Actor Joe Alwyn is said to be hoping that he can “focus on his life” following the news that his ex Taylor Swift has got engaged to Travis Kelce. The couple announced their engagement after two years together earlier this week.

Taylor, 35, had once been in a relationship with Joe, 34, for more than six years. The exes, who had faced engagement rumours whilst they were together, split up in 2023. There’s now speculation over how he allegedly “really feels” about the news that the singer is engaged to NFL star Travis, 35.

Joe, who has appeared in movies like The Favourite (2018), is said to be wishing his ex-girlfriend the best of her relationship. However, it’s been suggested that Taylor shouldn’t anticipate hearing from him following the announcement on Tuesday.

A source told the Daily Mail that the news is the “final nail in the coffin” when it comes to him thinking about her. They said: “Taylor’s engagement is the final nail in the coffin to any thoughts Joe will ever have about her again.”

He added, “Yes, he sincerely hopes she is doing well and is in a good place,” but he hasn’t reached out to her to offer congratulations. He thinks it is unnecessary, and he thinks she wouldn’t want to hear from him in any way.

The source speculates that the ex-partners have both left their union, which they have called “once very special” Joe now wants to be seen as more than just one of Taylor’s exes moving forward, according to the source, adding that he now hopes to be able to “focus” on his own life and career.

Joe has spoken about his relationship with Taylor and the commentary around it on occasion. Whilst speaking to the Times last year, the Conversations with Friends star suggested that it’s hard to “navigate” any break-up.

He added, “I hope anyone and everyone can understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of more than six and a half years.” That is challenging to navigate.

He added that dating in the public eye makes it an “abnormal” situation. Joe said: “What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

On Tuesday, Taylor and Travis made the announcement in a joint post on Instagram. Further details have been made available since the first report was made regarding the Kansas City Chiefs player’ proposal in his garden.

The couple’s caption for their post read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” next to a TNT emoji. Taylor’s song So High School, from her last album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, was included in the arrangement.

After being diagnosed with Stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in 2023, Baywatch star Nicole Eggert revealed on social media that she had a mastectomy.

Baywatch star Nicole Eggert revealed she underwent a mastectomy in a health update shared on her Instagram page. The actor has been open about her journey and fight against cancer, using her page to document the process of doctors appointments, treatments, and now, her mastectomy.

Nicole revealed last year she finished treatment for Stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer, which she was diagnosed with in December 2023. And now, she shared an update with a mirror selfie as she rocked black sports bra a few days after the operation.

When she finished treatment last year, she told People: “There’s a lot of waiting in this and it’s sort of something I didn’t realise and nobody really talks about.

You don’t know what’s happening, so you have to focus on the grey area, which is the hardest. I felt like I was having a productive time while I was receiving treatment.

Cribriform carcinoma is a rare, invasive breast cancer that typically progresses slowly and is characterized by its distinctive “sieve-like” cell pattern under the microscope.

Nicole initially believed that her menopause symptoms were real. She experienced “terrible pain” in her left breast after gaining 25 pounds in three months. She found the lump while doing self-examination.

Upon visiting the doctors, mammograms and biopsies confirmed that she had cancer. Nicole said: “This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sail through life. I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through it.”

Nicola took to her Instagram account on August 8 to share a life update with followers, revealing that she had been through scans and had anxiety throughout the process.

She said: “That anxiety leading up to it is debilitating, like it’s horrible.I went in today to get my results, and I was for sure going to vomit all over the waiting room. I was shaking. I kept thinking I was going to faint.

“And then I get the results, and thank God, they’re clear! So then I’m sobbing. I’m crying and weeping with gratitude and happiness and all the emotions, it’s so up and down. It’s so much on us… It’s wild to me how quickly I can get into a dark place before I get the results.”

She wrote, “I will endeavor to accept my life, it is taking me where I need to go – The promise of a new day,” in the caption.

With the release of her gripping new book Best Foot Forward, Shirley Ballas opens up to the Mirror about the end of her relationship with Danny Taylor for the first time.

Shirley Ballas recalls the precise moment when the world sank. Her phone suddenly lit up as she snuggled up with her 87-year-old mother Audrey at 9 p.m. on the day of her 64th birthday.

It was a relative of her fiance Danny Taylor telling her that he’d gone missing, his phone was off and his family were very worried about him. Suddenly she was engulfed by the harrowing thoughts of her brother David who had tragically taken his own life, in 2003, aged 44.

She chimes in quietly, “All those memories came flooding back… it triggered all these emotions.” She spent the next few hours frantically looking for Danny, calling all of his friends and family, before giving her number to the police, who were also concerned about the circumstances.

She noticed that Danny had read her Whatsapps at 2 a.m. However, Danny returned the following day and continued as if nothing had happened, causing him to grow angry. She realized almost immediately that she couldn’t have someone who could end her suffering once more.

“From the moment I die, I will never forget that day.” She says, “I can tell you that my mother was just so upset and replaying all of her trauma when I looked across in the middle of the night.” I initially believed that this couldn’t continue. Not just for my sake, but also for my mother.

Strictly Come Dancing star Shirley is opening up to the Mirror as she prepares to release her incredible new memoir, Best Foot Forward. And talking to the warm-hearted star, it’s clear the night of her birthday has left an indelible mark.

Shirley recalls how much she still loved him but felt she couldn’t continue to do so. It’s all very depressing, they say.

She and Danny, both 13, met while performing panto together in 2018, and Danny is 13 years younger. In Jack and the Beanstalk in Liverpool, the TV star was playing Mother Nature and Danny was the evil Fleshcreep. The pair had been dating for four and a half years. She acknowledges that after getting engaged in 2021, she quickly fell head over heels for him. Even the wedding rings were purchased by her.

“It was obvious how much I cherished that man,” she said. And he entered my life when I had a great deal of need, she explains. He was such a kind person. What’s the nicest way to say this, though? There were red flags along the line that I chose to ignore, but it only got to the point where the relationship was becoming increasingly difficult for me.

If there was a disagreement or heated discussion between them, Shirley claims that Danny was a “drifter by nature.” They would not talk for days. She claims it was similar to her father, who frequently fought off with her during her early years.

Things she once found endearing, like not knowing when his train arrived at her front door or arriving at her house with a broken suitcase, quickly started to deteriorate. She describes in the book how she “thinks that’s how I should show him I loved him” by giving him gifts.

So he received the “best of the best” items like custom-made clothing, Gucci shoes, Mont Blanc cufflinks, gorgeous holidays, and a Mini Coupé. Since he wasn’t making a living, she even hired him as her temporary resident during Covid.

We weren’t progressing together anymore, and she says, “I’m already worried about things that are going on in his life,” and she’s growing even more concerned. I simply needed some tranquility.

After splitting following that fateful night, communication between the two of them has been sparse. They exchange the odd text message but it feels that Shirley has been doing the heavy-lifting on that front. “We still haven’t seen each other face to face since that night, which I’ve asked for many times,” she says. “I’m a person who needs closure, and it’s just never closed. I always think it’s nice to sit in a room, because when people write text messages, you don’t really know the tone.”

Unsurprisingly, Shirley admits she’s not keen to rush into another relationship, if at all. She has been married twice before. She tied the knot with her dance partner Sammy Stopford in 1980 but divorced after four years. Then there was a fiery marriage to another dancer Corky Ballas with whom she has a son, Mark.

Due to allegations of infidelity, it ended in 2007. She briefly engaged to her first dance partner, Nigel Tiffany, at the age of 16, and they are still close friends today.

She says, “I don’t think I’ll ever have another relationship, but it would have to be with someone who was much calmer and saw our growth go forward.” That doesn’t mean that I didn’t adore Danny during those six years we spent together. I simply didn’t really have a choice.

She admits in the book that she feels “incomplete and a little lost” despite having grown used to being on her own once more. Even though she jokes that she is considering joining dating app Raya, these experiences have only strengthened her conviction that nothing is everlasting.

“I believe my toyboy days are over.” If they are fit, I would say anything from 55 to 70, she goes on. It is obvious that her son, 38, and mother, Audrey, 38, are now her true love.

The latter moved in with Shirley in her south-east London home in 2021, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Like this time around, she’s always been by her daughter’s side.

She wasn’t sure about it when I told her I wanted to get married at the age of 16. She laughs and then I got married at age 19, so I believe I was a constant source of pain in her butt for the rest of her years. “And then, of course, I left my first husband and fled to America, and then, of course, I became pregnant in the middle of my career.

I remember calling her and telling her, “You know what, Mum, I’m pregnant,” and she was shocked. She has seen it all, therefore.

The actor also appeared in Holby City and two Vera episodes on ITV detective.

1000-lbs Sisters star Katie Slaton’s cousin, Amanda Halterman, paid tribute to her ‘best friend’ and ‘life of the party’ following her tragic death aged 37. The heartbreaking news of Katie’s death comes several months after it was announced she was diagnosed with Stage 4 gastric adenocarcinoma.

Beloved star Katie appeared on the popular show with her cousins Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton, whose weight loss journey was the focus of the TLC programme. She also appeared in series five, when Tammy was released from a weight-loss rehabilitation centre.

Following her death, her cousin Amanda paid tribute to Katie – who she said was a “force to be reckoned with”.

She was both my best friend and the life of the [party]. I am aware that you were welcomed home by both of our grandparents and friends. Please pray for my aunt, uncle, cousins, but most of all, for Natalie’s strength and the birth of the children.

“Pray for everyone who loves her,” he asks. Thank you to everyone who has shown support for her. #cancersucks”.

Amanda took to social media to ask her followers to pray for the family before her passing. She also penned the following message to Katie: “Please whisper a prayer for our family as we continue to support] Katie.” I’m so happy to be able to support you.

Katie, who appeared on a number of the show’s episodes, was revealed earlier this year to have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

According to the Daily Mail, Katie had gastric adenocarcinoma, which the outlet described as an aggressive form of stomach cancer.

When Amanda announced her death, fans were quick to pay their condolences, with one saying: ” “Deepest sympathy & condolences goes out to you Amanda, your family & friends.” Another said: “Praying that the Lord holds you all close in this time.”

Someone else emailed “Sending you all strength and peace in the present.” I’m so sorry for both of you. I’m so sorry for your loss, Amanda, and a fourth person commented on the post. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

The singer has described the new album Man’s Best Friend as a “party for heartbreak,” and it’s thought to make reference to Barry Keoghan, her ex-boyfriend.
