Karen recalls discovering lumps in her breasts previously, once after receiving HRT during menopause, but neither of them turned out to be cancerous.

She made the speculative observation that “I have no reason to believe this, but in my head, I believe the benign lump in this was probably brought on by HRT.” I don’t know, because I immediately gave up on HRT.

Medical professionals acknowledge that while there is no conclusive evidence linking HRT to cancer, it can marginally increase the risk of some conditions, particularly breast cancer, as well as ovarian or womb cancer. The risk is influenced by the type of HRT, the length of the treatment, and personal factors like family history and age.

Karen acknowledged that she occasionally “wobbled,” adding, “I think it was hard,” but she thinks she may still be partially unaware of her condition.

She expressed concern about her condition, saying, “I’m not in any pain, or whether my head is still in the sand.” I don’t believe I have any problems. On that side, I don’t notice any lumps. It’s exactly as it’s occurring to someone else.
