: “On Wednesday 4, October officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of conspiring to commit criminal damage to ULEZ cameras and encouraging or assisting offences to be committed. He was arrested in Stockwell and has been taken to a South London police station where he remains in custody.”

At the time of his arrest, his house was searched. In the video, Laurence points around his home.

He told viewers: “Look how many coppers there are around my house”. There were multiple uniformed police officers wearing blue plastic gloves and holding clear plastic bags.

“Look at them. Coming to steal everything, take everything out of my house. That, ladies and gentleman, is the country that we live in,” he said in the video, which was shared online.

Lawrence returned to Twitter following his arrest, once he was released. He wrote on social media: “Hello. I’m back. Had to get a new phone as the 6 police who were barrelling into my house yesterday have taken every electronic device, including my boys’ iPads. Which is just plain malicious. I have a lot to say about the last few days. Speak in a bit. Never give in.”

He is best known for his roles in Lewis, Victoria and 2001 psychological horror film The Hole, Fox also released two music albums before embarking on a political career and founding the right-wing Reclaim Party in 2020.

The Sentencing Council confirmed that encouraging someone who threatens damage to property can result in the same sentence as a person who is making the threat themselves, which is up to 10 years in prison.

The Ulez was put in to monitor what cars enter and exit the special zones around London. For those vehicles that don’t meet the minimum emissions standards, they are required to pay a £12.50 each day or face a fine.

Love Island have announced three new bombshells will arrive on the show tonight – in a never before seen twist. For the first time in Love Island history, the boys will have their antics livestreamed back to their girls in the villa.

On tonight’s episode, Harry gets a text, which reads: “Boys, clear your schedules and get ready to leave the Villa! #BroTime #BeersAndBants,” and immediately they head out for a lads night out – with a twist.

Whilst the girls are back in the villa garden, they realise the boys night out will be there for them to watch. For the first time in Love Island history, the girls will have the boys’ antics streamed straight into the villa and the boys have no idea.

“We’ll get to see how they act!” Alima says – but should the girls be worried? The boys are chatting amongst themselves about their own couples, which doesn’t go down too well with the girls – but things get a lot worse when three new bombshells arrive.

Emily, Malisha and Yasmin soon arrive, with Harry asking the new bombshells: “Are you coming back with us?” Malisha then says: “Of course I am!” with Yasmin asking how things are going between them and their girls.

With no idea they’re being watched, will the truth leave some of the Islanders shocked?

24-year-old Malisha is a teaching assistant from Broxbourne and she’s looking for someone tall dark and handsome. Asked what she wants, she said: “A tall, dark, handsome man. He has to be very tall. I’m 5ft7/ 5ft8. I want to be able to wear heels and feel feminine. He has to be funny, but not too funny; I have to be the funniest. I want someone that’s caring and a bit loving, but then I like someone that can give me a bit of rude banter. I like to be a bit cheeky.”

Insisting she isn’t worried about stepping on toes, she added: “If I want it, I’m going to get it. I always get what I want. I’m an only child, so of course I’m going to get what I want. I’m in there for myself. I want to find a man. Actually, I want to find a husband.”

Commercial Banking Executive Yasmin, 24, from London says her biggest ick is a guy that’s “stingy”. Explaining what she would want in a man, she added: “I’m looking for a guy who is fit, has a nice body and who is funny with a bit of banter.”

Insurance Development Executive Emily, 24, from Aberdeen admits she’s “really stubborn”. She said: “I am always right and I don’t argue unless I know I’m right. If someone’s arguing with me and I know I’m right… watch out! I’m not very good at being the one to say ‘sorry’, I’m stubborn and set in my ways. If I make my mind up I’m set, which can be good and bad. I’m decisive, 100%.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell sends four-word wedding message to Joe Sugg

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell delivered a major wedding hint to partner Joe Sugg.

The flame-haired dancer, 36, and her partner Joe, 33 and known for his YouTube fame, hit it off during their stint on the BBC favourite in 2018. The duo shimmied their way to the final while Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton clinched the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Dianne and Joe’s romance swiftly developed off the dance floor, and they confirmed they were an item later that same year, eventually moving in together and snapping up their first property in February 2021.

Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for Joe to get down on one knee. On her Winning Isn’t Everything podcast with fellow Strictly champ Chris McCausland, Dianne gave a lighthearted message to her other half.

During a conversation about fingers on the podcast, Dianne gestured to her ring finger asking: “What’s that one, your best friend finger?” which led Chris to quip: “It’s the one Joe’s done nothing with.”

To which Dianne replied: “Exactly, we need to remind Joe what that finger holds. That finger is feeling very lonely, it needs something to weigh it down with.”

Following the purchase of their swanky £3.5million London pad in 2021, Dianne said they were “playing their marriage by ear”.

Putting her career at the forefront, she said to the Mirror: “Joe and I don’t really talk about that kind of thing. We’re both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other’s company so much and whatever happens, happens.”

Dianne has opened up about the duo’s aspirations to eventually build a family. Last year, the Aussie-born Strictly star spoke about the couple’s desire to have children “when it feels right”.

She candidly shared that, just like their wedding plans, they’re not in any hurry to progress in their romantic tale.

Joe Sugg, whose elder sister Zoe is a YouTuber, was 27 when he met Dianne. He has openly declared that Dianne is his first “proper girlfriend”.

In a heartfelt chat with The Sunday Times back in 2021, Joe revealed: “Dianne is my first girlfriend. Other than, like, my pen pal from when I was 10.”

He has also admitted to being somewhat cautious at first about posting photos with his significant other online. Explaining the reason, he said: “My audience was very protective over me. But they instantly accepted Dianne, because we were partnered on Strictly, so after the show finished and we got together, they already felt like they knew her well.”

Danniella Westbrook pictured in hospital bed before face-rebuilding surgery

The surgery to rebuild the actress’s face after damage from drug abuse and years of operations was a “success”, her partner revealed on social media

Danniella Westbrook has undergone a series of surgeries over the years

Actress Danniella Westbrook has revealed that she is getting facial surgery to rebuild her face after several years of botched operations that followed on from her battle with drug addiction.

The former EastEnders star shared a photograph of her in a hospital bed on social media with the caption: “Big day for me heading down for a very long surgery right now to rebuild my face. Then I can get back to work and we can get on with our life together @chasarealtal. I love you x.”

Her partner, Charlie, shared a video on his own Instagram story to thank everyone for offering support to Danniella. He added: “This is something that she wanted to do for herself, it’s been a long time coming. I love her for her, I met her for her.. She’s beautiful inside and out. This is something she wants to do for herself.”

After the surgery, Charlie posted a story captioned: “Thank you everyone she is doing OK, still long way to go but it was a success, now time to rest and recover.” Danniella reposted it, adding: “Don’t know what I’d do without you.”

The actress has undergone a series of surgical procedures over the years, and was most notably in the press for getting her septum reconstructed after years of drug abuse led to its collapse.

Danniella has been open about her struggles with addiction and said, on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016: “When I got over a drug addiction, I then swapped that addiction for a cosmetic surgery addiction.”

In 2023, Danniella went to Turkey for her fifth reconstruction surgery where she underwent a surgical thread lift as well as fat grafting on her chin and had her jawline etched. She told The Sun that the operation, which involved removing fat from her body to put into her cheeks and lips, hadn’t worked.

She said: “I also have big lumps of fluid all over my belly. They’re like big tennis balls. It’s ruined my body. I have never been in pain like it. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I was hysterically crying every single day.”

Several years before, in 2015, a botched operation on her teeth and mouth area had left her in pain.

She told the Mirror: “I did nearly die, I had two lots of IV drips in each side and then they took all my teeth out again and gave me this denture, which has broken my heart because I didn’t need all of my teeth out in the first place.”

Last month, Danniella opened up about her love life on social media, and told followers that she had found her perfect match.

She wrote: “For the first time in my whole adult life I’ve met someone who expects nothing for me , allows me to be me, excepts [sic] my past and is excited for my future and who builds me up everyday with nothing to gain except to see me happy…”

Danniella continued: “Every battle every heartbreak and every tear was worth it because today I got someone so special and my best friend beside me. Together we will make every dream come true.”

BBC radio star lets rip expletive outburst live on air after sudden burst of cramp

A BBC star had to ‘profusely apologise’ after an expletive outburst was mistakenly heard live on air while presenting his lunchtime radio show

A BBC radio presenter had to apologise after a huge blunder led to him swearing live on air. After speaking to listeners, BBC Radio Derby host Ian Skye was left embarrassed when his expletives were heard live on air when he thought he had cut from his segment.

Ian told listeners to message in if they had any requests. However, as the show’s jingle began to play, stunned listeners would have heard an in-pain Ian curse in agony. In the background, the presenter wails: “Ow, f***ing hell,” before the show cuts back to the presenters chatting after a song had played.

As his co-host joked they had been on a training course the day before to improve their presenting skills, they said: “I don’t think they suggested suddenly getting unbearably agonising cramp and shouting really loud on the radio.”

Ian stuttered in response, saying: “No, that’s probably not what I should have come in and done today.” He then added: “Can I just say, if before that amazing song from Kate Bush, and I say if. You’d have had to be deaf if you didn’t hear a rude word.

“I really profusely apologise. You know when something happens and it’s just instinct. My very, very calm producer said ‘you’re still on the radio, Ian.”

After TV critic Scott Bryan shared the clip to his Twitter/X page, users were left in hysterics. One user simply replied with three crying with laughter emoji faces.

Another said: “I don’t [think] this will be going up on BBC Sounds with swearing in it.” They then questioned: “Didn’t it happen to Radio 2s Sara Cox Once?”

The incident comes days after fans of The One Show were left stunned as Lulu appeared to swear on live television. While reminiscing about her career with the presenters, the iconic pop star had a slip of the tongue.

However, it didn’t go unnoticed by viewers with keen hearing. While there wasn’t an immediate apology on air, the reactions of the presenters were unmistakable as they processed the unforeseen gaffe.

At the time, Lulu was sharing an anecdote about a conversation she had with Tina Turner. She quoted: “And Tina, I have to tell you something else. Tina said, ‘I love it, it is just my life story’ and I went, ‘Hey girl, it is my f***ing life story’.”

With a rueful smile, Lulu added, “I didn’t say it straight to her face, though,” which led to Alex slowly nodding, utterly speechless.

Viewers picked up on the moment and took to social media to vent their feelings. “Did I hear her right?,” one stunned viewer questioned.

Another, who was clearly entertained by the mishap, humorously commented: “Lulu just dropped an f bomb.”

Eamonn Holmes rants about ‘horrible’ former co-stars and brands them ‘false, false, false’

GB News host Eamonn Holmes has hit out at his former co-stars branding some of them “horrible” and “fake” during a recent episode of his podcast

GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes didn’t mince his words about former colleagues in the television industry, slating some as “horrible” and repeatedly calling them “false, false, false”.

On his latest podcast episode of Things We Like, Eamonn was joined by co-presenter Paul Coyte and tough guy actor Ray Winstone. During a candid conversation, The Departed actor Ray shared insights on his life in Los Angeles and how the Hollywood buzz led him back to the UK, starting Eamonn on a scathing rant about the entertainment world.

Ray said: “I couldn’t live in LA, it’s constant,” and pointed out: “Even the guy who puts petrol in your car works in the industry. It’s like every two minutes, it’s all they want to talk about.

“We talk about birds and football and boxing, you know, they talk about movies. Hollywood and Los Angeles are wonderful places when you’re doing alright, but when you’re not.”

Eamonn, fresh from his departure from his long-standing gig at This Morning, jumped in to sound off on his disdain for phony relationships within showbiz circles, reports Belfast Live.

The seasoned presenter, not shy about his feelings regarding people in the biz, spoke in a mocking tone: “‘I don’t like this character, I don’t like so and so, I like that person, I didn’t get on with them,'” before hinting at similarities between himself and Winstone, saying, “That’s what the business is based on. I mean, I’m like you [Ray Winstone]. I get myself into trouble because if I don’t like someone, they’ll know I don’t like them.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Eamonn remarked on the frequent hypocrisy he encounters, noting: “And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: ‘Oh, he’s lovely, he’s fantastic’.”

Eamonn Holmes has recently shared his candid views on celebrity genuineness, stating: “If they say to me: ‘What’s that Ray Winstone like?’ I’ll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn’t say it if you weren’t, but so many are just false, false, false.”

While discussing the authenticity of stars in showbiz, all three men found common ground, although they refrained from naming individuals associated with their sentiments.

Rumours once circled about a rift between Eamonn and his former GMTV co-star Anthea Turner during the 90s, but both have indicated that any past issues have been resolved.

In recent times, Eamonn has not held back on expressing his opinions about ex-This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield following Phillip’s departure from ITV due to a controversial relationship with a younger man within the company.
