Mollie King says she’s ‘taking nesting to the extreme’ on maternity leave as she shares one Christmas wish

Mollie King, The Saturdays sensation, is positively glowing as she gears up to welcome her second child, all while keeping up with her two year old whirlwind, Annabella. Despite feeling the strain of her pregnancy during these final months, Mollie tells OK! that Christmas is a time that means more to her than just the holiday traditions.

She claims that she enjoys being with her family and completely shutting off, explaining how difficult it is for her to relax in the hustle and bustle of life. “I find it difficult to slow down and turn off generally because everyone in our lives is busy, but I think Christmas is the ideal time for that.” Mollie, who has been engaged to cricket star Stuart Broad since January 2021, has even managed to squeeze in some spinning tunes for the American Express Shop Small celebration while she is currently on leave from her BBC Radio 1 presenter duties.

Little Annabella turned two recently

Hi Mollie! How are you physically coping with taking maternity leave?

Right now, I’m physically exhausted. I’m running after a toddler 24/7 or carrying a baby in my belly, but the combination unquestionably keeps me moving! A great treat to sit down in the evenings each night.

When the time comes, are you all prepared and prepared?

I wish I could say that the hallway where my pregnancy bag was safely placed was packed, but being me, I don’t do things in half. In these final few months of pregnancy, I’ve decided to also renovate a portion of the house! Taking “nesting” to the extreme. So, there’s quite a bit to do still, time is of the essence!! !

What’s your own favourite childhood memory from Christmas? What customs have you maintained?

I enjoy watching Home Alone with my two older sisters because it reminds me of when I was a child. I’m sure it won’t be long before my daughter will be doing something similar to the way my sisters and I used to do Christmas plays in our living room every year with singing and dancing for our parents and grandparents.

Since 2021, Mollie has been engaged to Stuart the cricket player.

What lessons about Christmas, beyond presents, do you try to impart to Annabelle? Have you ever visited Santa Claus before?

Although Annabella is still very young, I would like to take away from Christmas that it is a time for giving back and being with loved ones. It’s not about the materialistic things, it’s about the simpler things, which shouldn’t be taken for granted. Even the most basic family traditions, such as the one where we have lunch together, are extremely important. She has already adored our previous collaboration, which we have already taken advantage of.

She has seen Christmas firsthand, which is incredible because it feels like she has done it for the first time, which is really special. We’re off to see Father Christmas very soon, which I’m ridiculously excited about! As she ages, I can’t wait to share the magic that Christmas brings her.

What’s your own Christmas wish?

My wish is for Annabella’s Christmas to be just as special as ever because we are expecting a second child around Christmas.

What do you find difficult?

It can be a bit of a rush to sort everything out before the break, like everyone else; this year I’ve been getting ready for maternity leave and the arrival of our new baby, so it’s been a lot! I keep telling myself that it will all come together eventually.

Do you take time out to pause and reflect? How so?

I’m making a lot of effort at this right now. I now understand how crucial that is because of having my daughter. I’ve always had the ability to pause and be grateful when good fortune strikes me, but having my daughter has shown me how quickly time fly and how crucial it is to stop and reflect.

After wrapping up her last-minute work commitment, Mollie is now officially on mat leave.

Have any of the suggestions you gave for reducing from one to two been put into practice? !

I have purchased a lot of books to try to explain what’s to come, as well as books I haven’t yet read about how to deal with two because I’m a real over-thinker and worrier at times. !

Annabella turned two recently, how would you describe the last two years?

Our daughter’s arrival in the world has been our highest high. I always wanted to be a mum, so it’s been a dream come true! I’ve never known a love like it…Stuart doesn’t mind me saying that, haha! Being herself has truly amazed me how much she has been able to bring joy and hope through some of the most difficult times. I cycled from London to Hull, my late Dad’s hometown, for Comic Relief, which was something I will never forget and for which I am so grateful to all those who helped raise that amount.

Why did you sign up for the American Express Small campaign? Why do you value small-scale shopping?

As we begin making purchases or trips during the holiday season, I believe it is crucial to support the local businesses that make up our high streets. Make the effort to support small independent businesses who take great care in the selection of the goods they provide by visiting your favorite independent business or trying something new. It’s a great time to get involved because small businesses are the backbone of our communities and American Express encourages everyone to shop small.

How did you find the energy at your recent DJ gig? !

This was the perfect way to wrap up everything work related this year. It was lovely to see people supporting a small business while having fun and knowing the music would give me energy.

What do you hope will happen in 2025?

I hope to learn, pretty rapidly, how to look after two little ones at the same time. I am incredibly excited. I’ve got a lot of exciting work projects in the works, including many for Radio 1. In the spring, I have a project I can’t wait to launch with Matt Edmondson.

The relationship announcement was met with mixed reviews at the time, with some criticizing Gomez’s former partner Justin Bieber’s relationship history.

However, the Love On songstress fiercely defended her decision to date Blanco. Gomez wrote on social media at the time that the record producer was “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her, adding, “He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts”. According to reports, the couple’s inner circles support their romance as well.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Something you once believed to be true to you is no longer appropriate for your family or professional life. Although you don’t know when you first started feeling differently, you are aware that your needs are changing and that you are more than willing to make changes.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

A friend or partner may interpret your advice as unwelcome criticism, even though you are only attempting to assist. It might be preferable to hold back your thoughts for the moment and offer your open opinion when requested or when you feel more at ease.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23)

Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)

A personal project will succeed in a similar positive way to a team effort. You might still receive financial rewards from your work, though it’s not likely to be as significant or significant as joint commitments. A unique way will result in a career achievement. This is your time to shine.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sept 23)

Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)

It will be surprising inspiring to participate in a charitable project or organize a cultural event.

Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

You can’t afford to miss out on some rest. You’ve never stopped for a while, and now you’re running on fumes. Additionally, it will make you feel at ease when you’re all by yourself. It’s not a luxury to take time for yourself. You can use your energy to recharge when you’re by yourself.

Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

You might remember a recent conversation from the beginning of the day. You are optimistic about the future thanks to discussions. Expectations are being met, and events are planned to go as planned. Unexpected funding will give way to much of what is happening right now, which will be enjoyable.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

What if you can trust your intuition to get you where you want to go with your goals despite the fact that you aren’t always a person to rely on your feelings? Listen to your feelings and follow your gut feeling rather than circling circles as you are doing right now. What follows might surprise you favorably.

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

If it is what you really want, you could make a meaningful connection. This will be a relationship that’s worth exploring further. At the same time, keep an eye out for a creative opportunity. This could come your way through a business partnership.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Your mood will improve as a result of the improvements you are making in your business. There are exciting festive events planned, and things are looking good. Just try not to overcommit yourself. Planning an after-work gathering will be good for your career. A neighbour’s suggestion could help solve a travel issue.

Gemma Collins teases drastic career change – and fans are begging her to do it

Emmy Collins has made fun of the beginning of a potential pop career, even making hints that Mariah Carey could take Mariah Carey’s place on the charts.

The TOWIE star partnered with Baileys for the holiday season, and she led the London launch of Baileys Sip and Sing, where she performed a Christmas carol sing-along alongside the Gold Vocal Collective choir.

Reflecting on the experience, the 43-year-old told The Sun: “Oh hun, I was living my best life on that stage! Having The Gold Vocal Collective as my support and the audience’s participation in pure holiday magic. In 2025, I’m definitely hearing more singing.

Who am I to say no to a GC Christmas tour if the people want it? It’s all about bringing joy, and if singing does that, I’m up for it”!

Naughty Boy, also known as Shahid Khan, and Gemma were scheduled to collaborate on a summer hit in 2020, but the agreement ultimately failed. Later, Naughty Boy stated to The Sun, “I love the GC.” I was going to do something with her as she can sing, but I have my priorities.

She has potential, I believe, but it needs to come from her. She must have a strong desire for it. I wish her the best of luck with it.

Gemma did eventually release music in 2020. She teamed up with Darren Day for a Christmas single, Baby It’s Cold Outside, which charted on the Official UK Singles Chart.

Gemma’s close friends, Jedward, have recently released a new Christmas single titled LOVEmas, which debuted on December 6th. Following a challenging update, the former X Factor contestants revealed in an exclusive interview with The Mirror that they intend to spend Christmas Day with Gemma.

Because the majority of our family members have sadly passed away, the pop stars told us that while Christmas is very sad, we will be having it with Gemma this year. Gemma’s a real one, you know, having someone like Gemma in our lives has definitely been hugely uplifting. Last year, we celebrated Christmas with Gemma.

Gemma and Jedward have been close friends for many years, and the twins frequently visit her in Essex and Ireland. According to reports, the trio has shared three Christmases. Gemma shared with her children that they would be visiting her over the holiday season last year and posted a video of them singing Feliz Navidad on Instagram with a sincere caption. She wrote:” It’s OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS when @jepicpics (the twins ‘ Instagram page) come to stay for the whole time. The kindest people to me and real friends. “

Gemma will also be spending Christmas with her fiancé, Rami Hawash. After their engagement, Gemma became a stepmother to Rami’s son, Tristan.

Supernanny Jo Frost divides fans with stern warning to parents about costly common mistake

Supernanny Jo Frost has issued a warning to parents in an effort to save them money as Christmas approaches.

The 54-year-old childcare guru shared some of her top advice on her Instagram page and advised parents to “wise up.” She directed her skepticism at baby nappies adverts. She argued that the ads were encouraging people to use the restroom and instead urged them to potty train their children as children were still in their young ages.

Parents wise up, these companies are loving the excuses you make for why you haven’t potty trained your child, because the longer they stay in them, the more money they make.

Jo Frost’s followers were given her advice (via Lifetime).

If you are persistent, I’ve been potty training kids for four decades, and it never lasts longer than a week. In fact, having a child with you causes power struggles if you’re not.

Before offering her advice, she advised parents to “get your kids ready for the milestone” in the sense that “when you commit, you must be all in, so invest in a little travel potty because changing up in a car will delay the process.”

As the discussion grew, her words received mixed responses in the comments section. While some praised her advice, others hit out. One user argued that “forcing a child to do something they’re not ready to do” can only make things worse. There are reusable nappies for every child, and everyone has a different personality.

And another hit out at her for apparent” mum-bashing””. EVERY child is different, “they fumed”. Every parent parents differently. All cultures are different. There are many reasons why a typical child will typically reach certain milestones by the age of 18, but there are also many reasons for this. I’m all for raising awareness but this is written rather condescendingly. “

Jo frequently posts on the platform and recently criticizes how “technology has made it possible for us to slowly disable our children.” She acknowledged that parenting is challenging, but that more needs to be done to acknowledge that some issues shouldn’t be resolved when developing. She said:” Stop making it a competition… I’ve endured most trends and fads twice in the same field of work, and my advice is to stay away from trends and fads and adhere to strong values. Everyone can work with that. “

Three huge female stars set for Glastonbury 2025 after Rod Stewart announcement

In 2025, Glastonbury fans will be treated to three massive female stars, according to reports.

Last month, Rod Stewart was announced as the first headliner. 22 years after taking the stage at the festival for the first time, the star will play the Legends slot on Sunday afternoon at Worthy Farm. Now, it’s claimed three huge names are set to join him.

Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, and Charli XCX have all been confirmed to play at the June festival, according to sources. The Other Stage will be headlined by Charli, according to an insider, and Chappell will play the Pyramid Stage.

Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX are reportedly scheduled to perform at Glastonbury in 2019 (Variety via Getty Images).

Olivia is returning to Worthy Farm after playing BST Hyde Park, so her slot has been fixed, the source continued to inform The Sun. Although Emily had a real desire to return to its rock roots, Glastonbury is doing so by including three of the biggest female actors in the world.

They claimed the final line-up will be “really impressive” due to the size of the acts taking to the stages. Nile Rodgers is also rumored to be performing a set, as is Stevie Wonder. Additionally, fans predict seeing Neil Young again.

It’s claimed that the Heart of Gold rocker is open to the idea of a return in the 16 years since his last Glastonbury performance. Neil recently disclosed that his travel plans were being revised. He claimed in the letter that he wanted to abandon the indoor venues’ plans for outdoor gigs. The actor stated on his website that “We don’t want to have to cancel any concerts for health reasons next summer. “

Following the update, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Neil’s website had also updated to include a picture of a ticket from 2009’s Glastonbury. There is a bit of a (for me) too true rumour floating around, according to a user who shared a screenshot of Neil’s website update on Twitter (X). Neil Young has set up his Glastonbury 2009 set up on his website just to lighten the flames. Add in the fact that he is planning dates in Europe for the following year, plus a few other little details, and…
